Awful customer service experience, probably the worst I have ever had. The rep and the manager both argued with me, and when I mentioned that the rep didn't have the English language skill required for the job, I was called "discriminatory" LOL! As if pointing out a crappy skill is discrimination, no wonder these people are awful. Americans need to stop taking this kind of crap from people all over the globe. I HAPPILY argued with that manager until he hung up but I doubt he learned any manners. And GUESS WHAT? I Cancelled my order to pay $600 more at UPACK. GET BENT, PODS!
The point of this business is to get into your wallet. If you place your trust in them you will walk away with a lot less cash. They charged us relentlessly and then cost us 400.00 in extra labor charges because they couldn't open their own pod.
Just don't waste your time on them. They only caused more anxiety with their poor service.they are not accessible with any technical issues and it takes 4-5 hours to reach any body on the phone. What a waste of my time and money!
I made the mistake of storing my leather furniture in a pod. When I received the pod from the storage facility I found mold on my leather furniture. I have been back and forth with a claims person for a while and the final word is when you store with Pods you store at your own risk.
Bottom line if you are thinking about storing your leather furniture with Pods please find another option. At this point i am out of luck on mine.

First time using Pods to move my family from PA to Fl. They were quick to deliver August 14th and take our money but now to get the POD delivered! What a joke! We won't get the POD till Sept 13 because they are so backed up! We will get to stay in our new house with no furniture now because they can't deliver in time! What an awful company and terrible experience it has been for my family so far.
Made arrangements with PODS to move from Ohio to Colorado. I have been in Colorado for three weeks to find a job and an apartment. Called to make arrangements for delivery only to be told that the container was still in Ohio and that I should have called them to let them know I wanted the container moved. WHAT?! So I made the arrangements, paid them the money and then I should have called them to tell to move the container?! Are you serious?! Do I need to drive the truck for them too? Now it's going to cost me nearly an extra $1800 to stay at a hotel because they can't get my container to me until two weeks later all due to their incompetence and idiocy. Absolutely inexcusable.
PODS touts flexibility and convenience. Considering the inflexibility of NYC lease dates, I was sold. And duped.
We filled a POD in NYC on May 26 for a move to Chicago. As of June 9, the Pod was still sitting in NYC and they had no capacity for redelivery for another 4 weeks. Meanwhile, we already signed a new lease in Chicago and have the added cost of temporary housing while laying for an empty apartment.
Update after negative review: a customer service rep found a cancellation date for 1 week earlier. They also removed the $329 fee for "storing" the pod past the initial month, since it's their failed operations that is holding it past a month.
Summary: PODS was not flexible, not convenient, and not an affordable option due to their overbooked schedule preventing redelivery within a reasonable timeframe. Budget for delays and cost of temporary housing when booking with PODS.
They charged me twice the same amount and refused to refund. After four calls, two text chats and three emails were in vain, I had to dispute via my bank. Borders criminal activity!
PODS left their pod out for longer than scheduled and charged me $350 extra - on top of $5,000+ (for a cross country move). Result: I had to pay for their screw up because PODS SENT IT TO COLLECTIONS FOR $350 WHEN IT WAS THEIR SCHEDULING ISSUE. << NOT TRUSTWORTHY >>
What a horrible excuse for a company!
We contracted with PODS to bring a pod for us to load and then move to our new property the following month.
Everyone we spoke to at their local office and corporate said no problem delivering on gravel driveways.
The drivers, who were rude, obnoxious and looked like derelicts, refused to deliver on our gravel driveway even after seeing the property and going down the gravel access road.
Then the driver took off with our pod fully loaded and refused to bring it back to our rental house where they picked it up.
They instead took the pod - fully loaded with our personal property - to their facility over 40 miles away.
Then they refused to allow us access to our property for 3 full days.
Their misrepresentations, incompetence and gross negligence cost us over $1,000.00 in damages.
They never respond to any calls, letters or even legal notices to rectify the situation.
I eventually had to file suit against them in small claims court to recover damages.
They eventually settled and paid all damages but even that took several weeks with yet more complications.
I strongly encourage everyone to avoid this company like the plague!
