Ordered food, it was never delivered. Couldn't download app or contact driver. POSTMATES tried to charge me anyway. Will never use their service again.

Postmates has the worst customer service of every delivery service I have ever used. If your order is completely wrong and doesn't contain what you ordered? Sorry, here's $5. Once waited over an hour for a pizza, and when it showed as being right outside my door- cancelled on me. No way to get immediate support or a replacement order, and nothing was done to compensate me other than just refunding my money a few days later. They send me promo codes often (specifically to my account) and when I go to input them they don't work... customer support just sends some boilerplate email. That's false advertising and a way to bait people in. Recently got an order that was cold and of tremendously poor quality, I sent them a picture and alerted them immediately - customer support said 'sorry, we hope it doesn't happen again'. The food was inedible, but still didn't get as much as a free delivery code. This company is an absolute rip off and you would be better off with Grubhub, DoorDash, or hiring a school child to bring you food.

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER
January 19, 2018

It is impossible to do worse than POSTMATES! It took FOREVER to figure out how to order to only find that the PLACE CHOSEN WASN'T IN MY DELIVERY AREA! WHY WAS IT SUGGESTED WHEN I PUT MY DELIVERY ADDRESS IN?

Then, by the time we found a place to deliver, it timed out because it took so long and the restaurant had stopped delivering because they entered into their peak hours! NOT THE RESTAURANT'S FAULT HERE!

Lastly and certainly not least. After we finally weeded through these incredible problems and went to successfully place an order, IT SAID MY GIFT CERTIFICATE CODE HAD EXPIRED! It was said never to expire!

I contacted customer service 6 days ago and have had NOTHING BUT AUTOMATED RESPONSES SAYING THEY are experiencing a higher than average number of requests and thank you for my patience! I HOPE THIS COMPANY GETS WHAT IT DESERVES!

Signed up for Postmates using a promo code created via an advertising deal they have with YouTuber Philip DeFranco that was supposed to get me $100 in free delivery credit to try the service. First order had the fees comped, 2nd and 3rd orders did not. Contacted the company, they told me the code was created by a 3rd party coupon site and was not approved by Postmates - total lie. Then a few days later they told me that the promo code expired 12/12/2017, which shouldn't have mattered since I signed up 2 months prior, and my orders were mostly prior to that date as well. But it's also another lie because that same YouTuber was using the promo code in their video posted on 12/18/2017. So this company baited & switched me through this advertising deal, definitely not the kind of business you should be giving your money to, no matter how good, and how convenient the service is. There are other options.

After waiting 45 minutes for my order I was informed that it had been cancelled. The response from customer service was sorry, just be grateful we aren't charging you for delivering nothing.

BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE!

DON'T trust these people in fact if you cant do an instant chat or a talk to a live person i would not recommend you use them. I placed my first order with them and as of 2 hours no food, no call, no email,... the cheescake factory at the grove in Los Angeles the manager was so nice that he personally is driving it to us DO NOT USE POSTMATES THEY charged my credit card and won't respond i've sent 3 emails and all the pictures that are posted showing who works there not one can respond what a bunch of losers! No customer service they have all these specialist but not one handles customers service

Not worth it

Unless you like overpaying, receiving cold food, waiting an hour for your food, and having a ridiculous "hold" of $50 put on your card, don't order through Postmates. Horrible service.

I was charged 24.90 for a #1 Big Mac meal from macdonalds (big rip off) there usually 8.00$, but worst of all the girl kept my soda so I only received a burger and fries. Yikes!

POSTMATES IS THE WORSE!

I honestly hate driving for Postmates.
It's impossible to reach them most times. If a merchant is closed and you ask customer to cancel most won't because of a cheap $#*! $4 cancellation fee therefore if you don't cancel ( messing up your ratings) the order will stay on your phone soooo whichever stupid customer who made you miss out on money wins over 4 damn dollars. POSTMATES IS ABOUT CUSTOMERS NOT DRIVERS!

Over the past two weeks, I have had nothing but bad experiences when using Postmates. First bad experience: ordered lunch for myself and a coworker. After 45 minutes of waiting, I get a notification saying that there was nobody to pick up our food and that our order has been cancelled. Seriously?!? How does this happen? Second bad experience (last week): the person delivering our food went to the wrong address and when she finally made to the correct address, I noticed a very strong smell of body spray in her car. When I took my bag and walked away, I noticed that the strong smell was all over the food bag like she had spilled perfume on our order! Ugh! Then today, we tried once again to place an order... got our food items all picked out, pressed the "place order" button, and got a black box that said this restaurant is too far away and cannot be delivered to your location. Don't you think Postmates should limit their restaurant selection to those that are in their delivery vicinity, or would this make too much sense?!? I'm done with Postmates. Truly an awful service.

