Scheduled a flight for 3 passengers. Canceled one ticket within 24 hour free cancellation window. Was charged $15 to cancel one ticketwhy do they say it is free?
Called airline 3 days before my flight to verify flight status. Was told flight was cancelled. Never received any notification from Priceline! Called Priceline and asked to verify flight statuswas put on hold, guy came back & said flight was still on! I told him I called the airline & the flight was canceled, he put me on hold again & came back & said flight was good. I explained again I had just talked to airline & flight was cancelled then after a pause & checking, he said flight had been cancelled. Literally flight was in 3 days, no notification of anything! They didn't even know! I do not understand the lack of information!
I asked for a refund & was placed on hold & said they would check on it. After one hour on the phone was told I would probably get a refund. Called the next day to make sure everything was indeed being processed, after one hour again was told I would get a refund. Also you have to call them and leave a message with your number to get a call back. Both days did get a call back after one hour.
I did get a refund one week later even though they said it would be 24 hours. I will not use them in the future! Way too scary!
Terrible people, all about making money on you. You make a wrong move- they screw you big time in every way possible.
Stay away at any cost!
I was booking a flight and hotel package for 6 people. I had everything picked out and the trip came out to over $4,000. I had the money ready in my checking and was purchasing with a debit card. Ya know price line- money directly to you. Well it declined. So I went to call my bank, but before I did I noticed there were two charges for over $1000. SO $2000 gone out of my account and no trip booked. I called Priceline ASAP. The first woman I spoke with (who spoke broken English) said that there was nothing they could do and that I needed to talk with my bank- I asked to speak to someone else. She then transferred me to someone who said this happened because I used my debit card. I am sorry- why do you offer the option of purchase for a debit card then... She then transferred me to her supervisor -oh wait, still on hold to talk to this person after 28 MINUTES. Sounds like they really care about their clients. Looks like I will be taking my $4,000 vacation elsewhere. Sorry Priceline but you are god awful. DO NOT BOOK WITH THEM IT IS THE SKETCHIEST COMPANY I HAVE DONE WORK WITH.
I'm so disappointed about a ticket sold by priceline for a flight leaving Montego bay Jamaica to Philadelphia on Air Canada. Bought the 2 ways tickets, and on the day scheduled to fly was informed by attendant, at the airport, I need to have a Canadian visa To board. If This was something with stipulations, why wasn't a disclaimer there? Try on numerous occasion to speak to someone and they kept giving me a run around or cutting me off how would I have know that this flight would require a Canadian visa if there's no notice to prevent the purchase. Air Canada and priceline is together in scamming people of the team money. They are telling me I can not get a flight exchange or my money back. And the Rude ASSOCIATE That HANDLED On Of The Call Kept Laughing As If it's funny. Telling me there's nothing we can do from our end. Really I want others to be aware of this scam between Priceline and air canada. The attendant at airport say daily people come and get sent home because they bought the same ticket connecting flight through air Canada from priceline. Can someone tell me what can be done to get some form of justice.
Do not go to Priceline if you are not set in stone about your trip. They will withhold your money and you will beg to get it back. Or not even at all. I had to cancel my reservation after having to change the date. This was plenty of time in advance, about a month away. I had to file a dispute with my bank and after receiving the money back. Priceline made it a point to deny my claim and withdraw the full amount of my hotel 2 months later - $137 and I didn't even get to stay at the hotel! That is so ridiculous that they came to bite me in the $#*! two months later. Is your company that desperate to rip out the funds of someone who didn't even get to fulfill their services? I'm disgusted! They also deduct the money right away, unlike other sites, such as Bookings.com, which charges you 24 hours before your stay, which is fair in that case. Priceline doesn't waste one minute to withdraw the funds, they are on it! They hit me with the policy excuse that I cannot get my refund back and that I should've read the fine print at check-out. I get that. But, mistakes and circumstances happen and you have to have an EXTREME reason as to why you are deserving of your money back. I have never seen anything like that. Absolutely ridiculous- the first and last experience I WILL ever have with Priceline. Management and customer service reps are all mouth-pieces of the company and the whole phone call will be a robotic-based response about their cut-and-dry policy. No human touch or empathy. I've never had this experience anywhere else. I will just stick to Bookings.com. This company will NEVER receive my business and should HIGHLY consider restructuring the customer service experience instead of having an immediate resort to holding the customer's money "hostage" for good. I usually go out of my way to leave great reviews to companies who deserve that recognition, but this negative experience needed to be shared so you can know what to frown upon when your expectations are not met with Priceline.
