I kept getting this black bar on my video clip when using ProMessage2 from PixelFilmStudios... I had bought this product quite a while ago and noticed the issue but never really paid attention to it until now. I got on with tech support and they had me up and running in a few minutes with a simple keystroke. I am SOOOOO happy that I don't have to buy a whole other product for what I need. I had an issue with two of the plugins from a bundle pack not opening within the timeline of final cut. I contacted Pixelfilmstudios for support. The issue was a red screen centred with a double triangle with an exclamation mark. Unlike a lot of tech/software support these days the online help was brilliant. I was taken through a number of trouble shooting exercises. The first was to check the FXplug in folder to make sure that the folder and plugin were visible. I was then asked to download and run the FXrun plugin, the link was in the help chat which made it easier than trying to find it on the website myself. All of the instructions given were provided with a guidance photo and a text diagram. I was then asked to manually reinstall the plugin and then reopen FCPX and the fault was immediately fixed. The online instructions given were crystal clear and straight forward. The problem was solved in one visit. Excellent tech support!

I saw what appeared to be a really great plug in that I could use in my business. When I went to purchase the one, I was informed that I could add on additional purchases at a discount, so I added 2 more for a total of $89. Once I paid, there was no download page... but rather I was sent an email to say that I would receive another email later with my download links. When a day went by and I still had no download links I began writing. 6 emails and three days worth of time went by and still no links. They claimed that they were sending them, but I was not receiving them. We went through the junk mail and everything looking for these links... still no links. They claimed this was a rare occasion and offered to refund my money. They wanted me to send them the original order number and some other info for the refund. That was 10 days ago now... and still no refund. I find it odd that I was able to receive all of their email communications about my billing and customer service... but yet I was not receiving their email with the links. I am beginning to think there are no links... just a place where I sent my money so they could have it. Where I come from we call that thievery.

After installing the product and having issues with it working, a developer was able to help me fix the problem. Initially we weren't able to figure it out, but after about 30 min, it's fixed!

First off they have a great, professional product, I've purchased many products from Pixel Studio's to make great Digital Video Productions. I was having a problem with ProTiltShift, the mask wasn't working. To fix it they GAVE me a complimentary plugin, FCPX Camera. I was still having problems and couldn't get the mask to work. A Pixel Studio's professional shared my Mac and fixed the problem quickly. This was a JOB so I appreciate the time and effort from Pixel Studios. Simply the best!

I had that annoying red error screen on my edit and started a convo with the support team and maaannn it felt like they literally took my mouse and fixed the issue in like under 2 min tops.

I'm a veteran 30 year film & video editor who has enjoyed using Pixel Film Studios FCP plugins for videos of all sorts with FCP projects, but due to their products being unreliable where they suddenly and unexpectedly fail to work on variety of different projects, I have decided I will no longer purchase from them. I have experienced a significantly higher failure rate from their products than any other plugin vendor. In addition to this, they have no phone support, their app is extremely flimsy and update function has never worked, their technical support is extremely thin and if they cannot apply a conventional quick fix, they will invent a technical reason so as to try to avoid blame. In my final case, they decided my external drive was blocking their plugin even though there was not 100% correlation. Their effects look nice in their promotional videos, but if the effects cannot work reliably for your clients, then their inconsistency and high failure rate will be your inconsistency and high failure rate. I suggest instead using FxFactoryPro's collection: https://fxfactory.com/info/fxfactorypro/
I had a few issues loading Glow Brush, and assumed I had a litany of issues, and overcomplicated the problem to the end of reason.
