I had booked my reservation for the hotel and flight two months in advanced from my vacation. I had no problem checking in my flight but when I arrived to the hotel in Cancun, the people from check in were unable to find my reservation but were able to find two of my family members that also booked with Priceline. I clearly had the hotel confirmation number and my itinerary were I have paid the full amount but the hotel I was staying in was Paradisus all inclusive hotel and they told me Priceline did not send over the reservation and that I had to contact them to get all this sorted out. 7 hours later in the hotel lobby Priceline was not about to fix anything and told me to call tomorrow morning that there reservation department would be open at 9:00am. In distress and tired I had to pay 800 dollars out of my pocket in order to stay the night in the hotel. The following morning the first thing I do was contact Priceline and again they were unable to fix the problem. The only thing they could do was refund me the money for the hotel. I had wasted a day in a half and I had to pay out of pocket in order for me to stay in that hotel. Something that was spoused to be one of the best experience became a nightmare. I will never book with Priceline and will tell others about my experience with them.

I booked a trip to Vegas a few months ago and had to cancel it due to a medical emergency backed up by a doctor's note faxed directly to Priceline. Upon cancelling the trip, I was told that the value of my airfare could be used on any future (within a year) Priceline booking. Because I'd originally booked with Priceline. Makes sense right? Well apparently, as outlined in the followup email they sent me (but NOT in the phone call!) I can only use that credit on VIRGIN flights because my original trip had been Virgin flights.

Now, Priceline holds that credit, Virgin has nothing to do with it and doesn't care where I use the credit, but because of Priceline's STUPID "policy" they will only let me use the credit for Virgin flights! This is a HUGE ISSUE because Virgin only flies to like ten cities, NOT including Houston which is the only place I plan to go in the next year! And nobody will fix it!

Not to mention ALL of the representatives say "there's nothing that can be done" and when asked to speak to a higher supervisor they just say the only thing I can do is WRITE A LETTER to their customer service mailing address. THAT WILL TAKE FOREVER!

AND one of the representatives I talked to hung up on me, and another was EXTREMELY snotty, kept interrupting me and talked down to me like I was stupid when I've spent about FIVE hours on the damn phone about this issue. I WILL NOT drop it.

PRICELINE CAN NOT BE TRUSTED. DO NOT BOOK USING PRICELINE.COM. THEY WILL FIND A WAY TO SCREW YOU OUT OF YOUR MONEY.

I made a Priceline car rental booking for April 27,2021. Priceline made the booking through Economy Car Rental aka Paradise Car Rental at SXM on Sint Maartin. When I arrived at the company, AJ stated that there was no booking, even though I had in hand a guaranteed booking, there was no vehicle available, and AJ would not provide any assistance to locate another vehicle. Contacting Priceline was of no assistance with Duke at Priceline stating that there was nothing he could do and that there was no compensation available. VERY DISPLEASED with Priceline's lack of any assistance, customer service, or compensation.

I booked a vacation, with my mother in law, to San Antonio to see my husbands Air Force graduation. We bought EVERYTHING through them. Hotel, flight, rental car... and we also purchased insurance on everything. Before I even attempted to purchase the package, I talked to 2 different customer service reps, asking exactly what the insurance entailed. I explained that I needed a package that could change because the military has no guarantees. His graduation was liable to change at any moment. Of course, the reps told me that as long as I bought the insurance, I could cjange my package, or get a refund. Low and behold, a few days ago, I get a call from my husband saying, I've broken my leg, they have me in medical hold... im not graduating. So, I got ahold of Priceline's customer service and explained why I needed to get a refund. Yano what they told me? I'm sorry, that's not part of our policy. We MIGHT be able to give you a refund for the car, and possibly the hotel, but irs unlikely. So... I'm out $1500 for this trip, and I won't even get to use it. And they won't help me out at all. So what is the insurance for?!?! Absolutely nothing, except for making them money. I will NEVER use their services again. And I WILL be suing them. 2 reps lied to me about my package and being able to change it, they took my money and I'm not even using their services. I'm disgusted. This wasn't a vacation. This was a family going to a US AIRMAN'S GRADUATION!

