I had a pair of shoes that I loved and were looking for different colors in the same pair. I found it on Poshmark. I got them within about 4 days. Although worn before, they look as though they were not. And I got a very nice card inside from Sylvia thanking me for shopping in her closet. I will definitely use this site again.
I started selling on Poshmark in June of 2016 by selling nice clothes and shoes I would usually take to Goodwill or try to sell at a resale shop. I was able to keep a greater percentage from Posh than any resale shop I contacted and I could do everything from home and nothing was rejected. I both buy and sell on the sight and have never encountered any problems. I have noticed, however, my sales have slowed down since the increase in shipping. I wish there was some way to reduce the shipping cost. I think a lot more people would purchase items.
I ordered several items and never received them. I attempted to contact the merchant several times and when they responded they told me the items were delivered and I should check with my neighbors. I asked for a refund and they will not give it. I will not be ordering from them again and I advise others to avoid them as well.
CAN'T GET IN TOUCH WITH THEM. PHONE NUMBER NO LONGER IN SERVICE. SAY THEY WAIT 3 DAYS AFTER DELIVERY BEFORE THEY COMPLETE PAYMENT TRANSACTION BUT THEY DONT. ITEM NOT AS DESCRIBED BUT THEY HAVE NO WAY TO CONTACT THEM THAT I HAVE FOUND. RIP OFF. LOOKS LIKE THEY TAKE YOUR MONEY AND COULD CARE LESS IF THE CUSTOMER HAS ANY ISSUES. FIRST AND LAST EXPERIENCE DEALING WITH THEM. THEY SUCK
They don't have any actual customer service phone number that you can reach and have not responded to an issue i had. Its been more then 24 hrs. The site is cool but their service sucks
The people on this site are SO annoying. Bored housewives with cheap old clothes. They leave comments that they dream of buying my designer items. Who has time for this nonsense. It's only for super low end. I was able to sell some designer, but it was exhausting.
I have some money to receive from selling something with them but I cannot access the email where supposedly they sent me a code in order to set it up. So now I am stuck with this situation. I have emailed them 3 times and no response so far... How can a company like this not have a phone number for customer support?
As a buyer I will say I never had a problem until recently. I've ordered 3 pairs of sunglasses and the sellers were all great as well as the sunglasses. All were shipped out within 3 days and product was what I expected.
However, my recent purchase was a MK bag, seller abw93 never shipped it out. She never contacted me or kept me up to date. What bothered me is her account wss active the entire time. Seller was sent a reminder by Poshmark as well. I canceled the order and received my refund right away.
Other then the very bad experience with seller abw93, I never had a problem. I actually just ordered the same bag from another seller. I would negotiate the price a little but I would not lowball the sellers. They do have to make some kind of profit. And keep in mind, Poshmark does keep 20 percent.
Their fees are outrageous. More than even bigger sites that get more sales. Insane. I would stearate clear of this site. With the high fees you won't make much plus as buyers high fees means over priced items.
Avoid
This is a good app to sell all of your unwanted clothes. I made so much money off of it. Use my code "BROOKIE999" to earn $5 just by signing up!
Seller Desynow is rude and insulting, waited 2 weeks for an item that never shipped, when questioned she got rude and nasty! Wrote 5 complaints to Poshmark and they said they will refund my money and I should have it in 30 days! But nothing about the seller being rude or not following the rules!
Did have 2 seller that were great but this 1 and the way Poshmark handled it will make me stay away
I have to laugh at all the negative reviews on sitejabber regarding Poshmark.com. People, if you follow Poshmark's advice you will have few if any problems. We have had exactly one issue and it was the sellers fault, not Poshmarks. In fact, Poshmark quickly resolved the issue for us. Firstly, DO NOT respond to private email requests outside of Poshmark and then claim that it is Poshmark's fault when something goes wrong. Only sell through the Poshmark website! Do not PM anyone. More often than not you are getting scammed. Of course Poshmark charges you to sell on their website! You are paying for a service and for the the protection they provide if you sell the RIGHT WAY which is only through the website. You do not have to listen to lowballers just be patient and wait for someone to make an honest bid. If you follow their directions on sales and listings, Poshmark.com provides a safe and worry free method of selling high end items. We have no affiliation with Poshmark, I just hate to see them get blamed for other people's dumb mistakes.
Found this site by googling. I'm impressed & very satisfied with my first 2 purchases. Both buyers accepted my offer & the shirts arrived very quickly in excellent or even like new condition & wrapped in tissue paper and a 'thank you" card/note was included.!
I will probably continue to buy from this site.
Can't review on selling on this site since I haven't tried it.
I purchased 2 separate items from 2 separate sellers. One cancelled by the seller (did not have item any longer). One I cancelled after 8 days awaiting shipment with no response or communication from the seller.
Updated 2/28: My first experience with Poshmark I was selling a Tiffany ring. I had people try to low ball me as little as $20. I had people ask me to email them directly outside of poshmark (scammers) and the woman who purchased my item provided poshmark with the wrong address so I was never paid and the item was returned. I tried to contact customer service several times regarding the matter and got automated responses or a copy/paste response from some dude in India. Due to the high S&H on poshmark, people ask you to sell your item for off at times and try to get you to reduce costs so that shipping would be free. Every time I take money off an item it dings me and it isn't worth my time to sell an item for $2.50 profit. So 80% of my experiences have been great and drama free as a seller and buyer. 20% have been annoying. I had one lady buy a shirt from me that was listed as black and the label on the shirt said black. She received it and wanted to send it back because she said it was blue. Customer service is LOUSY. It took them forever to respond and the buyer took off with my item. After a month and threats to go to the BBB and attorney general, Poshmark refunded my money as the buyer never returned the item.
