I've been a buyer and a seller, and I've never had a problem. I purchased a $2000 Chloe bag that was barely used and practically brand new for $1400. I've sold probably $2000 worth of stuff for very little effort. Sure, there are people who are less than honest, but you just have to be careful about what you buy, ask for pictures, etc. And then photograph/video everything you send to other buyers. Small steps to help protect yourself, but overall it's wonderful!
If you try to get in touch with Poshmark... good luck with that. Their customer service is the worse. Also, watch out for sellers selling fake LV, Chanel, etc. It is amazing how this company has so many users. Their fees are 20% which is extremely high compared to sites like eBay. They say but we don't charge you to list. Well, actually eBay doesn't charge either nowadays with specials and when they do it is about ten cents. People sell on Poshmark mostly used clothing and very seldom describe any flaws. I would stay away from this site!
This website customer service is terrible, they are slow to respond and get their inquiries incorrect. I've lost sales and money because of it. I will never use again.
What a terrible site. The items are totally misrepresented. What I received was completely different than what I ordered and they do not allow returns. You are better off buying from another site.
They told me to send 20$ through PayPal and for shipping, I already send 20$ and don't respond my email
I recently sold my engagement ring on this site for 1600$. The original price was 3500. I listed photos of the ring along with the enhancer/engagement band but in the description i said " engagement/enhancer band NOT included". The ring was sent to poshmark headquarters first and was approved then sent to the buyer. The buyer sent a request for return in right away stating that i didn't include the engagement band. UM IT WASNT INCLUDED lol. Poshmark approved her return. How ridiculous. Why would you approve a return when the description clearly state that the band was not included. I tried calling customer care to find out they don't even have a customer care. I wanted to make sure the buyer includes insurance on the ring to make sure it is safely returned. There is not guarantee that this buyer will even send my ring back. So now i sit and wait a few days before christmas to receive this ring back and will have to re list it somewhere else because this site is a freaking joke and NOT safe. Please do not list expensive items on this site. The 20% they take is too much. No guarantee you will every receive your money... thanks for reading. Wish me luck!
I am strictly a buyer on Poshmark and have never been disappointed or mislead. I can say that I have had HORRIBLE experiences with Mercari (as a buyer) and would never recommend that place to my worst enemies! With Posh, I love the communication I have with sellers and the ability to make offers ect. If you love to shop for good deals as much as me, with a place you can TRUST, i suggest Posh!
This site is horrible! I shipped my $675 brand new shoes & never heard anything back from anyone. & I Never received my money. Horrible customer service can't even reach anyone!
After i sold my product they just suspended my deposit and never gets it! Sooo unfair dont use this awful site
I love poshmark. I've made over $13,000 in 7 months selling and being active in the PoshMark community. It is a social platform where you cannot just post and leave things to sell. You must share your closet and follow people and be social. Most of these lazy cows on here who leave bad reviews are not social nor do they grasp the entire concept of poshmark. Most of these reviews are written by competitors and their employees to slander the company of PM. All the other sites are in danger of failing due to poshmark a success. I'm a seller And haven't always had cases ruled in my favor but that's okay. It's life. Get over it and stop leaving bad reviews for NO reason. Kids and women these days are so entitled and assume way too often.
Was sold a sweater that was shrunken beyond wearability. Since the tag said XXS as described in the listing I was not allowed to get a refund or return it. What a scam. I'm done and moving on to eBay.
Never ever again! Sellers misrepresentation on items no phone number to customer service support and good luck returning item for misleading you into buying! They sell fake defective merchandise and your stuck with the stuff
All my sales when through with 5 star rating. When it was time for my direct deposit they have held the funds and not doing the direct deposit. It almost a grand which I saved in my balance for christmas, but now it's so awful that this has happened to me.
Posh isn't worth the risk! I have been a reputable seller, my account was locked for exposing a scammer, that tried to scam me. I put a listing in my closet warning others, I didn't even list the scammer's name just posted her "stolen" pics proving they were fake! The buyer has no protection! And customer service is nonexistent! The only way to contact them is through email, I don't even think they read the emails! I messaged them twice regarding this, I got the same generic email twice from two different people and it took days to get that! Now they are withholding my direct deposit, I don't know if its due to my account being locked!? I also made a down payment on an item... I'm sure I am out that money for sure! My account has had perfect sales/purchases every time until this instance. I urge anyone that has been scammed by this company to notify the Federal Trade Commission. It's nice being able to read reviews but the only way to stop this fraudulent behavior is to notify the proper authorities! You can also notify you state's Attorney General and the BBB. In the end the risk isn't worth it!
Use eBay or mercari. Poshmark has terrible customer service and they take too much money for shipping and seller charges. I will never use this site again after too many negative incidences with employees and other sellers
Poshmark USED to be a safe, friendly marketplace.
Now, all you can expect are users who leave harassing comments all over listings. Did I mention that Poshmark doesn't have a comment removal option? It's almost as if they don't trust the truthful sellers enough to allow for such simplicity.
After 115k+ in sales, I am done with the constant harassment which is (supposedly) not tolerated, according to their policies. Incredibly sad, to see an app with such potential, slowly go down the drain and lose loyal users due to intentional cyber bullying.
