Its truly unfortunate that poshmark does not have a direct line but everything had to be done over email communications. Even that is done very inefficiently. I lost money on a watch which was supposed to be a men's watch ( danielle wellington) but the seller delivered a ladies watch. After multiple follow ups poshmark said, they can not do anything about it. Nowhere near amazon or ebay.
I've been a member of postmark for a few weeks now and the first thing I ordered smelled awful, I've washed it twice and still smells. That's not Poshmark's fault though, My gripe is with the shipping and seller fees they charge. They take 20% off your sale and require a flat rate shipping charge of $6.49! Most clothing packages would cost around $2-$3 to ship, which means they are making 20% plus an additional $4-$5 off of every sale.
I bought some great articles of clothing from a lot of honest sellers but I had two bait and switch sellers that Poshmark could care less that I was stiffed of 50 dllrs the first time and 72 dllrs the second time. The sellers were rude and careless. Also my bad reviews were erased so more than likely they did this to others.
I WOULD RATHER PAY FULL PRICE THAN TRUST THIS COMPANY!
I immediately contacted them when the defective item I purchased was received. Sent photos with five emails and they refused to take the defective item back.
Just had my first experience with Poshmark. Item arrived in about 3 days, and it's exactly as described. Pretty sure you just have to be careful who you buy stuff from. I'll totally shop here again!
I had a favorite pair of Steve Madden shoes that my dog happened to find as her favorite pair to chew the toe off of. I was thrilled when I saw what I thought were the same pair *******@valeriebaum's closet. When I received my "Steve Madden" shoes in the mail and compared the quality of them to my shoes. They were fake, cheap, plastic shoes. I submitted a request for refund with pictures that were reflecting the very obvious fact they were not authentic, Poshmark denied my return. Buyers BEWARE of Valerie and don't expect Poshmark to help you either. SCAM!
I purchased a LV keepall bag 2 years ago for $899 from a posh seller. This was right after posh concierge rolled out. The bag was first shipped to their concierge address where the bag was authenticated then shipped to me. Fast forward 2 years to May 2017. I listed the same bag for sale on po sh mark for $450. It sold. The buyer took the bag to a LV store where they deemed it not authentic. She opened a case. Now I'm not only out of the cost to ship/return ship my bag but I paid $899 for an aparent fake LV bag and Posh Concierge assured me it was authentic. I got effed. I'm going to attempt to get my money back from posh but if they dont agree what am I supposed to do?
I had an issue with shipping an item that I sold. I emailed customer service about the issue. While I was waiting to hear back from them (3 days the first time), they were emailing me to urge me to get my item shipped. I didn't want to ship until I had my issue addressed. They didn't address the issue in the first email, so I tried again. After 5 days of waiting for a response, I shipped the item and am out all the shipping fees. If they had just answered my email in a timely manner, I would have made a different decision.
They sold us a Tory Burch purse that was listed as in 'perfect' condition but the purse arrived in terribly worn condition (we have the photos to prove it) and they will not send a return label and give a refund. It's a classic Bait and Switch scheme. $150 plus $6.95 for S/H.
I have been on poshmark since 2013. I've sold and bought. I've never had a problem until the last week. I had a case against me due to someone "assuming" she got all three dresses even though were listed separately and different sizes and colors. Then, I got a 3 star rating for a pair of jeans I took pictures of the flaw. Then I she said the reason I got the lower review was "because the chain was broke(sic)" I posted pictures and descriptions of the chain. Smh. Common sense and the ability to read. Anyway, poshmark refused to take my side as a seller both times. I've been scammed as a buyer several times, and NEVER won my case, once being sold fake up. I don't get it. The customer service is abysmal, with no way of contacting them. I pulled my closet, and intend to file an actual complaint with the BBB and FTC. PROPER businesses take care of their buyers and sellers.
I ordered a black and white bebes bag and it didn't match the way it looked in the picture. The white part was very dirty and stained and the bag smelled terrible. I had to put it in the closet cuz it smelled so bad.
I have over 300 listings on Poshmark of stuff I no longer wear, all in great shape and most like new. I began buying on Poshmark, too. So far, I've not had a problem either buying or selling and I have purchased over 100 items. I have received so many nice things in the mail, I can't believe all of the complaints on here! Aside from people offering me $5 for a $75 sweater, I don't complain. I've mailed back one pair of shorts and a VS hoodie, and was refunded for both.
I have been using PM for a while now but haven't had a major problem until now. A buyer recently filed a report stating the item I sold wasn't as described & provided photos to PM only. As other reviews they ruled in the buyers favor and allowed the return. All the while I knew my item was new without tags &! No significant flaws. I received the supposed return yesterday only to find that this girl sent me her own DIRTY OLD T-SHIRT AND KEPT MINE! I am LIVID! I filed a complaint with Poshmark but have yet to hear from their support team. To top it off, they already released this scammer's funds back to her! BEWARE OF POSHMARK- unless they start taking DRASTIC MEASURES ASAP!
Even if you have sent them all the proofs that the buyer misled you in buying their items they will still decline your refund request. Only because they got a part of your money already! BS!
I have only been with Poshmark for 3 months and have already had 5 orders cancelled for questionable reasons and had a buyer lie that the very expensive shoes i sent her were fake. I complained to Poshmark right away that she was trying to scam me, they did nothing, other then to rule in her favor! Ignorant, they are 100% authentic, I am expecting to get fake shoes back if I get anything at all and they refunded the buyer. My plan is to send the item and a letter from my lawyer to corporate if my exact shoes are not sent back, and in the condition they were shipped out in. Extremely irresponsible way for a company to do business, I have five star reviews and have been a consistent shopper/seller, the buyer has no backround and is shady, yet none of this is looked at? Awful.
