After 5 days of waiting for my paid for handbag to ship and leaving the seller a comment politely asking when the item would ship, with no response, I get an email from Poshmark saying the seller cancelled the order because she changed her mind. This seller DESERVES negative feedback because she was on her Poshmark account 4 different times during these 5 days and not once did she have the decency to let me know she'd changed her mind about the sale. Unfortunately, there's NO WAY to leave negative feedback for sellers in order to warn other potential buyers about them. I'm going back to buying from Ebay and Etsy where the sellers have reviews. Poshmark stinks and I just deleted my account!
I am NOT happy with Poshmark. I purchased a handbag from a seller who stated in her "About" page that she usually shipped within 1 day. As Monday was a holiday, the bag should have shipped on Tuesday. It's still listed as "Awaiting Shipment" 2 days later. According to her seller's page, she has checked in 3 times on Poshmark since I purchased the bag, so she obviously knows it was sold. There's no way to contact her privately, so I had to leave the question of when she's shipping the bag on the comments section of the sale. I have no idea why she'd check the comments on an item that's already sold. This is ridiculous that you can't contact the seller like you can on eBay. This will be my LAST purchase on Poshmark too!
Fakes and scammers are rampant. There is so much counterfeit make-up, perfume, luxury goods and jewelry on here its not really good for anything but buying secondhand clothes. Poshmark doesnt really care or offer buyers any support when they are duped. Ebay is way better. This ring was sold to me as 14k set with a semi precious stone. The stamp on the ring says silver and the stone is plastic, because I missed their 3 day window, I was stuck with it, even when the seller offered to take it back. Poshmark ignored my request for help. Buyer beware.
POSHMARK, WAS SEND A ITEM, NOT CLEAN, AND FILLING IN JACKET, WAS ALL BALLED UP. NO RESPONSE FROM CO. WHEN I COMPLAINED. STAY CLEAR.
I ordered a pair of J Brand High Waisted Maria jeans on Poshmark. Not only was the tag completely different, but the size was off by about two sizes (probably because they washed the item incorrectly or something because it seemed like it shrunk). I tried to return the jeans and Poshmark customer service sided with the seller.
Now I have a useless pair of jeans that are way too small in the legs. I will not be selling them on Poshmark.
My mom purchased me $1000 Louis Vuitton purse for Christmas. The purse was a joke and nothing like the seller described. Poshmark says a seller is suppose to disclose any defects as best as possible with their listings. This seller sold off this bag as if it were in mint condition. The bag had tears in the corners and their description of a one of a kind "vintage bag" had stars glued on and outlined in permanent marker. Poshmark claims to authenticate any bags over $500 and their authentication process is a joke! They send you a small postcard with some random person's initials on it saying Congrats its been authenticated. Trying so hard to at least get a credit in the amount of what I paid for to use on their website since they will no longer issue me a refund. The best they were willing to do was $125! I am sick to my stomach. With all of the scam artist out there please don't waste your hard earned money taking a gamble on a website like this. Poshmark is not in the business of giving a damn about the products their seller's sell or their consumers. You can't even reach their customer service by phone. That should be your first clue. Tell everyone you know to steer clear of Poshmark. Its a shady business that seems to support scammer's ripping people off!
Had 2 Separate orders cancelled by two separate sellers In less than a week. BOTH items were gifts - BOTH times I waited a week for a refund of the $$$ - and BOTH times I was left scrambling to replace these gifts! I am beyond angry- if sellers are double selling or just cancelling orders for whatever reason they need to be thrown off the site! I've been happily selling on this app for months with no problem (5 star rating) but purchasing has been far from even a decent experience. I plan on telling everyone with a pair of ears how disappointing and ridiculous this experience has been.
I ordered a pair of Ralph Lauren boots, they came with the heel broken and I'm not sure authentic at this point. I emailed a complaint to return for a full refund and they gave me half back on credit. So, I decided to give it another try, so I ordered a jacket that came and I had it one for ONLY 1 HOUR and the whole jacket started to unravel... couldn't believe it! I emailed them right away and they refunded me only the incremental amount paid, not a full refund. I can't believe how terrible this site is. Not sure all the users are real either!
