I bought a purse that was misrepresented on poshmark, I asked for a refund. They reviewed my case but first offered me a lousy $5 gift certificate if I keep the damaged item. I declined and they approved my case for a total refund. However, they only give you 2 or 3 days to mail it back. Normally that is fine but I work for a living and I get off work when the USPS is closed. They threatened to cancel the approved return and release the money to the seller. T
Poshmark needs to give you a week like ebay does. People work for a living!
Order was sent to wrong address despite not accepting seller still got paid when contacting seller seller blocked me and poshmark did nothing to resolve. Finally called bank and got my money back. Still no response from seller or poshmark. Poor customer service.
I saw this site that advertised the first item $. 99 shipping. I ordered and after 5 days I messaged the seller asking when it would be shipped. The response I got was that the sale had been canceled because the seller no longer had the item. Really? That sounds like a scam to me. We will see if I actually get my refund.
Ok this is my second review about Poshmark.
Look at the advertising in Poshmark made me to think what are we doing?!
The idea was to empty our closet not filling them more with more junks from Alibaba!
Now we are begging to compete with bunch of disposable brands from new comanies in overseas!
I have to write an update to my original review of Poshmark. They have extremely poor business practices. They will keep your Credit Card info even when prompted not to. I made a $24 purchase form a great seller, Poshmark charged a card they were not even supposed to keep on file and cost me over $108 in overdraft fees. I emailed them explaining their mistake and got an insulting email back offering a credit of $6.79 off my next purchase. REALLY!? Account Deleted! Filed with BBB and my states Attorney General.
Do not trust this unprofessional group of idiots and thieves with your money!
BAD POSHMARK, BAD!
First of all - Poshmark takes wayyy too much commission… the shipping is outrageous for 1-3 day priority (there is no guarantee that the seller will even ship within that time frame). Many items will be listed as new and arrive in terrible shape (worn out, dirty, broken clasps, etc) and you CANNOT return them. Also… some sellers will claim authenticity and then send you a completely different item. Customer service does NOT investigate and the sellers are always argumentative.
I used to sell a lot on the app and would frequently purchase random, hard to find items no longer in stores. I no longer sell ANYTHING and RARELY make any purchases any longer.
The market is SO oversaturated now as well, it's almost impossible to sell anything in late 2023. I think it's hilarious… I just literally saw a commercial for Poshmark stating how "fabulous" buying and selling on the platform can be. It made me chuckle.
Sell your items elsewhere! Buyer beware!
This website should be renamed Buyer Beware. Luckily I only made a small purchase -- what was supposed to be a size XS Madewell tank dress. What could go wrong? The dress was shrunk so it was so tight in the chest that it is unwearable. Poshmark's response was that there are no returns if something doesn't fit. This was a case of the item being damaged. I feel luckily that this is all I bought. Most of the Poshmark reviews are bad. Only sellers like it because there are no returns so they can pass along all their bad buys, ruined items and junk to unwary buyers. It doesn't get any worse for buyers so just don't be tempted and take the risk.
I was charged for a purchase that never arrived. Customer service was supposed to send it with insurance and tracking. They gave a tracking number and said "it was delivered to you". They wont even send me proof of their mailing receipt and insurance with USPS so I can file a proper claim. They just say it must have been stolen. The usps says it was delivered to the front desk/reception area and signed for yet that sounds like a business and I'm a residence. They won't show me proof of who signed and wont help me make claims to USPS. I'm basically on my own. What a waste. That can be a total scam to take your money and say it was sent, we have proof of delivery (yet they dont show their proof). Crazy!
Sold a necklace, the buyer decided they didn't like it and Poshmark allowed the return. I was OK with that, but when I received the returned necklace the buyer had broken the necklace and stole the cloth bag sold in, Poshmark just said Oh well! I immediately froze my account and will sell elsewhere, or give the items to charity. It is too easy to be ripped off on this site as a seller. They also post fake followers to accounts. They have me following over 100 people or accounts, I wasn't following anyone. Very fake and strange.
I sold brand new 100% authentic brand name bag for $300.
This is a typical switch scam but Poshmark let her won this case. I can' t believe it.
Buyer opened a case saying this is fake, posting a photo of her fake bag, which is NOT I sent.
I did provide a receipt from nordstrom. Still, Poshmark let her win a case.
She will put a fake bag to me for return or she won't even return anything.
She kept a band new brand name bag for free.
I want my money back!
Watch out for this lady with multiple accounts! She mails fraudulent checks from Maine from a company in Texas(check looks legit) but when trying to deposit or cash... check is No Good due to it being Fraudulent and/or Fictious(AKA she is printing fake checks). Stay Away! If I could give Negative 10 for this site I would!
All I can say is be very, very careful shopping on Poshmark. I personally would never buy anything expensive on this site. They do not accept returns, so if the clothing you bought doesn't fit or doesn't look right on you, you cannot return it and get your money back. This site is full of scammers. The majority of these sellers bought their inventory of used clothing at thrift stores for a few dollars and have now marked it way up to make a profit. Yes, you could have gone to a thrift store yourself and bought the item for a few dollars, as opposed to spending a lot more money on Poshmark. The sellers are taking advantage of the public's laziness and the convenience of getting an item delivered to your front door as opposed to going to a brick and mortar and shopping for an item yourself.
Poshmark charges more than Mercari and you can sell more than female clothing on Merc. The customer service for Poshmark is beyond low class. They are scammers and con artists. Mercari app is a million times better.
I bought an item that was described as the wrong size.
I submitted pictures and emails to poshmark and the seller
Poshmark said they will do nothing.
