I've only sold 2 items on Poshmark. First a Gucci belt and that transaction went great. The other day had a lady offer me a lowball offer in a kids Gucci shirt. I ignored the offer and she continued to purchase anyway. Needless to say as soon as the shirt was delivered she sent some half butt pictures saying that there was no shirt and only 2 envelopes inside. So now I have a claim against me saying she never received item and I'm not even sure I'm going to get my money now. So just to let you know you can sell something and all anyone has to do is send a picture of the package and say they didn't get it and your screwed! Glad it wasn't one of my Chanel bags I would be FURIOUS! STAY AWAY!
I tried to sell some Fabulous Costume jewelry on PoshMark. Total disappointment. I kept getting emails saying this person and that person likes my jewelry but no one was buying. This went on for weeks. I don't have time to chat like I am on Facebook. I just wan to sell the items. I have to cancel my account. I took my jewelry to a consignment shop about 15 minutes away and sold them all that day. I would not recommend Poshmark to my worst enemy. It is a social page and all they want you to do is chat back and forth or buy other people's stuff when you are trying to sell your own. Just go to a local consignment shop in your neighborhood and get paid paid right there.
I do not leave reviews but this time I am mad. The customer service and policies are TERRIBLE! Twice I have ordered from two different sellers. Both times the item never ships and after 7 days they say you can request your money back. I did not ask for my money back because I wanted the items. Both times after a few more days I was told the seller no longer had the item so they would refund my money and it can take 14 days to get it back. Just because you buy something does not mean you will get it. The seller is allowed to just not send you item and you can do nothing to get what you have paid money for. Just don't do it. Use any other site but not this one!
Wouldn't recommend. I sent items & they were damaged enroute. The seller ends up
With the poor reviews. Not worth it.
I saw a pic of a pair of boots and when I got them they are worn out! This is nothing more than a scam I wouldn't give these boots away!
I thought I got a good deal for a 10 piece set of SK ll face mask. Seller not showing any sign of shipping out the item. End up canceling the order. Got an email saying I will received my refund. So far I haven't got any refund yet. Do not believe any of the so call good deal on their site. Is properly bogus..
Poshmark is a scam. They always take the side of the seller. Sellers advertise bundles and discounts but don't follow through on them. They charge you full price and the buyer has no recourse. Avoid Poshmark and its con artists sellers. Customer service is a joke. They ignore you and don't respond to emails or complaints. Once you order something you are stuck with it. The sellers are bullies and harass the buyers. Avoid Poshmark and its sellers. Buyer Beware. Check out all the negative reviews of Poshmark on the web. More cons than pros. FRAUD, FRAUD, FRAUD. They should call themselves - FRAUDMARK.
Here are 10 Reasons that you should consider before selling on Poshmark. 1) Scammers are allowed to use the Poshmark site. 2) I had an offer cancelled 4 times. 3) Buyers want designer goods for nothing. 4) Poshmark users send why too many messages and expect an immediate response 24 X 7.5) Authentic designer purses are suspected to be counterfeit. 5) The Poshmark app and site can be cumbersome to use for new sellers. 6) Poshmark may be good for buyers wanting deals, but not for sellers due to the 20% commission. 7) Orders must be shipped to a buyer within 2 days. 8) Poshmark recommends that sellers package items like a high-end boutique store. 9) Besides the 20% commission, Poshmark wants sellers to offer price reductions and bundles. 10) Customer service doesn't respond in a timely manner.
I would recommend looking into all types of consignment before jumping into poshmark. It has horrible customer service and I have recieved 3 items that were stained which was gross and wrong size. As a buyer I would do better driving to a consignment where I can see the product. As a seller no one wants to pay the price they keep bidding lower and honestly if I sell in a consignment shop I make more. I think poshmark is a bad business.
This company lies so much when you TRY to return a defective item. All the negative feedback on them is that they always side with the sellers no matter what. Just what we need more rip offs!
I bought a pair of Dansko boots and they arrived with one of the sewn-in signature footbeds missing. That's a huge deal because that's what makes them comfort boots. There was no mention of that in the description and I never would have bought them if I'd known. But they wouldn't allow me to return them!
Thoroughly pleased with purchase. Fast Delivery. Wonderful little thank you note! Perfect Fit and color is to die for.
Had to do a chargeback on my credit card. They stopped haven't replied. Avoid if possible. Must go thru them to get to the seller.
I bought a pair of boots on Poshmark. They came in and they were torn up. I tried to open a case, but wasn't able to on the app or website. I emailed poshmark support, they responded, but didn't help whatsoever. I emailed them back, and once I got a response the return policy (which is 3 days) expired. They didn't answer any of the emails I sent with in those three days. I eventually got an email back saying I didn't start the case in the required time and was "given" a $34 inconvenience credit. Still haven't received the credit or any other email. Very rude and inconsiderate when the shoes were not as described and they ignored me so they wouldn't have to do anything. Absolutely rude customer service. Do not use this app. Use a different thrifting app. Poshmark doesn't care about the customers. They just want the shipping fee they take from you.
