After speaking to prepaid gift balance customer service *******536 they told me you can not use multiple gift cards on one transaction it has to be the full amount of the charge. It's wrong of this company not to allow you to NOT use you small balances on multiple cards on one transaction. Will never buy gift cards from this company ever again.

Gave me the same story it seems everyone else is getting. Called about 6 times. On hold for over an hour. Got connected to someone and they told me my card had been "hacked" even though I just took the white label off. Asked to speak to someone else. Was told no. Asked three other times. Finally got someone else. Told me the card was hacked but couldn't tell me who did it so I could press charges. Guy speaking refused to give me his last name. Told me he would need to activate my old card in order to get me a new one which makes no sense. He said "Um" a lot. Which really proves he didn't know/ wasn't 100% on what he was telling me. Told me to wait 7-14 business days. Getting in contact with a lawyer now. Avoid at all costs
Got this as a gift. Unable to register it online. So I came to this site and wow... nothing but bad reviews. I will definitely tell everyone I know not to purchase these gift cards. I hope I can use it for instore purchases.
Received $100 gift card for Christmas. Went on line 1/31/2022 to register the card. Once registered it said the balance was $25. I checked the activity history. Card was purchased and activated in store on 12/11/2021. I received it on 12/23/2021 and on 12/31/2021 there was a $75 purchase at TMB Oil co in Anaheim, CA. I called the only phone number available as was on hold for 45 minutes. Called back as 12:05am. After about 25 minutes a customer service person finally answered and after I explained the problem he put me on hold again to hold for a fraud specialist. It is now 1:47am and still on hold. He did deactivate the card so now I don't even have access to the $25 balance that was still on the card. I waited till the late hours to call thinking i would have less hold time. Wrong!
The website doesn't work, I've sat for over an hour on hold at 3 different times of the day hoping to get a human without luck. I cannot register my card so there is no way to use my card for any type of online purchase. I'm just hoping after reading the other reviews that I am even able to use the card in stores.
I bought a prepaid $100 gift card from Walmart as a birthday gift for a friend. Later, my friend told me that she never be able to use the gift card because the balance is zero. I went online to check the balance; it showed that the owner of the card is "Jennifer". Jennifer is not my name, nor my friend, and I don't know who Jennifer is, and the balance is zero. According to the website account, there was one transaction that cost $100.
I have no idea what happened? I called the prepaid card customer service. Per their request, I faxed my ID and the original receipt to them twice. I called them so…… many times. I am telling you it's not easy to get somebody to pick up the phone. You need absolutely patience to wait. I told them what happened every time I called and I also told them I wouldn't give up my $100. But today (1/27/22), I told them I give up. Because I see there is no hope to get my money back, it has wasted my time from the beginning (I started calling them in December 2021). What I am going to do is tell everybody I know that do not buy the prepaid gift card. I am angry, it's not because I lost $100, it's the useless customer service. They keep saying I am not the owner of the card; they believe that Jennifer is the owner…stupid
I purchased a gift card last night from Fry's grocery store I went to try to use the card and it did not work. Then I called customer service and they told me that the card had been blocked because there was fraud on it and they want to mail me another one. I spent $200 on this dam card and this is totally unacceptable
My family had every card activated and the money on the visas stolen before they even opened an account, 5 people with $60 on each visa stolen totaling $300. If you ever think of buying a visa as a gift card think again and give cash instead if you do not want your money stolen. Even after that they give you the runaround trying to get another one as a replacement. Be Warned!
This is a horrible gift card they charged percentages for every where you used the card and said it would be released after 10 days, and then when it was time to release the funds they said there was a transaction made that I DID NOT MAKE and kept my money, I think they are making money off people
Bought 3 cards on Jan 9, they would not work. After calling customer service 5 times and waiting on hold each rime over 20 min before hanging up, I finally got through - I was told the cards had been compromised before purchase and that replacement cards would be sent out in 5-7 days and they took all my information. I have kept the cards and all my receipts ( this is not the first time this has happened but I always got my replacements int he past). It has now been 11 days and i am back on a call to see when they were mailed. I have been on hold for 21 minutes as I type this. Sadly I think Kroger need to go with another gift card company for their Visa/MC gift cards
Went to register my brand new/sealed $250 prepaidgiftbalance VISA card only to find that someone had used it in California and Arizona 5 times and leaving me with $3 on the card. The *******536 number is a joke. They barely speak English. After giving them my information and story of what had happened they deemed my card "compromised." They then told me I would have to be transferred to their fraud department... I waited 1 hour and 18 minutes before giving up. I called the next day... having to repeat everything over and over again... on the fifth try they finally were able to switch me to the "FRAUD DEPARTMENT." I had to repeat everything over and over. They made a note and told me I would be receiving a form to fill out about what happened. Once I fill it out and send it back to them, they will review it. It could take 90 days for this process and to receive my money on a new card. I called today and they are just useless. I want to know where my replacement card is and they asked if I have filled out the form and returned it. No, I haven't receieved it. Do yourself a favor and never buy these gift cards again. Never.
I received my pre paid gift card from an health organization (one of many for health checks) I scrapped off the label this am and tried to register it. Nothing so I called and was told by it was registered in someone else's name. Tried to tell this so call customer service rep (spoke little English) that I just scrapped off the label. Basically was told too bad too sad. I am out of the $100 gift. Would not transfer me to a supervisor as I offered to show the card with the white label scrapped off.
I'm trying to register the giftcard so I can use it online. Their online website doesn't work. So, I tried calling their customer service. The phone rings three times. Their is an automatic answering of their phone... their is an automatic hanging up of their phone. Essentially, there is NO way to reach the company to wom I've just given my money.

