I purchased a purse off this site. The Seller listed the item as NWOT. I needed a large hand bag and prior to purchase, I messaged the Seller to ask if the bag was a medium or large? She said "Large". I received the item with wear at the corners and damage. NWOT? I opened a claim under Poshmark and attachments pics of the damages. Didn't hear anything back from them for 3 weeks. I contacted Poshmark to find out the status of my claim to return the bag for my refund. I was told that they sent a request to me for more pics and info. I NEVER received a request from Poshmark or any correspondence. The answer to my email was that my claim didn't fall under their guidlines. So now I'm going through my bank to dispute this. A Rep from Poshmark sent an email stating "if you dispute this with your bank, we will dispute your account! Really? I should have researched tgis site further before dealing with the fraud that's going on. You can't even speak to a live person. So I responded to the threat as, "you threaten me because I have a problem with and item purchased off your site? You can do whatever but my bank WILL pursue you! BUYERS BEWARE! This is not a good place to buy anything!
I have been selling and buying off poshmark for a while now and it's great. Just beware all the amazing discounts will make you into a shopaholic. A few tips about shopping on PM always ask questions even if you think you are bothering them ask! That is your right to ask as many questions as you need after all you are buying somethig you havent seen from a stranger, if they don't want to answer just move along. I'm a seller as well and always welcome questions and requests for additional information or photos. I would say the only downside is the shipping costs for the buyers and the selling fees for the seller but it's the cost of doing business with a business that values both seller and buyer so I'm happy to pay it. I've only had one minor hiccup but it wasn't as bad and I still got a good price for what was sold
They take a large percent of your sales then restrict your account if you make it known someone is selling replicas. With no chance to make it right
Got scammed yesterday! I sold a bag and the girl switch my bag with something other bag and claimed that I sent a wrong item. She even take a video of herself opening the package and i have nothing to prove myself. Now i lost my bag and my $$$ i will not use Poshmark anymore, can't believe people can awful like that for a used bag.
Fortunately I have been able to sell a few things and the transactions have gone smoothly. One item got disputed even though my listing was completely honest. I blame the buyer for not asking more questions. Instead of trying to win the case, I asked Poshmark to send me my item back -- I don't want an unhappy buyer saying negative things about me! Since there's no way to DM someone, our interactions are public which is so annoying. Another buyer purchased a brand new with tag still attached item from me for $10 (the cheapest thing I have), it was shipped next day. She had the nerve to give me a 2-star rating. WTF. I have no way of asking her what her prob was without doing so publicly and risking she sat something nasty and untrue. People are weird and a lot of the stuff is garbage -- cheap crap. I'm hesitant to try to keep selling what I already have on there and I certainly would never buy off the site. Between the crap, crappy customer service, email scammers, low ball offers, and people asking to trade when you specifically say NO TRADES, not sure it's worth the effort.
Since March 2015 I've made over $5500 selling on Poshmark. I do have quality, brand name clothing and shoes, and everything I've sold has been new or like new. I am glad that I've had this avenue to sell items I no longer need. I've dealt with a couple of irrational buyers but you are dealing
With the "general public." I've had good support from poshmark with a couple of issues. I don't buy, I only sell. Lately there are so many sellers that it's hard to make a sale and shipping is now a flat rate of $6.50 which is great if a buyer wants to "bundle" several items, but it's too high for those who only want to buy one item. However, you don't pay sales tax which is a savings for buyers that live in NY or other states where the sales tax on clothing can be as high as 8 per cent. I had a good run with poshmark but it seems to be coming to an end. Poshmark has introduced new clothing items (not brand names)that you buy directly from them and re-sell. You can buy various sizes of the same item. This has definitely hurt sellers like me. I don't plan to invest in their clothing line and this combined with the millions of sellers now on Poshmark and the high shipping charges make it impossible to sell anything!
Poshmark is CRAPMARK! The sale group is now full of used underwear, homemade bottles of unknown glop, porn ads, broken junk, fake designer purses, dirty rags, random misc yard sale rejects, nicotine vape, gross used makeup, beggars, scammers, and tons of questionable Chinese import crap. Flagging this stuff is useless. Poshmark is swamped with it, and it's rarely removed. Ever.