This site is deceptive. You would do better taking nice clothes to a local consignment shop. Twice I have ordered items that were discontinued on here. The first time, the item was frayed, worn and the wrong size. No returns are allowed unless the chief Dumpmaster decides the description was in error. I didn't bother. I just threw it away. The second time, the item stank with perfume or detergent or something. I laundered it and it did no good. The item is sitting my garage. So far the site keep pelting me with emails that make no sense. I made an attempt to file a complaint. Ultimately, I went to American Express and filed a dispute. Usually, that is the end of it.
I shop on Poshmark often, sometimes i find really cute items. Only thing however is I don't like how high the shipping is. Right now it is like at $6 something close to $7, when I first used the site it was around $4 something. Honestly I wish they would lower the shipping price because it adds up on the item price. I've had some bad sellers that never shipped the items out and posh refunded my money. So Pros: cute items, photos, you can talk to the sellers, you can view on a computer or through the phone app, submit offers etc. You can even sell your own stuff. Cons: high shipping, sometimes sellers don't have the item you purchase or the seller does not respond to your message on the item you bought. But aside from that as needed I still go on the site to look for items at times. I only gave it 3 stars only due to the Cons I had listed but overall good site concept.
I sold a pair of beautiful leather boots that were in excellent condition for pre-owned. No scuffs, no marks, heels and soles in excellent condition. The buyer opened a case claiming that the toes of the boots were very scuffed. Poshmark approved the return stating that the buyer had supplied photos proving that the points of boots were scuffed. I imagined the boots were going to come back to me ruined by the buyer. I received them back and they were in the excellent condition that I had sent them out in. Absolutely no scuffs! This was so bogus it wasn't even funny. I closed down my account and very happy to be no longer selling with this idiotic company! By the way, the boots were listed at $9 and she offered $7 which I accepted. These Boots should have sold for at least $25. You have to sell your stuff for nothing on Poshmark if you want to make a sale. Again, worthless website!.
The shoes didn't fit me and they wouldn't let me return them. Not to mention they were defective. Completely disgusting customer service and website ever.
Thank you Sheffield for the fast service, it arrived just in time!
What a nice gesture... the necklace is beautiful and I'll wear it on my trip.
God bless!
Answer: You've got to be smart about shopping online these days. There are scammers wherever you go. That said, if you follow the guidelines and steer clear from trading, which most sites don't condone, then you'll be fine. I've purchased over 100+ items on poshmark and have sold over 90+ with complete success, with the exception of the one time I decided to trade... I've purchased low prices items before and received junk a couple times, but Poshmark ALWAYS refunded me! Maybe I'm super savvy, so here's what I always do: 1. Always checkout the seller's reviews. 2. Always ask if there are any flaws with used items. 3. Always ask if sizing is TTS: "true to size" 4. And most importantly, always ask if it's authentic (unless otherwise specified in the description) These 4 questions have always led me to receiving exactly what I wanted and at half the retail price! Plus, it's so much fun! I've made a considerable amount of income from it, while also adding a nice set of items to my own closet! Good luck out there!
Answer: I have received every item I have ever bought on poshmark. It arrived on time and was in the exact condtion as was promised and how it appeared in the pics.
Answer: Well yes she received the boots and probably didnt like them or they didnt fit etc. she is trying to get her money back by trying to re sell them for 70.00 however she would only get 56.00
Answer: It took a long time, but today Poshmark said they refunded the entire purchase amount plus shipping because the booties I ordered were misrepresented. It took About a month and a half. Two times they offered me small credits toward another Poshmark purchase. I filed a very well documented (12 pages of emails, screen shots of the ad and screen shots of dialogue between me and the seller, Kimology) fraud claim with my credit card company, and I emailed Poshmark's customer service to advise them. Two days later they told me they were refunding my money. We'll see if that happens. Poshmark's customer service is terrible, but persistence paid off. Best of luck to you!
Answer: Ask probing questions: non-smoker? Ever been dry cleaned? How worn is it? Cats? Etc
Answer: I have the total opposite reaction to this question. This mystery group that decides what the outcome will be is ridiculous. You can't talk to anyone, and my last attempt to get support through emails, took one month! Not a fan of learning who the good sellers are by trial and error...
Answer: She probably stalked the other seller's listing and found you commented on the item you purchased. So technically, yes they can see what you buy as long as you commented something on the purchased listing.
Answer: Be careful on posh because they do not have your back. There is a lot of scandalous people on posh. Be careful on ebay as well. I bought a Michael Kors set on ebay that was listed as excellent condition but it was stained and reeked of cigarette smoke. Ebay did not refund my money. They said since it wasn't listed as brand new with tags I was screwed. I was out $315. Who wants a handbag and wallet that smells like shit? I think twice before buying on Ebay since that experience. Shame on the dishonest seller and Ebay for allowing that behavior. Good Luck!
Answer: Have you sent an email to Poshmark support? I have before and they did respond
Answer: You unfortunately cannot return an item if it doesn't fit. It's best to ask the seller the measurements of the item, if they tell you the wrong measurements you can return it. If they will not give you the measurements then don't buy from them. I'm new to selling on Poshmark and I will allow people to return their items if they don't fit because I believe that's what's right, you will find other good sellers!
