Products are fine but customer service is horrible. Frankly, I am under no illusion that what I have to say is going to change anything at this company. However, after having been promised follow-up by "management" several times concerning an issue, it never happened. Clearly erroneous information being passed on doesn't instill confidence.

Expired Medication
February 5, 2018

Bought flea and tick topical medication for my cat and they sent me two doses that both expire in June 2018. Might be able to use one, but the second one will expire before I can use it. Beware of this company! They're cheap, because they sell you secondhand medications!

I ordered medicine for my cat. Andrew called to find out more info about her and tell me about the PetPlus Plan. I asked a lot of questions and he gave me prices for things I use. I told him I needed to do due diligence and check it against what I have paid in the past, which he said was no problem. The prices are indeed better and free shipping helps tremendously! Andrew continues to follow up and answer questions.
The only thing I don't like is right now PetCareRX is having a site-wide 25% off sale and you can't use that on top of your member discount. Yes, the member discount is better, but we also don't get to use the same discount available to everyone else. Just saying...

The members pricing is at wholesale prices so there are no markup fees on anything. I first joined Pet Care RX in 2016. They are the only online service for pet medicines and food that offer wholesale prices. When my Hershey (dog/child) was recently diagnosed (at 15) with pancreatitis and recommended a special diet food ($$$$). Pet CareX plan saved me $10 a month with both Chewy and my vet's online orders. Also, customer service are working from home so it's a great experience to order order by phone. Or they offer autoship, at the same saving. Call them. You'll see. I am not a paid reviewer. Just an extremely loyal customer.

Pet care RX deception

Pet care RX website is filled with deception. They deceived consumers by quietly charging $50 for membership and not claiming it on their website but instead giving you a very fine print of this charge. Please do not buy from this website. I was being deceived.

PetCareRx makes a simple offer, "give us your email and your pet's name and we'll give you 75%" your first purchase. Only after signing up do they say that you need to sign up (pay) for their PetPlus program to get the 75% off. PetPlus membership is $166! Even if the program were a good deal, I would never support a company that lies to potential customers to get their email address. When I explained my perception of what the company was doing, the customer representative simple said, "Ok," and hung up. I encourage pet lovers to shop elsewhere.

February 2021, I ordered $119.00 of Rx cat food. I cancelled the auto ship after that 1st order because the fed. Express driver texted that my order was delivered but I never saw it. It was a Friday and I ran out of Rx cat food over the weekend! When I called customer service... the guy kind of laughed and said someone would call me on Monday. No one called at all. Cat food never arrived to my house!

The saga continues today, as I was on-line banking, I noticed that my checking account had a pending debit charge for $119.00. Can you believe it? Worst part was that my cat has been deceased since October 2021.

Idiots!

Mystery Charges
February 11, 2020

I have left three voice mails now--the answering message claims they will call you back within 24 hours. Definitely not the case.
I am being charged a small amount every month and I have no idea what this charge is for. I haven't received any products for more than two years. They do not call back, nor do they ever answer the phone. Where do I turn to next?

I ordered supplement for my pet. On-line did not mention will charge $70+ for membership. Sent 2 emails regarding overcharged Nobody replied, Try live chat, what a joke, nobody replied either. Finally someone picked up after 20 minutes. Told me it is membership fee. I told her your on-line did not tell customer when you order, it will charge membership fee. There price is extremely high without membership. I can get it from other pet site at least $25+ cheaper. What a joke. Whoever order shop from them, please shop around.

I placed an order for an OTC pet supplement which I received a confirmation for and then I got an email asking me to call. I wasn't sure what it was but when I called, it was an up sell for their membership, which I declined. I actually hadn't ordered from them for years but found a good price on this product. After I got off the phone, I received another email but from a different person telling me my order had been canceled due to it not being available. I checked the website and it doesn't show that the item is out of stock, so I wonder if my order was canceled because I wouldn't join the club. I find this very strange.

If you can send me an email with your order number or the product ordered so that I can further look into that. If your order was cancelled then the item would no longer be available and on manufacture backorder with no soon expected date so it should be removed from the site as well. I am very disappoint with PetCareRx because I payed membership to have my dog medication every month with a good price and auto delivery but it isn't happen! My dog medication to heart is vetmedin 2.5mg (because my dog use 1.25mg in the morning and 1.25mg in the night) but always is out of stock and the PetCareRx never let me know! Autoship is to be delivered every month, but this isn't happen and I no have any messenger about the medication is out of stock. Sometimes vetmedin 1.25 mg is available but I can buy only 30 pills in the PetCareXR (but I need 60 in the month because my dog use 2.5mg in the day and Always I need call to customer service (20 min in the line or more to someone talk with me) and I pay $20 extra for this medication than normally. When they release, because they often don't release and I have to buy every 15 days, when it's in stock). I went back to paying twice the price buying at my dog's vet, but with the certainty that my dog ​​will not be without medicine!
I am not satisfied with this situation!

Hi Michelle, thank you so much for your feedback. We completely understand your frustration. Would like to just give you some more information particularly on the Vetmedin as we generally do not have an issue with stocking medications. Due to Covid guidelines, this manufacturer has been having production concerns and therefore there is a nationwide shortage for a few months now causing it to go into a manufacture backorder all over. We have been doing our best with getting as much stock as we can get our hands on to fulfill our customers orders but the manufacture shortage is out of our hands. As a result to ensure all of our customers get their current meds for their fur babies we have limited a 30 pill purchase at a time. Once this item goes into out of stock an email is sent to all customers with autoshipments to advise you we cannot fill any future autoshipment orders and you will be notified when its available again to place a new order and reschedule your autoshipments. If you havent recieved this email please provide me with your email address so I can further look into this matter. Again we cannot confirm your future autoshipments will be filled for this particular medication given the manufacture concern. We wish there was more we can do to help and we know how frustrating this can be. We will do our best to fulfill our fur babies orders as stock comes in.

She worked for 3+ days to secure and ship a medication for my 15-year-old Chocolate Lab that is hard to find, yet imperative to keep Scout comfortable and her tumor at bay. Customer Service has been excellent(especially Ashley). I signed up for the club membership and was promised significant savings. I don't usually join these type of things, but the way it was explained to me, it would pay for itself, in my next order of flea, tick & heartworm medication. I haven't seen my credit card bill yet, so can't give 5 stars, yet. The only minor complaint would be that instead of 1-2 day shipping that the previous place that I ordered from offered, it will be 5-7 days. However, with the club membership, there is no minimum purchase for free shipping. I will update this review after I have more experience with this company.

We are sorry about the delayed shipping times. Generally shipping only takes 2-3 days or so but given the current circumstance of the nation and the holidays, its taking the longer end of up to 7 business days. Hopefully, this timeframe will be reduced soon though.
