This started out as a great way to make companies sit up and pay attention if you had an issue. I came across it when I had a bad experience with a restaurant and couldn't find contact info for anyone not at the specific location. I wrote my letter, posted it to PF, and within days I got a call from the franchise owner, who more than made up for the bad evening. I stayed around because I enjoyed the back and forth among members in the comments section on each letter. If the letter was reasonable, there would be helpful commentary. If it was a ridiculous grab for freebies, fun snark would ensue. After a few years though, something changed. As someone else mentioned, it had a lot to do with the aforementioned "Mr. Helpful," a regular commentator who got appointed as a moderator. The new role apparently went to his head, because any comments not made by a member of his clique would be deleted at the drop of a hat if it didn't 100% agree with his "helpful" opinion. His circle of buddies were also permitted to attack other members, but if anyone not in the in-crowd stood up for themselves - delete. It got so ridiculous that after a few years of taking PF letters seriously, the CEO of the online retailer I worked for at the time announced that there would be no further responses to any communication from PF. It was no longer a service to be taken seriously, but a playground for trolls on a power trip. I see that it has now shut down. Kind of a shame - run appropriately, it could have been a valuable service for both businesses and consumers.

Generac Warranty
April 23, 2019

I piurchased a generac whole house standby generator in 2018. I was promised a 10 year extended warranty by installing company. I for some reason between grenerac and Robey electric did not receive the coverage. I purchased a 5 year extended warrenty from Generac that i thought would be additional coverage. 5 year limited warranty comes with purchase and i pay for extended coverage that expires in the same 5 years. I should have briought a Kholer. I am being ripped off because the first 2 years after purchase are already covered. I get three years of coverage but pay for 5 years

Stay away from Infiniti!
February 15, 2020

Stay far away from these cars/ suvs.
Customer service is a rude joke and now help. When I asked if I could speak to someone else they told me "the buck stops here"

They have nothing but problems and recalls. The paint on my qx56 is literally peeling off. However they care willing to paint it since they used defective paint.

My bigger problem is the timing chain. They offered a service campaign to have people get the parts replaced. However I never received a notice, since they didn't even have me as the owner or my address so in was never informed. The summer of 2019 the timing belt $#*! the bed literally. 6,000.00 later Infiniti is laughing in my face.
They will not refund me the money since the campaign Expired feb 2018.
Now I didn't get a notice and summer of 2019 the exact problems happen to my suv and they will not do anything.
Customer service is so arrogant and rude. I spoke with a Mallory who was just nasty. Not helpful offered nothing. Then I called Infiniti and it was the same treatment. To bad so sad. Your out of luck

The only reason they even received a 3 star in any part of this review was that after seeing their website I researched prices and they were comparable to other companies in the area. After that fact there was nothing about this experience that was good.
The contract stated 1.5" of spray foam on the walls and 1" on the ceiling of our 20' storage trailer. The salesman was informed that the foam needed to be level with the studs. The first day the crew came out they spent hours sleeping in their truck due to either a break down of equipment or having the wrong materials for the job. Okay that happens.
After the boss came out to get them going they did a quick spray and left us with a horribly over-sprayed container. We called the company to let them know this was an unfinished job and asked them to send the owner or a manager out to take a look and were told they were told the job was completed. Also, there was no one in management available to come out so could we send them some pictures. We sent the pictures and they agreed to send another crew out to "fix" the job.
We called again to ask them to please send a manager. Someone needed to see how bad this job was botched. 3 or more inches of foam hanging from the ceiling and the walls went anywhere from bare metal to well beyond the studs on which we needed to be able to screw material on for the walls. The "fix-it" crew came out 2 days after the first and after trying to cut the now solid foam with a rotary tool and a knife became disgusted and the lead (John) commented that they didn't have what they needed to fix this.
Not even the right foam to fill in the blank spaces left by the original crew, as my husband found out when he asked them if they were going to be able to spray over the old stuff. They told him they had roofing foam and it wouldn't work. After doing some clean-up and realizing they didn't have the right tools for the job they, along with my husband, started talking about leaving. One of the guys said that it didn't make sense to scrape any longer if they had to come back again.
At this time my husband said he believed they were "beating a dead horse". The crew didn't have what they needed (now for the second time) and they were completely unprepared. Again we called the company and asked them to send someone out to take a look and again we were informed that no one was available to do so. What?
We told them from the start that we were on a time crunch with this project and now we have a trailer that we cannot even use due to the horrible over spray and no way to remove it. We have since had to purchase another (already insulated) trailer, putting us way behind schedule and the company is coming after us for payment which is less than half of what the new trailer has cost us and they are lying about the facts of what happened on the job and threatening to take us to court.

Ive been a loyal customer to this business for over 8 years. Last week I went in with two parts the tension pulley and the serpentine belt prior to getting my car towed which i had to pay out of pocket I called and asked how much to replace both parts Jordan the shop owner stated it will be $50.00 since I was bringing my parts in which cost me over $40.00 dollars. I get the vehicle towed and he stated he only quoted me for the serpentine belt I asked him how much more and he said he will let me know. They raised my car and told me I did not have to replace the pulley that the reason the belt was tearing and breaking was because I had an oil leak. Then he said it will be $140.00 I paid and left the very next day I went down the street with my car and the belt broke once again. I called and he sent a tow truck and told me i brought either the wrong belt or a defective one. I was charged once again $56.00 for the tow and a new belt. Yesterday 5/21/2020 my belt broke once again on my lunch break. I called and he sent a tow again before he sent anyone I sent him a text letting him know that if he was planning on charging me 3 times for the same problem to not send a tow and I will file suit. He called me today and stated it was the tensioner and asked for me to pay $180.00 $75.00 for the part and $105.00 for labor i sent him a text and asked for him to only charge me for the part and that i feel the labor should be for free since they are the experts and this was the third time in a week that this has happend. He text me back stating he put a new belt which means my car will again break down. I will be filling suit this is unacceptable and a rip off business and i cant believe they will treat a loyal customer and I brought in more then 6 customers to this shop over the years.

