I had originally planned to buy a necklace chain on this website. I've had luck with it before, but now the company RUINED it! When I pressed buy now, it said it was unavailable due to inactivity and forcing me to make an offer for it. This is a SCAM!
Run away from this company. The buyer has no rights. Once you get the item, it is yours, whether the item purchased is half way usable or not at all.
Do NOT buy things here. I purchased a vintage concert T-shirt as a gift for $140. It was so tiny, it was laughable. Poshmark would NOT allow a return. Their position is I "should have asked more questions." What a joke. Will NEVER order here again.
Poshmark is the worst selling/buying company I have ever work with! Poshmark have entire control of what you sell. They will take 20% of your sale, and will set up their own sale price if you want to send an offer to interested buyers. If you want to buy on Poshmark, be aware... it is very difficult to return an item. If you receive an item that was defective or dirty, Poshmark will not let you return the item. They will always try to protect the seller so they can keep their 20% sale profit. This is a pair of Doen Melody jeans that was obviously altered. Seller denied that it was altered and refused to consider a return. Poshmark issued me a $10 credit while the seller got her $100.
I purchased a fake Tiffany and co necklace that was listed as real, the silver plating didn't start to fade until about 1 month and 1/2 after I purchased yet poshmark issued me a full refund and on top of that allowed me to keep the necklace. Although that is not usually what poshmark does, they allowed this once! Got back to me after only a couple hours of emailing them! So in conclusion poshmark is not responsible for the sellers on the site, some of what people sell might not be what you are expecting but the poshmark team it's self is amazing and attentive.
Received a pair of earrings from a seller that were clearly misrepresented, appealed for a return and told they found in her favor and released my money to her. They then told me to relist which is ridiculous bc they get a cut of what I sell them for! These are extremely deceptive business practices and their "guarantee" is worthless.
If I could give 0 Stars I would.
The website is hard to navigate. Sellers should be vetted better. No guarantees or returns if not satisfied. The correspondence between posh and customers seems automated. You're on your own at Postmark. I felt taken!
Absolutely extremely horrible customer service. AVOID! Bad experience after bad experience. DONE!
I purchased a dress and when I received I found the dress had been altered. The straps were shortened by 2 inches. This dress was listed as a size 12. No mention of alteration. When I wanted to return or get a refund in amount to return straps to the standard size that I ordered and was listed in description I was denied. So buyer beware. Now I am out extra alteration fees and would have been better off shopping at TJ Maxx.
Because I read the reviews here, I decided not to order anything on Poshmark. It is just not worth the risk of losing money and not getting the merchandise or a poor-quality item that you can't even return.
I use several platforms to buy, Depop and Mercari, and especially Ebay. But what I love about those platforms is that you can see the sellers ratings. WE, as buyers should have that fairness and Poshmark for some reason doesn't do it... why? Because the sellers are more important? I'm a good buyer and leave 5 star reviews and want to avoid BAD sellers. I buy a lot on these platforms, especially Poshmark. But really have come to conclusion of leaving it and closing my account. I don't understand how this platform can allow sellers to continue on Poshmark when they haven't even been active for over a year or more... A complete waste of a buyers time!
I bought a luxury ice bucket from poshmark 10 days ago and the seller sent me a text message yesterday saying that they dont know where the item I bought is. They cannot find the item in their house or warehouse, and asked me for more time to wait. THIS IS A SCAM! You dont post things for sale that you dont know where they are at! Then, there is no customer service on poshmark. You call and nobody answers the phone. You report a problem on their website but nobody answers either. I WILL NEVER EVER USE POSHMARK AGAIN!
Im convinced the majority of Poshmark Sellers are dead. Their dormant closets sit there month after month and buyers get no reponses to questions. Most of their products are overpriced. They use descriptive words like Y2K, lol, with no knowledge of what that means. They hate answering questions. Im no longer a Posh user, but in one year, I ordered 5 items, received one and the other four were never sent from Sellers. They didnt even communicate with me. Poshmark does NOTHING to set standards for their Sellers nor do they delete dead accounts. This site is horrible. As far as refunds from deceased Sellers of products you order? Youve got to keep bugging them for your money back. So you're out your money, you have no item you ordered and are being ignored by Poshmark and the Seller. Good Luck.
I'm a fool - 3 bad experiences with this company. One item never shipped. You only have 2 days to notify them of a problem (impossible for anyone who travels in their work,) and I've learned that even if you send photos immediately clearly showing awful problems that somehow mysteriously didn't show up in the auction photos (in this case - shoes), it's not good enough for them to authorize a return of refund! BAD COMPANY! Oh, and they only want your photos taken outside, so good luck to those of you living where it's raining every day or snowing! A really AWFUL company!
