Many reviews highlight frustrations with non-refundable reservations and uncommunicated changes, leading to feelings of being misled. While some customers appreciated the initial pricing, the subsequent hidden costs and lack of support during disputes overshadowed these positives. They don't even deserve a one star! We just tried to cancel our reservation because we had to cancel our trip to Florida and Priceline said NO! What a scam! Who gets the money... does Priceline keep it or do they give it to the car rental place?!?! Sometimes a discount rate IS NOT worth it! Don't ever use Priceline because they are just con artists!
They gave me a hotel way out of my chosen area and claim thy didn't. Moreover their customer service was so rude despite me literally begging them to change my hotel because I couldn't possibly walk the distance to the hotel they booked me in with my toddler. The agent ended up leaving the chat in the middle of me asking them something. I cannot believe this, I have been a loyal customer but not anymore.
I booked at hotel on 6-14 and received a confirmation number with my card being charged the full amount. Today on 6-26, only 1 week before I leave, Priceline sent an email canceling my reservation saying the hotel was closed due to COVID. I called the hotel directly and was told they have never been open, even when Priceline booked my reservation, and wouldn't be open until the end of July. I had to wait 1 hour and 45 minutes for worthless customer service from Priceline. Never again!
Have had to cancel recent vacation plans due to COVID 19. Every business we dealt with offered full refunds, or vouchers for the flights. Priceline is the only business that did not offer a refund, for a rental car, which we paid for months in advance. They could have had a customer for life, but chose to keep the money. I will never be using this service again.
When my return flight was canceled I contacted Priceline to change my flight. They ended up canceling my departure with the airline and told me that was still on so when I went to the airport to board my plane, the airline told me I didn't have a ticket. Wait time to talk to Priceline was an hour and a half so I missed the flight and had to Uber home. Still waiting for a call back.
Trying to cancel my ticket to New York for COVID-19 related reasons within 24 hours of reservation customer service trying to buy the time until you pass the 24 hours then they will tell you you are not eligible for a refund stay away
2 Months since my flight has been canceled and still no idea when I may be getting a refund or if I am getting one?!?! This is outrageous as it was a 1500 dollar flight. I will never user Priceline again. Trying to save me 20 bucks has cost me 20+ hours on hold with them. Never again.
We made a reservation for a car rental with Budget using Priceline. We were attending a wedding that was canceled due to a covid illness. We were told the rate we booked was nonrefundable for any reason. Unless you are 100 percent sure, I would not use them. Wish I would have read these reviews before I booked.
I bought my tickets two months ago with this "company" and I understand that there have been changes due to the covid19, but personally they told me 3 hours before that my flight had been canceled without any reason, they made me call them to wait in line for more than 30 minutes to get no response. I do not recommend this "travel" page at all, they only make you lose time and money, if I had the option to give 0 stars I would. Simply the worst!
By far some of the worst customer service I've ever experienced. Never again. I've been trying to get in touch with customer service and was told my wait would be an hour and it's been almost 3 hours and have yet to get a call back. Even while I've tried recalling no one is available to take my call. So frustrating.
We had to cancel our trip to Mexico that was scheduled for March because of the Covid-19 pandemic. We started calling March 12th, today is June 15th and we still don't have it resolved.
I have called no less than 20 times. Each time I am placed on hold, they say the contact the hotel but get transferred around and can't get through. They say they will try them again and email us. They say they email the hotel but don't get a response. But a few days pass as we hear nothing from them. When I ask them to escalate the issue, they say they will and that they'll call back but no-one ever does.
I have talked to Supervisors and have gotten no where. All we want is to get at least a partial refund or reschedule.
This has been the worst experience! I will never book a trip through Priceline again!
Had a terrible experience with Priceline. Wasted 300 of my dollars in a pandemic. Just a money hungry company that will use every trick in the world to make a quick buck
This is a good room and the bed is very comfortable,
But i came to my room on my last stay here. They had locked me out. Said I had to call priceline again and make another reservation, thats crazy since I had already paid for the room. Some body needs to get more organized.
I rented a car for my dad and when we got to the car rental place they needed to have his ID and credit card to place a hold on it. This was a problem because my dad did not have a credit card with his updated name. Why the $#*! does it matter whose god damn credit card it is?! I called Priceline and they said they couldn't do anything to help me. Literally hung up on me. I waited 2.5 hours only to have my reservation canceled so someone else in line could get it. Oh and Priceline still charged me for the rental and insurance. Absolutely unbelievable. This is truly NOT a customer first company. $#*! you Priceline.
Beware when booking hotels a a discounted price. The sight showed all the locations being close to where I need to be only to find out I was put up a hour away. Called immediately but they were unwilling to work with me. ( never again)
While both reps were polite, there was zero resolution to my problem due to my reservation time passing WHILE I WAS ON THE PHONE WITH THE REPS AND AFTER WAITING 65 MINUTES ON HOLD.
