Several times Sellers never bothered to ship items when I made the purchase. What a joke. Oh, I didn't get the message. Nonsense. I've never sent an insulting offer and purchase outright. There is no ability to communicate privately. More importantly, PM shipping fees too high. There is no 1st class for small or lightweight items and PM hiked $6.49 as their shipping costs. Any shipping discounts solely lands on the poor Seller who is already selling at low prices to compete. PM raking in the dough on shipping fees and selling fees. PM is also always pressuring Sellers to lower their already low prices. Going back to solid eBay with a 24/7 customer support center. PM treats their sellers like children.
I have issues with my new email as my old i deleted. However, i have tried to contact the service multiple times and i get an automated email saying that they will help. It has been a week and i have not received any personal assistance or solution to the issue! Also, i ordered an item and it has not arrived! There is no service! I am so mad i wasted time and money on this site!
I went on this site with an optimistic view; I had a lot of clothing worn once or twice that are high quality and although I loved them when I purchased, I no longer had space for them or had "grown" out of them.
A person on the app contacted me to let me know she had an event in a few days and wanted my dress for it. She also asked me if there were any snags, I inspected the dress that I had worn one time and confirmed there were no snags in the dress.
She got the dress and Poshmark allows 3 days after arrival for "accepting" an order; so she wore the dress, snagged it and then on the 3rd day made a claim that the dress had a snag and she wanted to return it... Poshmark obliged... this service is shady at best.
Because there is no quality check between the seller and the buyer, the buyer can really run you through the ringer and abuses the system. I've now heard this from more than one former user of Poshmark. I learned my lesson, hopefully you are able to save yourself before you have a 200 dollar dress you loved and only wore one time used and abused by a Poshmark person. Beware!
Beware - poshmark WILL STEAL FROM YOU!
I had to return a few of the items I purchased and I got refund for only one of them, Poshmark is claiming they got all through but my Venmo account is showing only 1. At the moment Poshmark owes me $100, I asked several times for someone to contact me but had no luck, zero response.
Very disappointing experience.

What a big MISTAKE I tried them for the first time and I regret it! I bought a Louis purse and the photos did not show the large stains and very worn. I received it and tried to contact them immediately well that is when I found out they DONT HAVE ANY PHONE NUMBERS!
They sent me a cut and paste email telling me to send photos. I did and received an IMMEDIATE response. NO RETURN. They are the biggest rip off. I have dealt with The Real Real for years and I guess I thought Poshmark was the same. I WAS WRONG be warned do not waste your money!
I bought a pair of Manolo blahniks for $40 in perfect condition and a brand new with tags $65 Victoria's Secret bra for $15 also in perfect condition!
Was new to Poshmark. Purchased an item from a *******@rkelly1 (Rachel Kelly) After 3 days, item said pending scan USPS. This lasted for about 6 more days. I contacted her on the 5th day and she says, "I've shipped your item sweetie with a fabulous free gift". I noticed on her comments to others that she's big on the whole- "sweetie, doll, sugar" thing to everyone. She then goes into this whole- "I have a relative in the hospital" thing. I contacted Poshmark after two more days to no avail. Finally! I contacted PayPal and they got me a refund. Turned out, this woman never shipped my item! I did some research and well, noticed that she'd done others like this too AND used the whole- "relative in the hospital" thing. Unlike myself, they left her some harsh, but true comments. Poshmark was THE worse buying experience I've ever had!
Poshmark is a great app to sell clothes in your closet. It caters specifically to women clothing, for anyone needing to know.
With sellers: you may run into a few sellers that are very unreliable, but this is almost never the case. I see a lot of counterfeit items being sold without stating they're counterfeit (which is not allowed on the app) so buyer beware with this. You will only see the POSITIVE feedback for a seller, which is also very unhelpful, as if anyone has had bad experiences with the seller, you will never know.
With buyers: I've never really had any issues with buyers, but I know of experiences. My sister has had a seller that did not accept an order for a WEEK, and after a week, she asked for a refund claiming there was a "hole" in the clothing that was NOT there before shipment. They can be very deceiving, and ask for returns for very arbitrary reasons (I've had one ask for a return for a 1 inch measurement error?) but this is usually not the case.
With these issues noted, it is very easy to sell items on this website. Updating your items daily ensures that it will get more shares and likes. There is a 20% commission which takes a big hit on your item but this comes with easy sales. I've never had any problem with customer service, it may take 24hrs for them to get back on any issues with an order, but they are usually very helpful in this process. You will find better deals on Poshmark than any other competing apps (Mercari, Depop, etc.) but you could also find things way too overpriced, you just have to know how to search!