Name Your own Price
January 18, 2016

I will not recommend my worse enemy to use Priceline. I was purchasing a ticket for my bachelor party in Las Vegas. The dates that I put in were a Wednesday March 16th and to return Sunday March 20th. I entered in the name your own price, the dollar amount I entered was not accepted. It suggested that I change my arrival time to be more flexible. The arrival time would have me leave as early as 5 am the morning of March 20th, and return as late as 2am on Monday the 21st. The next screen says price has been accepted, but the flight has me returning on Tuesday morning the 22nd, 2 days after what I entered. Because you use the tool it makes you purchase the ticket without review. The issue I have is it is misleading to put in dates and then the tool to completely disregard it. I called customer service and the 2 representatives I spoke to did not listen to the issue I had, they read a script to me. Their was no dialogue it was me ask a question, followed by a script that did not relate to anything. The next day I receive an email stating that they are making a one time exception to let me cancel my flight for a $200 fee. So an error on their end will cost me $200? That makes no sense. This is a complete scam and I think others should know this.

I had used Priceline for over 50 bookings and was pleased. Since I traveled on business and pleasure and just need a clean room without bugs is all I cared about. I would use the two star rating. I now have been told I was lucky because when I got to Florida around Disney, Celebration Suites was there name your own price. They told me although I paid in full I now owed another 25% above what priceline had taken, or I could not have the room. They called it is a resort fee, and let me tell you this motel, not a chain hotel, was as far from a resort as you can get. Economy lodge would be a resort if they were. It is a 1/2 star and when I complained to priceline, their customer service in the Philippines just read from a sheet, then the supervisor read from a them same sheet. They never varied and there was no one above them. When I wrote to priceline corporate they never responded. I will never book through them again. The hotel was so bad they gave me back one night because they never cleaned the room after I complained the day before they left half the towels and no soaps, and left all the dirty towels on the floor. The toilet plunger was a nice touch, since I normally do not need to use one at home but I did here. The free internet with my own laptop was so far away from the room that I did not need to use the gym because of the walk. In fact ice for the room, fitness center etc., was a hike for all. Priceline says you will get a quality like these hotels for a two star that I knew, so I was confident. The factor that you are just a number with them and no service after they get your money is the reason I will never use them again. Beware!

I understand that I was the one who made an error by clicking submit, but I cannot believe how poorly my situation was handled from a customer service point of view. As a first time user, I was learning the lay of the land and was not totally prepared/ready. I clicked "submit" before I was really ready to click "submit." Priceline selected a hotel that was literally just inside the parameters of where I wanted to stay (aka relatively far away from the main area), and with all of the fees Priceline charges, it ended up being more per night using Priceline than if I had booked directly though the hotel where I could have chosen to cancel. However, none of that is the point. I hit submit before I was ready to, and therefore, did not mean to commit to staying at a hotel. I called customer service immediately, and was blatantly told it did not matter and that my credit card was automatically charged and I was in an irreversible position. At best, they suggested I called the hotel to see if they would agree to let me cancel the request. When I called the hotel, they said they were not allowed to do this because I booked it through a third party. Basically, I feel like the representative from Priceline did not want to discuss it withe me further so sent me on a wild goose hunt to the hotel. I was on the phone for approximately 45 minutes, and found no way to work to an agreement. I understand that it says all sales final or whatever the phrase they use to lock you in is, but it seems to me a good company would stand behind their product and provide you with a refund in the event an error occurs. This was my first and last time using Priceline, and while some people may find success with it, I have found it not worth my time or money to try to get a deal. I am highly disappointed, and plan to share my experience with many people so they can avoid the same thing from happening to them.