I should preface by saying I personally have not used PODS, but after our experience with them I never will and will advise everyone I know to avoid them. We spent a week and a half trying to have one of their containers removed from our driveway after closing on our house. It was impossible to reach the local facility and every call to the corporate number we were given conflicting information or told it would be "picked up within 24 hours." (This happened 3 separate times.) At one point we were even told the container owner was deceased. We had our real estate agent and the seller's agent also reaching out. Our agent went as far as emailing the CEO Kathy Marinello who essentially blamed us for the seller being shady with a rather snarky response.
"Sadly our employees are subject to customers who don't pay their bill, nor adher to their contracted responsibilities. The seller left their garbage, refused to answer phone calls as well as pay their bill. Our employees ultimately are impacted by these consumer behaviors. In this case, your buyer received free garbage removal services. We received nothing for compensation to our great employees. But that is no concern of yours."
While I appreciate leadership that stands up for their employees, perhaps consider going after the people that breached their contract for damages before blaming the people that used you for "free garbage removal services" and for your failure to factor in how to compensate employees appropriately when issues arise. A fish rots from the head down.
When I received Pods final bill for our move from Texas to Tennessee, I disputed with my credit card company a charge for insurance while the Pods containers were in their storage warehouse. Pods told my card company that the charge was for transport of the Pods and that it was a valid charge. We disputed the charge because via the phone we had told Pods we did not want the insurance and also pointed out that the total charge was clearly for insurance, not transport. When we tried to log into our online account to review the information and documentation that we had we found that Pods had locked us out of our account (is that even legal?). When we call them we reach foreigners who have no authority and who send us collection emails to which we cannot respond. I suggest that if you plan to sign a contract with them that you read it line by line; and, if you asked for or told them something different over the phone that you get Pods agreement in writing. The contract that you sign may have something entirely different than what you agreed on and Pods will hold you to the written contract, ignoring the verbal agreement.
I love the tide products but the tide pods were a waste of my money. I read the instructions and did as it told me to do.
Every load l did l had the pod stuck to our clothing. I would have to raise it out in the laundry tub. I tried to do a double raise but it still doesn't come out.
I am going to stick to the liquid tide from now on.
I was told that the largest container 8 X 16 is equivalent to a 10 x 15 storage unit... that was what customer service told me but the movers I used, recommended by PODs, said they do not know what they are talking about so I had to get an additional container which they conveniently did not have the 8 ft so I had to get another 12 ft. Which was only $10/mo less... it was a total rip off and the misrepresentation was appalling that and zero integrity with this company. They even had the nerve to charge me for a container move due to their stupid driver putting it in the wrong place but get this the driver NEVER CAME BACK TO MOVE THE POD... yet I was charged a replacement fee. They did credit me back but only after I called and yelled at them. The latest fiasco is that PODS forgot to pick up the second container after I made sure they needed to pick that one up on the 19th as well... yet the person I was dealing with was obviously inadequate (as usual) and forgot to make sure the second container was picked up so after 2 fricking week they called about a complaint that the container was still at my address by the neighbors. I went ballistic and they had the nerve to schedule a pick up for a week out! So much for franchises being responsible for their actions!
We ordered a pod to be dropped off on a Saturday, so we can load boxes and extra furniture into it so we can get professional photos of our home to and put it on the market the following Monday. This was crucial because we found a house, one we loved, and needed our home sold and our contract with the new home had a very strict timeline. Come Saturday, after drop off window started AND we already put all our boxes for a family of 7 into two rooms by the ground door, we received a call that we will not receive our pod that day but on Tuesday due to an "emergency". Again, Monday was supposed to be photos and Tuesday was supposed to be our open house. After stating that we could lose our new house because we wouldn't be able to keep to our contracted timeline because we can't have photos and open houses with boxes pulled into two rooms they still made no effort to try to fix the situation or offer any compensation. We have now lost that house, Monday after not being able to go live with our homes listing, and have to decide if our house should stay on the market while we try to, and hope to, find another house suitable quickly or take it off and cancel the pod to be delivered on Tuesday. We are not at all happy in the lack of consideration for a service that was promised and that this lack has also forfeited us a house that has been hard to find in the current market. I DO NOT RECOMMEND
When you speak to a customer service represtative at pods they will mislead you to believe that the 16 foot pod can hold 3 rooms. By three rooms they do not mean normal rooms in a 3 bedroom home. I informed the representative of how much stuff we had in our "3 bedroom home" and was led to believe that it would fit. When they say 3 rooms they mean minature rooms. They do not mean rooms with large objects like dining room tables or other things that might be in a home. Expect to be able to put the amount of stuff you would find in a childs room. I called the day before our service to make sure our stuff would fit because the measurements just didn't seem big enough. I called at 7pm the night before and they said that because I called after 4pm they were going to charge me a $200 handling fee even though they had not delievered or done anything. They charged the fee and were unwilling to refund my money! Aweful ethics and service.
