Terrible organization
November 20, 2020

I purchased a sport coat which did not fit. The size was a 43 long which is my normal size. I tried to return the item. After sending in a request I was told two days later that I needed to include the order number. Get this, the order number was 24 digits long. After I found the order number I returned the information. I was then told the request had to be made within three days. Also, the return did not qualify because there was nothing wrong with the product

Flaky sellers
November 13, 2020

First time using Poshmark. Made two purchases. First buyer didn't even know she'd made a sale. Had to message her twice. Second purchase, seller hasn't shipped and doesn't respond to messages. Won't be using this website again. Too much hassle. EBay got it right so why can't they?

Posh probs
November 11, 2020

Poshmark has the worst technical problems. All the time listings disappear, contact customer service no reply until 24 hrs later if lucky, then they claim something triggered their automated system, and they do restore the listings immediately. There seems to be a LOT of females on this sight who troll and try to cause trouble. Its truly not worth the time to list here unless you are just selling used clothing and can just give it away

I made 2 purchases last week. Poshmark took money out of my account right away. 5 days later, i get an email that "seller changed mind." What?! I guess this is a fairly frequent occurence.
Second item was never shipped and no communication from the seller or poshmark. Now, I'm wasting time emailing everyday trying to get my money back. It seemed like a good deal at the time, but now i know it was all a scam. Really, do not bother.

2nd 1 star I have given in my whole life. Seller posted width different from what is on the shoe. Poshmark should require sellers to post EXACTLY how the size is described on the shoe. And no answer to my last email. Not very posh.

This is the worst Company that I've ever encountered and from what I can see from all of their other Negative Reviews. This Company should go out of Business. There's no direct customer service number and the support contact number is a Joke.
If you decide to use this Pathetic company. Do Not present your Email address. They will load you with unnecessary Spam emails and their App deleted will continue sending you those harassing Spam emails. At all Cost, take your Business elsewhere! You won't be disappointed.

I've been using Poshmark for a couple of years now, and have mostly had positive experiences as both a buyer and a seller.

As a buyer, probably 98% of the time I get exactly what was listed and described with no issues. Of the other 2%, all of those have been satisfactorily resolved for me (either returned, credit or some other agreeable solution).

As I seller, I have only had a couple of instances where someone filed a complaint. One of these was where the buyer did not like the fact the item did not fit them even though the sizing and measurements were described and pictured in the listing. PM sided with me and I kept my earnings. Several times I have had someone wait until the very last second to try and scam me, but again I have always been supported by PM.

The real dissatisfaction comes from a couple of sources...

1) EVERYBODY tries to lowball the price. I list name brand shoes in larger sizes (Nine West in 11 or 12 for example). Most of these are new, many still in the original box and wrapping. Typically NW shoes run $79+ when purchased new. I have listed, along with photo evidence of my paying this much, shoes at a price of $30, $35 or maybe $40 dollars. HALF PRICE! And what kind of offers do I get? One pair I paid $89, listed for $40 and received not one, not two but three offers of $15 or less (one offer was for $5!). I get that PM promotes this kind of behavior, but be realistic about it.

2) I generally ship same day, next day at the latest when I sell something. It's delivered to the buyer in 2-3 days and then they take 3 days to accept it (if they even bother). So to get paid can take 5-6 business days.

3) Sellers who have 10-15 items listed will take 7 days to ship an item that I paid for... like, they are really that busy? I get that most people can't ship same day, but is it really that hard to ship within 2-3 days?

So, after several years of being mostly satisfied but seeing the downward trend... I'm moving on. Which means they little bit of money earned by PM from my buying or selling will be going elsewhere. Not that I believe that will actually care, but...

Buyer beware
November 6, 2020

They are willing to lose a customer and get a negative review for $40. Ugg shoes that are obviously mismarked, not correct size OR irregulars that get exiled to a discount store and then bought by Poshmark Sellers to re sell, maybe unknowingly that they are defective. So I bought Ugg clogs size 6 which is every shoe I own including Uggs, that fit like they are a size and a half bigger. No exaggeration. They are in great condition and really pretty but I cant wear them. There's about 2 inches of heel sticking out like I'm playing dress up and wearing my mother's shoes. Shame on Poshmark not allowing a return.

Poshmark protects their sellers at any cost. It has quietly made a change involving buyers' protection. While buyers can still use Paypal as an extra protection, they no longer have an option to login to Paypal. Heck it is not even an option, rather an order coming from Poshmark directly. Like doing it our way or no way. I have found out the hard way.

It looks like Poshmark is having their own Paypal within their site... I know it does not make sense so take it for what it's worth.

What's more, should you happened to have a misfortune of not receiving your purchase by mail, you end up emailing the Poshmark support — yes emailing — using your own email address. In this age of spammers lurking, it's rather funny for lack of better word.