I purchased a pair of Eileen Fisher pants for 65.00 not cheap. They came dried out stretched out waist that appears dry rotted. They do not take returns and even with my complaint they expect me to keep them. Total rip off with 6.00 shipping on everything. Stay away
I started selling with Poshmark in March of 2018. I had been doing really well, consistently receiving 5-star ratings from buyers. Poshmark's return policy is very strict and items cannot be returned for buyer remorse reasons or if the item doesn't fit, which sets the stage for lying when a buyer is hell-bent on returning an item for a refund. I had a buyer purchase a pair of distressed jeans. Almost 48 hours after delivery, she decides she wants to open a case alleging that the jeans arrived "very very damp" and they weren't as described in the listing. She never actually provided information to back up her latter claim, never once even spelled out what was inconsistent, she just kept harping on the lie that the jeans arrived damp. She submitted one very dim photo of a small section of the jeans, as though to take a photo by a candle light. I promptly responded stating that I mailed the jeans dry and in the condition described in the listing. I had just taken photographs of them literally hours before she purchased and I shipped them. Despite her baseless claim, the Case Reviewer with Poshmark does nothing in response except make a terse statement about requesting additional photos from the buyer. The buyer never responds to the request for additional photos, her last statement didn't even include her allegation about the jeans not being as described she simply harped on about them being damp and said she would just keep them if I wasn't going to agree to a refund. Three business days have lapsed since Poshmark's request for additional photos. I honestly feel like Poshmark uses bots to handle their cases, as it feels as though the case is being handled by a malfunctioning bot. There is no way to escalate or request the assistance of a supervisor. You have to send an email to support only to receive a canned "we're working on it, thank you for your patience" type of response which appears to come from a bot as they don't actually seem to be reading the content of my email. Also, they take a couple of days to respond to your question. Poshmark's whole process is most punitive towards the seller, as this buyer has my merchandise and Poshmark has not released my earnings.
Been on for 1.5 years and had couple cases and won, one person was asked to return the item and never did. Had an issue of online bullying from a fellow posher who sells used clothing. Complained a lot to posh and felt like they did it care. They said after many emails they would investigate but doubt there will be any conclusive results. She never bought from me. Her actions lead to a group bullying incident. Beyond her childish incident from this user I have had a great experience. Sold a lot of boutique items and have repeat customers which I love because I develop good relationships with them. I would have surely rated them a five star if I was not bullied from a *******@Lavender_Lemon
Fast forward to 2022, I have been selling on Poshmark since 2017 and I am a Poshmark Ambassidor 11 which one has to complete certain tasks like selling atleast 50 items in a 3 month period and lots of shares and keep a good feedback rating. I find that Poshmark support to be super excellent and really listen to me as a seller of this status and when I say when cases arise that I do not accept a return, Poshmark closes the case in favor of me as a seller. If I am wrong I will accept a return.
As far as a bulling incident that happened in 2017, I still feel the affects of this by people I never had contact with have chosen to block me because they believe that user and oh by the way she is NOT a Poshmark Ambassidor 11 and she has only one listing. I am happy she has no more success on Poshmark.
Don't be too friendly with users on Poshmark because this can lead to problems of they asking for things you do not want to deal with. Always be professional and see your right before emotion warp your selling experience.
As a seller on POSHMARK, I deal with the most annoying, inconsiderate and low class buyers. Their offers are an insult and they ask annoying questions on discounted items. You would think that they are buying new luxury items that cost over $2,000. Items listed are $5! It has been used! What do you expect when you decide to shop on POSHMARK!? Because of this type of people on there, it will take ages for you to sell anything and not worth it because they will low ball your offer by over 80%. It's best to just donate and have your items better appreciated it.
This company has the worst customer service in the history of customer service, there so bad it's disgusting. They refuse to return money on ill fitting clothing, they stall and ask you to take pictures and they say there reviewing. All there doing is stalling so they don't have to return your money.
Do not do any buying on this site you will get screwed
Purchased a faux pair of MBT sneakers which were not advertised as fake. They came apart from the soles and foam from the sides after 2 hours of walking. Could not contact seller directly but the company emailed me and was not helpful. I sent them pictures and they kept asking me to send pictures. I notified them within 24 hours of receiving the sneakers and they said I needed to notify them within 72 hours. Very confusing. I called my credit card company and lodged a complaint. The credit card co. Had a phone number for them but it was not a working number.
I have had some good purchase experiences on Poshmark with some excellent sellers however I have had enough experiences with flaky sellers that makes me want to stop shopping with Poshmark completely. Also there doesn't seem to be a way to rate crappie sellers because once the purchase is cancelled there is no way to leave a review about what a crappy seller they are. It seems Poshmark has no standards enforced on these people that list items theN yank them from you for whatever reason after you purchase the item. At least on Ebay the sales are looked at as legal commitents, Poshmark doesn't enforce anything.