Shopping on poshmark is horrible. The way you have to communicate is awkward. Sellers rarely respond. Often items are sold and never shipped. The format/layout is a pain. Search portion of the site is useless.
I set up my account today to check the site out. I haven't bought anything, sold anything, listed anything or inquired about any item listed. When I tried to delete my account, the site claims I can't until all transactions are finished.
Poshmark does NOT allow returns if you are unhappy with the product. Poshmark believes, that the description is gold. So you need to be sure that the description fits your expectation. Otherwise you are stuck with what you purchased.
Poshmark in my opinion is a bad eCommerce source... and don't buy from "Rare Beauty" as customer satisfaction is not in their vocabulary, it is more about seller's satisfaction, above the buyer. So you better know how the clothing you purchase will fit or feel before you buy. Otherwise you will have buyers remorse and you will be stuck with your purchase!
Bad for buyers - takes forever to resolve a claim and then they often say you took too long. Bad for sellers- they take 20%!
I send my sold Chloe bag to get authentication from poshmark. They told me they can't identify it. And I have to send 20 bucks to them to get it ship back to me or they will get Rid of for me. I am like wtf I feel so stranded with my bag with them when these dumb $#*! can't even Authenticated a real bag.
Very Frustrating when You ASK Questions from a Seller--ONLY To be IGNORED----Items are NOT RETURNABLE--Most Sellers Give very Vague or NO INFO At all--NO Measurements--Often Just using the Word "USED" Inseams are Important--Meas. Of a Handbag Etc---If there Ignoring Your Questions --Most Likely they wont Ship either--So Your Money is Tied UP--I Tell everyone to SHOP Poshmark--They will SAVE MONEY Because they Cant Buy Anything! I ALWAYS End Up Looking for Same Item on a Diff. Site Because of this!
They allow a lister to misrepresent measurements (3" off!) and then refuse to refund the money. I have used
Other resales such as Thread Up and Ebay and this is not in their league. I posted an honest assessment of
Seller and they removed it. I am out purchase price for an item I cannot wear.
If you aren't looking to make a profit and have all the time in the world to continually share your listings, then POSHMARK might be the place for you. First off. They take a whopping 20%. If you don't spend every day sharing your items it's not likely that, you will make many sales. Buyers take advantage of the Poshmark's honor system. Nine out of 10 times Poshmark will side with the buyer... no matter what. It's an energy draining sales podium with little rewards. Save your time as well as, your money.
Customer service sucks, miss posting by sellers with sizes two time no support and will not buy from these idiots again!
Poshmark is a fraudulent, scamming sight I purchase a jacket that I never received. When you contact them you Get an email that returns the same message. Every-time an automated text. No customer service representative. The sellers never return your text. I don't know how they've haven't charged with any crime or how they are still in business. I had one experience. One to many. I lost $258.68. Do not deal with this company. They should have 0 up there one is way to kind
After multiple communications with Poshmark customer service department alerting them of counterfeit/replica/bootleg items for sale on their platform, as well as their users violating copyright infringements (these scammers are dumb enough use the same photos from the Chinese knockoff off site!) they disabled my account! Suspended all listings and sales for me during the holiday season too.
The user selling the reported replica/bootleg/counterfeit items is not only STILL selling them, but she is listed as a "Poshmark Ambassador" which creates a false sense of trust.
If you're curious, I did provide Poshmark with with concrete evidence of the replica and counterfeit items being sold.
Selling replica/counterfeit products is dangerous. Poshmark does make 20% of each sale made by the seller, but at some point the safety of their customers should more important than their profits.
These replica/counterfeit items are sold and shipped directly from companies in countries with little to no safety guidelines who don't follow stringent American regulations. These items are non-returnable and non-refundable within three days of being delivered. Which, is most likely not a long enough time for buyers to realize they've been duped. But don't tell that to customer service, or they'll disable your account.
