Horrible! I had a groupon and needed to complete before expired. Took all day to do our trip to Italy.
Then couldn't apply the Groupon, seems I didn't check standard book. So I went back and changed but all my picture layout did as well.
I tried to go and revise though it just wasn't working, so I decided to loose the groupon and use the discount directly from Photobook america. Oh and this was after I finally was able to speak to a rep at photobook, no help he was at all by the way.
So, I just received the book which was first to cost me $20 ended up costing around $45. And its horrible the clarity is very bad of the pictures, my whole Italy trip looks like a blur.
I decided that I was not going to call and ask for a refund as it was too hard to do and i really don't think that they would care,
Don't use them, they don't care about your finished product

It is pathetic that the chat button is over the photo button
The support is pathetic and not able or willing to assist.
This means I'm stuck after two days of work.
I'm unable to complete my book as i can not upload any more photos. I guess Shutterfly here i come

I sent some e-mails asking if my photobook would be here before June 10. They didnti answer my question. It's like an automatic reply. I uploaded June 5th I paid the express shipping and they didn't ship year so far. And today it's june 6. And I need this book for a special reason on 10. That's why I paid more for the shipping.

Massive failure
February 11, 2022

80 page layflat style book designed and finished. I go to hit save and it doesn't save. I go to order and page doesn't load to proceed. I go to another tab and try to go to my project and it's not there! I go to another computer, sign in and try to load my project and it's not there! In other words, I spent 3hrs working on this project and it's literally not there for me to order. As if I never worked on this album. This is not the first time and I thought by disabling my antivirus and adblock it would work. Looking at other reviews this seems to be a common problem.

Poor quality on reproducing photos onto Photobook

After numerous email and actual phone conversation with your customer service the only resolution was on follow on orders do not use the default auto correction and to upgrade the Photobook paper quality. This option is NOT available on your Layflat Photobook style.

I waited WEEKS to receive my order and when I did I was mortified at the quality of the tumblers that were literally falling apart as I was pulling them out of the box. Also, I used photoshop to ensure the highest quality of pictures and they came out disgustingly grainy. So mad and I will NEVER used their products or services again. For the first time in my life I am going out of my way to post as many negative reviews as I can.

Damaged

Received an 11x14 hard cover book in a thin cardboard envelope. Corners were damaged, binding had ripples and the book was warped.
Will no use again or recommend.

HORRIBLE!

The absolute worst photo Company I have ever dealt with. I ordered 26 photo ornaments for my daughters sports team. When I received them, they were all blurry and the wording was cut off. I immediately sent an email requesting they be redone. More than a week later I finally received a response and have since been going back and forth with them. This week (a month after the first email was sent) they finally agreed it was their fault and offered to redo the ornaments. I told them NOT to resend the ornaments and i would be calling my credit card company. My advise... stick to the photo Companies you know. They may be a little more pricey but its worth ever extra penny. PHOTOBOOK AMERICA's quality is HORRENDOUS and their customer service STINKS!

Worst customer service

1-The name is a lie: the printing is done in MALAYSIA, there is nothing american
2- The customer service has no information on your product, they have to inquire in Malaysia to know more
3 - My book was printed in 4 days, then the status was idle for 10 days before shipping
4 - Shipping takes 6 days from Malaysia
5- They refuse to refund if yo paid for fast shipping
6 - Compared to other photobook their software is so bad, it does not allow convenient features very helpful

The product is always excellent quality. They often have coupons that make prices very reasonable! If anything is amiss, coupons don't work, etc., email customer service is spot on.

I think they are overloaded for the holidays or something. I can't get anyone on their customer service line, the online chat response time is very slow and every time I try to pull up my projects the site crashes. I purchased 4 groupons for the exact same book, wanted to ship them all to the same address, and was told by their customer service that all I had to do was enter the vouchers in the comments section and they'd apply them so all I would pay for is the shipping fee. Now I'm fighting to try and get someone to respond to me about a $210 charge for my order when it should only be a $37 shipping fee. The best part is that when I finished my project, I went to save and preview my book... their server crashed and what I saw on my computer was an empty project folder. It looked like the entire thing disappeared. I had to wait another day to complete and place my order. Ordering these and making sure I'm getting my refund has taken 3 days... and will now be 4 because their customer service number is closed until tomorrow. Emails take about 24 hours for a response.