One star is being generous! I made an offer to a seller on Poshmark. The seller accepted, but I didn't get to answer the seller. Lo and behold the item is at my front door! I go to the Poshmark site and it says that I to check the item out and accept the sale or report an issue. Poshmark says that they won't take the money out of my bank via PayPal until I accept the package. I accepted the package on 8/30 but when I go to my bank account, the payment went through on 8/27... BEFORE I ACCEPTED THE PACKAGE! LIARS AND MISLEADING! What if I had real issues with the product?! Which I did... the seller sent me a stinky product with a dog treat still inside one of the pockets! I had to wash the whole thing. So I was being nice accepting the product. Well, never again will I go on Poshmark!
Plz let Her know i want to purchase the purses she had bundled for me but pish has blocked from this for no reason. I want her to email me at *******@gmail.com. Thanks Mary
I have made 4 purchases and they have never went smoothly. First purchase came quickly but was broken. Support fixed the issue quickly. So I was ok with it. 2nd transaction never came and turns out the girl couldn't even find the items she had placed for sale. That order was cancelled. My last 2 have taken FOREVER to send out. I'm so done with Poshmark. I don't believe they have any ways to rate their sellers. If they did the sellers wouldn't suck so bad.
I am able to negotiate some awesome deals on Poshmark. I love the selling community. The buyers lowball entirely too much but the biggest issue for me is the shipping cost. Most of the things that I purchase would only cost 2 or $3 at most I'm paying double that it's such a ripoff and very unhappy with Poshmark
Horrible "business" practices. You will have to put a lot of time in when you are scammed to try to get your $ back. Site allows you to be scammed for hundreds of dollars for weeks before they even consider
I've been a member of Poshmark since 2004 and have thoroughly enjoyed it and have purchased several designer bags from Gucci, Louis Vuitton to Burberry. I have always been happy with all my purchases and have always felt safe and confident in knowing my purchases are 100% authentic. I also love the "posh ediquette" that each member has for one another. I have never had any negative experiences in my 12 years of buying. I hope to start selling soon!
How can a company with over 200'million in sales not have a customer service telephone number? They will hear an hear an earful from their angry customers. So sorry I signed up with them- they gave made my life a living hell. Poor business. Does not see the need to answer e-mails in a timely fashion. I am sure they purposely do this especially when they are at fault.
I have purchased four items on Poshmark. The first one got lost in the mail. The second one I found out had been listed for three years and was sold three years ago as well. The third one was great. The fourth one I got the wrong item. I have more coming and I am scared to think what screw ups will happen next. Stick with Etsy, Ebay, RubyLane, ShopStyle, OneKingsLane, but you are taking a HUGE risk on Poshmark, Plus you cannot get them to respond to you by email it takes them three days to respond.
I've decided to close my account on Poshmark. I've bought over a thousand dollars worth of items on Poshmark and my experience has been overwhelmingly negative. I'm a buyer, not a seller. At least four times a seller has not shipped items after I bought them and has given me the runaround. On this last occasion I waited two weeks for the seller to ship the items. Told me they didn't have tape (priority tape is free at the post office). In other words just blatant lies. On another occasion I received a counterfeit dress. On three other occasions I received a dress full of stains. On another occasion there was stains with blood (menstruation). I mean disgusting stuff. And yet, even with the sellers selling counterfeits, stained items, their accounts remain open. When you open a case and return the stained item you bought, you can no longer leave feedback which defeats the points. There is no way for buyers to warn other buyers not to buy from sellers selling counterfeit because the seller will block you, delete the listing and your post and you can't leave honest negative feedback when the transaction is cancelled. I feel strongly that buyers are getting the short end of the stick. Sellers who don't fulfill transactions, or sell counterfeits, stained items should not be allowed to sell. Their accounts should be closed because they are creating a bad experience for the buyer. But Poshmark doesn't care about the buyer. All they want to do is trick you out of your money.
Total waste of time--ordered sunglasses--order never fulfilled. Run around from cust serv--no answer back from seller. What a scam, they held my money for 3 weeks. Total bs.
I have been selling and buying for quite some time and have gotten some great bargains! I have also sold hundreds of dollars of items with only one "problem ". Customer service responded quickly and resolved the issue to my satisfaction.