I will never entertain this site ever again! I will be closing my account... Someone decided to create an App to sucker us shopaholics to buy and sell on their site with a 20% fee. The creators intentionally not post a phone number, therefore you have to reach out to them by email which takes forever. When they do take a break from their lavish lifestyle after spending our money they half $#*! the resolution. I have been trying to redeem my cash to no avail. Lesson leaned! How can you run a business of such magnitude without phone contact with customers. NEVER AGAIN! If you don't have a phone line to reach you or name of a CEO posted somewhere you will not get my business, PERIODT! I will continue to donate my things to the needy, I need to clean out my karma bank anyways :) Not worth my time. Poshmark is a scam.
I ordered shoes and, after a week, they still had not shipped. I sent a message to the seller (the only way that I saw to do it which was add to a stream of praises) and instead of replying, she blocked me and canceled my order. DO NOT USE THIS SITE! It is a shame, because there may be some legitimate sellers and good stuff.
Made quite a few purchases on the site by tapping " buy now" then all of a sudden had to down the app or postmark ios to purchase. Can't my Kindle won't allow it. Wrote several emails and was told in one to "just use the web". Still can't make purchases and company has done nothing to remedy the issue.
Not sure what all the 1 star reviews are about.
I started out using Poshmark to sell some designer items. I really didn't like it and preferred Tradesy as there were less lowballers on Tradesy and I was able to upload nicer photos on that platform. Not to mention you are unable to view/give feedback to buyers. One thing I will say is that despite the abundance of lowballers, Poshmark doesn't hold your money hostage (unlike Tradesy) and payment is pretty straightforward.
Lately I've been using Poshmark to buy gently used clothing. I personally haven't sent any offers to sellers but I've been able to score some really good deals on high end and designer clothing. The prices are sometimes better than TheRealReal and eBay! A lot of the people there are just desperate to sell things from their closets and all my sellers have been professional and helpful.
I still prefer eBay but I'm slowly warming up to Poshmark.
Bought a white jacket from Poshmark. It was filthy when I received it, stains on the collar and sleeves, obvious wear on the inside of the jacket, hair under the buttons, snags in the material, stains on the sleeves, all of which was not disclosed in the sellers pics or ad. I filed a claim and Poshmark ruled against me because I altered the item before I made the claim(washed the item trying to get the stains out). $81 for a jacket I can't wear
I was a buyer. My first few purchases were smooth. My last two, not so much. Since when do you pay for something, dont recieve it. Then find out the SELLER CHANGED THEIR MIND? Ridiculous way to do business. Plus you can leave negative feedback, but it gets deleted so protect the seller and the website. DONT BUY HERE!
Answer: You've got to be smart about shopping online these days. There are scammers wherever you go. That said, if you follow the guidelines and steer clear from trading, which most sites don't condone, then you'll be fine. I've purchased over 100+ items on poshmark and have sold over 90+ with complete success, with the exception of the one time I decided to trade... I've purchased low prices items before and received junk a couple times, but Poshmark ALWAYS refunded me! Maybe I'm super savvy, so here's what I always do: 1. Always checkout the seller's reviews. 2. Always ask if there are any flaws with used items. 3. Always ask if sizing is TTS: "true to size" 4. And most importantly, always ask if it's authentic (unless otherwise specified in the description) These 4 questions have always led me to receiving exactly what I wanted and at half the retail price! Plus, it's so much fun! I've made a considerable amount of income from it, while also adding a nice set of items to my own closet! Good luck out there!
Answer: I have received every item I have ever bought on poshmark. It arrived on time and was in the exact condtion as was promised and how it appeared in the pics.
Answer: Well yes she received the boots and probably didnt like them or they didnt fit etc. she is trying to get her money back by trying to re sell them for 70.00 however she would only get 56.00
Answer: It took a long time, but today Poshmark said they refunded the entire purchase amount plus shipping because the booties I ordered were misrepresented. It took About a month and a half. Two times they offered me small credits toward another Poshmark purchase. I filed a very well documented (12 pages of emails, screen shots of the ad and screen shots of dialogue between me and the seller, Kimology) fraud claim with my credit card company, and I emailed Poshmark's customer service to advise them. Two days later they told me they were refunding my money. We'll see if that happens. Poshmark's customer service is terrible, but persistence paid off. Best of luck to you!
Answer: Ask probing questions: non-smoker? Ever been dry cleaned? How worn is it? Cats? Etc
Answer: I have the total opposite reaction to this question. This mystery group that decides what the outcome will be is ridiculous. You can't talk to anyone, and my last attempt to get support through emails, took one month! Not a fan of learning who the good sellers are by trial and error...
Answer: She probably stalked the other seller's listing and found you commented on the item you purchased. So technically, yes they can see what you buy as long as you commented something on the purchased listing.
Answer: Be careful on posh because they do not have your back. There is a lot of scandalous people on posh. Be careful on ebay as well. I bought a Michael Kors set on ebay that was listed as excellent condition but it was stained and reeked of cigarette smoke. Ebay did not refund my money. They said since it wasn't listed as brand new with tags I was screwed. I was out $315. Who wants a handbag and wallet that smells like shit? I think twice before buying on Ebay since that experience. Shame on the dishonest seller and Ebay for allowing that behavior. Good Luck!
Answer: Have you sent an email to Poshmark support? I have before and they did respond
Answer: You unfortunately cannot return an item if it doesn't fit. It's best to ask the seller the measurements of the item, if they tell you the wrong measurements you can return it. If they will not give you the measurements then don't buy from them. I'm new to selling on Poshmark and I will allow people to return their items if they don't fit because I believe that's what's right, you will find other good sellers!