I am a surreal and fantasy digital artist and hobbyist. I decided to create an art book portfolio that I can show to prospective buyers and patrons. Photobook America was among my options because of their 17.5 x 12 landscape photobook. After spending hours upon hours of hard work in creating a book, I finally thought I did a masterpiece. So I ordered it and it arrived with printing errors in the book cover. The images have been extended to the spine. So I contacted them to fix the defect. Cerise from the customer service looked at the errors and ordered a reprint. In less than a week, the reprint arrived. It has been fixed and looked as expected. I am grateful to Cerise for doing an excellent customer service job.

The photobook I ordered has imagewrap hardcover, standard binding, and 80 premium silk quality pages. It made my surreal art images stand out. It is not glossy at all but sharp and vivid in colors. The shipping was also fast. I will order another photobook from them again in the near future. Overall, I will recommend Photobook America to anyone including artists who would like to showcase their compositions in a bigger photobook.

I had an extremely frustrating experience yesterday. My Groupon was expiring, so I spent my entire day finishing a book I started. I had a headache from the agony of figuring out the program. It is slower than some other sites, but I felt like I figured out how to make it work, so my future books would be quick. I actually had multiple Groupons to use. BUT, when I was done PB America said my voucher expired in Sept 2017. I tried 3 of my 5 vouchers. I was waiting on the phone for more than 30 min with no pick up. I did send an email, because live chat wasn't working for me either. I did get a response to both of them, and I thought they'd get back to me with a "fix." I ended up trading in my Groupons and had 24 hours to spend my trade-in. Then I went and bought a new Living Social voucher for Photobook America. It gave the same response. I would go right on the PB America page and get their 85% off deal, but it only applies to a new creation, not to the one I made for my Groupon voucher. So, all in all, it's been frustrating, and I'm still not sure if I'll get my book. I might revise this review if it gets resolved. Customer service has had me send a screen shot of two different things and send my voucher, so I hope they come through!
Lesson Learned - make sure it'll take your voucher before putting all the work into the book.

They have a download version of their software that you can work on your project without doing it online. I have made about 5 projects and have found that the software is really slow. (the obvious question here is why did I keep going?!)

Slow software, yes it is annoying, but I thought to just deal with it.

Now my real issue is not the slow software, it is the customer service. Since my first 4 projects went ok (books were ok but not great) I did not think anything about customer service. However my 5th project went really south. They took my money fair enough but when there was a problem with my files being uploaded they were not willing to help. I worked with them for 3 plus days and they basically had no idea what I was talking about. It was clear that the customer service had a limited grasp of what I was trying to say, but more importantly they did not actually read the emails. I was actually stunned when I would get their responses back and I would have to re-write what I had already sent. Finally they admitted they had a software issue.

The problem is they did not reimburse me my lost project and I ended up having to purchase it again. It was only a $25 issue but it is the principle of the thievery.

I had about 20 emails back and forth and this was easily the worst customer service I have ever encountered. I was not asking for freebies, I was just asking them to refund me the money I had spent on a book that got stuck in limbo. I also asked that they refund the shipping costs that they charged me for a book that will never be sent.

I did not get my money back from either.

Buyer Beware!

Very very very unhappy, I bought a package with 6 ornaments, very difficult to figure out the website but I finally did and ordered them on November 30. I called the company before I ordered to check on shipping as the website said that orders placed by December 5 would be delivered before Christmas. The person I spoke to at the company told me to order them standard shipping and they would arrive before Christmas. I was not told that they were coming from overseas, or I would not have ordered them. They show received in New York on 12/18, today is 12/23 and they show no further shipment. When I contacted DHL for information they told me that the ornaments would be transferred to USPS for delivery, but did not know when, and they said that Photobook did not pay for USPS tracking. I contacted Photobook and they told me I should have asked for express shipping. I am totally not happy with this transaction and I will not use them again. I ordered them for Christmas, and it is doubtful that they will arrive in time. Buyer beware!
