Wedding Books

I'm so impressed with the quality of the book I ordered for my children. This is my second child's wedding and the 7th book I have made with Photobook America. I can't tell you how supportive they have been. Once you get into the process the fun begins. Changing layouts adding words to pages. I really enjoyed these experiences. Toughest part is deciding what photos to use. Originally we were using the photographers studio to make book. Too too long and $$$$$ can't imagine. I thought let me try. I made a 50 page book flat binding at so much less.

This was my first experience creating a photobook. My friend and neighbor uses Photobook America for all of her family photo albums. Her experience using them has been a positive one, so she helped me with the initial setup and design and was a resource throughout the design process. Design Process: I found the software very user friendly and flexible. It was super easy to change the background patterns on my pages or swap out clip art available in the program. You can also filter photos already used in the book, so you don't mistakenly add them again to the layout (if you don't want duplicate photos in the book). We used a voucher from the Photobook America website to get the discount code and we felt 3 months was enough time to build the book. Shipping Process: We used standard shipping (US Post Office), and it took about 3 weeks to arrive. We were expecting it in 1-2 weeks. When I spoke with customer service about the status of my book, I did not feel the rep was very service oriented. Also, the book was in a sealed cardboard custom envelope sized for my book, but it was not wrapped in plastic or something protective. It was raining the day it was delivered. Printed Book: The book was printed beautifully, and I would order more photobooks from this company in the future.

Premium Pass Issue
February 7, 2021

I purchased Premium Pass, which entitles me for a free shipping. Nevertheless I was charged for shipping.
After I contacted their Customer Service a couple of times I was given store credit.
Otherwise I am satisfied with the ease of use and quality.

I like using Photobook America as it makes building a photobook offline easy. You can do it online also, but I have not tried that. I am a grandma who likes to build the books of the grandchildren, but don't want to have the computer online all the time. You choose the size and type of book and then name it. Another great thing is that the usual book starts with 40 pages - double the normal books. If you need to add pages that is also easy. They have scraps, frames and backgrounds to add to personalize it even more. Uploading the book is easy when you are ready to order it and you receive it pretty quickly. If you have a problem the customer service is quick and helpful. The reason I only gave it a 4 star rating is the limited backgrounds. They have many sales also and you have 3 months to use the coupons if you pre=buy.

The experience with the software online is not too bad, but it's not as friendly as others. The paper quality of the book is actually pretty good, thick pages; however, the color quality is one of the worst I have seen. These were my wedding photos and I am disappointed. If you are printing vacation or casual photos, they can be ok. But I would not recommend it for wedding photobook.

I have tried many photobook companies and I keep coming back to this one. They have a download software that i particularly love. I always order their layflat albums with the cheapest options in all areas, and they are fantastic. Uploading from software is tricky, but now that I know how, it's fine. ( bigfile transfer). I have recommended them to many. I hope they keep the offline option around.

I like working offline and this company has a great downloadable software. I once had an issue submitting it after completing, but now I know how to send it with big file Dropbox. Once you get used to their formats, features, products etc., it's hard to go with other companies.
*On their software they have an option to enhance specific photos, which is great for everyday pics, but terrible for proffesionals.
* The vignette option on software (not available on online software) is so spectacular and i have not seen it on any other site.
I always do their layflat albums. I've done weddings, and random everyday albums. Everyone who sees my albums are blown away.
Usually customer service reps come through when I need them, which is not often.
The only negative thing I can say is that since they switched from DHL to usps it takes much longer to come.

I disagree with those who claim this program is slow or difficult to use or that pics are difficult to resize. I use a Mac, and have found the layout tools to be pretty similar to others I've used. I have done 3 books with no template, just using blank pages & my layout sense. If you option shift and drag the corner of your photo, it will increase proportionately, just like InDesign. If stretching your photo makes your resolution too low, this program gives you a red flag. Backgrounds, decorations, page order, extra pages and photo frames are easy to apply and change, as are text boxes. My reservations about this company fall into the categories of customer service, price, uploading, production inconsistencies, and the fact that my finished book cannot be reordered after a few weeks. If someone else wants a copy, from what I can tell, my project has disappeared and I need to start from scratch. Since the product only exists online, I can't save it. The product is manufactured in Asia, a long distance away, and even when I paid extra for expedited service, delivery was slow. Once I ordered 3 copies, and I could plainly see a significant difference in the 3 covers and interior colors. Uploading is difficult, and when I think I've accomplished it, I haven't. Pricing is all over the place, and Groupon deadline time extensions are granted for only a few days. Although the amount paid to Groupon is applied to the post deadline price, the cost difference can be vast. Once I get into a project like making a book, I hate the pressure of having a deadline. I would like it if they just quoted a reasonable price in the first place on their website and skipped the coupon stuff. The finished products are much nicer than old photo books with pictures and pages falling out but I went online today searching for another Photobook company that is more consistent, affordable, and customer friendly. It has been a while since my last project & I receive at least one email per week from these folks. Maybe, if anything that bothered me last time has changed, they will state it in their ads.