This site ia horrible I had issues with Seller of an item and they contacted customer service to get it fixed so I can get my item and they never heard back from them and they held my money forever even though I wasn't going to get an item then I sold something and I had the same issue couldn't print out my label sent them SEVEN emails because there's no number to call them and they never responded back. Added them to a conversation between me and a seller which is an option but they just say contact customer service caise they don't respond to you. Shippings is really expensive its 8 dollars even if its a small item. They take 20% of whatever you sell thats twice as much as other sites.
I recently placed my first order on Poshmark. After a week, Poshmark cancelled without explanation.
Based on this experience, I would never buy or sell on this unprofessional site.
People will do anything to rip you off. Poshmark just restricts you for making a claim. You have no way of finding someone to talk to.
Beware if you want to return something. They make it so hard. Conflicting and complicated customer service procedures, time outs when inputting data, wanting pictures of the problem in certain light, holding the item, picture of box it was mailed in, formatted customer service response, item I got over priced for the quality. I got ripped off. No refund granted.
Simply browsing site when got a message that my order was on it's way! So i wrote seller a note asking to return item and hear nothing...
I'm a seller since 2019. This platform is great to sell and buy. Easy to list and ship items. I ship item on same day purchase. Have a scammer whom claimed the it was damaged yet pictures posted reflect no damage. I can and will guaranteed all my items listed are new with no damage. Gladly this situation was resolved. If you are looking to sell or buy please be honest I put my heart into this since I love to selll and shop. Dishonest people really hurt the seller emotions. I really want to thank all the buyers and viewers that check out my closet as I really appreciate all feed back weather is good or bad. Thank you Poshmark for the opportunity to sell and buy… sexylady*******
Answer: You've got to be smart about shopping online these days. There are scammers wherever you go. That said, if you follow the guidelines and steer clear from trading, which most sites don't condone, then you'll be fine. I've purchased over 100+ items on poshmark and have sold over 90+ with complete success, with the exception of the one time I decided to trade... I've purchased low prices items before and received junk a couple times, but Poshmark ALWAYS refunded me! Maybe I'm super savvy, so here's what I always do: 1. Always checkout the seller's reviews. 2. Always ask if there are any flaws with used items. 3. Always ask if sizing is TTS: "true to size" 4. And most importantly, always ask if it's authentic (unless otherwise specified in the description) These 4 questions have always led me to receiving exactly what I wanted and at half the retail price! Plus, it's so much fun! I've made a considerable amount of income from it, while also adding a nice set of items to my own closet! Good luck out there!
Answer: I have received every item I have ever bought on poshmark. It arrived on time and was in the exact condtion as was promised and how it appeared in the pics.
Answer: Well yes she received the boots and probably didnt like them or they didnt fit etc. she is trying to get her money back by trying to re sell them for 70.00 however she would only get 56.00
Answer: It took a long time, but today Poshmark said they refunded the entire purchase amount plus shipping because the booties I ordered were misrepresented. It took About a month and a half. Two times they offered me small credits toward another Poshmark purchase. I filed a very well documented (12 pages of emails, screen shots of the ad and screen shots of dialogue between me and the seller, Kimology) fraud claim with my credit card company, and I emailed Poshmark's customer service to advise them. Two days later they told me they were refunding my money. We'll see if that happens. Poshmark's customer service is terrible, but persistence paid off. Best of luck to you!
Answer: Ask probing questions: non-smoker? Ever been dry cleaned? How worn is it? Cats? Etc
Answer: I have the total opposite reaction to this question. This mystery group that decides what the outcome will be is ridiculous. You can't talk to anyone, and my last attempt to get support through emails, took one month! Not a fan of learning who the good sellers are by trial and error...
Answer: She probably stalked the other seller's listing and found you commented on the item you purchased. So technically, yes they can see what you buy as long as you commented something on the purchased listing.
Answer: Be careful on posh because they do not have your back. There is a lot of scandalous people on posh. Be careful on ebay as well. I bought a Michael Kors set on ebay that was listed as excellent condition but it was stained and reeked of cigarette smoke. Ebay did not refund my money. They said since it wasn't listed as brand new with tags I was screwed. I was out $315. Who wants a handbag and wallet that smells like shit? I think twice before buying on Ebay since that experience. Shame on the dishonest seller and Ebay for allowing that behavior. Good Luck!
Answer: Have you sent an email to Poshmark support? I have before and they did respond
Answer: You unfortunately cannot return an item if it doesn't fit. It's best to ask the seller the measurements of the item, if they tell you the wrong measurements you can return it. If they will not give you the measurements then don't buy from them. I'm new to selling on Poshmark and I will allow people to return their items if they don't fit because I believe that's what's right, you will find other good sellers!
