Horrible customer service
September 6, 2017

So I ordered Chinese food and by mistake entered had my work location instead of my home address chosen. I immediately called customer service to have location changed (since they do not allow you to change location, even if you do so before the driver heads out) and get a message saying they no longer had a phone number customers could reach them by. I emailed them. No live service so I had to wait for the driver to head out (that is when their number is available) I called to let them know I selected the wrong location by mistake. They told it was no problem and that they would head my way. They did not. They then told me they were waiting for customer service to respond and it "made" her drive all the way to wrong location (funny that drivers can reach customer service right away but customers can't) She NEVER responded and took my food. The following day I got a message pretty much saying oh well. We don't allow you to change location (even before driver heads out) and I would still be charged. This is CRAP customer service. If this were a half decent company they would have resolved the issue and had a way for me to correct the mistake since I caught it early. It would be different if they driver were already at the wrong location but I contacted them as soon as Postmates made it possible. No respect for this company after that.

Do NOT use Postmates.

With so many options, do not use this company. I ordered at 5:00, got a confirmation and notice that my order would arrive by 5:50ish. At 6:10 I called the restaurant that I ordered from to see if my order had been picked up. They told me that the company had just ordered at 6:05 at the time I first put a query about where my order was. Unfortunately it made for a stressful evening with hungry children and adults we were having over. The restaurant told me they were having problems with this service.

The Customers don't tip!

So I actually shadowed my gf who just started this job. Looks like the company pays right so far. The customers though just like with any tipping job don't seem to know what a tip is. This is for all you cheap losers who have given a 1 star. Life isn't free. If you use a service to continue to keep sitting around your house your gonna pay a premium. Learn to tip! You won't get a nicer person than my girlfriend you cheap skates! Your not being ripped off!

I have contacted their customer service multiple times with no response about charges to my account. I was charged for food that was not delivered and my food came ice cold and beaten up. Unacceptable. I will not use or recommend Postmates to anyone. Will be refuting charges.

Delivery Charges

They don't show u the delivery charge until they finalize ur order and charge ur account I will not be ordering from them ever again they are a rip off. I can take an uber for cheaper.

Steep fees

Selection is decent but it's really nothing to write home about. Don't be fooled by the "delivery credit" they give to get you to sign up. The delivery charge is only a small part of the actual fees they charge. The bulk of it is hidden under "taxes and fees," in case you were wondering why tax is suddenly 25%. The prices end up being the same or slightly higher than traditional delivery sites like Grubhub except you get the added bonus of seeing where your delivery guy is, which can be either helpful or infuriating.

I placed an order and afterwards the app told me that there was not a Postmate within range to deliver so I imediately canceled the order and went to pick it up myself. Postmates still charged me for the full amount of my order and is refusing to refund me even though the food was not made twice (I double checked with the restaurant). It took two weeks for a customer service rep to even respond to my email about the situation and now are not responding to my follow-up emails. I will never use Postmates again! I am a manager in the customer service industry and if I treated our customers this way I would be out of a job and our business would fail just as Postmates eventually will because better options are available for delivery services.

Ordered from postmates for $20. Waited by my door for 55 min to see the app said food was delivered. I quickly emailed customer service to let them know delivery was never received, so the replied with,"Driver came to my house, waited 5 mind and texted me, but no response so I will be charged for full price" Never received food, never received tefund. Actually charged me more. Now they no longer reply to emails. They're bottom feeders. Will do everything in my powee to get them shut down.

False advertising

I ordered from Postmates thinking there prices were reasonable and delivery charges were cheap. Boy was I wrong! First off they overcharged me by $10 after my order was already made, then when I contacted them they said there vendors can change their prices at anytime. Even after I provided the screenshot of their prices they're like, "There price listed quote un quote is an estimate" BULLCRAP... I will never use postmates ever again nor will I recommend them! They didn't even try to offer any credit or nothing! Worst customer service and business ever and I never write reviews but postmates is horrible.

Buyer Beware!

Placed an order at 7:15pm. When I realized ETA was 8:15pm, I immediately attempted to cancel order, and drive by to pick it up myself. I needed to be out of the house with food in hand, by 8:00pm. App would not allow me to cancel without incurring the FULL amount of the food purchase! I could understand if food was out for delivery, but it was at best 3 minutes after I placed the order that I wanted to cancel. DO NOT PLACE AN ORDER WITH POSTMATES unless you are absolutely sure you want it!

Stealing Money

So! I bought $46.44 in food *******@postmates. They charged me $58.52.

I sent them an email and asked them why it wasn't my original price so they refunded me the $12 which has not hit my account yet.

