The overall reputation of the company reveals significant dissatisfaction among customers, primarily due to issues with booking accuracy, hidden fees, and inadequate customer service. Many reviews highlight frustrations with non-refundable reservations and uncommunicated changes, leading to feelings of being misled. While some customers appreciated the initial pricing, the subsequent hidden costs and lack of support during disputes overshadowed these positives. A recurring sentiment is a lack of accountability from the company, prompting numerous customers to vow never to use the service again. This feedback indicates a critical need for improved transparency and customer support practices.

This the worst travel agent company. It so bad that when I call them and they say that Let me connect to the AMAZING customer reps I feel like THROWING UP. They hold you ransom to your ticket and have to shell more money in order to address that
Please please please never book with priceline.
I am not a person who enjoys giving bad reviews. I usually let things go even if I suffer a little bit.
But, priceline has broke through all my tolerance limits.
Their customer service is terrible.
I had to make a change in my airline booking.
I called them and explained everything, they made an excuse that call your airline directly.
I did that, airline told me that they for sure are making excuses, the booking is through them,. They need to change it.
I called again, more new excuses and it went on like that.
I wasted my complete one day just to explain them the situation time and again and to reschedule the booking.
Booked a flight using their "Express Service" (no itinerary or airline until you book). The website ad states, quoted "baggge and advance seat selection included". A lie. When the booking was completed, the seat selection on the ticket stated "seat assignment at check-in". The come-on Priceline uses would have been "auto salesman" worthy if they would have included some disclaimer on the advanced seat selection like "subject to airline restrictions", or "not always applicable". But it doesn't, and they lie. When contacted about the ad, the response was "to bad, so sad, you can always cancel within the normal 24 hour period" Now if you have ever booked flights, it is not an easy process, and takes time. So, Priceline continues to bait and switch, pulling customers away from other sites using fraudulent advertising. The tickets are the same price on 6 different booking sites. I have filed a complaint with my state's business fraud division. Don't take my word for it, check it out yourself, and look for the "advance seat selection included"
Had a work trip scheduled and had to push it back a day due to the nature of the work. Priceline refused to consider my situation and still charged me a day for rescheduling even with over 24 hours notice. I got a supervisor on the phone and told them that their language saying that "the day before" typically means 24 hours notice. They told me that they needed notice before midnight the day before (i. E. two days). I told them that they were going to loose a customer over this and they replied that it was company policy.
When I booked a flight at Priceline, I was given a selection for a seat. However, the seat was never assigned by the airline. Why does Priceline asks the customer to select seats but never guarantee the seats? Will not book from Priceline anymore.
Booked a hotel through priceline and was given an option to extend my stay another night with priceline. Hotel informed me it was a different room with only a king bed, Original reservation was 2 queens. I was traveling with my wife and two children. Priceline definition of extend is from a different dictionary. Had to pay for an upgrade at hotel. Priceline is a scam!
PRICELINE flight times are deceptive, I call it false advertising, we made a reservation that stated mid day, turns out it was a night flight, no one there at the other end of pick us up, had to cancel it, complete idiots, asked for Supervisor, refused, charged us $15 bucks to cancel, 20 minutes later, my credit card company got it back. Never again, scammers
While I've gotten good deals on airline tickets from Priceline occasionally in the past, the advertising is now completely dishonest. Their promise of a "Maximum layover: 22 hours" may tempt you into taking a risk assuming a small probability that you could get stuck at an airport over night if you're unlucky. However, both of my flights (out and back from Washington DC to Vienna) involved layovers more than 22 hours in Newark, NJ (23 hr 10 minutes out and 22 hr 35 minutes back). This suggests that a long layover is not just a small probability but the standard policy for these tickets. Customer service told me they could make no changes to these flights, and claimed the layovers were slightly less than 22 hours. (Apparently, they count the hours differently for legal purposes.) When I requested to speak with the representatives superior I was put on hold for more than an hour (and still counting).
I'm about to give up on the phone call to customer service and cancel my credit card payment.
The overwhelmingly negative reviews that I now see are accurate. Do not use Priceline for airline tickets unless you want to spend a full day waiting at the airport. The small savings in the ticket price do not cover a night at a hotel room so you waste a day and come out behind financially or sleep in the airport.
The old Priceline is no more. This is a greedy dishonest scam in which they are unloading flights that no one would buy knowingly.
THEY SCAMMED ME OUT OF MY MONEY AND ARE ONLY CREDITING BACK TO ME 1 OF THE CHARGES. THERE WAS A TOTAL OF 4 CHARGES MADE THEY DID NOT CREDIT BACK TO ME. THE CUSTOMER SERVICE REP SPEAKS HORRIBLE ENGLISH AND IV BEEN ON HOLD NOW FOR 2 HOURS. NEVER EVER USING THIS SITE EVER AGAIN
I booked a hotel for 5 nights. When I was going to check in, the hotel (Extended Stay America Miami Dntn Brickell Cruise Port) I was told that my reservation was cancelled. Then I called priceline and they said that they wouldn't give me my money back. So I got no money AND no room.
If I could have chosen zero stars or negative stars, I would have.
My family and I had finally saved up enough to go on our first ever vacation and we chose priceline to book it because we heard about the same price guarantee.
WELL, THEY LIE.
Within minutes of booking the hotel, I found a cheaper price on another website and immediately called pricelibe to inform them. They were very nice and asked me to screen shot the website, the room, and the price including tax and email to them. They would be in touch in a few days. I did exactly as he said, taking snapshots of each detail he asked for and emailed it to him. I never heard back from him.