DO NOT USE PRICELINE!
December 5, 2015

Priceline has scams within their system... I used this site about 10 times while on medical emergency travel. I was at Seatac Airport, went to "hotels" and pressed "use my current location" - Seatac Airport came up; so far so good. I requested a hotel in this area and a number of good deals popped up. BUT - in the middle of all these hotels was an option for "Express Deal" saving 60% off - so i clicked on it and clicked on the 3.5 star hotels and Priceline says they will pick the hotel. THEY PICKED A HOTEL IN THE SEATTLE AREA, NOT SEATAC, a $55 cab drive each way... no shuttle service of course since it was so far away from the airport. I contacted Priceline and their "customer service" said 'you accepted our terms when you used this site" and would not help. I asked them to contact the hotel and transfer the reservation to the exact same hotel next to the airport (the Crown Plaza) and they said "we can't do that; express deals are non-negotiable" Many more stories on all of my ten reservations - always the same from Customer Service... "sorry, can't help you" Horrible site.

I made a reservation on 7/12/2022 for a trip on August 18th 2022 and was given charge of $570.39 for a 3 night stay at $159 per night using the "pay with Affirm" product. Once I clicked submit I realized that I had not entered the discount code which was provided to me by the hotel staff. I immediately phone Priceline and asked that the reservation be cancelled so that I could enter the discount code which would save me $20 a night x3 ( so my total cost for the 3 day stay would be $471.79), The Priceline representative informed me that I would need to call the 3rd Party "Affirm" and ask them to cancel the transaction, so I did, when I contacted the "Affirm" agent they stated that the transaction was still pending on the Priceline side and that I need to have them release the transaction so that they could cancel it. So I called Priceline back and informed that that the "Affirm" representative told me that Priceline needed to release the transaction At this I was informed that there was nothing they could do. I said then what about the 200% refund if I find a better price. I gave her the discount code, and she stated that she could not enter the discount code on Pricelines' web site to confirm the rate I was given for $139. Per night (*Here lies the problem- me either) So consequently they would not give one of their so called VIP members any help in resolving the error.

I'm so disgusted with this company and will never used them to book anything ever again!

Would appreciate a refund of Total Trip Cost: $1075. 20 after calling to canceling (Itinerary# 140-608-034-38) (for a Disabled Veteran in severe pain) June 21,2018 because the flight was delayed over 2.5 hours to visit a dying family member. The only alternative would be to arrive in Monterey CA at 12 midnight and the car rental company would be closed at 10pm. This would leave my husband suffering with ongoing severe pain stranded at the airport with no transportation.
I called Priceline *******774; right after finding out that the flight was delayed, to cancel this Priceline Trip which included - United and Budget Car Rental. Personally, also canceling these companies individual reservations.
Priceline got extra $ refund from United Airlines 6/26/29 for 209.60 USD - FOR A CANCELED FLIGHT! And kept $ 1075. 20 of our money for a trip that was never used.
Priceline is a disgrace to our beloved United State military disable veterans, monetarily taking advantage of disabled, pain ridden, Special Forces Veterans. How can you correct this?

I rather give -5 stars if system allowed.

Priceline booking system is not reliable, and when they found it was their mistakes, they are very good at transferring their responsibilities to others or just disconnecting the call.

I booked two Delta flight tickets with seats selected in main cabin (my husband has claustrophobia so he must sit on the aisle seats) on 11/19/2021, and got conformation email on the same day, and credit card was also charged on the same day. 10 days after the reservation (one and a half days before our departure), I logged in Delta website but found that there is no any seats booked in all our four flights. Yes, Priceline DID NOT book any seats for any of our flights. I was in a hurry to reserved the seats, and contacted Priceline to question about this big mistake they've made. An agent name Ian told me that it because the airline doesn't allow priceline to choose seats (latterly I called delta and confirmed that it is not the case. Delta accepts seat booking from third party website.). I then contacted Priceline again, and waited for over an hour to reach their escalating team, a representative named Avery, she then told me that in Priceline, also includes all other third party agencies, all flight bookings are not guaranteed for seat selecting. I asked her to email me this Priceline rule but she said they don't have written documents for it. When I questioned her why there is no email to inform me the seats were not booked, she didn't have any answer. When I questioned her about this discrepancy, she disconnected the phone line.

I have used lots of thirty party website to book flights for several years and every time I got the seat I selected when booking except this time through Priceline. Be aware, your booking through Priceline does not guarantee the seat you selected, and you will be disconnected when you push for answers.

Will never ever use Priceline again.