Not sure why this is acceptable...
However I did give it one star because I have sold a few authentic things on there in the past. They have flat rate shipping up to 5lbs for $6.75 (but totally overpriced if just shipping just jewelry, a shirt, or something Small).
I made a purchase on this site, and it has not been sent to me. There is no phone number to call. You can only e-mail. And then they don't respond/
Meanwhile I am out almost $300, with no way to contact the seller and ask them why they haven't sent my item. Maybe they never had it to begin with.
Do not shop here items misrepresented, trick photography and items are never as good as they appear online. For instance this jacket below was marketed as blue by Kelly W and it's anything but blue. I've held it in several different lights and it's not blue. Also, they don't take returns and the resolution center always sided with seller so if you buy the wrong size you're stuck with that product. I'm going back to Ebay where I know they stand behind their products
Answer: You've got to be smart about shopping online these days. There are scammers wherever you go. That said, if you follow the guidelines and steer clear from trading, which most sites don't condone, then you'll be fine. I've purchased over 100+ items on poshmark and have sold over 90+ with complete success, with the exception of the one time I decided to trade... I've purchased low prices items before and received junk a couple times, but Poshmark ALWAYS refunded me! Maybe I'm super savvy, so here's what I always do: 1. Always checkout the seller's reviews. 2. Always ask if there are any flaws with used items. 3. Always ask if sizing is TTS: "true to size" 4. And most importantly, always ask if it's authentic (unless otherwise specified in the description) These 4 questions have always led me to receiving exactly what I wanted and at half the retail price! Plus, it's so much fun! I've made a considerable amount of income from it, while also adding a nice set of items to my own closet! Good luck out there!
Answer: I have received every item I have ever bought on poshmark. It arrived on time and was in the exact condtion as was promised and how it appeared in the pics.
Answer: Well yes she received the boots and probably didnt like them or they didnt fit etc. she is trying to get her money back by trying to re sell them for 70.00 however she would only get 56.00
Answer: It took a long time, but today Poshmark said they refunded the entire purchase amount plus shipping because the booties I ordered were misrepresented. It took About a month and a half. Two times they offered me small credits toward another Poshmark purchase. I filed a very well documented (12 pages of emails, screen shots of the ad and screen shots of dialogue between me and the seller, Kimology) fraud claim with my credit card company, and I emailed Poshmark's customer service to advise them. Two days later they told me they were refunding my money. We'll see if that happens. Poshmark's customer service is terrible, but persistence paid off. Best of luck to you!
Answer: Ask probing questions: non-smoker? Ever been dry cleaned? How worn is it? Cats? Etc
Answer: I have the total opposite reaction to this question. This mystery group that decides what the outcome will be is ridiculous. You can't talk to anyone, and my last attempt to get support through emails, took one month! Not a fan of learning who the good sellers are by trial and error...
Answer: She probably stalked the other seller's listing and found you commented on the item you purchased. So technically, yes they can see what you buy as long as you commented something on the purchased listing.
Answer: Be careful on posh because they do not have your back. There is a lot of scandalous people on posh. Be careful on ebay as well. I bought a Michael Kors set on ebay that was listed as excellent condition but it was stained and reeked of cigarette smoke. Ebay did not refund my money. They said since it wasn't listed as brand new with tags I was screwed. I was out $315. Who wants a handbag and wallet that smells like shit? I think twice before buying on Ebay since that experience. Shame on the dishonest seller and Ebay for allowing that behavior. Good Luck!
Answer: Have you sent an email to Poshmark support? I have before and they did respond
Answer: You unfortunately cannot return an item if it doesn't fit. It's best to ask the seller the measurements of the item, if they tell you the wrong measurements you can return it. If they will not give you the measurements then don't buy from them. I'm new to selling on Poshmark and I will allow people to return their items if they don't fit because I believe that's what's right, you will find other good sellers!
