$#*!ty customer service
February 27, 2020

If you are buying items from Poshmark, you are on your own as there is no customer service to look into if you received a damaged item. Your money is gone if you failed to report the damaged item in 2 days. This policy is beyond horrible and it is put in place so sellers can sell flawed items and if the buyer is not quick enough to report, poshmark will make money out of it. They charge $7.11 for shipping? This should go down, poorly run business

Terrible company
February 26, 2020

I am a seller on Poshmark and when I tell you about what they did you will be SHOCKED. I provided them with my banking information so that can wire me my money. I have done this many times before with other companies and have NEVER had an issue. Turns out they routed the money to someone else's account then claimed that I provided them with that account. I called my bank and they verified that the other account does not belong to me. My bank isn't able to do anything because the other account is active and the person obviously isn't going to claim that the money isn't theirs. Poshmark responded to me by saying that there isn't anything they can do so I should contact my bank. Basically no one wants to take responsibility for what has occurred and it is so unfortunate that I can't hold anyone liable for this mistake. I've decided to put this out into the internet and I'll be posting this everywhere I can because this is the only way I can let other people know to be careful with them! Their customer service is terrible, they take days to respond and are not helpful whatsoever!

Well I just joined and made my first purchase. I couldn't help but buy these shoes, it was love at first sight. I'm so excited they shipped today. Just look at them and tell me they don't look awesome! Ok enough showing off.
I had watched many videos and read bad and good reviews after I made my purchase so I'm a bit weary they may not be perfect but hey its not a bad way to clean out your closet and just like Ebay make sure the seller is legit!

Poshmark has not been worth my time and effort, as a seller. They think they can run a market site like a social media platform, and the idea fails miserably. It's a high-school like atmosphere where sellers sabotage each other by stalking their rivals' listings and falsely reporting them as counterfeit. Poshmark doesn't even review items reported as counterfeit themselves. They send pictures out to random people on the app and ask them if they think it's counterfeit. How are random people supposed to know what a counterfeit luxury item looks like? Meanwhile, actual counterfeits run rampant and are not reported because counterfeiters know how to make professional looking listings that will fool most users. When you send an item over $500 to Poshmark to be authenticated by employees, you may still have a problem, as they have been known to claim that genuine items, with receipts and documentation, are counterfeit. Then they refuse to send them back to you; essentially stealing your genuine items. I sold luxury items on Poshmark and I think the luxury market is where their biggest problem is. The site is absolutely overrun by people reselling used makeup and cheap clothes from thrift store bins, who mistag their items with expensive brand names. So if you search a certain item, chances are it will be buried under a mountain of things you have absolutely no interest in. If you do find a listing for the item you want, good luck, it's likely a counterfeit that flew under the radar with minimal effort. For sellers, I would recommend extreme caution. Poshmark buyers have been known to buy an item, wear it for one event, and then stain or even destroy it so they can file a return. In many cases they will send you back a counterfeit dupe of the item you sold them. Scammers gravitate to Poshmark over other platforms because they don't face any consequences. Poshmark will take their side regardless of the evidence presented, hanging honest sellers out to dry. I have never had issues like these on any other luxury resale platform.

Lack of sales
February 21, 2020

I was a seller & purchaser on Poshmark. Unless you have coveted, trendy or designer items don't expect to make much. Originally $65 VSX never worn knockout tights & sports bras with tags listed for $15... lots of likes no sales. Alex & Ani bracelets listed for $5/ no sales. Many of items like that. Only made 3 sales in almost a year & I was lowballed on 2. By the time posh took their commission I barely made anything. And Poshmark kept sending me a barrage of emails to lower prices! Geez I'm practically giving the stuff away now. Just not worth the time. The few sales I did make there were no problems.
As a buyer I had two sellers just never ship or respond to inquiries & order just cancelled. You'd think Poshmark would keep Sellers to standards. A few things I bought were shipped promptly & had no issues. Shipping Cost was way to high for some items. I passed over the items cause shipping jacked up the price.

Followed all the rules for my Louis Vuitton Pallas BB. It was selling for about a week before I had a purchase. Went straight to the Post Office to wrap it and send it for the buyer to receive quickly.
A few hours after the buyer said they hit buy accidentally (which is impossible because you have to hit buy on two different screens and enter your payment info)
Then she said she would keep the purse if I would give to her for 1200 instead of the sale price of 1600, which is already below the 2300 I paid.
I said no, and then she said well the zipper is messed up (which it was not) and that she would be returning the purse.
Eight days later I have no money and no purse and posh customer support has not responded to any of my ten messages.
I'm going to take this to arbitration to get my money back.
Horrible don't use it

I order 3 hand bags totalling $1300, seller sent them to Poshmark for authentication and then they sent them regular mail! This lead the postal carrier to leave them on my door step! Poshmark has hasn't replied to my countless emails and that is the only way to contact them! They are HORRIBLE! Three weeks in and no bags, a $1300 credit card charge and not a single reply from customer service!

