Our petsmart experience was the worst! High prices, rude cash register dude, and no help! I recommend Soldan's, where the employees help you, care about you and your pet, know their inventory, and are happy you came. We will never set foot in a petsmart, not for ANY reason!
I started my pets on products that were healthy and were the most quantity for price. It's a PetSmart only product for both dogs and cats. We have had our dog kids go over the rainbow. Our cats are caught up in a product change. One cannot, without warning and planning, on the pets side, just switch foods. One of their Simply Nourish dry cat food products is being dropped. You can't switch their food overnight. The Aurhority canned flaked turkey cannot be purchased at this time except for on the shelf supplies. So, tell the cat no. It understands well. Throws up good, too, when you make overnight changes, without slow introductions. Not including there is now an increase in cost by a reduction in the size of the size of the can.
My income is fixed. If the price continues it current escalation, I can't afford my pets.
This is why pets are surrendered. This is what affects the feral cat situation and the neglect of dogs and cats.
PetSmart is not for pets, but for their pocket book.
I bought a dog whistle from PetSmart for around $4.99 - I had read a lot of reviews, mostly quite unfavorable. But I bought one anyway, thinking WTH I'm going to the mountains on vacation where I'd like the dogs to be able to run around. They don't understand that they cannot go in the lake here (FL) b/c alligators love to eat dogs. To my surprise, the whistle worked GREAT! We used it a couple of times and rewarded them with a dog biscuit, but we didn't need any treats on vacation. They ran around wildly but immediately stopped and perked up and came running back after 2 blasts on the whistle. Love my dog whistle & it turned out my brother-in-law also had one, so if we split up or did different things we always had a whistle.
I have a variety of animals, and Petsmart always has what I need. The employees are helpful, the store is always clean and well organized. I recently took my dog in for a haircut--first time I've ever used the grooming service--and they did a fantastic job of listening to what I wanted and making it happen.
I am reviewing petsmarts website. It seems to be set up to scam you out of points. THEY ADVERTISE THIS AND THAT, BUT SINCE YOU CANT LOG INTO SITE YOUR POINTS GO UNNOTICED, AND YOU ARE UNAWARE. ALSO THERE IS NOWHERE ON THE WEBSITE TO CHECK THEM. CAGEY.
I think it's absolutely ridiculous that Petsmart makes the adult in their latest commercial look incompetent and generally incapable of using technology. I'm also disgusted that the daughter in the commercial has a total lack of respect for her mother. Just another example of the decline of morals and values in our society.
In the last five months I I have had to replace my bearded dragons basking bulb about 7 times. The bulb I use keeps going out and it's not my fixture I just got a new one because I thought it was a fixture. It's ridiculous having to buy a new bulb every month when it should be every 6 months to 7 months. And any time I go in there to replace the bulb they get nasty with me. I'm pretty sure I will be going to paw Mart near me. They are better at customer service.
I have been taking my dog to Petsmart dog grooming services at Chantilly, VA for over 3 years.
Today 05/11/2023, I was told that my dog had a drooling issue which is an indication of anxiety.
Going forward, I will be charged an additional $15.00 for the Express Service so that one groomer would care for my dog from beginning to end of grooming. I was told by Lorena, a manager and dog groomer that they're looking out for my dog's best interest as she could die from anxiety if placed in a kennel. It is obvious that my dog has been fine for the past 3 years with short, intermittent stay in a kennel. But as of today, I would have to pay $15.00 extra and stay in the store or in the parking to wait for her. This is Nazism in action, way to go Petsmart.
I placed an order because they had my puppy's favorite snack on sale - buy 3 get one free. At checkout it wasn't giving me the right price. So I contacted customer service and they said just place the order and we'll refund the difference. I placed the order, customer service never got back to me. 1 day shipping took about 3 and a half weeks to arrive. Plus the overcharged that just doesn't make any sense at all
Our two dogs howled and laid down on the floor trying to crawl away when we went to take them to the "Doggie Hotel" a second time. We had to make other plans. Now what would have happened to make them fear the place so much?
Beside all the red bugs and bite marks all over them?
Not only are they extremely helpful (Mississauga) but we love the fact Petsmart has things like adoption weeks as well, this tells us not only that they care but that the money we spend there isn't just going to profits but rather it goes to good causes as well!
Keep up the great work Petsmart and we promise to keep being customers :)
I don't like the prices in this store at all, but I have 2 parrots and it is difficult to find anywhere around here that sells parrot food that is of decent quality. I try to only shop here when I have coupons or they have a sale. I will buy dog food, treats, cat food and dog food there if it's on sale because if it's not, I can find it cheaper elsewhere, especially online.

I have found that Pet Smart's Great Choice kennels are not only affordable but are hands down the best constructed kennels I have used for the the safety of puppies being air shipped. They are very affordable and also offer free shipping.
I have purchased a fair amount of product through the petsmart site, and am regularly frustrated by the poor design of their site.
I use them because one of their stores is very near me. If I weren't, I would never turn to them again.
I just tried to order some canned cat food through their site. It seemingly offers me options for delivery for this item. After trying everything, though, I can't order this item through their site.
I know that sounds weird, and it's true. I even had my wife come in and try to order the item, because I was frustrated and needed another pair of eyes. She tried, then threw up her hands and walked away.
We have two cats and a guinea pig. When we go to PetSmart we can pick up everything that we need for all of our pets. They do have lots of sales and discount coupons, but the prices are a little higher than I would like. But, it's the only place that I trust to carry the brand of food that my cats needs and the variety that my guinea pig requires. All in all, it's a great store.
Ordered aquarium media and PetSmart sent the wrong items. Due to COVID, all returns have been suspended (understandable). I have sent 6 emails asking if I will be able to return the product after the suspension... even if it is past the 30-day window. 6 responses stating that returns are suspended without actually answering my question.
I am now forced to dispute the charge on my credit card.
I sometimes shop at Petsmart for my tropical fish and filters, light hoods, etc.
It seems that when they have fish on sale - they usually are out of stock of many that are on sale.
Their tanks are hooked up on a community filtration system which means if there are sick fish in one tank - then the whole section is exposed to the disease.
Sometimes they have good sales - but I'm usually too afraid to buy them because of the community filtration system. When I do buy them, I put them in a quarantine tank for at least a month.
Sometimes enough live to make it worth the price and other times, I have to save the dead fish and take them back for a refund or credit towards supplies.
I saw a couple cheap things i wanted so i put them in my basket and continued shopping. I place my order for 9 things totaling $30. I then get an email saying that the items i purchased is no longer available. I then ask to cancel my order and was told that i could. They even sent me an email saying my order was cancelled. Now i receive an email stating that my "partial order" is on its way. So these guys enticed me with cheap dog toys and only send the expensive ones. This is/or should be illegal.
Have had our rescue dog in training for 4 sessions now. AWESOME trainer and course. Have had dogs for my entire life (55 yrs) and this is the first time I have done a training class of any kind. I thought I knew it all - boy was i wrong. Such a amazing difference - wish I had done this decades ago. Thanks Terrah & Petsmart for such an eye opener!
PetSmart employees have made my day. Needing to make an exchange because I was shipped the wrong product, I walked into a PetSmart store in Richmond, VA. Talking with management about what happened, the first thing I noticed was how nice and well established the manager was. He helped me with the return and helped me find what I needed as well as giving me a 20% discount on the new order. Thank you PetSmart

Answer: I have no knowledge concerning your question. At our Petsmart in Sacramento they sell animal products; it's a store; not a place where dogs go to play. Dogs are allowed inside the store to 'shop' with their person, but the dogs must be on a leash, contained, etc.