Poshmark is suppose to be a NO RETURN policy. Buyer bought jade bangle from.me. And buyer request a return. Because it was not as described and she mention about 6cm blah blah blah. I did not even place numbers. Because some. People are stupid. So i place a picture of a ruler abd the bangle on top. To make it much understandable. Guess what, poshmark approved the buyer's request of return. They did not even check my listing and they never ask for any pictures etc etc to justify myself. I wasted my. Time wth this stupid people. Poshmark and buyer. They are so stupid. I am not joining poshmark ever again. It is a waste of time and gas to bring package to usps. Just not fair. Buyer can always make up stories...
Ugh, I wish I had read these reviews first! What a waste of time! I had one good sale that made me next to nothing. Then I made another sale. The buyer, siesta2016, first low-balled me with an offer, but it was only my second sale so I thought, why not? Then Poshmark sends me an email saying she claimed it wasn't in as good as condition as described - she said a seam was ripped and Poshmark said she had a photo to prove it. Um, ya think she could've ripped the seam herself? 'Cause there was no ripped seam and if she has a picture, that means she ripped it and I'm going to get back a damaged dress (if I get it back). What do these people do? Wear it once and then return it? Is it really worth it to go through all this trouble to scam people? I tried to put my input in to Poshmark but they obviously ignored it. I always photo and mention damage when I list. Always. You can see it in my other listings. AND, if you go to her account page, there's nothing - no pictures, no listings, no nothing. If you're thinking about selling on Poshmark, don't do it! NOT worth the time spent!
Answer: You've got to be smart about shopping online these days. There are scammers wherever you go. That said, if you follow the guidelines and steer clear from trading, which most sites don't condone, then you'll be fine. I've purchased over 100+ items on poshmark and have sold over 90+ with complete success, with the exception of the one time I decided to trade... I've purchased low prices items before and received junk a couple times, but Poshmark ALWAYS refunded me! Maybe I'm super savvy, so here's what I always do: 1. Always checkout the seller's reviews. 2. Always ask if there are any flaws with used items. 3. Always ask if sizing is TTS: "true to size" 4. And most importantly, always ask if it's authentic (unless otherwise specified in the description) These 4 questions have always led me to receiving exactly what I wanted and at half the retail price! Plus, it's so much fun! I've made a considerable amount of income from it, while also adding a nice set of items to my own closet! Good luck out there!
Answer: I have received every item I have ever bought on poshmark. It arrived on time and was in the exact condtion as was promised and how it appeared in the pics.
Answer: Well yes she received the boots and probably didnt like them or they didnt fit etc. she is trying to get her money back by trying to re sell them for 70.00 however she would only get 56.00
Answer: It took a long time, but today Poshmark said they refunded the entire purchase amount plus shipping because the booties I ordered were misrepresented. It took About a month and a half. Two times they offered me small credits toward another Poshmark purchase. I filed a very well documented (12 pages of emails, screen shots of the ad and screen shots of dialogue between me and the seller, Kimology) fraud claim with my credit card company, and I emailed Poshmark's customer service to advise them. Two days later they told me they were refunding my money. We'll see if that happens. Poshmark's customer service is terrible, but persistence paid off. Best of luck to you!
Answer: Ask probing questions: non-smoker? Ever been dry cleaned? How worn is it? Cats? Etc
Answer: I have the total opposite reaction to this question. This mystery group that decides what the outcome will be is ridiculous. You can't talk to anyone, and my last attempt to get support through emails, took one month! Not a fan of learning who the good sellers are by trial and error...
Answer: She probably stalked the other seller's listing and found you commented on the item you purchased. So technically, yes they can see what you buy as long as you commented something on the purchased listing.
Answer: Be careful on posh because they do not have your back. There is a lot of scandalous people on posh. Be careful on ebay as well. I bought a Michael Kors set on ebay that was listed as excellent condition but it was stained and reeked of cigarette smoke. Ebay did not refund my money. They said since it wasn't listed as brand new with tags I was screwed. I was out $315. Who wants a handbag and wallet that smells like shit? I think twice before buying on Ebay since that experience. Shame on the dishonest seller and Ebay for allowing that behavior. Good Luck!
Answer: Have you sent an email to Poshmark support? I have before and they did respond
Answer: You unfortunately cannot return an item if it doesn't fit. It's best to ask the seller the measurements of the item, if they tell you the wrong measurements you can return it. If they will not give you the measurements then don't buy from them. I'm new to selling on Poshmark and I will allow people to return their items if they don't fit because I believe that's what's right, you will find other good sellers!
