, shipped my orders, and then bam, within hours the buyers cancelled the orders and Poshmark said they would refund them Poshmark did not, but the buyer was able to go in and reduce my 5 star rating to one after the fact It was real confusing Other then that I am ok, but the site could use some policing and simplification when it comes to buyers cancelling and revamping reviews
You have stolen money from my credit card account without my permission, then put back some of the money! How did you get my details when I have never heard of 'poshmark' and would never use this site, ever! I have never given orthorisation. This is criminal and will not be tolerated.
I can not get in touch this is the second time ive lostan item that i really liked because of the lackof commincation with this site. They nvr get back to you and their communication stinks. Jennifer greenfield. I will be leery to shop any further.
I have to admit that I have no one to blame but myself - I should've read the reviews first, so my loss would've been prevented. But for those who can benefit from prior knowledge of the apparently common scheme running on Poshmark - here goes.
I sold a dress to this buyer for (as per her own admission) an upcoming wedding. The dress was identified by the manufacturer (Badgley Mischka) as "Red Gown with Shawl", although the actual color was with a fuchsia tint, which the pictures on my site were clearly shown.
I shipped this dress the same day I've accepted the offer, in the original garment bags for both the dress and the shawl, using a large USPS box to prevent wrinkles. Two days later the buyer opened the case regarding this sale claiming "the color was not as described" (I had 4 pictures posted, in different light, mind you). The case was approved shortly, but it took the buyer almost ten more days (and probably the weekend for this wedding) to ship the dress back. When I got it, I was really shocked it was shipped back to me shoved in the medium size envelope, with no garment bags or hanger (I don't understand why the buyer took the shawl out the zipped bag if the color of the dress is not as described?). In addition, the dress was stained, and the boning structure of the corset was bent and twisted.
I contacted the customer service, but as people on previous reviews mentioned they brushed me off with the cant confirm the original state of the item shipped bull$#*! and quite insulting $10 credit to my account.
I am writing to the CEO of Poshmark, but have no hope of my situation, meaning falling a victim of the common Poshmark scheme being resolved. I only hope that people who are reading this review would think twice before using Poshmark.
I loved this app... made lots of $ and had tons of followers then one day a user named mxnicole or something started harassing me.id block her, shed make a new account. Went in 4 24 hours and i reported each incident. Finally i snapped and said something about feeling bad for her. Next day my 200 listings i had carefully made were deleted. I was banned 4 life. I had made sales but not shipped before being banned so i sent them and one was reported as not getting her order even though usps had delivered it.the other order i had accidentally put the wrong label on. They keep track of every package thats sent. All of a sudden they lie and claim they cant track the package and ti contact the person i sent it to(im blocked from talking to anyone) so i lost $40. It took a week 4 then to respond and they lied. They give third parties access to your information ie credit card. They favor some users over others(the girl that harassed me with 5 accounts is still a member) and they steal. Also take 20% of your sale. Use vinted or mercari... you keep your money and they are legit
I've bought about 10 items from poshmark. Boots, hoodies, sweaters and jeans. I ordered a sweater and when it arrived it had pulled threads, couldn't be fixed since it's knit but it was cheap enough anyway. The biggest problem is that sellers have 7 days to ship and some of them wait the full 7 days even though the buyer has already paid. They don't receive their money until the buyer receives and accepts the order. You have the option to cancel your order after 7 days but you have to wait to be credited your money back. But once it shipped it usually arrives within 2-3 days. Some sellers include little extras, a tshirt or custom jewelry. I'm an avid thrift store junkie so to be order to shop one online is a bonus!
I created an account and ordered a pair of booties. Unknown to me, they put a hold on my account and the booties were sold to someone else. I was not even informed that my account had been put on hold so that I could send them what they needed. They simply cancelled my order and put my account on hold without the decency to notify me. Terrible experience. Terrible buying experience.
Many of the poshmark users lie about the initial price they paid for items they are reselling as to make an unethical profit. They also say "3 day" shipping but give sellers 7-14 days to ship items which then takes 3 days.
I recently sold an authentic Goyard bag on Poshmark. It was an older model that was made before the recent change in the stamping. It was authenticated by TRR and Authenticate First. I even have the full authenticity report. However, Poshmark canceled my sale and threatened to destroy my perfectly authentic bag saying their so-called "experts" thought the bag was a counterfeit. Clearly they are not experts. I am horrified at their false claim of expertise. There is no seller protection with this site. Absolutely horrible customer service. AVOID!