I would give a Negative score if I could. I booked a vacation package through Priceline and ended up cancelling because I ended up getting a different room from what I selected, through Priceline. I only found this out because I called the resort to confirm which room I was assigned, and if I wanted the "upgraded" room i selected through Priceline I would have to pay more. So when I called Priceline about the room discrepancy, I was inform they have no direct decision in that regards. If that's the case, WHY would there a an option to SELECT a room and higher prices for the upgrade if Priceline DOES NOT have a decision in room selection? Anyways, I had to cancel the package and it's have been a horrible experience trying to get a FULL refund, as Priceline only thus far have issued partial refunds. I had to call the airlines and travel insurance agency directly to confirm the cancellation. All of the agency have either cancelled or void my transaction but Priceline still have not issue me a FULL refund yet. They're only good at re-directing me to the other agencies as they have no involvement in it... This is total trash and I will never book anything through Priceline again!
I had a trip planned to JAX Florida and received an email from the airline indicating that due to Ian, would more than likely not be able to fly out and that we could adjust our travel plans without a fee. Long story short, they would not refund the money for the Car Rental or the return flight. On the first flight, they did give credit. Two men, John and Jay couldn't speak much English and I asked to speak to a supervisor and they wouldn't transfer. Denise was good she was patient and she is the one who gave the credit on the first flight. I did escalate it to a supervisor and she did transfer to a supervisor, Angel was able to get the rental car fee taken care of, she had to transfer me to another department to try and take care of the flight with American Airlines, and I spoke to M Julia MI she was no help. It didn't matter from the email from American Airlines. Now I have to see if American Airlines will work. I would NEVER recommend Price Line, they take up valuable time and still want to steal from you! Stay clear!
Rented a car thru Priceline. Had to change my travel dates. They would not change it... lost all my money for an 8 day rental... beware!
Casa Faena advertised as a 4 star hotel when no pool, no fitness center, old smelly elevators, old carpets, cheap towels. When called costumer service they told me hotel rate by prior costumers as good but hotel is old, no amenities available, cheap towels, bad service, smelly, overpriced parking, overall not a 4 star hotel, more like a 2 star hotel. I talked to two supervisors Luis and a woman afterward. When I told her about the stars she told me is related to costumer reviews, so I asked her if we all rate motel 6 as awesome review then motel will be 5stqrs? Obviously she had no answer. I think I was overcharged, thought coming to a 4 star hotel and clearly not the case. I was in faena hotel before, which is 4 star and ended in casa faena or hotel claridge as I was charged on my credit card.
I am a doctor and I work every other week and travel twice A month to 4-5 stars hotel for pleasure. This is not a 4 star hotel, and is false advertisement to put it in Priceline as a 4star hotel when you have so many bad reviews which are the reality of the hotel.
I am the first to say that I am not a fan of writing reviews, I usually find they do more harm then good. I could not resist writing one for Priceline. They are rude and obnoxious people to try and have a conversation with. They were awful to me on the phone and kept telling me they could not help me and that I had to call a different number to be connected to Piya or something, I don't know if this is a person or not but all it was was a recording and I needed to speek to someone asap as my finance was standing in line at the airport and I had no time to "leave a message" I booked a flight through Priceline, they sent me an email confirmation. I thought everything was ok until I happen to go to my mail and double check everything. It wasn't until I hit "check full itinerary" that I saw the transaction was cancelled because of fradulant charges. I was the cardholder and nothing about the transaction was illegal. I had my phone number and everything and no one contacted me. I had to switch flights last min through Delta (very happy with their service) without going into every detail, just take my advice... do not use priceline... awful!
I used priceline because I was going to Thialand it though it would be easier to use them instead of going directly thru hotel in foreign country. The reservation was basically the same price either way, so I was not saving any money by using them. My first issue was I need to change the dates of my reservation, priceline had stated the cancellation policy, which I undertood but had no information about the change policy. When I inquired with pricline they said there was no information because changes were not possible. They balmed this on the hotel. I decided to go thru with my original reservation, but inquired at the hotel as to their change policy. They stated that It would be no problem changing my reservation if I had booked directly thru them, but priceline would not allow any changes. My second issue came when it was time to checkout. Priceline had not paid the hotel for my room even thought I had been billed by Priceline the month before. So, I had had to pay the hotel too, before departing. I am currently working with Priceline resolve this matter. I am an experienced business traveler who will never use priceline again.
People! If you have had problem with Priceline-like 9 out of 10 people here have this is what you need to do: POST IT EVERYWHERE! On your Facebook page, on twitter and on here too. Tell everyone you know and tell them to share your story. They do not care about their customers and practice deceptive advertising. Every time you share your story here or on your own page, ALL of your friends and all of THEIR friends can see it. It is called "reach" and once enough people understand how Priceline rips people off they will begin to feel it where it counts- in their bottom line. There are 225,000 people who "liked" their page. Posts can show up on their news-feed. We need to spread the word. We personally spent over $10,000 on business travel this year so far for our employees. Priceline is fine with saying F. U. to us over $350 for misleading and deceptive information. They just don't give a &^% about their customers. They count on the fact that many people who use them are just occasional travelers. They think they are "too big to fail". Only when they understand the value of their customers and repeat business will they change their lying and deceptive ways. That or a class action lawsuit. Make your voice be heard! TELL EVERYONE your experience. Our recent experience was with a name your price hotel. The hotel booked was in a different city than selected. 12 miles away from the area we chose. Their response was F-U all the way. They lost a customer who spends a lot of money on travel every year over $350! They truly do not care one bit about their customers or providing customer service. The world needs to know.
