I found here a lot of interesting people to communicate with. With some of them I still meet and spend great time!
If you want to find friend, come to POF
All fakes or prostitutes full of people trying to scam you if you complain they will ban you for life they tell you your lying even though you show them proof
A bunch of fake profiles who you can't trust. The real profiles end up paying for it with distrust of all. Shame on POF... And the low life's who abuse it.
I did not sign up under this site, but I'm getting notifications. I can't even see my own profile (I can't reset password). So, obviously this site is full of frauds.
I have been using it for a few weeks and I think it is an A+ dating site. MANY members but many weirdos. I personally prefer Mingle2day or Match but this one works too.
It's not free. To read your emails from other potential people you have to pay. 40 dollars for two months. Robotic messages, emails from so called other people looking to hook up. The company don't respond to your emails nor do they return phone calls. & you will notice the numbers online are false. My bank had a number and I tried to call. All nonsense. It's horrible. Scary. I want them and every other scum bag out there to stay away from me and my family. Me and my son. It was a total scam for me. I do notice they have complaints online. I should have checked first. It's harassment from other alleged people. They canceled my picture after I paid. They won't let you cancel your account out until you pick one of their bull choices for leaving. The real reason not even listed. After you contact them to cancel because you find out it's nonsense they tell you no refunds online they send you an automatic response. Our country sucks. They don't help people. I had to cancel my bank card before the payment went thru to make sure I received my money back. This site is bull too. You shouldn't have to register... and it doesn't tell you until after you type this out.
After awhile you can't get into your own profile & theres no one or no way of getting it removed. I have 2 profiles & cant get into either of them. It has to be a better way to find love.
They recently made changes. I don't much care for them. It used to be you could see users who viewed you. Now they show you 3. If you want to see more - upgrade. I've been on and off this site for a long time and it seems like most of the women "only accepts messages from upgraded users". Well... they'll miss out on me. I'm not willing to pay to message someone unless there is some mechanism that would force themn to reply to the user who upgraded so they could say hello. It would suck to pay money to be ignored. The search seems to ignore the criteria - I specified 57 to 65 and I am seeing women in their 40's and 70's. What I think they really need to do, and the software should be able to do it - if a person only wants messages from someone under a certain age, and you are over that age - don't show their profile as a match or in a search. If they only accept messages from upgraded users and you aren't upgraded - don't put them in the search or match results. Oh yes... the scammers are as busy as ever. "Age is just a number" or "love doesn't care about age" and it's a woman who says she is 64 but in reality is 35 because "I made a mistake on my birthdate and can't change it". It used to be an okay site, but not anymore.
Complete lack of profile validation. Limits on age range searches.
Pretty much the only good-looking people on the site are fake profiles that are trying to sext with you. There are a few decent-looking guys, if you can ever get through the hordes of fake profiles. By the time you are talking to a real man, you are completely cynical.
Also, you are pigeonholed by age group. So if you are a middle-aged woman (pretty much one of the target demographics), you can only search seven years below your age, but men twenty years older than you can view and like your profile. Meaning, lots of gross old dudes can look at you but you have a very limited inventory of decent men to look at... and most of the good-looking ones are fake profiles wanting to sext with you.
The POF messaging is this: If you are a very attractive, athletic, successful, intelligent middle-aged woman, you are out to pasture with men that can't get out of their Lazy Boy recliners.
Apparently, grown men and women need this company to dictate who they are allowed to be attracted to. Bumble is a million times better for women.
So Irishlucky83 which is Craig Stevens in real life lies about his profile. He does not tell women that he has some severe mental illnesses that can make him very obsessive. He comes off saying he has a construction job when he has no job at all and lives off of SSDI. He also does not tell you that he has no manners, drinks non-stop and is very childish. My experience with this individual was he had some major issues, often drinking, smoking pot and cigarettes while taking mental meds, anti psychotic drugs, his behavior was very child like and he has no friends because he starts fights with all of them. I stayed for awhile because i thought i could help this person because he does come off likeable but once i saw how he watched me from his porch, got mad at me for having friends and thought i should spend every waking minute with him it all begin to be a little much so i let him go. Beware of this person he has bad issues with women due to he and his mothers relationship issues and he cannot let go of the past that is all he talks about all the time. He will come off nice then drain the hell out of you. I wish him well in life but i am serious beware. Pof is exactly where he found me and everything on that site is a lie.
Pof advertise free dating site but if you don't upgrade to pay for it then you are blocked from logging in. Pof forces a person to upgrade or you can't use the site.
I am so frustrated with Plenty of Fish. I cannot delete my account. It rejects my sign in then allows me to request password, then rejects my email address.
HELP!
I was on pof for two weeks.
I seen many fake profile with fake locations.
I was nice, I thought it was not to bad considering it's free but then my account was deleted with absolute no explanation.
