All 5 of the people who contacted me, whom I responded to were fraudulent characters. My website on POF was reset while a fraudulent account with my name and pictures appeared. When I called for help, I was told that they could fit he problem for me for $350.00. My credit card and email account were compromised as well. This is a known activity by the owners of POF. If I could select 0, I would. The only reason I selected 1 was because there was no "0". DO NOT USE THIS SITE!

The POF site itself is good. It was created to bring people together. However, bad people go anywhere good people go. It's sad that POF is flooded with scammers, creeps and freaks. I have been on the site on/ off since 2007. Met some nice friends on POF. But as of 2016, All I have came in contact with is aggressive scammers, creeps and freaks. One really creepy guy that I was talking to started talking to me about he worked in a morgue and how he watched a man have sex with dead bodies. How sick is that! Another guy wanted me to talk dirty to him so he could sleep at night. Another guy wanted me to help him out on his rent because he was between jobs, this is only after talking to this man just two weeks. Then there's the African love rat, who create fake profiles, using other people pictures they stole off the Internet. I was talking with a handsome white male from my hometown but when I actually heard his voice he had a horrible African accent. The voice did not match the picture. Plus this guy did not know anything about the town he said he was born in. I tried to navigate through all the scammers, creeps and freaks to find a nice man friend but it was damn impossible to find a good person. And there is the old ugly winkle beer belly men who want to be players going from one woman to the next. Also you got rapists, ex-cons, narcissistic people, drug addicts, alcoholics, sex workers and the mentally ill people all on POF. It's good people on the site but you gotta go through hell to find them.

Been on this site off and on since 09 and have had nothing but bad experiences nothing but gay and bi guys the ones who aren't gay or bi are married just there to cheat. Let's not forget the fake profiles con artist and the guys get a lot of cam girls. The site Master will delete your account and doesn't even reprimand you or give you a warning all it takes is you to call out some married man who's there to cheat on his wife and have him report you & the site will delete you. Kind of messed up when married men on there to cheat on their wives have more right there than a single woman trying to meet someone

I just became a member few days back as had many bad experience as false pictures and overseas scammers as email chats I have had with them proven they were scammers as they stopped reply.

Pictures that don't belong to them as kids pictures as just to make other side believe and trust.
Request information as they don't even know where they live as!

I am willing to give you feedback on conversations as these people should be stopped in cleaning this chat site also honest single people out there.

I've been called a fat whale, a piece of sh! T, gosh, those are just some jems off the top of my head. Most guys want to know my bra size and see naked pics. Most of these dudes are already in a relationship.

I've had guys invite me over. Like forget manners, or, gasp, a date. Let's get to the free sex part where it is delivered to my lazy azz. Uh yeah, these guys are creatures that you do not want to subject yourself to, trust me!

Most dating sites are a complete waste of time and money. I have been on several. You fill out your profile and what you are looking for but clearly most of the men can't read or comprehend what they read. I always put I am interested in dating but would like to have a long term relationship, I am not looking for a hook up. What responses do I get all the time "what positions do you like", "do you like oral". The men that I have encountered are the most ignorant uneducated bunch of losers. I decided that I think to much of my self worth to bother with these loser,, and ladies take my advice save your money, time and effort go to a bar.

POF is the same as any other dating site.
1. lots of fat women
2. Lots of tattooed women
3. Lots of deluded women who think Brad Pitt is just around the corner waiting to date them
4. Lots of dishonest women (one old hag even put up photos of her daughter!)
5. Hordes of frumpy boring single moms who truly believe they are the ultimate prize.
6. Mostly just lazy females who think you will bend over backward to be with them.

Treat all dating sites as a joke and nothing more. If you do end up with someone worthwhile, buy a lottery ticket, because you are one lucky sob.

If you're serious about a decent partner, contact women from developing countries, you'll be glad you did, they are 10 times better in every respect than the trash on offer in your country. Try SE Asia, Africa, there are so many stunning women form these places and they will date much older men becuase the seem to understand what men want, which is in contrast to all the rampant cougarism which is rife amongst women of all ages who they they are able to commend much younger men (no ownder they are online for decades).

SE Asia Its where I found my wife, she is better than any western woman I have ever dated. The narcissistic deluded self-entitled gold-digging women on all dating sites did me a huge favour. By making me look elsewhere and finding a gem.

There are of course decent women to be found in Western countries, but they are such a small percentage. Most women these days are so narcissistic, self centred, and full of themselves they will only spell trouble for any man that ends up with them. Forget about loyalty, especially if you have any assets, they will only too gladly divorce you and drain you for everything they can get. Dont do it to yourself. Western women will ruin your life, the have no other loyalty but to themselves.

I stayed with plenty of fish for quite a while, even paying for extra membership just to give it a second and third chance. I believe there's a lot of false profiles on there or customers that were previously on there but have left the site and not had their profile removed. I would be happy with a refund but believing there's nothing that they will do about it I'll count my losses. And I would absolutely not recommend it to friends family or close acquaintances, I truly feel it's been a waste of money and they're cashing in on the fact that people want to find dates and relationships. With all that said I would like Plenty of Fish to remove my profile and no longer have it posted under false pretenses that people believe that they are interacting with me when I'm not truly on the site.

I've used this dating site on and off for 7 years now and although it's always had its faults there would always be the odd decent person of the op sex to chat with and date. For the past 4 months the site has been flooded with scammers and fake profiles with women promoting Sex sites, with the management seemingly powerless to stop. The amount of female users has dropped significantly and it's just simply not worth the effort as a decent guy seeking to date likeminded women. The women who use it now seem to use it for chat and entertainment purposes or just a toy to boost their ego. If your going to use a free dating site bAddo seems to be now the new POF. Many of my friends have erased their POF accounts and use tinder or bAddo. Without new ideas POFs dying on its feet at the moment.

I am a single woman who joined this website in hopes to find a man friend that might develop into more. All I found was online predators. I met a few men and even casually dated 2 on there, seperately, each for about 6 weeks. They were ONLY after a 'hook up'!... when one I was seeing found out I was serious after all, as I clearly stated in my profile!, he disappeared. The other one showed up unannounced at my door when I told him I could not get together (because I had to work 6 days that week and was exhausted)! I had to tell him to cease all contact with me or I would call the police!
Received countless emails and had countless exchanges with some who once they found out I was not into 'hooking up', they dropped off (even though I clearly stated that in my profile!)
Met one for coffee... looked nothing like his picture at all! My pictures were all taken within 1 month! Met another for coffee who blew me off afterwards because I did not 'hug' or engage his attempt at physical contact (yes... on the first coffee meet!)
I also found a scammer who had 15 profiles! (Deanovino 59/ Denome 59/Deanoc 59... ect and all with the same picture!). I kept blocking him and he would show up in my 'viewed me' section under a different name! I did report him of course, and no response from the site.
AVOID this hook up site if you are genuinely looking for a potential relationship.

I was on and off POF for several years. I met and dated several fun people. No problem, ever. No shirtless pics, no profanity, ever. Good POF user as fat as I'm concerned.

Then I briefly corresponded with a woman who apparently had a chip on her shoulders. After several friendly messages, there came a lot of hostility about my not responding in a timely manner. Said she was going to clock me. My fatal retort? I quoted Douglas Adams Hitchhiker's Guide and wrote back, "So long and thanks for all the fish." That was it.

My account was deleted, though I was never officially informed of the fact. Forget about the other correspondences. There is no possible appeal, no recourse. Period. The end.

So, my advice to prospective users is to ask themselves if they want to enable this abusive wielding of power. My answer: No, never again.