I bought a BCBG snakeskin clutch and when I received it I couldn't believe how horrible, cheap looking was! I took it to a BCBG store that confirmed it was a fake. I sent multiple emails with pictures and Posh at the end claimed the purse was authentic and would not give me my money back. Horrible customer service, what company doesn't have a number where you can talk to a person? I would not recommend this site to ANYONE!
I frequently shop from poshmark.com, I've always had purchases arrive on the date expected. Unlike other people the sellers whom I've purchased from kept up with everything (i. E. shipment/follow-up/delivery). I've made many purchases, and very rarely from the same seller, haven't been ripped off yet! I only buy NWT and have never heard of better bargains! It's terrible that so many people write bad reviews, I have nothing to say about the website. But don't base your judgement if you haven't shopped there yet! It's worth it. And sellers frequently add gifts to purchases. It is anything but a waste of time!
A colossal waste of time. They don't screen sellers or follow up with them to ever see if items are still available. If you buy something the seller gets 7 days to ship. When they don't, you have the option to try and contact them and then, if they don't reply, you can finally cancel the order.
Meanwhile think of the time you wasted & the opportunities you didn't pursue because you thought you had a great purse or shoes or whatever on the way to your house. There is no way to rate sellers and let people know that "this person doesn't ever SELL anything - they just list things and then ignore all communication, tying your money up for at least 10 days."
I bought a special edition Burberry bag no longer available in stores. When the bag came, I followed their instructions of reporting a problem with the order within 3 days, in fact I sent them the report the day I received the bag. They use typical "How to Authenticate Burberry Bags" online articles (also available to EVERYONE), in which anyone can make a bag to pass these "tests." I brought the bag to a Burberry Retail Store to get their opinion and Poshmark told me that these employees are not to be trusted, as if they are. Through numerous emails as they do not have a phone number available, they agreed to examine the bag themselves. I challenged them as how they can authenticate via pictures without touching the merchandise. They still stuck to their ground even though the Burberry employees pointed out the areas that made the bag questionable. They claimed to have a third party authenticate the bag as genuine but when I read the certificate of authentication, they only sent photographs. At this point, I put a credit card alert and found out that they released the funds to the seller, even though we were technically in dispute. They knew I would question the authentication via photographs again and after many emails issued me a refund, which they claimed as a rarity. It can be done with persistence, folks.
Answer: You've got to be smart about shopping online these days. There are scammers wherever you go. That said, if you follow the guidelines and steer clear from trading, which most sites don't condone, then you'll be fine. I've purchased over 100+ items on poshmark and have sold over 90+ with complete success, with the exception of the one time I decided to trade... I've purchased low prices items before and received junk a couple times, but Poshmark ALWAYS refunded me! Maybe I'm super savvy, so here's what I always do: 1. Always checkout the seller's reviews. 2. Always ask if there are any flaws with used items. 3. Always ask if sizing is TTS: "true to size" 4. And most importantly, always ask if it's authentic (unless otherwise specified in the description) These 4 questions have always led me to receiving exactly what I wanted and at half the retail price! Plus, it's so much fun! I've made a considerable amount of income from it, while also adding a nice set of items to my own closet! Good luck out there!
Answer: I have received every item I have ever bought on poshmark. It arrived on time and was in the exact condtion as was promised and how it appeared in the pics.
Answer: Well yes she received the boots and probably didnt like them or they didnt fit etc. she is trying to get her money back by trying to re sell them for 70.00 however she would only get 56.00
Answer: It took a long time, but today Poshmark said they refunded the entire purchase amount plus shipping because the booties I ordered were misrepresented. It took About a month and a half. Two times they offered me small credits toward another Poshmark purchase. I filed a very well documented (12 pages of emails, screen shots of the ad and screen shots of dialogue between me and the seller, Kimology) fraud claim with my credit card company, and I emailed Poshmark's customer service to advise them. Two days later they told me they were refunding my money. We'll see if that happens. Poshmark's customer service is terrible, but persistence paid off. Best of luck to you!
Answer: Ask probing questions: non-smoker? Ever been dry cleaned? How worn is it? Cats? Etc
Answer: I have the total opposite reaction to this question. This mystery group that decides what the outcome will be is ridiculous. You can't talk to anyone, and my last attempt to get support through emails, took one month! Not a fan of learning who the good sellers are by trial and error...
Answer: She probably stalked the other seller's listing and found you commented on the item you purchased. So technically, yes they can see what you buy as long as you commented something on the purchased listing.
Answer: Be careful on posh because they do not have your back. There is a lot of scandalous people on posh. Be careful on ebay as well. I bought a Michael Kors set on ebay that was listed as excellent condition but it was stained and reeked of cigarette smoke. Ebay did not refund my money. They said since it wasn't listed as brand new with tags I was screwed. I was out $315. Who wants a handbag and wallet that smells like shit? I think twice before buying on Ebay since that experience. Shame on the dishonest seller and Ebay for allowing that behavior. Good Luck!
Answer: Have you sent an email to Poshmark support? I have before and they did respond
Answer: You unfortunately cannot return an item if it doesn't fit. It's best to ask the seller the measurements of the item, if they tell you the wrong measurements you can return it. If they will not give you the measurements then don't buy from them. I'm new to selling on Poshmark and I will allow people to return their items if they don't fit because I believe that's what's right, you will find other good sellers!