PRICELINE IS A JOKE if i could give no stars i would of.
PRICELINE IS A JOKE! Customer service reps are stupid- sent out 2 emails stating i have unused credit for my wife and myself- call to book a flight only to say my credit doesnt exist- put on a manager and he was just as dumb- they stole 300$ from me and just think its okay to laugh on the phone and "act" like theyre trying to help you continueoeusly putting you on hold to tell you 3 different dates on when i should of used my credit when my email said 11/19/22 - manager said sept 30 /representative said aug 23 - email says 11/19/22 DONT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH SUCH A S H I T COMPANY - i have alot of patience but when it comes to my hard earned money there is no excuse for idiotic behavior and systems that doesnt even secure youll get your money back in the end- ATTACHED emails as well - i aint dumb to send out these emails to say another on the phone-
So i originally booked a room at the salt lakecity Radisson upon Arrival the clerk said he be was booked and had No rooms, so it was a freaking process & joke to get my room canceled & refunded, so and hour later I booked a room AT THE Ramada up arrival the clerk said it was declined so another process to have priceline make there card go through! My card was fine it was pricelines payment to the hotel declined & attitude from the clerk making me feel it wasy fault and I didn't have money to pay for my room, So the whole night took 3 hours 15 min driving wasting gas to another hotel, waste of time waste of gas & attitude from a clerk so yes my experience was quite unpleasant! & All I get is@ 10% discount, slap n the face for the night I had to endure all because of pricline mistake!
I booked a car through Priceline. The car rental company was Europcar. The car was to be picked up at Manchester airport England. I booked this car for three days and included the extra liability insurance at an extra $33. When I went to pick the car up Europe car said I had to pay for their Liability fee which was nearly as much as the whole car rental. When I produced my documents as proof from Priceline Europe car told me that Priceline liability warrant was VOID. I had to pay an extra liability cost of £79 if they were to release the car. Oh and Europcar do not accept cash so I had to wait 2 hours for money to be transferred onto my card In order to make the booking together with a £250 deposit.
When I got back to America I called Priceline and had a 3 way call with Priceline and Europcar. Europcar told the Priceline agent, "WE DO NOT ACCEPT YOUR LIABILITY COVER." The Priceline woman didn't even know this wasn't accepted. For a company that's said it's here for customers they are not only misleading they don't care at all at the stress of a person being stranded due to a illegal information / cover they have on the website with Europcar. All Priceline offered me was my $33 liability cover I paid upfront with them. Had I known the liability cover was going to be £79 which was the same cost of the car rental I would of gone with another company. I strongly suggest people think again about booking with this company. They are useless and the cover they offer with Europcar isn't covered. I'm still waiting for a supervisor to call me back to date.
When I went to pick up my rental car at the airport I was told they had over booked and they didn't have a car for me. So at 10pm I was looking for a car to rent. They were very rube and didn't care that I was stranded at the airport. DO NOT BOOK A CAR WITH THEM YOU WILL BE SORRY. I ENDEND UP PAYING 80.00 DALLORS MORE THAN I HAD PLANNED. THANKS PRICELINE MESSING WITH MY PLANS.
If I could give 0 stars I would. DO NOT USE PRICELINE EVER! I booked a flight for myself and my husband in May (2 months before) and received a confirmation email. 24 hours before my flight I signed in to the confirmation email to check in and there was no reservation! After spending 2 hours on the phone with them and the airline company, the outcome was that the airline company said priceline cancelled our reservation and it was "purged" from the system (hard deleted) and didn't send us a message about this or notify us in any way. We were under the impression for 2 months that we had a flight and then the day before nothing existed and no record of it anywhere. This led to a domino effect of internal flights, hotels, rental cars, all being cancelled or not being refundable. All they could say is "sorry ma'am" and that's it! Worst experience ever. Also we asked if this happened before and they said "I've seen this 2 times in 2 years" So it was our bad luck, but if it happened before it will eventually happen again! DO NOT USE PRICELINE EVER!
As a frequent traveler I want to let others know about Priceline's Misleading Advertised Room Price Scam.