As a result, a purchasing transaction does not show on the Paypal website at all. Hence the buyers are losing the perceived extra protection coming from Paypal as it used to be before the aforementioned change. This change was made rather quietly although I am sure is buried in the Terms of Use somewhere. Not announced by email or by other means. It appears that Poshmark does not care about buyers' protection which is rather sad. I am not going to make any purchases on Poshmark website and don't recommend others using it. There are better alternatives.

Inept customer service
October 28, 2020

These guys will take down your listing on the grounds that it is a replica EVEN THOUGH IT IS NOT. I went back and forth with these people for almost 1 week. UTTERLY inept response and they ask you for the proof of the receipt and invoice. How many sellers on Poshmark still have a receipt or invoice? INCOMPETENT. ILLOGICAL. IRRATIONAL. They will SINGLE YOU OUT and shut down your listings while actually replica ads run RAMPANT.

Poshmark website platform allows sellers to deceive buyers and block negative feedback. Their webpage ad design allows misleading ads and poshmark's claim of protection for buyers is FALSE. I bought item from michaelia7, based on both: the PHOTOS and the BOLD print Item DESCRIPTION showing color as BROWN, but instead received different colored used item, "tan," NOT shown in the ad or photos. But since the webpage design allows seller to list more description details below ad. And this seller listed 2 other colors NOT matching the photos or item description in small print. She then sent me an item matching one of those colors, and Poshmark claims this qualifies: "as described," though her ad clearly showed ONLY the BROWN item now "Sold." So this website sends automated emails and the"phone" number listed Only has a message saying they only use email. So on principal I tried 5 times clarifying this yet messages claim "Item is as described." The messages also say to: "reposh" or resell it, (dont want to join) also suggested buyers must ask sellers more questions bf purchases, and buyers must read more about the website -Other-words don't take the ads at face value! This fits the legal definition of Misleading and False advertising. I reported it to FTC so their on a list. I see that for websites registered out-of-state there's no recourse to go to court. I ended up with a very, BUTT UGLY, CHEAP, TACKY, TAN VINYL purse that should have gone into trash. Seller must have been desperate to keep her sales volume high since she's at "Ambassador" level status and that requires large am't of sales. If she were based in my state she'd be going to small Claims court, Poshmark too. Now a lessen learned CHEAP! So I will only buy local or Amazon, eBay and the few other websites that have proven their validity.

Buyer Beware!
October 25, 2020

If an order does not fit or it is the wrong color/material, you cannot return it. I was told they would not allow the return, would not refund my money and I should give it away or donate! Policies like this are unheard of in today's online marketplace. I am amazed Poshmark has been so successful.

I began a Poshmark account, but was never asked what my email was; instead, when I signed up, I signed into my PayPal, and Poshmark assumed that my PayPal email was the email address I wanted to use. Again, Poshmark never asked what my email was, then when I tried to change my email address on my account, Poshmark would only do so by sending a confirmation to my PayPal email. Now I have canceled an order, and confirmation of my cancellation is in an email that I am unable to access. No help and no response from Poshmark customer service. This company seems like an under-thought start-up that is run by a college classroom think tank.

I would leave a NEGATIVE review if allowed. Placed an order. Price was reasonable and the reviews for the product were good. Paid asking price, tax and shipping. 3 days later, I get an email stating that my order has been cancelled. "Bundle with other order" was the reason given. First of all - HUH? Secondly, there was NOTHING in the description or listing to say it had to be 'bundled'. Will NOT do business with Poshmark in the future and will tell everyone I know that they are scammers.

Once you 'use' Poshmark in any way, you get on their spam list. Despite repeatedly 'unsubscribing', I still get 4 - 5 emails PER DAY. Federal law says if you 'unsubscribe', they HAVE to quit spamming you. I wish someone would let Poshmark know about that law!

Give it a chance
October 18, 2020

I purchased 5 items on this site so far. I have received 3 of them. 2 out of 3 were just as i expected. The other item was a Medium sized jacket that was way too small! I blame myself for that... I should have inquired further, if this was a Womans, or junior size! All in all. I give it 5 stars. If you are going to buy something expensive, well you take your chances in my opinion. I only buy 25 dollar items and under. This is basically an online consignment shop, and I am now addicted!

Not Worth the Trouble
October 17, 2020

I've tried a couple of times to shop this site and just not impressed. First try the seller never responded so I finally got my money back. Second try, the shirt didn't fit but I could not return it. So many other better sites to shop; this one isn't worth it.

Don't
October 16, 2020

Horrible experience. As a buyer. Probably at least 50% of the listings are not for sale anymore. Probably 1/2 to 2/3 of the stuff that is for sale is counterfeit. Poshmark does no policing of their site. They don't offer authentication unless the item is over $500. You have to wait a week before you can request your money back. Only takes them a few seconds to take your money. Then they decide if you will get your money returned. It says they immediately return your funds, that is not true. Don't waste your time only to get scammed