My mother just passed away and I intended to drive to Florida to take care of business. However, it was brought to my attention around 130 pm that she passed due to COVID-19. I immediately contacted Priceline to cancel my trip. I understand there are long hold times currently, but that should not have impacted the decision by Tim and Diana to not cancel, refund, or even partially reimburse / offer future credit.
Having been a loyal Priceline customer over the past few years, it was frustrating and disheartening to experience the lack of compassion, elevating an already stressful situation. As I did not want to have my apparently non-refundable despite COVID-19 reservation and funds wasted, I picked up my car that I will not even use solely to return it with almost no miles in a week.
This experience has sorely soured my previously positive feelings about Priceline and I am unlikely to use or recommend them again.
I recently book a room for one night through Priceline. I received confirmation and arrived at the hotel. When attempting to check in I was informed Priceline declined my reservation at which point, embarrassed. I then rendered another form of payment, with all that entails. Only to find the next day that Priceline had indeed received their money as well as out pocket on the site. I contacted Priceline because it was their company I had a contract with and they broke it. It became null and void once I paid on site. The csr all lower case because that was the size of her service. She called the hotel on a line without me and couldn't mere the calls, couldn't refund my money, couldn't provide a supervisor, did not attempt to respond to my questions, sit on the phone in silence for 35 minutes and disconnected the call when I attempted to call the hotel on conference call, and all while begin recorded with no absolutely no interest in assisting me. I asked for corporate contact which she completely reused only to do a little research and discover the numbers and contacts are all the same. The ID number she gave me was *******, but with that type of service how would I ever know if it is correct and if reported is her behavior teach/learned. With all the cute commercials I wish no stars were an option. DISGUSTED AND DISAPPOINTED.
Do not use this company! Unless you want to get ripped off! They use deceptive advertising and engage in shady business practices. I tried to book a hotel room for $77 at the Holiday Inn in Sequim, WA. I clicked on the Holiday Inn Express link. It took me to another page with 3 hotel options, I clicked on the Holiday Inn Express link again, it then asked for the dates and took my payment. It wasn't until after they took my payment that I learned that they booked me at the Super 8 in Port Angeles, WA. Not even in the same City. I called their customer service and It took 2 hrs on hold to reach them only to be told they won't issue a refund. So even though I never stayed at the Super 8 (never set foot on the property) they refused to issue any refund whatsoever! They kept all my money even though I never stayed at the Super 8. Their ads are deceptive and the way this company conducts its business should be a crime!
I had a rental car from Priceline purchased with an Express Car Deal. The city I was going to was shut down due to the virus. Every other company just moved my current reservations to my new dates. Priceline said I had to take the coupon and then I could just simply rebook a car. The catch is, it has to be another Express Car Deal on the website. The next great catch... there are NO EXPRESS CAR DEALS ON THEIR SITE! I have emailed and called multiple times to try and get assistance or pointed in the direction of these deals, and all they will say is "oh there are plenty on the site". Then when I asked them to point to one example, or show me a screen shots or any proof, they then say "oh sorry, we can't help you make a reservation". I finally got one rep that said most Car Rental Companies are struggling and a lot of them are considering bankruptcy. Because of that none are doing these deals.
So I am stuck with a coupon for over $400, for an express car rental deal, that expires in a year, on a site that NO LONGER OFFERS EXPRESS CAR RENTAL DEALS! They will not help at all. Will only say "they are on the site, you go find them, we can't help".
SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM! Never use this company. Hotwire was awesome to work with, had 3 different no refund deals with them, and they refunded or moved everyone of them, and they actually helped. Unlike Priceline which once they have your money, are completely useless.
If I could give zero stars I would. Back in April I booked a 5 day rental with Priceline for a trip in June. Because of 19 I had to postpone my trip until later in the year. I talked to a representative at Priceline trying to reschedule. They wouldn't reschedule or even give me a credit. They absolutely refused to help me. It's amazing that even in times like these they would do nothing to help their customers. They don't care about their customers at all. Do not book with Priceline!
Answer: The agreed to price is inclusive. I would look at dollar's website before renting from Priceline. There is no layer of protection from prcln.
Answer: With Price Line you may pay a reduced price. However, you get reduced services. Be prepared for hidden costs from the merchant as their ads on Price Line do not include their entire policy.
Answer: I'm not sure what you mean by "receive" the e-ticket. I've booked numerous times through priceline and other intermediaries, but have never received a ticket. I would suggest that you look at the itinerary that you've received from priceline and look for the Airline Confirmation Number (which may be a sequence of letters and or numbers depending on the airline). Then go to the airline's website and look up your flight itinerary. This process also varies by airline, but there should be some menu such as "My Trips" or other itinerary look up option. The airline should be able to find your itinerary based on your name and confirmation number. If your priceline itinerary contains an e-ticket number, you may be able to use that on the airline's website as well. If the airline has your itinerary, you're good to go. You'll be able to check in and get a boarding pass (electronic or print) 24 hours prior to your flight. If the airline has no record of you, then you've got a problem.
