I use to order from them and never had a problem now all of a sudden they pre authorize your card double what your spending and they say its to assure the money can cover the order. This is bs and then it takes damn near 5 days to get back on your card. Im not sure if they were being scammed or not but I wont be using this service anymore.

Ridiculous to use!

We are staying at a hotel literally right next to Dennys! Because it is my husbands birthday we opted to not leave the room and use Postmates. Delivery person didnt even want to be bothered to bring the food to the room. They asked us to meet in the hotel lobby. Wow for that we could have walked to Dennys ourselves and saved the $6 plus $2 tip!

Postmates never arrive!

This postmates is so far the worst delivery person i have ever experienced and they don't deliver but charge you full amount and customer support sucks.

Worst experience today ever! I just found out that my pending charge was $101 for 2 bagels and a coffee! Total charge was $23 but it will take a few days before my money will be released! Totally INSANE!

Postmates unlike the competitors used to be cheaper, faster, and goes to places others don't, like this local cafe that I love. Well not anymore. The other day I ordered and i. Pregnant and have been craving a mocha frap from coffee bean. So I ordered one for me, and one for my husband. About 11 dollars with tax for both. So I go to the checkout knowing they have delivery fees and what not but I was shocked to see the total was 21 dollars. How it it possible my fees and taxes are more then the price of the coffee. Plus tipping the driver. Postmates used to be cheaper and didn't have all these Cart fees an 6/7 dollar delivery fees. I don't care how bad my craving was. I'd rather go myself which I did the next day then spend nearly 30 dollars on TWO coffees! Insane 21 dollars plus tip for 2 coffee's?!? No thank you

I placed an order that I never received and they refused to refund my money. They say their driver was there despite never having a knock on my door or the door bell rung.
They kept the food and will not refund my money. HORRIBLE. They have stolen from me by keeping my money and not delivering any product. And apparently that is their policy.

Everyone can make a mistake but their customer service is terrible. For me, part of the order they agreed I placed had not been given to restaurant and parts of the order that made it to the restaurant were not delivered. 100% of their response is to not charge for items you don't get -- like, fair enough -- but if you are hoping to eat with someone else or eat your full meal, they expect you to reorder (new service fee, new tip, another hour wait). AND if you don't like that answer, they just ignore you.

Horrible

I ordered from there once and as soon as the driver handed my my food, everything feel through the bag because it was soaking wet. I paid for a drink and they gave me an empty cup. I also randomly had 60 dollars pending on my account when my order was only 20 dollars. NEVER AGAIN

I live in LA and drive to Hollywood to make deliveries. Made about 60 deliveries in 4 days and earned $470. If u provide fast n friendly service people usually tip. Sometimes alot more then you'd expect lol thinking about starting it full time, alot less stressful then my job and pay rate is about the same

Going downhill

I would stay away from this merchant. They will cancel an order after 30minutes blaming the customer. One time our order got cancelled after an hour claiming that the food was damaged during delivery. Nothing will be compensated for the wasted tine and their client service is absolutely terrible. Thus type of company should be driven out of the market.

Horrible experience

Horrible experience. Asked for a refund and never received it. They started billing me monthly, no idea why. I had to stop payment at my bank and ended up having to cancel my card to make sure they wouldn't charge me again. Awful company.

NEVER AGAIN!

I ordered some food that cost about $20 bucks and when the driver accepted the order and received the order I seen on the map that he was just sitting around on some street. So finally when he arrived at my building I waited by the door to retrieve my food and it never came. So I went downstairs and security said that he never came in at all but he marked the order as delivered. So I quickly emailed customer service and they told me since he pulled up and waited (and never contacted me might I add) that I will not be receiving a refund! Please who ever is deciding to order from this company DONT! It is a scam they don't even want you contacting them when There's a issue. If I'm spending my money with you I should get great customer service and rapid response if there is a problem. These people are very unprofessional and I hope they get shut down.

Customers not tipping

Postmates customers are not tipping in Calif. Some trips are over 1 hr, that is quite a bit of miles to deliver food without getting some extra compensation showing appreciation that you did not have to leave your home. Treat this as though you are in a restaurant... at least 15% tip

As a worker in the service industry who is depending on Tips to make a living, this company has been super annoying. They never tip (which I have heard they can't legally do) and many of the ones that I have dealt with are extremely rude and impatient. Being in the service industry we understand that it is our job to give people a pleasant experience. So with that being said, my other customers are a higher priority than people calling placing Postmates orders. Obviously our goal is to help everyone but we're humans and sometimes we get busy. If you are wanting to order post mates from a restaurant (not fastfood) I urge you to please think about them please and call it in your selves and take the extra step to pick it up yourselves. There are employees taking the time to prepare and bag up your order probably during a dinner or lunch rush that are not being considered.

I ordered some items back in July. Brandsmart was the company i ordered the items from. I was charged for a cancellation fee using postmates services. I received a called from Brandsmart to cancel the order because they did not have the item. When i cancelled the order. I wrote an email to postmates asking why they are charging a fee. Result. We have to charge you a fee regardless if i cancelled it or not. Please don't order from this company a total ripoff.

BEWARE OF POSTMATES
September 10, 2017

I placed an order with POSTMATES, for food while staying at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Beverly Hills Calif. I received a text that the gentleman was outside with my food, even though he had the room number he never came up like everyone else they had bought my food up to my room prior, on each occasion, they room number was on my profile. He never showed up, and I had no number in which to reach him or text to reach him. He claimed he was downstairs at the hotel. Went back down again stayed an hour and 10 minutes. He was nowhere around the hotel and he would of gone by me and several other valet men if had of been there. There were at least 8 to 10 valet gentleman outside on Saturday night I know them all I've been at the Hotel for over three months. The guy never showed up and post mates informs me that they are not responsible for their drivers at all, delivering your food. My bill was sixty some dollars in change, and I never saw my food. The hotel cameras show that he never showed up at all. BEWARE OF POSTMATES THEY CLAIM THAT THEY ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR FOOD NOT ARRIVING SAFELY, thank goodness I used American Express, they don't see it that way st all.

The postmates delivery driver lied for the 2nd time stating he hands the instructions to the restaurant employee which was the reason why the order was missing items i paid for and completely incorrect. I will never use the postmates service due to the uneducated people working for them who have the inability to follow instructions. Thanks for nothing postmates!

Bad customer service

I ordered two item and they only delivered one and person who delivered said they only gave me one order. When I show him postmate web it said clearly two order but some how I only got one order and since restaurant only charged one item they charged me delivery fee and small order fee total 10 dollars extra! I waited 1hour for my lunch and didn't even got full order and charged extra fees! There's no customer service to call only way is Email to them! They replying my email hour later and said sorry we can't refund delivery fee cause small order. I Email them back u didn't get my point I DIDN'T get my order, I only got one instead two! Horrible customer service not worth! Never back with POSTMATE