Please, never go by their advertised ROOM PRICE whether on an Express Deal or a regular booking. They charge an exorbitant pure profit fee in their Taxes & Fees which is NOT EXPLAINED, but just a Ghost Fee which usually makes their price MORE EXPENSIVE than competitor sites. I have seen it over & over again. How much is it? I just measured it. The DEN Airport Hotel Deal was $73, TAX was 15.75% or $11.50; Priceline CHARGED an ADDITIONAL $10.48 in an Un-itemized FEE listed in taxes & fees bringing the total to $94.98...
So please know you are paying Priceline a mysterious $10.48 FEE (or another 14.36% more than the room cost), & in addition to the 15.75% tax...so their $73 room cost over 30% more. Not VERY TRANSPARENT & their competitors don't charge this EXTRA FEE.
Even though a rival site may be slightly higher w/ their quoted room price their actual TOTAL COULD BE LOWER.
Apparently, PRICELINE thinks we are stupid?
Now you know, shop the bottom-line price not the Room Price, before falling for this scam!
If I could give Priceline a rating of 0, I would. While on the phone with customer service, I can barely understand what they are saying. During my phone call with them, I was transferred to 3 different operators, all who when they spoke, I could barely understand. I originally booked flights & had to cancel & was given a travel credit, which was fine. They charge a $200 per ticket to cancel. They also charge $30 processing fee per ticket, which is also fine with me. I went online to search for new flights & called them to use my credit & rebook new flights, & all of a sudden, they tell me the flights have DOUBLED in price because the prices fluctuate. Meanwhile, I am staring at the computer screen & the price DID NOT change. The operator "Dexter" probably not even his real name. Went on to say that because I am rebooking the flight & using my travel credit & limited seats is why the price is so high. I told him how I was still getting the quote for half the price he was actually giving me & he told me that it was the price for new reservations only. Well, I am rebooking the flight. It technically is a new reservation. I went on to say that it would be a lot less money if I went ahead and just booked an entire new flight without the travel credit & rebooking fee & have it be so much cheaper, & he said, YOU MIGHT AS WELL DO IT & decided to no longer help me & asked if I wanted to speak to his supervisor & put me on hold for what seemed like an eternity. That was my first & last time booking anything with Priceline.
Relying on previous experience with Priceline's 24 hour cancellation policy, I decided to try and save $20 by booking an express deal. It appeared I had to book it to see what time it departed. I ended up with a booking to go see my dying father-in-law at a time of day that would have required my husband to take an extra vacation day. And all customer service could say on the first call was, "I'm sorry, you've booked a non-refundable flight". I'm glad they record their conversations so IF anyone CARES they will hear how utterly disgusted I am with how unclear the web process is about this, and the deep certainty in my voice when I told them this experience means I will NEVER use Priceline again.
Shortly there was a message to call them back... so I did. After being shamed for not knowing that express deals were nonrefundable, I was finally allowed to cancel the booking for a $15 fee. Which I did. Okay, customer "service" there was probably something in small print somewhere so you're *legally* correct, I'm sure. But I got no points for not flying frequently and not immediately knowing these things. The rep was so short with me and implied I was the problem for being upset (apparently I interrupted her while she was trying to charge me $15 to "help" me), that I actually went back to the website to see if my distress over my father-in-law's illness had led me to miss something obvious. NOT! I've attached a couple screenshots of the type of deal that led me to my unfortunate nonrefundable experience. Even if you scroll down the page, there is NOTHING about what you are clicking toward being non-refundable. This is FAR from consumer-friendly. Priceline, I will now never forget that express deals are nonrefundable- but it doesn't matter since I won't be booking with you again.
Is it better to be right or have a repeat customer?
Answer: The agreed to price is inclusive. I would look at dollar's website before renting from Priceline. There is no layer of protection from prcln.
Answer: With Price Line you may pay a reduced price. However, you get reduced services. Be prepared for hidden costs from the merchant as their ads on Price Line do not include their entire policy.
Answer: I'm not sure what you mean by "receive" the e-ticket. I've booked numerous times through priceline and other intermediaries, but have never received a ticket. I would suggest that you look at the itinerary that you've received from priceline and look for the Airline Confirmation Number (which may be a sequence of letters and or numbers depending on the airline). Then go to the airline's website and look up your flight itinerary. This process also varies by airline, but there should be some menu such as "My Trips" or other itinerary look up option. The airline should be able to find your itinerary based on your name and confirmation number. If your priceline itinerary contains an e-ticket number, you may be able to use that on the airline's website as well. If the airline has your itinerary, you're good to go. You'll be able to check in and get a boarding pass (electronic or print) 24 hours prior to your flight. If the airline has no record of you, then you've got a problem.
Priceline has a rating of 1.3 stars from 2,662 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with Priceline most frequently mention customer service, rental car and credit card. Priceline ranks 440th among Travel Deals sites.