I have never had a more difficult time using a site than this one. No matter what I did, it kept telling me " user password/ email incorrect " would have loved to have gotten a few things I saw. Not worth the hassle.
Absolutely non-ethical company. Bought a dress, got dress, dress was labeled as a certain size but had clearly been shrunk. Zipper was warped, and wouldn't zip. Dress will never fit. Complained, and after a series of back and forth, they denied my return request because technically, the dress was the same size that was advertised. I explained that no, technically it wasn't. They would not even address the broken zipper, even after asking them point blank "why are you not addressing the broken zipper." In response, they actually told me in an email (so i have it in writing) that I can go ahead and try reselling the item. Enraged, I asked them if that is their typical policy, to knowingly encourage users to sell bad items so that they can continue to profit off of already high percentages of the sale. No response. I cannot even believe that a business can so transparently be this non-ethical. DO NOT USE Poshmark. There are far better clothes selling/trading sites.
Very terrible customer service and unhonest sellers. I had bad experience buying stuff there never expected to return the stuff even though you received a bag of poop.
I had made a purchase and never got the package. Not sure what happened to it. I had to dispute the charge with my credit card company. Poshmark basically threatened that if i did that it will result in: (1) their credit being affected and (2) they will suspend my account. Lo and behold, my account has been wiped out. It wasn't suspended as they had threatened, but they deleted all my listings. Wow, way to go losers. Can't believe this is how their customer service does business. And to think they only can be reached by email is what drives me nuts. What kind of business model is this? You're a tech company and can't even allow people to call you guys? I wished I had see all these reviews sooner. Instead of selling my stuff, i rather donate it to a charity and get a tax deduction. Puh-lease, Poshmark. I ain't scared of you. P.S. I hope your credit was affected because I could care less. Hah!
Run away from this shopping site if you're smart. You will get screwed! The seller I dealt with is a joke and so is the customer service from poshmark.
Answer: You've got to be smart about shopping online these days. There are scammers wherever you go. That said, if you follow the guidelines and steer clear from trading, which most sites don't condone, then you'll be fine. I've purchased over 100+ items on poshmark and have sold over 90+ with complete success, with the exception of the one time I decided to trade... I've purchased low prices items before and received junk a couple times, but Poshmark ALWAYS refunded me! Maybe I'm super savvy, so here's what I always do: 1. Always checkout the seller's reviews. 2. Always ask if there are any flaws with used items. 3. Always ask if sizing is TTS: "true to size" 4. And most importantly, always ask if it's authentic (unless otherwise specified in the description) These 4 questions have always led me to receiving exactly what I wanted and at half the retail price! Plus, it's so much fun! I've made a considerable amount of income from it, while also adding a nice set of items to my own closet! Good luck out there!
Answer: I have received every item I have ever bought on poshmark. It arrived on time and was in the exact condtion as was promised and how it appeared in the pics.
Answer: Well yes she received the boots and probably didnt like them or they didnt fit etc. she is trying to get her money back by trying to re sell them for 70.00 however she would only get 56.00
Answer: It took a long time, but today Poshmark said they refunded the entire purchase amount plus shipping because the booties I ordered were misrepresented. It took About a month and a half. Two times they offered me small credits toward another Poshmark purchase. I filed a very well documented (12 pages of emails, screen shots of the ad and screen shots of dialogue between me and the seller, Kimology) fraud claim with my credit card company, and I emailed Poshmark's customer service to advise them. Two days later they told me they were refunding my money. We'll see if that happens. Poshmark's customer service is terrible, but persistence paid off. Best of luck to you!
Answer: Ask probing questions: non-smoker? Ever been dry cleaned? How worn is it? Cats? Etc
Answer: I have the total opposite reaction to this question. This mystery group that decides what the outcome will be is ridiculous. You can't talk to anyone, and my last attempt to get support through emails, took one month! Not a fan of learning who the good sellers are by trial and error...
Answer: She probably stalked the other seller's listing and found you commented on the item you purchased. So technically, yes they can see what you buy as long as you commented something on the purchased listing.
Answer: Be careful on posh because they do not have your back. There is a lot of scandalous people on posh. Be careful on ebay as well. I bought a Michael Kors set on ebay that was listed as excellent condition but it was stained and reeked of cigarette smoke. Ebay did not refund my money. They said since it wasn't listed as brand new with tags I was screwed. I was out $315. Who wants a handbag and wallet that smells like shit? I think twice before buying on Ebay since that experience. Shame on the dishonest seller and Ebay for allowing that behavior. Good Luck!
Answer: Have you sent an email to Poshmark support? I have before and they did respond
Answer: You unfortunately cannot return an item if it doesn't fit. It's best to ask the seller the measurements of the item, if they tell you the wrong measurements you can return it. If they will not give you the measurements then don't buy from them. I'm new to selling on Poshmark and I will allow people to return their items if they don't fit because I believe that's what's right, you will find other good sellers!