I bought a Patagonia fleece from this site and the seller did not show a photo of a "younglife" decal on the sleeve, clearly showing this was some free handout for the Younglife organization. When I tried to submit photos they said the photos were not clear enough even though they were perfectly clear and they denied my return. I am contesting the charges with my credit card company. Beware
DO NOT USE THIS SITE! I GOT A BOGUS ANNE KLEIN COAT AND WHEN I GAVE THEM THE PHOTOS SHOWING THE ITEM DID NOT HAVE
AK KLEIN ON THE TAG - THEY STILL SAID IT WAS AUTHENTIC! REPORTED TO CONSUMER FRAUD!
Beware of Poshmark there are some scammers just got scammed by a girl named Hailey Hild took my money and never sent item 2 weeks have passed said she mailed obovisouly lied said there was flooding in PA okay lol I knew she was lying right there PA was not involved in recent hurricane incident. This girl thought she could lie to me and then blocks me after I figured out her little game. FYI be careful who you buy from there are scammers in this world be careful
As other reviewers have stated Poshmark's customer service is the worst. They allow buyers to return items damaged. There is NO protection for sellers against unethical buyers who can return items they damaged. I wouldn't have a problem with someone returning something because of buyers remorse, but NOT after they damaged the item, that just crazy. Poshmark actually sent me a email saying give a better description of the item next time...(WTH?) the pictures posted show the item with ZERO damage. They never asked me to send pictures proving the item wasn't damaged they just allowed the buyer to return the item. VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE & I'M DONE SELLING ON POSHMARK!
Poshmark is great until you have a problem. As many others have already stated the customer service is virtually non-existent.
As a seller I give Poshmark an F. There is ZERO protection for sellers against unethical buyers who can easily return items for little to no reason other than buyers remorse. There have even been cases where the purchaser has destroyed an item in order to return it (I implore you to Google seller reviews and read the horror stories before you decide to start selling on their site). If a buyer opens a case against you as a seller you have zero opportunity to present evidence or dispute their claims.
In fact, you don't even have a clue as to why the case is being opened as Poshmark does not allow you to view what the allegations are.
You just have to hope all of your buyers are honest. For such a high sellers fee you'd think the customer service would be a little better.
I purchased an item 7 days have come and gone seller still has not shipped it now I have to wait 21 days to get my money back don't waste your time with this website no one to contact they don't care
I started getting email notifications from the site as if I were a seller. The info inside the notifications, such as my alleged name and mailing list, were obviously phony so I contacted the company and said they had the wrong email address for the listed seller. They apologized and said they'd try to fix it but of course, they never did. I finally figured out that since my email address was listed as the contact info, I could go in and change the account info... which I did. I did observe that there was no way to cancel the account online (which is also suspect) so I just changed the email address.
My cautionary note to others is spend your money elsewhere. I have no idea if the bid notifications I was getting were legit or just some type of spam/phishing scheme, but if they were real, there are probably some disappointed potential buyers out there.
The first thing I tried to buy off of Poshmark was a pair of ballet flats (by a now defunct brand, so they are rather rare) and the sale was cancelled (with my $ refunded) as the seller never bothered to mail out the shoes. That should have been an indication to me just how flakey some sellers can be. More recently, I have had sellers decline very fair offers, and some sellers don't even RESPOND to offers at full asking price.
Likewise, most sellers do not respond to my questions in their comments section about size, measurements, etc. And the "newest scam" seems to be that half the items I bid on are actually "unavailable"; either the seller cannot locate them or they have actually sold them elsewhere (like on eBay). This has happened to me 3 times in a row, and even more annoyingly: Poshmark's policy on this is that they 'refund' you your $ via your 'redeemable Poshmark balance' (vs. Refunding your credit card directly). At this point, I'm pretty much done using this site, and am therefore downgrading my review from 2 stars down to just 1.
No matter how I try I'm denied access. I tried to contact someone to help and still denied. At a last resort I fb them. But it shouldn't be this difficult to spend your hard earned money!
I love Poshmark! I have been selling on it for about a year now. Sales depend on many factors. You need to share your items if you want them to be viewed/purchased. It can be a bit of a hassle if you have a busy life AND want to sell some things, but if you follow and follow people, (and receive many follows & shares in return) you will not have a problem getting views on your items. It can take a bit to get there but its worth it once you get sales. I do wish they would make it easier to share items instead of doing so one by one! As for customer service, I've never had an issue. But I am in lots of FB groups for Posh, and have seen many people with issues (like people trying to scam them) but once they email posh support, it gets fixed fast and they get their funds back. They also just added a Kids & Men section, so you can now sell kids clothing and men's clothing. The only real complaint I have about it is they take 20% off each item you sell. Which is a bit high depending on the items. The shipping rate IS high, however when you make bundle purchases (purchases of 2 or more items) it makes it worth it especially with bundle discounts!