First off let me say my photo book experience was an amazing one start to finish! I created an 11x14,100 page photo album of my 2022 trip to Ireland. I had bought a gift voucher and had to use customer service for help to apply the certificate, as there was some confusion when I chose my layout (had to match details of certificate). I was able to email a customer service representative and within a couple of days (it was the weekend) I received a response with screenshots of exactly what I needed to do to fix my settings and apply my gift certificate. I was able to complete my check out and received my book within a short period of time. The platform was easy to use for me and I really had a good experience creating my photo book. I was able to be creative and I was able to choose colors, graphics, and my picture layouts. This was very important to me. Thick pages and vibrant colors. Awesome quality! I highly recommend Photobook America!

This was my first time making a photo book and I wanted it to be really nice. We had taken my granddaughter to Disney World and thought it would be a great memory for her so I bought a Groupon. I thought the template was hard to use and I spent countless hours on this but finally sent it in. Realizing that what you see on a monitor may differently from a printed photo I printed several to make sure of the quality of the images I was using. Well the book is here and I'm really disappointed. The photos are dark, blurry, and colors are dull. I'm on hold right now with customer service -15 minutes so far. I am not happy. I'm giving them 1 star because 0 is not an option

I've used this company many times, but the quality has dramatically worsened in the past two years. They've changed their printing process so that the photo quality isn't as good and the books smell dreadful. Delivery times have gotten really slow. I'm currently waiting on a book I ordered 15 days ago. The "track order" feature on the website isn't working so I don't know if/when the book is coming.

AVOID, DON'T BOTHER

The website is difficult to navigate, you'll never get a response from customer Service. Even worse, I ordered a Groupon and they've ripped me off for a second product I will most likely never receive (two custom ornaments). Just go to a more reputable site and cough up the cash. They had a 77% rating on Groupon, but I stupidly gave it a shot anyway. I should have just searched SiteJabber.

1, Not the best user interface compared to other services that I've used.
2, Shipping is crazy expensive. Printing is done in Malaysia of all places and there are custom issues to deal with as well.
3. There is zero customer service. You cannot talk to anyone. Everything is online help.
4. Use cheap vouchers to get you to "buy" and the completion date is shot and will expire and you get nothing.
5. Cheap voucher sounds great... BUT it quickly adds up and you end up paying a lot more. I bought 3 for $12 each and now I'm paying $44 more... Not a great deal.
6. Not a good experience and I WILL NOT USE AGAIN.

They suck!

They dont answer emails. I purchased a groupon voucher and tried to use it. Everytime I go to order, it makes me log in but then then I always get the message,
" account does not match the customer group"
Even though I'm already signed in. Im sick of this BS... Im starting to wonder if its a real business!

Can not understand a word they are saying! English please! Need much better customer service department! Did not offer any resolve! I could do their job for them! I made an order on Wednesday for a magic mug but instead I got the regular white mug with the picture on. To be honest the shipping was fast as I received it yesterday which is basically 3 business days. Now I'd like to talk to someone there, i emailed several them yesterday and today with no response, I called them at the *******879 number with no answer, the lines are always busy. This is the holidays season and now I have to give a gift I didn't want, paid for something more expensive than what I got. I'd like to have someone to talk to and resolve this, but it seams there is no hope. Does anyone have another number I can call?

I had an issue with my luggage tag I ordered so I e-mailed them 5 minutes later and asked to cancel it or at least cancel the shipping. They were completely unresponsive yet sent me 3 emails telling me my order shipped. I emailed them 4 more times and still have no response. I will never order from them again.

Went through this website because we had a Groupon. I spent over two hours arranging the photos even after doing autofill. Not a user friendly website! After I finally got all of my pictures in and went to check out... it said "no shipping options available". There are literally no options on the website as to where to go from here other than to call customer service which according to the site is not available until the next day.

Impossible to use

I am experienced with photoshop and illustrator. And this program is horrible. It is so hard to resize or crop pictures. Not user friendly. I ordered 4 books and gave up after a few hours of getting nowhere!

I bought a groupon for photobook america and was disappointed to find that 1)if I decide to change types/size of books I have to start all over, and 2) that there is a 40% off sale, so with my groupon I've saved a whole $4. I've not done this before and didn't realize that the definitions for page numbers and 'multiple' is different than in real life. I actually put together 2 books, but they will only let me use the voucher for one. Big disappointment. I've written to groupon to complain.