I had a house fire
June 22, 2019

At the fire I had a lady telling me she was bring me dog food to my hotel so I had to sign for it after a hot depressing day and signing all kinds of papers I thought it was from my insurance company. Days later I ask my insurance company who does the work she you already hired service master I said I never heard of them the she showed me where I signed. I was so upset we decided just to stay with them. BIG MISTEAK The work was so bad my carpet was cut to short and the pad was so cheap it didn't meat the ceramic. My lights in living room and fan was wired wrong they broke my patio doors and cracked my vanity in bathroom trying to stand on the toilet to paint and dropped the paint bucket then they were told by me and my insurance agent no one is to be in house before I get there well they came in any way and called me hours later that they were cleaning when I got there over 15,000 in jewelry was stolen they said they would take care of it at the end of the job it took them over 9 months to repair a half of duplex. Then they kept saying don't worry about it after what they called a job done then they would take care of my jewerly I didn't even have running water in my kitchen they let the satute of limitation run out. I got nothing the police never even came out when I made the report. They gave me a check for 5000 told me to get it done some where else it cost more than that to get my lights done in the living room and kitchen they all had to be redone and new fixtured and wall out lets had to be bought they burnt the others up buy putting them up wrong. Had to replace all the carpet and lost a life time of jewelry and memories. Its going on two years and i'm sadden by how and what they did to me at lowest time in my life I live alone and i'm disabled I think if a man was there it would of been different I think what they did to me was worst than the fire. And they told me what good people they had working them I found out they were from a temp service and they hated working for them and the pay was to low so I guess that's why they stole from me. Two years later I still don't have the money fix my house I could write more but you the idea

Thirty-five minutes after I booked a flight using Kiwi.com, and checking that they had a 24-hour cancellation/refund policy my son found another airline that suited us better. So I chose to cancel the flight made through kiwi.com When going to cancel the ticket, it said "assess the refund from the airline or accept refund given." Although it wouldn't have mattered which option I chose since I was under the assumption that I would be receiving 100% of my money back since I was cancelling well within the allotted twenty-four hours, I pressed assess the refund. I then received an email asking as to why I wanted to cancel my ticket and emailed back that I went with a different carrier. Couple days later I received another email stating that I would receive $102. I called customer service who told me that they could only give me $102. (Keep in mind this was 5 days later after the purchase of the ticket that I cancelled 35 minutes after purchase and 2 weeks before my flight). I am now out of $1433 because Kiwi.com decided to go ahead and change my currency into Icelandic krona and buy the ticket through that country. When I called WOW Air, they said that since Kiwi.com CHOSE to go through Iceland they could not honor their 100% refund policy and could only refund me the tax that was paid. They then said to go ahead and ask Kiwi.com since I booked the flight with them to receive the refund through them. When I explained to Kiwi.com what happened, the manager stayed on the line with me for well over four hours and was no help at all. Consistently yelling and arguing me about how I had accepted the terms of whatever the airline would refund me. However, NOWHERE was it stated that my USD currency would be changed into Icelandic currency and then proceed to buy the ticket. After several hours of her giving me the run around about checking to see about the refund, telling me that she had no control over it she proceeded to hang up the phone call, and never to call back with an update like she said she would. I am completely baffled that a company would act this way, even when I have gone out of my way to stay on the line with them for at least five hours. The most annoying part, after being out 1433 dollars, is that when you ask them any questions on the customer service line there is never a policy number or rule stated when asked for it. Their reasoning for everything is "no we won't do that", when you try to explain why you're frustrated and work out an agreement to do what would be best for everyone. They just repeat the same phrase they've told you over and over again. They've told me it so many times that I now know all of the companies supposed "policies". This company is absolutely disrespectful and a big scam.

Elliott Realty Beach Rentals Myrle Beacht- BEWARE

November 11,2019 my husband and I made a reservation to take our family of 10 (children and grandchildren) to Myrtle Beach. Having used Elliott Realty Beach Rentals many times in the past we called them, made a reservation for May 30,2020 June 6,2020 at the Cherry Grove Villas, as we had stayed there in the past, and were very happy with our stay.
With the Corvid 19 Virus pandemic affecting the world, March 30,2020, I called Elliott Realty to cancel our reservation as many states were being told to shelter at home' and businesses closed. The person I spoke with actually said I could not get my large $$ deposit back unless they could rent the unit again and at that time they were not renting anything, so I should wait to cancel until April 30, and then the policy might have changed. I did not cancel my reservation at that time. I called April 20,2020 and spoke to Mary Beth, whom said there would still be no refunding of the deposit as the owner of the condominium got the money when I made the reservation in November. Again, if Elliott could lease the condo we could get the deposit back. I explained I knew all activities in Myrtle Beach were moved to September, all businesses could only host 5 people, so our group could do nothing and in Tennessee we were still sheltered at home, as was Myrtle Beach. Nothing mattered.
I do understand policies but due to these circumstances being out of the consumer's hands, policies should be amended. We are very disappointed, as we have used Elliott Realty for many years. I will not be using them again since they are definitely not customer oriented, as seen by these circumstances.
My husband and I will be sharing this information with many others in hopes to inform our community friends and family so they too do not lose this kind of money in the future.