First of all, I ordered sushi from a place nearby. It was not cheap and I was home waiting for its arrival. I received notice that it would be arriving in 8 minutes. Then nothing. No call from the callbox to be buzzed in, no text that my order had arrived, nothing. So I went into my app looking for status and it was in the tip and rate window. The driver left raw fish outside in the front of my apartment building. I have no idea for how long and it was warm so I had no choice but to throw it away. Postmates gave me an automatic $20 but the order was $43! The next day I called because email was getting no where and I also now had a fraudulent $10 tip taken out of my bank account! I spoke with a woman, Erin, on the phone an she refunded the other $23 and was looking into the $10 tip. Meanwhile she had me send her a screenshot of the charges, which I did. Now I ordered again today because I want to use up the gift card amount and never use Postmates again. Anyway, I keep getting email messages that the tip is valid(because they were including today also). So now I have taken another screenshot which shows the 3 completed charges and the 1 pending charge. Again I'm only disputing one of these charges. And I just keep getting the runaround. So now Im doing what I can to make sure people know to not use this service. I was really only using it to try to help people make money(drivers and restaurants) but I'll just go pick up myself. Its just not worth it.

Fraudsters

I made a purchase on March 31st and paid a decent amount for an order from a restaurant I wanted to try. I was advised the order would take about 50-70 minutes to arrive and although that was absurdly long, I chose to go ahead with the order. I always track my orders when I do deliveries so I can be aware of when the driver is approaching. I got the alert that the driver would be arriving soon and I was sitting right by my window waiting for the driver to arrive and deliver my food before going out to get it. No one ever arrived, but my order was marked as delivered. I didn't even see a car come into my subdivision and possibly deliver to the wrong address. I immediately notified Postmates and was advised that someone would be contacting me. I got an email asking me to verify that the phone number on my account was a good number for them to call. I confirmed it was. I never heard from anyone and then my dispute was closed without resolution. I reopened it and was told I would hear from someone in a day or so. Nothing. It's been almost a month and they have not refunded me. I will never order with them again!

I would actually give Postmates a Negative 5 star review. All of our hot Food was delivered Cold. The order was wrong, missing items, incorrect completely. It was not cheap and I immediately contacted their Support online and stated the majority of our issues, because we didn't realize all of the errors at first. But the food being cold and having to reheat it, plus missing and incorrect items is just unacceptable. They offered $3.50 credit only. I called them because online they said stated that resolved the issue.
When I spoke to a human she said that's all they can do. Period.
Their service is strictly to deliver your meal orders and correctly. The rep said that's all she can do so I called my bank and cancelled the charge, which I told her that I would be doing plus writing a bad review.
When I looked up reviews to write my own, I saw that that out of 800 reviews, they received 94% 1 star reviews.
HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. We have used them many times and there had been small mistakes that I never complained about but after today, I will never use them again!

The main point of Postmates is to keep the cost of support functions like customer service down. As such, there is no way to directly contact this company.

Their website does not retain order information such as delivery time as you navigate through the order creation process. As such, it is very easy to order food for the wrong time since your requested time may not have been saved.

There is no way to update an order, even minutes after placing it, unlike GrubHub and others. There is no way to talk to someone about situations like this.

The suggested way to deal with this is to cancel the order (and pay the fee) and place a new order. The help instructions did not mention that you will not be refunded for a cancelled order, even minutes after placing it.

If all goes well, and sometimes it will with Postmates, then you're golden. Though the extra unexplained $20 fee and high delivery charges are troubling. But if there is any question or issue, you are out of luck.

On top of that, the replacement order I did place was an hour late and I got no status reports about what was happening.

Would not recommend.

Delivery Charges

They don't show u the delivery charge until they finalize ur order and charge ur account I will not be ordering from them ever again they are a rip off. I can take an uber for cheaper.

Everything is massively overpriced, even more than Doordash and Uber eats; the interface is nearly exactly the same as uber eats. Oh, and to make matters worst; they try to draw you in with "deals". They sent me a email saying "HEY! LINK YOUR ACCOUNT AND GET $10 OFF FOR FREE!" OK cool lemme try that.

Yeah it's $10 off if you spend $35 NOT counting their insane service and delivery fee's. Postmates does not offer anything compared to Uber Eats, Doordash, and Grubhub; feels like a rip off and does not respect your time at all.

NO CUSTOMER SERVICE. NONE. THEY ARE A ZERO STAR COMPANY.

BY DESIGN NO ABILITY TO SPEAK WITH HUMAN EVEN WHEN THERE ARE ISSUES WITH ORDER. NO PROPER RESOLUTION. I ASKED TO SPEAK WITH A MANAGER REPEATEDLY FOR WEEKS REGARDING ISSUES WITH THE SERVICE AND WAS COMPLETELY IGNORED BEFORE I JUST GAVE UP AND CANCELED MY ACCOUNT.

I HAVE BEEN USING ONLINE ORDERING SITES FOR OVER 15 YEARS, AND POSTMATES IS NOT A GOOD SERVICE. I WOULD HIGHLY SUGGEST ANY OTHER DELIVERY SERVICE OVER POSTMATES.