Shipped out 7/27 supposed to arrive 8/3 then 8/4 then 8/5 then 8/6 Now 8/22
Think twice about this. You are gambling with your possesions
When my mother rented pod. Got it back. Smelled of urine and crap. No answers to a resolution.about 3 months
1. Quoted one price - PODS attempted to deduct $458.57 MORE! After contracted (copies of credit card charges, attached). Luckily, I lock my credit card after transactions, so the excessive charge was declined by my financial institution:
6/29 - $367.42 (PAID) | 6/*******@12:17AM PT - $53.27 (PAID)| 6/*******@10:13AM PT - $458.57 (DECLINED)
2. Reaching PODS - Over the course of 3 weeks, I attempted to contact a representative (different times of day, as well as, different days) only to find out that a) there is never an agent available on PODS' website chat sessions, b) calls to their many, many phone numbers resulting in multiple hours sitting on hold and callback requests are ignored c) emails to *******@pods.com result in an automated response ONLY, NEVER an actual attempt to reply from a human.
The worst part of this entire experience with PODS is that a container was delivered to my home, sat in my driveway for 24 hours, YET, I returned it EMPTY versus packing and moving to long term storage (which would have netted them approx. $375/month, indefinitely) due to the fact that I WOULD NEVER CONTINUE TO DO BUSINESS WITH ANY COMPANY THAT BEHAVES AS PODS ENTERPRISES, LLC!
On my way to find a PROFESSIONAL vendor for my moving/storage needs - DEFINITELY won't be PODS Enterprises LLC!
POD YOU BLIND not worth the convenience/ inconvenience.
My husband and I thought it would have been
A better idea to use Pods because we were moving from one county to another in Southern CA in-between we were forced to leave it in their Storage for 3 months due to job transfers in the end I ended up transferring again to a different county still within Southern CA and had to pay an addition transfer fee
The POD was 8ft x 16ft so it cost $564 to drop off container and pick up then another $264.59 each month we kept it in their Storage (location undisclosed) we believe Riverside and then requested them to drop it off when we had a residence to live.
They then Charge us $646.00 for transfer fees too the new County within Southern CA then an additional $268 for incidentals Charge's which they never explained plus another $264.59 for entire monthly fee when it was only 5 days into the month
They do not PRO RATE monthly fees if they drop off the pod on the 5th of the month and pick up 1 day later of that same month they still charge you for a full 30 days rental fee
All in all for 4 months over $2500 just to pick up drop off within 70 miles of our original location and Storage.
PODing us BLIND.,
Do not use PODs they are a rip-off
I might add their customer service is very rude
And they tell you if you don't like it they will keep your belongings...
Answer: It is a legit company that does not take responsibility for poor operations that can lead to holding a pod full of your possessions for over a month while charging you rent, while stating they have no capacity to schedule your redelivery
Answer: No success. They overbooked themselves, took a pod full of our possessions, left it sitting in the original city for the initial 2 weeks, could not offer redelivery for another 4 weeks and meanwhile charge their monthly rent to hold our possessions hostage.
Answer: The service sold by the sales reps offers a lot of flexibility in time of move and redelivery compared to traditional movers. Unfortunately they are misleading. Once they had our pod we learned they failed to move the pod to the new city over the initial 2 weeks, and would not redelivery it for another 4 weeks due to overbooking customers. They said there was no capacity to book the redelivery sooner. Meanwhile they charge rent per month to hold our possessions hostage.
