Worst customer service ever. Purchased a pair of shoes that were fraudulently listed and unwearable once I received them. Made a complaint w/photos via the Poshmark app and their joke of a customer service department. Poshmark gave me a measly $5 credit to make up for my $50 purchase with no explanation and PayPal even denied my claim. Will never ever shop with this disgusting site again. Buyers beware, there is NO protection for your purchases and sellers do as they please with no recourse.
Several incidents of shipping errors and attempts to reach someone unfruitful. Emails ate responded to with a generic poshmark email stating they appreciate you reaching out and someone will contact you within 24 hours but never do. EBay is much safer place to buy and sell. I've never had them not follow up or stand by purchases. Poshmark run by lazy people cashing in on commissions and doing nothing... just a middle man middle man middle man
Purchased a "nwt" gucci handbag that did not come with tags and obviously not authentic. Everyone who has experienced this same issue please file a complaint with the better business bureau.
I purchased a White Calvin Klein dress this week and immediately after the purchase asked Poshmark's customer service via email to cancel the order. The reply was; they had no way of cancelling on their end I should tag the seller asking to cancel. Well I *******@leista the seller, she explained Poshmark didn't inform her of me asking to cancel and the dress was shipped. She agreed for me to return the item in order to receive a refund and I said I didn't know how to do that. She was very helpful, she initiated the return yesterday. I haven't heard from Poshmark since.
Buyers on Poshmark scam sellers like myself! A buyer named Noelle in California stole my Chanel earrings claiming she wanted to return them because a post was bent and the props used in my picture didn't get sent to her! Ridiculous! She mailed back everything I had packed the earrings in EXCEPT the earrings! And Poshmark has not been helpful whatsoever!
Just bought my first item. Within an hour of receiving filed for a return. The item had undisclosed stains not mentioned in the description. Been 4 days and still no refund. Giving me the run around. Any other place you have sufficient time and rights as a buyer to return an item. Especially an online clothing purchase. This site tries very hard to make you re-sell the item so they can make another 20% commission on the sale. Which is why they do not want to refund you and make you re-sell the item. Horrible. Stick to RealReal, eBay anything but this site.
People here with their bad reviews make me believe everyone is a friggin idiot anymore. This ist a company store this is a community like ebay. All posh is is a platform. So you have to be responsible for your transactions. Ask wuestions, request specific pics, do your own research to make sure what youre buying is authentic and undamaged. Then if you receive the wrong thing or its damaged you have evidence for a refud. Something not fitting is not a reason for a refund unless they purposely listed it as S and the tag says XL. So ASK QUESTIONS, and authenticate yourself for designer items. Otherwise its your own damn fault. Been selling two years, never hada return after 500 sales, have bought over 200 items and had problems with only ten, all of which i was refunded for. Only reason im giving four stars is because all customer service is through email, not phone.
It's exhausting-Poshmark business module wants you to do all their SEO for them and rake in 20% commission for doing nada/zip... But hey-you can also spend countless hours hosting local parties and sip/posh get togethers. So Poshmark doesn't have to. I make more money elsewhere.
I don't know why so many people had so many bad experiences. I purchased 52 items and only one had to be returned due to dress being 3 inches shorter, but I received a prompt refund. My other 51 purchases I rated five stars. All excellent, as described and arrived quick. If you don't believe me you can look under my posh profile: savvychicdaily - under love notes I have given sellers.
The key is to read descriptions carefully, look at all pics, close ups, tags etc, ask questions. As for measurements.
If you don't have sufficient info or pictures are not clear, just don't buy. Also, I do not buy from sellers who have not updated their posted items in months, and have almost nothing listed for sale. They are probably not active profiles, and your purchases might not ship.
Overall I give the site five star rating and will keep using it.
In October of 2019, I purchased a T shirt that was listed as a Men's Large, but when I received it, it was actually a Kid's large. I contacted Poshmark support about the issue & provided pictures, measurements & charts to compare the sizes between mens & kids. The seller claimed that the shirt was purchased from the men's department & was a men's size which was complete B. S. The Poshmark support team denied my return request because they said my case did not qualify for a return due to the item being listed correctly as a large & the tags on the shirt stated large. It upset me because after I sent them all the info & pictures, they couldn't put the pieces together to see the issue. Now I'm stuck with an item I can't use & choose not to go through the trouble of reselling it. An unfair decision was made & it was all B. S! Their support team & return policy is trash so I got rid of my account & app on my phone! After this I no longer see myself using Poshmark!
