I bought a Groupon for a photo book to commemorate my dad's birthday. I only had a few days between his birthday event and the Groupon expiration so I worked fast. It took me 3.5 hours to lay out the photos and sayings on their website for the 40 page book I was doing. After it was all done it downloaded and kept flashing that 1 photo was still downloading and I couldn't proceed until done yet it didn't tell me which photo. 3 hours later same message. Then the real fun began. I sent the two emails and the next morning started calling the # from their website. No way to leave a message-
I held one time for 47 minutes. I got Groupon involved and after 4 days still no communication from this company. I wasted so much time I can't believe I stupid I was to go with this company. I got my Groupon money back but it's the principle of the matter. Never again

I purchased a Groupon and was skeptical... I was by far pleased and in love with the quality of the final product. It was a beautiful wedding book I did for a client. I will definitely use them again for future books.

HORRIBLE Experience

This website is horrible. I sign into my account to pick a book to work on. Then I pick a ready made photo book and it asks you to sign in again. The second time one signs in the system doesn't recognize your username and password. Which is frustrating! Didn't I just sign in and now my login info doesn't work? It's been 10 seconds. How stupid can this website be. I did have a blank book that I did work and it was hard to use. The interface to size photos is so hard by forcing you to have certain aspects ratios that don't make any sense. Don't you dare right to shrink only the right side of the photo because the rest of photo will resize. The font choices are horrible. They got MS word and downloaded the font scheme and said here you go, good luck. Stay away.

This is the FIRST negative feedback I have written. I am extremely disappointed in the utter lack of customer service of Photobook America /Photobooks Worldwide. I placed an order of 7 photobooks. Despite the fact that all the photos I uploaded were high res, the books came out grainy and unclear. It took two weeks before their customer service returned my calls (impossible to reach a live person!) and emails. When they finally did respond, they refused to take any responsibility whatsoever. I will not be using this company again and neither should anyone else!

Purchased 6 vouchers to make 6 copies of the same photo book, but it took over 24 hours for customer service to reply that they would charge shipping on each book, even if they did "a goodwill gesture and put them in the same box" to one address. The shipping costs more than all 6 books put together, for the most basic shipping option, for 6 small 8"x8" books. There was no option to even send them to different addresses, despite charging full shipping on each item. The online software to design the photo books is easy to use though.

I'm an amateur photographer focused on wildlife and landscape taking 1-2 trips annually to exotic locations. For at least the last decade I have created a photo book for each trip, all with Photo book America.

With one minor exception, I'm extremely satisfied.

Here are the good points:
1. The app has some very useful features like autoflow that creates a book with all of your photos. I use this as a starting point, and remove, replace, move, or resize various photos.
2. Customer support, when I've needed, it has been very responsive.
3. The time between order and receipt of the book has always been less than two weeks, without paying for expedited processing.
4. The finished product, always 8.5 x 11, layflat, image wrap, has always been excellent, with one exception (below).

The only problem over a span of more than a decade has been a book on which the cover is lifting away from the pages by about an eighth of an inch at the edge of the book. I suspect there is either a slight warp in the cover or that the spine is too narrow. The problem is not significant enough for me to have demanded a reprint.

We could not even sign in because the password on the website would continuously not work, even though we reset the password several times. When we contacted the company for help all we got was a "Purchasing a voucher does not guarantee of an automatic account as you are required to sign up to get one". How do we even create an account of the website keeps resetting the password automatically?

First review I've ever written. I agree with other negative reviewers. I spent hours formulating my photobook and does not respond to my groupon code so that I can order. Also, they do not respond to emails or inquiries. I wish I had read reviews BEFORE I had ordered this groupon. I will stick with Printerpix from here on!

I purchased 5 groupons for this site and haven't been able to complete one book! Can't remove suggested blurbs and graphics, cannot edit photos to fit the space. I am not happy. There are so many great, easy to use sites. Avoid the frustration and don't use this one!

I got a Groupon for this site ($16.99 for an 11x8.5 40-page book). The available online templates were great and easy to use. The book was printed and shipped quickly. I got my book today and am very pleased with the print quality! I wish they had more promotions for their new layflat books, but I'm happy with what I got.

One slight complaint I have is that once you choose a book size and type for your project, you cannot change it. You will have to start over. It's a small annoyance, but given the price and quality, I'm still a satisfied customer.

I also purchased a Groupon for MyPublisher and that site (along with its desktop software) is much worse.

I am only giving a 1 because I have to if I could would give it a negative 10. I never received my item and I'm on my fourth try to get it resolved. I have never had a issue like this with any photo book company. This is the first and last time I will be using them. They have not show any concern in the fact I never received the item I paid for. The site is not user friendly either. Say this again this company sucks.

I have ordered twice from this company. Once for a hard cover which had great colors and decent cover, kind of cheap, but you get what you pay for. But this last book I ordered is terrible. Print and color is horrid. And the book itself was a softcover and bent on the edge. They've lost my business.

Calendar

I ordered a calendar, actually a special of the calendars for a specific price. It was shipped USPS and took three weeks to get to me. When I finally received it, the order was incorrect. After talking to three different CS people they finally entered a replacement order. After repeated calls asking about the status of the order, they would only give me a supposed tracking number. According to the USPS the label was created 3.5 weeks ago and the package has yet to be received by the USPS. CS representatives are totally unhelpful and cannot give me any information. IF I ever get the order, I will be surprised but I will NEVER order from them again.

Having done and received 10 photobooks, I feel confident that they deserve a very postive review... in fact, my most recent one about scenic images in our golf community in Florida was so well received, they will soon be on sale in the Pro Shop at an affordable price since I learned how to use their "Bulk Order" tab---and someone who saw my book was the one who initiated this--not me.

My only hope to improve is to see more backgrounds to choose from.

I WISH TO ADD.---I am even more impressed now with this company. They have several new products now and I have sold many of these items. Great BULK ORDER prices. I just sit back and let the compliments --and sales--come in.

I like being able to design products exactly how I want. There are many products to choose from such as photobook, photo prints, home decoration, and useful items. Quality products at cheap prices. Admins are very helpful in making products.

Totally dissatisfied

I ordered album as a birthday present, paid for quicker delivery, but I didn't recieve it in date. I tried to connect with them, but the have false e-mail and telephon number on the site. Their chat doesn't work. No connection with them at all. I don't advise to make business with them. I can't add a photo because I didn't recieve this album yet.

Horrible! I had a groupon and needed to complete before expired. Took all day to do our trip to Italy.
Then couldn't apply the Groupon, seems I didn't check standard book. So I went back and changed but all my picture layout did as well.
I tried to go and revise though it just wasn't working, so I decided to loose the groupon and use the discount directly from Photobook america. Oh and this was after I finally was able to speak to a rep at photobook, no help he was at all by the way.
So, I just received the book which was first to cost me $20 ended up costing around $45. And its horrible the clarity is very bad of the pictures, my whole Italy trip looks like a blur.
I decided that I was not going to call and ask for a refund as it was too hard to do and i really don't think that they would care,
Don't use them, they don't care about your finished product

It is pathetic that the chat button is over the photo button
The support is pathetic and not able or willing to assist.
This means I'm stuck after two days of work.
I'm unable to complete my book as i can not upload any more photos. I guess Shutterfly here i come