What a lot of reviewers here don't seem to understand, is that Poshmark is one big marketplace with tons of mini shops from different people. Before making a purchase, it's recommended that you look at their "love notes" (reviews). Ask questions about the items to the seller before purchasing. If one seller doesn't provide you with an order that you wanted, it's not Poshmark's fault, it's the seller's fault. If your order is taking long to ship, comment/ask the seller why it's taking so long, not posh! The majority of these reviews are people who bought 1 thing without even thinking about asking details, had an issue, and are here to blame Posh (not the seller) for what happened instead of attempting to fix the problem with the seller, or finding a seller with tons of great love notes and buying from them instead.
*******@clairelynnp143
I ordered 2 items from same seller. I paid, Poshmark took money immediately. Seller never shipped items, never responded. That can happen, time to time, I understand. That itself is not Poshmark's fault.
However, when I asked Poshmark if I can leave negative review for that seller, Poshmark said buyers can only review items which they received, not for sellers for not shipping or not responding. I looked up the same seller and the account is active as well as items.
It makes me think Poshmark actually wants to keep bad sellers (possibly some fake sellers) so buyers would pay and Poshmark can hold money for longer period than transactions successfully completed (item received on time). Poshmark can take money immediately and holds money during waiting time and can processes refund later (which is not processed immediately at all) so they can use cash by themselves. They play with money they are holding. They probably keep bad sellers purposely so they can take money and can refund later.
If that's not their intend, they should certainly mark sellers who are non-responsive and/or non-responsible (to ship items) clearly for another future buyers, so other buyers would not buy from such seller. Poshmark certainly refused to do that. They have own self-beneficial reasons to keep bad sellers active.
Answer: You've got to be smart about shopping online these days. There are scammers wherever you go. That said, if you follow the guidelines and steer clear from trading, which most sites don't condone, then you'll be fine. I've purchased over 100+ items on poshmark and have sold over 90+ with complete success, with the exception of the one time I decided to trade... I've purchased low prices items before and received junk a couple times, but Poshmark ALWAYS refunded me! Maybe I'm super savvy, so here's what I always do: 1. Always checkout the seller's reviews. 2. Always ask if there are any flaws with used items. 3. Always ask if sizing is TTS: "true to size" 4. And most importantly, always ask if it's authentic (unless otherwise specified in the description) These 4 questions have always led me to receiving exactly what I wanted and at half the retail price! Plus, it's so much fun! I've made a considerable amount of income from it, while also adding a nice set of items to my own closet! Good luck out there!
Answer: I have received every item I have ever bought on poshmark. It arrived on time and was in the exact condtion as was promised and how it appeared in the pics.
Answer: Well yes she received the boots and probably didnt like them or they didnt fit etc. she is trying to get her money back by trying to re sell them for 70.00 however she would only get 56.00
Answer: It took a long time, but today Poshmark said they refunded the entire purchase amount plus shipping because the booties I ordered were misrepresented. It took About a month and a half. Two times they offered me small credits toward another Poshmark purchase. I filed a very well documented (12 pages of emails, screen shots of the ad and screen shots of dialogue between me and the seller, Kimology) fraud claim with my credit card company, and I emailed Poshmark's customer service to advise them. Two days later they told me they were refunding my money. We'll see if that happens. Poshmark's customer service is terrible, but persistence paid off. Best of luck to you!
Answer: Ask probing questions: non-smoker? Ever been dry cleaned? How worn is it? Cats? Etc
Answer: I have the total opposite reaction to this question. This mystery group that decides what the outcome will be is ridiculous. You can't talk to anyone, and my last attempt to get support through emails, took one month! Not a fan of learning who the good sellers are by trial and error...
Answer: She probably stalked the other seller's listing and found you commented on the item you purchased. So technically, yes they can see what you buy as long as you commented something on the purchased listing.
Answer: Be careful on posh because they do not have your back. There is a lot of scandalous people on posh. Be careful on ebay as well. I bought a Michael Kors set on ebay that was listed as excellent condition but it was stained and reeked of cigarette smoke. Ebay did not refund my money. They said since it wasn't listed as brand new with tags I was screwed. I was out $315. Who wants a handbag and wallet that smells like shit? I think twice before buying on Ebay since that experience. Shame on the dishonest seller and Ebay for allowing that behavior. Good Luck!
Answer: Have you sent an email to Poshmark support? I have before and they did respond
Answer: You unfortunately cannot return an item if it doesn't fit. It's best to ask the seller the measurements of the item, if they tell you the wrong measurements you can return it. If they will not give you the measurements then don't buy from them. I'm new to selling on Poshmark and I will allow people to return their items if they don't fit because I believe that's what's right, you will find other good sellers!