Bought what I thought was a VISA gift card for our daughter from Kroger. It did not work when she tried to use it. Turns out it is not a VISA gift card. It is some off brand that uses the VISA infrastructure for transactions.
I Navigated to the PrepaidGiftBalance website written on the back side of the card. Very sketchy website. On the activity page I discovered that there were charges made to the card on the other side of the country at a dollar store. Charges that we had not authorized. Nor have we travelled to California to visit a dollar store.
The only way to dispute charges is to call the 888 number. I called and waited over an hour to speak with someone. They were polite. I answered dozens of questions. Then I was essentially told that I was going to receive documents in the mail reiterating the info I had given. I would have to sign it and return the document with a copy of my identification (uh... no thanks sketchy company). Then someone would investigate the charges... really? And how would they do that? No answer.
If the charges were deemed to be fraudulent then there would be a lengthy and convoluted process to return the funds to me. IF.
Lesson learned. When buying a gift card make sure it is from a reputable company. This company is not it.
Child was given a gift card and it was a misprint somehow the numbers on the back didn't match the ones on the front called several times was told not to worry we will send a new card out that will have the full correct value and after waiting two weeks it comes and now it's missing 79 dollars, so 100 dollar gift is now a 21 dollar gift and there's no help in sight. The real problem is I am a single parent on a very fixed income and because it was a Christmas gift I went ahead and let my kiddo spend this money because she was excited now I'm out the money and I can't afford this! Seems this is an ongoing issue and no resolution, they want a copy of my drivers license before they can help me! FRAUD FRAUD FRAUD!
At first everything seemed to go fine, i've had $50 on this card and i've only used $30 the first two days i've had it. After that, it started declining everywhere although i had $20 on it :/ customer service is crap, they don't answer the phone, and there's no other way to contact them. I should've sticked with onevanilla. DONT BUY FROM THESE FRAUDS! They should be sued in everyway, i'm not the only person experiencing this.
After registering my $100 dollar card, i was able to use it once at the gas station. My second attempt, declined and my 3rd attempt declined. Logging back into the website to figure out what was going on, my card showed a zero balance also showing a number of unauthorized charges, leaving the balance at zero. I tried calling the number listed on the website and was on hold for over an hour without a representative ever coming on the line, altough the messages continually loops to say please continue to hold, a representative will be on the line shortly. AS IF. I spent $30 on this $100 gift card and the remaining $70 balance just vanished? Terrible customer service and it is most likely registering in the first place that gives some web hosting crook the information needed to steal your balance. BUYER BEWARE - DO NOT PURCHASE THESE CARDS.
I bought two gift card for my children for Xmas. It turns out there is no money on them. I paid $100 each. I called and they keep telling they were used before I purchased not sure how that works. They also said they will send a replacement 3-5 business day. Still haven't received anything. I called today they ask for my address name so they can send another within 14 days. Sad part as a single parent I lost $200 due to gift card scam
I repeat do not put any money into these Visa Gift cards. Trust me I sent out two faxes and these people act like they never received them. They also have the fax containing my Driver I.D., the front and back of the Gift card plus the receipt of purchase, and pretend they never received anything. I believe they only doing 5 percent of legit work to get over but 95% is to get your information to use against you via using your actual debit or credit card. Krogers, Publix, Ingles, Target, Walmart need to take these off their shelves. Thank God I didn't put more than $50 on this card or i would have went hell to high water to get revenge.

Answer: When you buy at the store it will be activated by the casher, if you have problem go back to store with your receipt and they will fix. You know you should always get a receipt for giftcards!
Answer: From my experience you generally don't need to register a giftcard for instore use, only for online or other types of purchases.
Answer: Contact customer support number. Wait time... varies. Theyll help you register your card without having to deal with the janky website (if the wait times arent 2 hours of course)
