Many reviews highlight frustrations with non-refundable reservations and uncommunicated changes, leading to feelings of being misled. While some customers appreciated the initial pricing, the subsequent hidden costs and lack of support during disputes overshadowed these positives. A recurring sentiment is a lack of accountability from the company, prompting numerous customers to vow never to use the service again. I have used them twice. First time I thought it wasn't good but hey everyone makes a mistake. Just booked again and they gave me a crummy motel again. DONT USE THEM!
Priceline IS A SCAM i booked a hotel on the site that clearly shows a pool. After i booked i called to make sure my reservation was in and thet the pool would be open, i was informed that this location doesnt have a pool on the website (priceline) it shows a pool. Called priceline the refused to refund me or switch hotels. I explained it showes a pool on the site she says those are just advertisings I said i need a refund or to cxl and be refuned she said we don't refund spoke with a supervisor she said she cant refund me because of a picture. I am LIVID. Never again with them!
I tried booking a last minute 'express deal', and it doesn't show the currency of the prices. I live in Canada and I'm booking a place within Canada, most other websites display in CAD automatically, otherwise they have a big ol' USD right next to prices. Priceline however, did not display the currency until after the hotel was booked. Their customer service took multiple attempts to get through, and when I finally managed to get an agent over chat, they took an exceptionally long time to send me a canned response. I fully understood that the 'contract' was signed and non-refundable, but they have zero interest in hearing our customers. Don't waste your time.
The hotel we booked in our reservation package was not open when we arrived after flying thousands of miles and getting our rental car. It said on the signs outside closed for remodeling. When we called Priceline to switch us to a new hotel they said there was nothing they could do except cancel our reservation and weren't sure how long it would be before we were getting our money returned. They were rude and disinterested in the fact that we did not have enough money to pay for another hotel nor that they had ruined our vacation. We had not been on any type of vacation in almost three years. We asked for a supervisor and were kept on hold for more than 45 minutes. Then told we would eventually get a callback. The supervisor was even more rude and refused to help. I repeatedly asked to speak to someone in the US and she refused to transfer me. She offered to refund our money again to which I responded Fine. What else could I do? I checked in today about our refund and the person I spoke with said they had not even started to process my refund because they said I did not confirm the cancellation. So frustrating! There is nothing I can do with that reservation or hotel, I said fine when they asked about refunding my money and I didn't confirm my cancellation?!? I am not sure if I could be any more upset at this point!
DO NOT USE THEM. They gave me my booking info and confirmation, all in CAD dollars. I booked a hotel, in Canada, & I got charged WAY more bc they made a mistake on their system and it was listed in CAD instead of USD. They refuse to take accountability for this and tried to blame me. After sitting and waiting HOURS trying to work it out, we were unable to do what we had come to that location to do. Our vacation was totally ruined. I will NEVER EVER book with these lying thieves again.
When they say change or cancel within 24 hours is bull. We are essential workers could not be there on day hotel scheduled tried to change to next night. They are extremely rude and we are out the money at a time when it is not affordable. The hotel La Quinta will not Change it either. I will pass this on to everyone we know and they all travel all the time. Now Home2Suites had no issue changing date for me. They will be our go to now.
Booked a trip to Vegas... Exciting right? Got to the airport just to be told that the flight was canceled and Priceline should have notified us. Called them immediately just to be told my wait time to talk to someone was 2 hours and 53 minutes... WHAT? Ended up having to book last minute tickets to fly out that night. Called to verify my flight home for Monday... Guess what canceled! Luckily Alaska Airlines was able to get it rescheduled for me. Never once received any email from Priceline stating the flights were canceled. Spent a good 5 hours of my time trying to get the flights figured out and probably another 8 hours on hold with Priceline trying to get at least some of my money back. Best they could do for letting me waste time and money on their screw up was a refund of 208.00... Are you freaking kidding me? I will never use them again! I've traveled a lot over the years and this was the first time I tried them out. BIG MISTAKE! The customer service was awful, the wait times to talk to anyone are crazy long (which isn't helpful when you're standing in the airport trying to get on a flight that no longer exists), by far the most awful experience I've ever had!
Let me start by saying, I rather use more money elsewhere than trying to use Priceline. Total disappointment, i don't even know where to begin. I'd never seen a customer service worse than Priceline. Even scam website has better has better customer service. Promise of a full refund on their website. After talking to an agent it was 1 day deduction, then no refund was issued, and i was told it's too late. Even though i call them 48 hours ahead. They keep pushing back so they can push you out of the refund time frame. If you don't want to write your own disappointment Stay away.
They post wrong input about the hotels just to get you to book the room and in the small prints add they expect you to call the hotel to verify the input. Worst service ever.
In addition, I just found out they sell a $49/night motel in $89 with a lot of nice words. Total RIPOFF! Never gonna book with this guys again and hope no one else will.
I hadn't used PriceLine in quite a while due to a bad experience before. I thought why not, let's give them a try.
Well, big mistake. They have absolutely no customer service. I paid for extra trip protection insurance. This was a joke. I tried to contact PriceLine for 2 weeks. I texted, I chatted, I called. I finally had to call the airlines directly. I was helped within 15 minutes by both American Airlines and United Airlines. This is on you priceline. Never again.
Scheduled a flight for 3 passengers. Canceled one ticket within 24 hour free cancellation window. Was charged $15 to cancel one ticketwhy do they say it is free?
Called airline 3 days before my flight to verify flight status. Was told flight was cancelled. Never received any notification from Priceline! Called Priceline and asked to verify flight statuswas put on hold, guy came back & said flight was still on! I told him I called the airline & the flight was canceled, he put me on hold again & came back & said flight was good. I explained again I had just talked to airline & flight was cancelled then after a pause & checking, he said flight had been cancelled. Literally flight was in 3 days, no notification of anything! They didn't even know! I do not understand the lack of information!
