If u want to meet someone, the internet dating game, is a no go. Go to the Supermarket, go for a walk, go the the library or for a walk on the beach or go to your local food & produce & Art & craft markets to meet someone,

POF is loaded with fake profiles and Nigerian scammers. You're lucky if 5% of the women on POF are real. Use POF at your own risk, because you'll get scammed.

Avoid POF like the plague, the site is a waste of time and joke. A majority of the women on the site are only looking to waste time with you texting them, but have no intention of meeting up in person. I have also noticed when you call the women out on their bull$#*! they get pissed off. Beware of the women that have sex for money, they are on the site as well, but list the profession as stay at home mom or other. After being on POF I have basically lost all respect I have for women, the site is full of the entitled single moms that think the world owes them something and should help them with the mistake they made by having kids they barely can support. Do not pay for a membership on this site I have noticed that they will send out many meet me emails of people that want to me you, but when you go on the site to look for some odd reason that people have deleted their profiles from the site, this is clearly a way for the owners of POF to sucker someone out of paying for a memembership. I am sure a majority of those meet me emails of users are fake.

Not a chance

The objective of dating sites is to make money, and dating sites are data driven decision-making scams, specifically, POF.com is the leader of the group.

1. Excessive number of scammers on POF, and based on the trends of scammers that I experienced, I have a good reason to believe that they were POF induced scammers.

2. The purpose of using an online dating site to be exposed to people outside of your circle, BUT POF determines who sees your profile and which profiles that you see. I view hundreds of profiles profiles, but the only women who viewed mine were athletically-challenged women and I hadn't viewed any of them. Using a photo of me dancing would attract women because most women like to dance therefore a photo of a male dancing would certainly attract their curiosity.

3. I have sent emails within POF, and POF blocked the emails, preventing people from receiving them... I know because of tests that we conducted. POF manipulates your communications.

4. POF's "Meet Me" displayed 4 people selecting me, and minutes later, it indicated 3 people (there were no scammers at this time). As a result, you don't know how people are interested in you.

5. During research, two profiles in the same geographic area and age (different ethnicity), did not have access to the same set of profiles to view.

I was on Plenty of dogs for about a year looking for a woman who was in my league, I'm 6 foot tall 165LBS with a six pack, I work out 5 days a week. I own a very successful business, a beautiful house and car. I have average looks and a great build. NO KIDS! The only dogs on POF that would give me the time of day had 2 or more kids with a dead end job OR no job at all! Most were as THEY say a few extra pounds which means 80 pounds or more overweight, no car and some kind of mental or physical issue. I MET one who needed a heart transplant, another who needed a lung transplant and another who needed a liver transplant and 5 others with fibromyalgia and out out these five 2 couldn't drive due to pain and seizures. The website barely works. So you can expect the servers to crash just about every 2 hours. So what can be worse than a website that barely works you ask? There have been certain aspects of the website that the developers decided to implement that render it frustrating and a horrible experience.

Example #1: You have a limit on how many messages you can send a day. The worst part is, the website doesn't even tell you when you've reached your limit! You could be sending messages all day (to which the website displays sent) and the messages aren't even delivered! Be careful too, because if you do go over your 40 a day limit (which you have to keep count yourself) you will be permanently IP banned.

Example #2: The website is a scam. Plain and simple. You'll often be notified that there are women in the area that want to "meet you". Come to find out, this is a feature that's only available to paying members, so if you have any interest in seeing who these people are, plan on paying a monthly fee. Free dating website? Hardly.

Example #3: The website is hideous. It honestly doesn't look it's been updated since 2005. Navigating the website is confusing and slow.

Example #4: Don't actually expect to meet anyone. This website barely has a userbase for anyone not living in a large city. That is, unless, you want to meet really old women with nothing better to do than log on this website.

Just stay away. This website doesn't even deserve 1-star. Way too generous.

POF does NOTHING when I report fake profiles. I know they are fake because the pix are of an obscure foreign actor or singer (do a simple Google Images check of photos that seem too good to be true or the guy says he is 52 but the picture is clearly of someone under 30). This guy continues to create profiles with pix of a married Egyptian drummer. I have notified POF yet this scammer/loser/creep continues to post:

Be VERY cautious and careful. Again, always do a Google Images check. Scammers also tend to say they are pet lovers and widowed (I can't believe how many men under 50 are widowed)!

There are also MANY disgusting nude pix but again, POF does NOTHING.

POF is so fake. The majority of the profiles are all fake. I sent 20 instant messages to different women and asked for a response if it it was a courtesy response of 'no thanks'. Not a single response. I then chose 10 of those 20 and sent a follow up note and asked if they are real profiles'... again, no response. POF shows that those FAKE profiles 'looked' at your profile, but that is pretty simple to do by POF to cross reference those FAKE profiles and then show that they looked at your profile. Then there is the issue of the 'meet me' app. That too is a way to lure you into signing up and paying for this FAKE site. I received 40 'meet me' requests right after I posted a picture of myself. I then searched POF for about 20 of those profiles and guess what? They were NOT anywhere to be found. The 'meet me' app is a clever way to seduce you into paying a fee. I even contacted a few of the less desireable women that show up on POF and those that were as homely as possible to see if they are real and guess what? They don't respond. I had to do this experiment to see just how much of a rip off this site is and I was not surprised to see how bad it really is. Stay away!

I've been quite active on POF for 4 years now & I always kept 3k credits on my profile to gift streamers on versus & barely used the credits & one day I woke up to 400 credits left remaining on my account... I never gifted anyone 2600 credits & would never gift anyone that much but I cannot seem to figure out why my credits have disappeared; I just know that I WASN'T HACKED... THIS A POF ISSUE!... PLEASE BEWARE OF THIS PLENTY OF FISH APP PEOPLE

I ended up going on two dates on the POF website it was absolutely horrible the men on this website are drowning in life and looking for somebody to latch on to and suck the life out of them as well my last experience that I had this guy was very handsome and great in all of his pictures and then when I met him face-to-face oh my goodness I have no words to describe it wasn't just physical appearance his status was illegal he had no car he had no job has lost all of his kids he was a drug addict a meth addict same thing with the last first one I dated on this site I can honestly say the worst ones are on the free site so if they don't have to pay for a membership for the dating app I would highly recommend to stay off of that site because anybody that is a blood-sucking fiends is not going to pay for a dating website lesson learned never ever ever again I just talked texted all of this so if it looks funny that is why good luck everybody stay the hell away from POF

Why is it that POF continues to let men put up profiles that have used their site to meet women with children or granddaugthers for their own gratification? I met a man on POF and we moved in together. In the time we lived together he kept insisting my granddaughter come stay with us. I found out exactly why he wanted this to go on. When I confronted him he broke my arm? Our case is currently in police hands but when I was searching the profiles there he was again. He has used someone else's photos but it is him and he says he is in Minnesota when in actuality he is in Virginia. They use to have a testimonial section so at least other women could be warned about a man like this but now it is gone most likely because women warned other women about men like this. While POF continues to let him have a profile he can continue to do what he has done in the past. They are enabling him to find women and they share some of the responsibility for what he does when they have been made aware of the situation. Can a dating site be held liable for enabling a man like this?

This site is garbage. I tried to log into my POF account this morning coming to realize that POF deleted my account for no reason. Following all the rules and guidelines thinking I'm not a REAL PERSON when I am. I have professional modeling photos. For your information I am NOT A FAKE PROFILE. Therefore my account should NOT have been deleted..