The short story is that I rarely use a credit card online. Just don't like it. I needed to purchase some clothes and so had to give Poshmark my credit card. I remember thinking that this site probably doesn't have the security necessary to keep card info secure. I was right. Just had 6 charges on my credit card -- a card that I haven't used for some time.

Also, I ordered some shoes from a seller. Shoes looked new. I literally put the shoes on in my car and walked across a parking lot and they were destroyed and coming apart -- totally unwearable. BUYERS BEWARE.

Imagine this, you're trying to find a nice slightly used or new version of a Chanel clutch/wallet for your special someone. But every time you try to buy it on Poshmark, the seller refuses to complete the sale or they try to sell you a fake. Then on top of it, customer service does nothing about it and offers you a laughable $5 credit for your troubles that you actually never receive! Welcome to Poshmark. Happy shopping in Hell!

Buy at your own Risk!
February 14, 2020

Posh Mark is a go between the seller and you, I recently ordered an item and they said shipping would be 5 to 7 days, I responded 12 days later because I did not receive my item and I got an email saying they tried to contact the seller but the seller doesn't respond and I can cancel my order and then they tell me that it could be 15 business days till I see my money again, I highly recommend you shop somewhere else!

HIGH SHIPPING COST!
February 13, 2020

Unfortunately even though I buy a super light top, I will be paying $7,11. Today I wanted to buy 3 items from 3 different sellers, so only with shipping I would be spend $21,33! They were 3 super light items!
I don't think it's fair how they charge anything as the same cost of $7,11

Recently I purchased an "Authentic GUCCI" purse from Posh, the item was described as new and Authentic, this purse, to be exact was over $1,000.00. I felt confident when purchasing this item because of the "FREE AUTHENTICATION" upon receiving this item i noticed many flaws on this item that immediately raised many red flags! For example, the chain was damaged and it felt like plastic, the purse had smeared glue in different areas of the purse; the leather (which I had never seen) was chipped, meaning it was the leather was peeling. This item had so many flaws that it was obvious this item was a dupe. Thankfully I was able to get a full refund for the item because of the un-descried flaws of the purse, and being marketed as new and authentic. Now my biggest issue is that how in the world poshmark authenticated this item as when it was very, very obvious that it was a dupe. Luckily was able to get a full refund! Please beware and try to say away from buying high end items on this site.

No protection for buyers
February 12, 2020

My problem with the app is that since they don't allow returns for buyers remorse or fit, some buyers are destroying items and stating that the item was sent to them like that & therefore was misrepresented in order to get their money back.

Not worth it AT ALL
February 12, 2020

I have shopped online for many years. There is no way to please everyone, I get that. PM does not provide any way to DM a seller. My most recent purchase arrived soiled. I contacted PM after thoroughly searching the site for a way to just contact the seller. I initiated a "case" & was denied the next day. The seller responded to my comment on the item, telling me that she'd do nothing since I did not contact her first.
I have since contacted paypal & will likely wait another 2 weeks before I see if I've simply lost close to $60.
I have had good luck up to now. Folks, these jeans were messed, dried, shipped off to me. They stank up my clean, 3 car garage-AFTER I'd laundered them & sanitized them! PM denied my claim straight off, using the "not in the same condition in which received" line. I hung them to dry. They looked decent upon arrival, just stunk to high heaven.
Once my claim with paypal is resolved, I will not longer shop Poshmark.

Poor customer service
February 12, 2020

I agree with the posts that the customer service is poor. You cannot talk to a person directly, you have to send them emails which they don't answer. If something gets lost in the mail good luck to you. I have been using Poshmark for my business but am having second thoughts because of the poor service. Poshmark, Shape up!

I started using Poshmark this year and I am not impressed. First, the customer service is horrible. Second, you have some not so good Poshers that send bad merchandise, take several days to ship items that were purchased, and don't accept items that were shipped. It is a 50/50 chance when buying and selling from this platform with no support. The app needs some improvements also. The policies are not fair, for instance if someone doesn't ship in 3-5 days you have to wait until day 7 to cancel the order. But lastly, this company is money hungry. It charges 20% of sells over $20. Other platforms are less. The shipping isn't fair because something that would take a stamp like a pin for instance you would be charged $7.11 for shipping. The shipping costs have prevented me from purchasing. I think I will close my closet and donate my goods.

First they give you three days (72 hrs) from posted receipt or seller gets your money and you have no recourse, then they say 24 hours for support to respond. Don't wait for them to decline you, get recourse from your credit card or Paypal. No phone support. The place is a scammer's hangout.