I'm a seller at poshmark, TOP SELLER and because they don't care about us seller I'm quitting poshmark, they're unfair and let buyers scam us sellers, They don't care about anyone but the money they're making from the sellers and buyers. Don't ever join poshmark, they're rude and unfair. Don't waste your time on them. Plus the take a lot from us the fee is way to high, Mercari will always be better. Go to them instead.
I sold a pair of authentic shoes on Poshmark bought directly from the brand's monostore- customer said she is purchasing for her wedding in April on the message- she sent the item back 6 months later to poshmark saying this is fake- poshmark sided with the customer, refunded her and debited my account on the basis of ungrounded accusation- would not trust to buy or sell
I thought I'd give this site a try, because they had a pair of shoes I really wanted for a great price. The seller never even bothered to ship it out, and I had to file for a refund. I can't believe this company can even stay in business with service like this. Never again!
This website is a joke. Someone halfway across the country fraudulently purchased something in my name with my linked payment method. I've contacted poshmark multiple times and have heard nothing. Thank goodness my bank stopped the payment. Then because I reported the purchase- my account gets terminated and I can't contact the seller! Wtf! Find your used clothes and accessories elsewhere.
I updated my Poshmark app because I was unable to get my newsfeed which is crucial. After updating the app, I was able to get my newsfeed and then 3613 listings disappeared. My closet shows that I have 3613 listings however my listings have completely disappeared. After cancer forced me into retirement, this is my means of support and now I cannot work because my listings are all gone. Poshmark does not have a human being or a phone number and when you contact them they send you an automated message. This is absolutely insane.
I'll start by saying, I buy real Chanel all the time. I will go on Poshmark to look for vintage or things for my daughters. This week I ordered 6 things all suppose to be Chanel so far received 5 items and 3 maybe 4 are fakes. Including items supposed to be reviewed at PMHQ. You could look at the tag for two seconds and see it's a fake. The front of the tags look pretty good, enough for me to buy them. The back of the tags is the give away they are fake. Who is authenticating these items? My advice ask to see pictures of both sides of the tags, close up photo of the buttons. Check stitching! Because I just paid 850.00 for a cashmere sweater that probably worth less then $100.00. It's my fault for not doing a better job reviewing the items. I trusted the PMHQ would be legitimate. Buyer please be ware! I'm going to make a YouTube Video of all the real Chanel in my closet and share to help future buyers... determine real or fake
I made a purchase for a jersey. The item received was for a Duke jersey and did not match the description listed for the item. It was the wrong jersey entirely. When I requested a return, in accordance with their policy, they said that I should have asked more questions and I should donate the item or sell it on my own. This site is a rip off and they don't even follow their own policies.
One thing I would definitely suggest before buying anything on Poshmark is to do an item search for the particular item you were looking to buy and see how many transactions it has had. For instance there are people on Poshmark who buy shoes wear them then sell them again on Poshmark as if they are the original owners They have all of the required documents because they were giving to them from the original owner. Luckily Poshmark stores all of his transactions on the website So just do some research on the item and see how many people it actually went through and used/worn the item you would be surprised. As for me I don't particularly want to buy a pair of third, fourth (etc) hand clothing especially shoes which are germy.
I did not receive the item purchased from Poshmark Canada and reached out to the Poshmark customer service via email (*******@poshmark.com). Over a period of almost 4 weeks we communicated back and forth, where they had asked me to reach out to my mail carrier (Canada Post) and file a complaint and get back to them, which I did and then was told they would settle my account in less than two weeks.
When I hadn't heard back from them, I emailed them and I got a reply (phot attached) that read "Hi there, thanks for following up. Unfortunately, we could not obtain any additional information to signify that this package was not correctly delivered. Please note that Poshmark is not responsible to orders that have been lost or stolen after USPS marks a package as delivered. If you suspect that your package has been stolen we suggest that you file a claim with your homeowners insurance, they should be able to cover you in these types of situations. You are able to file a police report with your local police department. Once an officer has been assigned to your case please have them contact us directly at *******@poshmark.com and we will be able to further assist them. Thank you for your patience and understanding".
For one: USPS was not the carrier.