Seller did not respond.
Be aware poshmark is a scam. I will be posting this on all social media to make buyers aware.
Item was descibed as 7 1/2
Item was actually 7 1/8
Pictures are attached
I have bought a lot of items from Poshmark. It is really convenient and reliable to buy from the app. Quick shipping and nice packaging. The price was reasonable and much better than retail. I like Poshmark.
Had I seen all the bad reviews before hand I would have steered clear of this site. At this point I wish I had. I bought a north face jacket off the site that was tagged as being in like new condition. This was supposed to be a present for my daughter for Christmas. Why I received was a pair of used sweatpants. I immediately contacted customer service and was assured they'd fix the mix up and I'd get my jacket. That was on 12/17/15. As of this review 12/27/15 I still don't have the jacket and now they refuse to reply to my emails. There is no phone number I've been able to find. This company is a giant scam and should be shut down for defrauding people.
At first, I liked Poshmark and was getting good deals. BUT, when it comes to returns, they are at the bottom of the barrel. You have to go through Poshmark, and NOT the seller for a return and refund. They are terrible at trying to return anything. I couldn't get my money back for three items I purchased through their web-site. I did cancel my account and will stick to buying from 1) Amazon, 2) E-bay, and 3) Overstock.com.
I sold a ring and clearly stated it is 14 K GOLD OVER SILVER. Never told the buyer I was selling a 14 K gold ring. Clearly OVER SILVER means it's painted gold. The buyer doesn't want the item but purchased literally 1 minute of me posting it. They told me my description wasn't clear. What's not clear is how they care about getting their 20% but nothing else. Spam every damn second you post something. They're disgusting and cares nothing about people's items. I let them know clearly, the buyer can keep the item and they can give her money back. I know one thing for sure I'll be gone really soon. Ridiculous. Just don't waste my time!
I ordered and paid for a pair of boots from a Poshmark "posher" (someone who has a "closet" on Poshmark). That was on Oct 26. Today, 19 days later, I still have no boots. After multiple messages to the seller (you cannot direct email them, just leave a message on their page) and multiple emails to Poshmark, I finally canceled the order. Poshmark did not want to help me get the product I had paid for, but asked me to contact the seller on the Poshmark page. Well, you can guess how that worked out. If she would ship the boots, what made them think she would answer a message? I found the boots, brand new and not used, for a lower price on another site. I won't be going back to Poshmark.
DON'T DO IT! Their customer service is quick to respond, however, refunds- even for defective merchandise - are provided in POSHMARK credits. There are many reputable companies out there - this is not one of them. I won't be back.
Answer: You've got to be smart about shopping online these days. There are scammers wherever you go. That said, if you follow the guidelines and steer clear from trading, which most sites don't condone, then you'll be fine. I've purchased over 100+ items on poshmark and have sold over 90+ with complete success, with the exception of the one time I decided to trade... I've purchased low prices items before and received junk a couple times, but Poshmark ALWAYS refunded me! Maybe I'm super savvy, so here's what I always do: 1. Always checkout the seller's reviews. 2. Always ask if there are any flaws with used items. 3. Always ask if sizing is TTS: "true to size" 4. And most importantly, always ask if it's authentic (unless otherwise specified in the description) These 4 questions have always led me to receiving exactly what I wanted and at half the retail price! Plus, it's so much fun! I've made a considerable amount of income from it, while also adding a nice set of items to my own closet! Good luck out there!
Answer: I have received every item I have ever bought on poshmark. It arrived on time and was in the exact condtion as was promised and how it appeared in the pics.
Answer: Well yes she received the boots and probably didnt like them or they didnt fit etc. she is trying to get her money back by trying to re sell them for 70.00 however she would only get 56.00
Answer: It took a long time, but today Poshmark said they refunded the entire purchase amount plus shipping because the booties I ordered were misrepresented. It took About a month and a half. Two times they offered me small credits toward another Poshmark purchase. I filed a very well documented (12 pages of emails, screen shots of the ad and screen shots of dialogue between me and the seller, Kimology) fraud claim with my credit card company, and I emailed Poshmark's customer service to advise them. Two days later they told me they were refunding my money. We'll see if that happens. Poshmark's customer service is terrible, but persistence paid off. Best of luck to you!
Answer: Ask probing questions: non-smoker? Ever been dry cleaned? How worn is it? Cats? Etc
Answer: I have the total opposite reaction to this question. This mystery group that decides what the outcome will be is ridiculous. You can't talk to anyone, and my last attempt to get support through emails, took one month! Not a fan of learning who the good sellers are by trial and error...
Answer: She probably stalked the other seller's listing and found you commented on the item you purchased. So technically, yes they can see what you buy as long as you commented something on the purchased listing.
Answer: Be careful on posh because they do not have your back. There is a lot of scandalous people on posh. Be careful on ebay as well. I bought a Michael Kors set on ebay that was listed as excellent condition but it was stained and reeked of cigarette smoke. Ebay did not refund my money. They said since it wasn't listed as brand new with tags I was screwed. I was out $315. Who wants a handbag and wallet that smells like shit? I think twice before buying on Ebay since that experience. Shame on the dishonest seller and Ebay for allowing that behavior. Good Luck!
Answer: Have you sent an email to Poshmark support? I have before and they did respond
Answer: You unfortunately cannot return an item if it doesn't fit. It's best to ask the seller the measurements of the item, if they tell you the wrong measurements you can return it. If they will not give you the measurements then don't buy from them. I'm new to selling on Poshmark and I will allow people to return their items if they don't fit because I believe that's what's right, you will find other good sellers!