I like POF as I have met some nice guys there. I like that they have socials in various places that one can attend and you don't have to be a paid member to go.
I just wanted to let everyone know that this site works great if you give it a chance I met my wife on POF 9 and a half years ago we got married after 3 and a half years after we met and were married for 6 years sadly she passed away July 19th of this year but because of this site i met my soulmate and there was a happy ending for both of us im crushed now but I would not be where i am today if it was not for POF
If you are expecting to find the woman of your dreams you will have a long wait
Just rammed full of single mums, women who are way past their best yet still want a guy who is way out their league. I just laughed when I saw women in their 40s say they only want someone is is 6'3 tall dark handsome and are willing to wait as they know their worth. Entitlement is off the charts
Even on the headline they are incredibly negative with things like are all men cheats? Either that or they are complaining they cant see likes and dont have meet me, they could pay to see but wont or they could easily find out who clicked like but either cant be bothered or are too dumb. I got so tired of reading cant see likes message me that I gave up
Most profiles are blank and say? Or fill in later, the rest are full of childish demands or toxic negativity just whining about how bad everything is and how all men are really terrible. It hasnt crossed their minds to try and be happy and cheerful in the profile
Stay away from this website there are a lot of guys out there that wants money from you, especially the ladies that are looking for true love. These guys prey on the lonely, I know because it happened to me. The man I met on here took me for everything I had and left me in utter debt. If you see the name Joseph Durmus BEWARE! He will take you for everything you have. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS SITE FOR ANYONE LOOKING FOR TRUE LOVE.
POF is a decent site though there are a lot of fakes that is almost unavoidable when it comes to dating sites. It still provides a decent service when trying to meet local women.
I'm a male. Being on here had taught me what to look out for when it comes to profile pics. If the camera angle is looking down on the face- they are fat whales. If they aren't smiling they are boring in life. If they have "just ask me" then they are bland.
You are going to find bad fish and good fish every where you go. Worse are found in a bar. At least here on PoF I have fun rambling on and making new connections. The trick to not having to pay is linking your email to send you notices when someone likes you. Then do a username search to see who it is. Otherwise, you have to pay to see who likes you or wants to meet you.
Tips. Use more than 1 pic. Be funny. Have different pics to show your personality. Treat it like a job resume. If you don't catch their attention in the first 30 seconds you are going to be on sitejabber complaining that pof is a scam. It's up to you to make it work.
I have used it for relationships in the Los Angeles area for over two years now. I have a fear of commitment... so the two years is my fault. Not PoFs.
I talked to 15 different women all were fake all red but exact same script to me word for word and they also only asked me to send them money in the form of cryptocurrency
Answer: Oh yes, they want you to upgrade and pay! But when you pay you will see these profiles who you liked or who liked you disappear. They were nothing but bait-and-switch. You gain nothing when you pay, it's the silliest way to spend money. Are you looking for hook up or relationship? I wanted a relationship and I was really frustrated by Pof. Eventually I found what I was looking for on https://j4l.com/402007 But I've lost nearly a year on Pof. Not to mention emotional drain and money!
Answer: I just deactivated my account. This site is a sewer. Do not pay anything for this site or any site. I searched for free on other site( even paid ones you can search for free) and I saw the same guys on most of the other sites as well. I'm gonna grow old alone unless luck steps in and maybe I'll meet my guy IRL.
Answer: Yes it is if it's anything like my phone having the app sometimes shows that you're online all the time
Answer: Delete AND contact the company. If you know who took your pictures be sure to include the name on the profile that your pictures were used on, so they can deal with that person. Once you have deleted your profile, everything is GONE. I have never had anybody use my pictures on any other sites. I'm no great beauty, that could be the reason, Still, once your profile is deleted, everything is gone.
Answer: You cannot do it from the mobile site. You need to use your search, example safari and look up pof desktop version and go to the help in the top left. It will walk you thru it, if I remember correctly. Good luck
Answer: First, write to POF and explain. Now, and I mean NOW call up your credit card company and tell them what happened. I am sure POF will not contact you. Make sure to use the word "unacceptable" when describing the consumer service to the CC company about POF. Keep all emails too. Please keep me posted. Thanks Ann B.
Answer: STAY AWAY FROM THIS SCAMMING SITE! Any good you hear from or about it... DUH ITS THE SCAMMERS THAT WORK FOR EM. I been booted so many times due to unpopularity cuz i wont date trash so i get booted they keep your money they are garbage
Answer: Fake doesn't really describe them... more like downright liars!
Answer: Golden rule #1: Do onto others as you would have them do unto you Golden rule #2: Anything that sounds to good to be true, is not. Golden rule #3: Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.
Answer: POF is not free at all, you have to upgrade; become a paying member to be able to do anything interesting.