For two: NO retailer ever has asked police to intervene nor do I think an officer would reach out to Poshmark.
And three: It's fraudulent to claim something under my home insurance for an item I never received. This is a heads up for anyone who is thinking about using Poshmark as a buyer or seller. I had a 5-star seller rating from multiple buyers and had no issues as a user until I didn't receive my purchase - and as you can see they acted outside of any laws or regulations set out for them to adhere to. DO NOT use this company as they take 20% of your sale, collect overpriced shipping costs, ask for ID that is not verified as safe to provide (i. E.: there is nothing to verify that they do not share your identification with a third party) and if you order something and it is not received (as in my case) and/or is fake you are likely to get the same response from their "stellar" customer service.
Poshmark claims that they can authenticate designer items however they no nothing about how to to this! They say if you are selling a designer item you need to have the original receipt. Who keeps receipts for used items like shoes and necklaces? And people post fake ones. I think an professional site who knows designer items would be able to tell by looking at the item if it is real or not. Not if a person has a receipt. Fake items are sold constantly on Postmark and the site is more like a thrift store app. I thought I could trust their authenticity promise but ended up with a fake. They said they was nothing the could do Even with written proof on the letter head of the company.
It has a very trashy and teeny bopper type feel to the site and is not a safe place to conduct professional business. Also you constantly get spammed on this site.
Answer: You've got to be smart about shopping online these days. There are scammers wherever you go. That said, if you follow the guidelines and steer clear from trading, which most sites don't condone, then you'll be fine. I've purchased over 100+ items on poshmark and have sold over 90+ with complete success, with the exception of the one time I decided to trade... I've purchased low prices items before and received junk a couple times, but Poshmark ALWAYS refunded me! Maybe I'm super savvy, so here's what I always do: 1. Always checkout the seller's reviews. 2. Always ask if there are any flaws with used items. 3. Always ask if sizing is TTS: "true to size" 4. And most importantly, always ask if it's authentic (unless otherwise specified in the description) These 4 questions have always led me to receiving exactly what I wanted and at half the retail price! Plus, it's so much fun! I've made a considerable amount of income from it, while also adding a nice set of items to my own closet! Good luck out there!
Answer: I have received every item I have ever bought on poshmark. It arrived on time and was in the exact condtion as was promised and how it appeared in the pics.
Answer: Well yes she received the boots and probably didnt like them or they didnt fit etc. she is trying to get her money back by trying to re sell them for 70.00 however she would only get 56.00
Answer: It took a long time, but today Poshmark said they refunded the entire purchase amount plus shipping because the booties I ordered were misrepresented. It took About a month and a half. Two times they offered me small credits toward another Poshmark purchase. I filed a very well documented (12 pages of emails, screen shots of the ad and screen shots of dialogue between me and the seller, Kimology) fraud claim with my credit card company, and I emailed Poshmark's customer service to advise them. Two days later they told me they were refunding my money. We'll see if that happens. Poshmark's customer service is terrible, but persistence paid off. Best of luck to you!
Answer: Ask probing questions: non-smoker? Ever been dry cleaned? How worn is it? Cats? Etc
Answer: I have the total opposite reaction to this question. This mystery group that decides what the outcome will be is ridiculous. You can't talk to anyone, and my last attempt to get support through emails, took one month! Not a fan of learning who the good sellers are by trial and error...
Answer: She probably stalked the other seller's listing and found you commented on the item you purchased. So technically, yes they can see what you buy as long as you commented something on the purchased listing.
Answer: Be careful on posh because they do not have your back. There is a lot of scandalous people on posh. Be careful on ebay as well. I bought a Michael Kors set on ebay that was listed as excellent condition but it was stained and reeked of cigarette smoke. Ebay did not refund my money. They said since it wasn't listed as brand new with tags I was screwed. I was out $315. Who wants a handbag and wallet that smells like shit? I think twice before buying on Ebay since that experience. Shame on the dishonest seller and Ebay for allowing that behavior. Good Luck!
Answer: Have you sent an email to Poshmark support? I have before and they did respond
Answer: You unfortunately cannot return an item if it doesn't fit. It's best to ask the seller the measurements of the item, if they tell you the wrong measurements you can return it. If they will not give you the measurements then don't buy from them. I'm new to selling on Poshmark and I will allow people to return their items if they don't fit because I believe that's what's right, you will find other good sellers!