I asked for a refund & was placed on hold & said they would check on it. After one hour on the phone was told I would probably get a refund. Called the next day to make sure everything was indeed being processed, after one hour again was told I would get a refund. Also you have to call them and leave a message with your number to get a call back. Both days did get a call back after one hour.
I did get a refund one week later even though they said it would be 24 hours. I will not use them in the future! Way too scary!
If your having to book a flight with Priceline READ THE FINE PRINT very carefully!
They will not help you with your tickets for your flight.
They send you to the airlines you flight is with, but they will NOT REFUND YOUR MONEY.
I don't plan to use them ever again.
As far as I'm concerned
They don't care if coronvirus is out there.
They just want your $.
If you decide to reserve a rental through priceline do not get their insurance. It doesn't even count for when you actually pick up your rental. I requested a refund for none use and they refused. Dont get the insurance through them!
ALERT*****Whatever you do, do not book a trip through Priceline. I have had over 100 yes, over 100 phone calls in ONE DAY from scammers, robocalls from companies they have sold my phone number to.
I went to their website to request that my information NOT be sold and when you put in that you live in OKLAHOMA a red notification comes up that Oklahoma doesn't have a law that prevents our information being sold.
I also have a $50.00 charge on my debit card for a travel magazine that I did not purchase. I have had to report fraud on my debit card and have it cancelled and now I have to wait for a new one. Good times! I love that because you use a service that they can just do whatever they want with the information you provide and you get to deal with all of the garbage.
I paid Priceline for a rental car and when I got there I was told I needed to pay another 200 dollars I said I paid on line I was told that I paid Priceline not the same car rental I told them I would just cancel it and Priceline changed me 100 to refund my money because I was never told I had to pay twice
I booked my rental car via Priceline 7 months in advance. I got an email from Priceline 4 days in advance saying that THEY canceled my reservation and suggested I rebook with them. When I tried, I discovered that the price went up $387. When I called (With a wait time of nearly 2 hours), they said the price was higher because it was just 4 days before my trip. No kidding! That is why I booked 7 months ahead! They offered me no credit, no voucher, no apology. This company obviously does not value their customers. They have one less now.
Hello everyone i just Wanted to tell my experience because after this encounter i Will never view hotels the same. I checked In to the hotel on a Saturday night. Unpacked and showered and left out with a friend. Came back to find my key didn't work. Went to the front desk. They did the worse thing a hotel could do they double booked. Which means they gave a stranger access to all my belongings. And the people took everything that was valuable. The police was called. The young lady that worked for the hotel would not call the manger during all this. I was Then put in a room and was not even notified when the manger arrived. I was Up a total of 23hours with no solution. Spoke to the manger by tracking down. She never contact me which was strange since all this happened at her hotel. I Told her everything she give me a one night stay for free and told me she would contact me in two business days about my belongings. She never did i reached out to corporate. Priceline gave me a refund. It is in my profile as a canceled trip. The solution was just to replace my stuff and do nothing about the inconvenience so think twice i would Never book with them again.
I booked a hotel through Priceline back in January and subsequently have had to cancel due to COVID-19. For the past two months I have been on the phone with Priceline trying to get a refund for the hotel but have only been given a runaround each time as to why they couldn't process one. I called the hotel chain to find out that the hotel I was booked in was closed due to the pandemic! Priceline gave me the excuse that they couldn't process a refund or modify the reservation because they needed to contact the hotel for approval. DO NOT USE PRICELINE. Book directly and save the hassle.
I purchased 2 round trip flights with priceline for United Airlines to Chicago. Due to the Pandemic the flight was cancelled. Now they gave me a credit for another flight up to February 2021 and now they say there is not any credit. They refuse to give me my $400.00 money back and want me to purchase tickets again.
I made a reservation, payed with a debit card. Then when I got to the place they don't accept debit cards. They only accept credit cards. I called Priceline just to be put on a "14min" min hold that ended up taking over 4 hours! Then because of their lack of customer service I had to pay almost $100 to get to my destinations. It's crazy because my white friends didn't have this issue with price line, but when I spoke to the customer service rep, they rudely informed me they can't help me till they speak to the rental office, which would have been a simple thing, but the place is closed for the day. Then they told me to wait 10 Bussinness days to Solve the issue. I need the car for my birthday! And with out even let me talk to to a manger for which I requested. They closed the chat on me! I feel attacked and I completely feel like I was given a horrible service because of my ethnicity. This is unacceptable!
Answer: The agreed to price is inclusive. I would look at dollar's website before renting from Priceline. There is no layer of protection from prcln.
Answer: With Price Line you may pay a reduced price. However, you get reduced services. Be prepared for hidden costs from the merchant as their ads on Price Line do not include their entire policy.
Answer: I'm not sure what you mean by "receive" the e-ticket. I've booked numerous times through priceline and other intermediaries, but have never received a ticket. I would suggest that you look at the itinerary that you've received from priceline and look for the Airline Confirmation Number (which may be a sequence of letters and or numbers depending on the airline). Then go to the airline's website and look up your flight itinerary. This process also varies by airline, but there should be some menu such as "My Trips" or other itinerary look up option. The airline should be able to find your itinerary based on your name and confirmation number. If your priceline itinerary contains an e-ticket number, you may be able to use that on the airline's website as well. If the airline has your itinerary, you're good to go. You'll be able to check in and get a boarding pass (electronic or print) 24 hours prior to your flight. If the airline has no record of you, then you've got a problem.