I called and talked to a woman from from priceline and explained the situation. She was very, very rude to me. She said she saw the snapshots but because they weren't all on the same page (room photos, hotel name, and detailed price), she couldn't help me. I told her I couldn't get them on the same page because the website was not set up that way. I also tried to explain what I had been previously told but she continued to argue with me and talk over me, blaming the phone for poor picture quality. I told her I would try to figure it out and resend it. She then told me that she couldn't stay on the phone while I tried to figure it out. She had other customers to deal with.
I hung up and immediately canceled my reservation with them and booked the room with someone else. I WOULD NOT SUGGEST PRICELINE TO MY WORST ENEMY.
We booked a hotel with Priceline and Booking.com back in January for a trip coming up in 3 days. I went to the website to show my hotel to a friend, and noticed the price had dropped twenty dollars a night! My price had not been updated, so I called customer service. I was on hold for 15 minutes before anyone answered, and then when I asked about this problem, the lady was rude and tried to dismiss my issue. When I insisted that she look, she said she would send me an email and HUNG UP ON ME. I did get the email, which requested that I send a link to the price change- THAT WAS ON THEIR OWN WEBSITE- was informed that nothing could be done because we booked a smoking room and the new room was non-smoking. WE DIDN'T WANT A SMOKING ROOM TO BEGIN WITH. And now to hear that we could stay in a room without a smoke scent, and for cheaper, is infuriating. Of course this happened 2 days after the cancellation window. I will NEVER use Priceline again, and will be sure to warn everyone I know.
I'm disappointed in Priceline. More than disappointed. I used a link a coworker used and it turns out my purchase was non-refundable (hers was refundable). My complaint is they should make it CLEAR by using something like "this is non-refundable, are you sure you want to continue your purchase"? I will NEVER use them again. Had a death in the family and had to cancel a business trip and they claimed it was non-refundable. NEVER, EVER again.
I made a reservation on the 21st of Feb for me to rent the car for the 3rd of March - I called Priceline on the 22nd ( FEB) I tried to cancel due to my plans had changed. I was told that I would not be getting refund. I asked them how I could be charged for a service that I didn't use.
The worst ever! DON"T USE THEM!
Rented car, didn't disclose it was non-refundble. Snowed in w. No power & airport 100 miles south on travel day, was not leaving blacked out house in sub zero temp. Called & canceled flight but priceline would not & charged me for the car I could not rent. Spent over 1 hr. On phone which was waste of time-will be lifelong enemy of priceline,
I booked a ticket from Los Angeles to Vietnam at Priceline, the fight would transit at Canada, I had no idea that I need a transit visa. I couldn't take the flight and had to pay a lot more money to buy another ticket. Called customer service And they said they couldn't do anything. Worst experience
I needed to book a hotel in Duluth Minnesota, and searched for hotels in "Duluth MN", without warning me it instead gave me hotels in Duluth Georgia--the opposite side of the country I'm traveling to. Immediately upon completion of the reservation was when the website informed me that not only was I booked for Duluth GA, I had booked a non-refundable trip. I've heard of friends who have had similar situations and should have listened. This website intentionally misdirects people to incorrect locations and then cons them into purchasing hotels. Not only will I never use Priceline again, I strongly suggest everyone stay far away
Priceline has the worst CS dept! We booked a package deal, airfare and hotel. I called Priceline to check something on my reservation and they tell me, our apologies your hotel did not confirm your reservation but we still have airline tickets? Yes we still have air but No hotel and they were never going to tell me Unreal! Prices have went up significantly since we booked and now we are screwed!. They said our air is not refundable and have no problem giving me back my hotel money but would not reimburse me for the price difference. Since hotels went up. This company is a joke! They do not honor anything they say or email you. I will definitely be disputing all of the charges with my credit card company. I also emailed the executives *******@priceline.com & *******@priceline.com of course that went nowhere. They did not even respond. This company does not care about their customers and I will never use them again and will let as many people know how awful they are.
Here is why using Priceline can cost you $$. I used the site recently for an Express Deal in San Juan. Buried in the fine print apparently it states there could be additional mandatory hotel fees. So if there are two hotels - $150 for one and $200 for the other - there is no way to determine which one will actually cost more - because the fees could be dramatically different. In the end - Priceline is NOT telling you what your final cost will be - meanwhile other hotel websites like Hotels.com and Expedia.com include those mandatory fees in the final price before purchase. It turns out a 2016 lawsuit Singer Vs Priceline ruled on this exact situation in Priceline's favor. Sad. Stick it to the consumer.
Answer: The agreed to price is inclusive. I would look at dollar's website before renting from Priceline. There is no layer of protection from prcln.
Answer: With Price Line you may pay a reduced price. However, you get reduced services. Be prepared for hidden costs from the merchant as their ads on Price Line do not include their entire policy.
Answer: I'm not sure what you mean by "receive" the e-ticket. I've booked numerous times through priceline and other intermediaries, but have never received a ticket. I would suggest that you look at the itinerary that you've received from priceline and look for the Airline Confirmation Number (which may be a sequence of letters and or numbers depending on the airline). Then go to the airline's website and look up your flight itinerary. This process also varies by airline, but there should be some menu such as "My Trips" or other itinerary look up option. The airline should be able to find your itinerary based on your name and confirmation number. If your priceline itinerary contains an e-ticket number, you may be able to use that on the airline's website as well. If the airline has your itinerary, you're good to go. You'll be able to check in and get a boarding pass (electronic or print) 24 hours prior to your flight. If the airline has no record of you, then you've got a problem.