I may just be done with them, tired of people wasting my time, listing items they have no intention of selling. I thought people wanted to make money.
I really love poshmark. I can get things cheap and easy. Only problem is that some things are used but the price doesn't go down for the product. This only happens to some products though
I sold a new skirt with tag attached which said JCrew and the name of the store that sold it. The buyer stated the skirt was not JCrew and submitted a return request. The tag was clearly visible on the skirt for the buyer to read. Then the buyer changed her mind and said she didn't want a refund. Poshmark ignored this and approved the return.
I bought a dress this spring which arrived with stains. I didn't pay a lot so didn't bother with trying to return. More recently, I listed a large number of nice items priced really cheap but only received "followers" 400 to be exact, and not one buyer after days of waiting. I removed my listing and am going back to EBay.
The customer service is horrible! Probably a call center in another country because they seem not to unserstabd what yoy ate trying to communicate. The only way to communicate with them is thru app or email. Be aware that if you buy something and have an issue with it you are stuck. These people gave VERY LIMITED understanding in communication.
I am a seller on Poshmark and it is true what the other sellers say - seller protection does not exist on poshmark and they almost always side with the buyer. The rating system is also unfair as you get people giving low ratings just because they didn't like the fit, dumb things like that. No way to dispute it. But what is most upsetting is the huge chunk poshmark gets for basically doing nothing. I'm talking 20% commission for products over $15! I'm fine with 10 or even 15%, but 20% is just too much for a site with poor service and no protection. No wonder I frequently see sellers and buyers taking it to PayPal instead of directly negotiating on poshmark. Sellers don't have to deal with the commission and buyers don't have to deal with the $6.50 shipping fee. Plus PayPal has a legitimate dispute system that will fairly judge on both sides - poshmark take note.
Answer: You've got to be smart about shopping online these days. There are scammers wherever you go. That said, if you follow the guidelines and steer clear from trading, which most sites don't condone, then you'll be fine. I've purchased over 100+ items on poshmark and have sold over 90+ with complete success, with the exception of the one time I decided to trade... I've purchased low prices items before and received junk a couple times, but Poshmark ALWAYS refunded me! Maybe I'm super savvy, so here's what I always do: 1. Always checkout the seller's reviews. 2. Always ask if there are any flaws with used items. 3. Always ask if sizing is TTS: "true to size" 4. And most importantly, always ask if it's authentic (unless otherwise specified in the description) These 4 questions have always led me to receiving exactly what I wanted and at half the retail price! Plus, it's so much fun! I've made a considerable amount of income from it, while also adding a nice set of items to my own closet! Good luck out there!
Answer: I have received every item I have ever bought on poshmark. It arrived on time and was in the exact condtion as was promised and how it appeared in the pics.
Answer: Well yes she received the boots and probably didnt like them or they didnt fit etc. she is trying to get her money back by trying to re sell them for 70.00 however she would only get 56.00
Answer: It took a long time, but today Poshmark said they refunded the entire purchase amount plus shipping because the booties I ordered were misrepresented. It took About a month and a half. Two times they offered me small credits toward another Poshmark purchase. I filed a very well documented (12 pages of emails, screen shots of the ad and screen shots of dialogue between me and the seller, Kimology) fraud claim with my credit card company, and I emailed Poshmark's customer service to advise them. Two days later they told me they were refunding my money. We'll see if that happens. Poshmark's customer service is terrible, but persistence paid off. Best of luck to you!
Answer: Ask probing questions: non-smoker? Ever been dry cleaned? How worn is it? Cats? Etc
Answer: I have the total opposite reaction to this question. This mystery group that decides what the outcome will be is ridiculous. You can't talk to anyone, and my last attempt to get support through emails, took one month! Not a fan of learning who the good sellers are by trial and error...
Answer: She probably stalked the other seller's listing and found you commented on the item you purchased. So technically, yes they can see what you buy as long as you commented something on the purchased listing.
Answer: Be careful on posh because they do not have your back. There is a lot of scandalous people on posh. Be careful on ebay as well. I bought a Michael Kors set on ebay that was listed as excellent condition but it was stained and reeked of cigarette smoke. Ebay did not refund my money. They said since it wasn't listed as brand new with tags I was screwed. I was out $315. Who wants a handbag and wallet that smells like shit? I think twice before buying on Ebay since that experience. Shame on the dishonest seller and Ebay for allowing that behavior. Good Luck!
Answer: Have you sent an email to Poshmark support? I have before and they did respond
Answer: You unfortunately cannot return an item if it doesn't fit. It's best to ask the seller the measurements of the item, if they tell you the wrong measurements you can return it. If they will not give you the measurements then don't buy from them. I'm new to selling on Poshmark and I will allow people to return their items if they don't fit because I believe that's what's right, you will find other good sellers!