I wake up today to see that they have charged me $46.44 PLUS $58.52 so at this point they have now taken $105 out of my account.

They just told me that this is standard and I should wait 5 to 10 days for them to return the $58.52 because that's just how it goes.

I have been using Postmates for over a year now and never in my life have I heard a company being able to take all that money out of your account and expect you to wait 5 to 10 days for it to miraculously reappear especially when my order was only $46.44. Be very careful using some of these services! I'm livid.

While the emails they send you may say Delivery Accepted, the delivery section is not as clear. While reading the cancellation section, I checked to make sure the status of my order was not in delivery (it wasn't) and had not changed status in anyway. Unfortunately, the Delivery Accepted email arrived as I had placed the cancellation so it was too late. I tried to reach support about this but there is no number to call, just a form.

Just know you're going to pay the full amount of the food plus the cancellation fee if you cancel. Super rip-off, will not use again. It's a $30 lesson.

Ahahahaha!

I use Uber, Lyft, Instacart and Grubhub on a regular basis in St. Louis so I thought I would give Postmates food delivery a try.

I ordered a Arby's Max Roast Beef meal with a Dr, Pepper and large fries and then went throught the usual sign-up on Postmates.com St. Louis.

I could not find any info on how much this service charged, but I thought maybe it would be comparable to Grubhub, another food delivery service here in St. Louis.

The meal cost $8.67. They doubled that price to give me a sub total, then added sales tax to the 100% mark-up AND added a $13 delivery fee for a total of over $33!

That is why I could not find what the charge for their service would be until after I gave them all my personal and debit card info, right down to my security code.

Beware Postmates! Data thieves!

I placed an order on my account with a default credit card I had on file and my girlfriends card which was not even on my account was charged. We do not know how they got her credit card number nor how or where it got stored on my phone. Instantly contacted postmates to cancel the order and was not abke to do it, then contacted customer service and received the same " I'm sorry I can't help you" response everyone had received after an hour wait for a response. I responded back to her letting her know what they had done on their end was an error, and NEVER received a response back.
This company is a fake and a fraud and should not be in business.

Horrible Service

* I am just getting my food after ordering 2 hours ago. I kept seeing that the delivery was close like 8 minutes away and then 15 minutes. After the delivery time jumped from being 8minutes to 17 to 19 minutes two or three times and after waiting an hour and 15 minutes I called the delivery person she said she had to wait 30 minutes for my food so she started doing other deliveries and I had to wait. She got loud and started yelling and said should she cancel the order and I called back to tell her no I want the order (I would have canceled but you all changed my bank account $40 and take about 5 days to process refunds) but that it was unacceptable for it to take this long and for her to start other deliveries before completing the mine. She lied and said I cursed at her but I don't curse and did not raise my voice. When she arrived instead of bringing the delivery to my apartment as every other Postmates has done she called to at me again and to tell me to come downstairs when I asked aren't you bringing the delivery up she said know so at 11:05pmI had to go downstairs and when I went down she was at 267 Edgecombe Avenue not 281 Edgecombe Avenue which was my address. So she then yells at me in front of my neighbors (who can testify to this) and insults my appearance. She never apologized for being late, she didn't come to the correct building and complained about how much she was going to get paid. She also said "I should talk $#*! to people who have my food" so though I was charged over $40 for the food I ordered with a $14.50 delivery fee I am throwing the food away. I am requesting a full refund or I am deleting Postmates and ordering with another service. I have never received delivery service like this in all the years I have used multiple delivery services and I frequently order from Postmates.

This was horrible service and she was very rude and even threatening.

There is literally a hundred other bad reviews as you can see, most commonly people who get ripped off and scammed. Online promos are also a scam (they do not clarify that the 50 or 100 dollars off only applies for the deliver fee), and customer support is no help, they won't reply to you. Or will reply with a "sorry, we can't help you". It's no wonder they don't have a call line, people would chew them out. People save yourself the mental anxiety and don't spend 30 dollars on a deliver that costs 15.

I was Ripped off!

I ordered 1 meat/pasta dish to be delivered from Pasadena to Altadena at about 7:00pm on a Tuesday eve. The item was $26.00 to feed 2-3 people.
The total charge from Postmates was $54.00- delivery was $21.00!
Never again- feeling conned

Scam
July 29, 2017

I ordered some $9 Chick-fil-A and my total came out to be $21.50. I was confused about that because I thought I had $100 in free deliveries. I go in check my bank 2 days later and saw that they charged $30 as well as $21.50. Customer service has not responded and they probably never will. Please do NOT use this service.
