I contacted the online customer service to immediately cancel an order made over the weekend. However, corporate does not have staff answering calls on weekends, which is unheard of. I ended up sending a cancellation request via email. No one got back to me and the item ended up being shipped. I called customer service immediately. The courteous rep apologized and assured me that I would get a full refund on my original payment, including shipping fees once the item is returned in store. That was not the case when I visited my local Party City. The manager, Lilly was not only rude, but also smug about not giving me the full refund. Instead, she offered a partial credit. From this awful experience, I would never set foot back into this store again; therefore, the store credit would be useless. To me, the bigger issue was how rude this manager was. From all the posted negative reviews, it is apparent that Party City needs to adequately train their staff on basic proper etiquettes. It seems as though the company is already suffering and can not afford to lose any more business.
This is ridiculous, I have my sons birthday party today it tells me that I will be receiving me shipment today and well here I am without it. I've been calling there customer service center and the First Lady who answered me asked for me order number while I'm giving it to her she hangs up on me! I call back and again they answer the phone and hang up on me! When I go to call again there CLOSED! I'm livid right now why isn't my package here and why are they so unprofessional?!
My company went into the Part City in Columbus Georgia today to get merchandise for a Fall Carnival my company is having. There was a very rude lady (Veronica) and a manager (didn't have his name tag on) but was later identified as Marvyn by an associate was very rude and unprofessional. I am a CEO with a company that focus on children and the community and I could have gone else where but choose to patronize your establishment. I will never spend another penny with your and I would give your company name to my business partners and leaders in the community and advise never to step foot back in your store. This is unprofessional and very ridiculous especially from someone in management. I know nothing will be done because I have seen Veronica in action (rude) several times before but just figured she was having a bad day but everyday should be a bad day. Get a new profession or a new attitude,
So disappointed! Bought a gender reveal piñata with pull strings and it FAILED! Damn near ruined the party. Spent close to $30 and am totally disappointed. I should have purchased one online instead of trusting Party City. Will NEVER make that mistake again.
I shop at party city MARKHAM frequently due to my party planning business when I need last minute items. I have to say I am very patient person but the service at this chain is terrible. The staff are completely confused and disorganized and stand around and seem to have no idea what's going on not to mention how rude the main managers are. I watched them completely ignore an elderly man who clearly needed help and was having a hard time standing in the line for so long. The store never has ANY stock in balloons and I am forced to find other options every single time I come here. Even having to purchase one item, I've waited in line over 20 minutes many times waiting for a frazzled staff member to even acknowledge the line and even when I'm the only person in line I still have to stand there for a ridiculously long time. Party city also started a money grabbing rule that when you purchase balloons from them you have to pay the helium fee even when you are not having them blown up at all. Anyone who is able to read this, party supply depot is way cheaper with the exact same products x10 without the helium fee for flat balloons, not to mention helpful and pleasant staff who have knowledge on the product. If I could give less than one star for party city I would! I've tried many locations and it's always the same thing at every store!
I was at the Party City at I20 and Wheatland Tuesday. The little girl at the register was so rude. She was embarrassed because she couldn't find the bar code on a $10.00 balloon for a customer ahead of me. I'm standing there with $200.00 of merchandise in my cart and so was the lady behind me. Clerk proceeded to scream at us and tell us we were out of line while we're standing there where it was marked. Needless to say I left my cart and walked out. I will never patronize a Party City again. I refuse to screamed at by a 17 year old who doesn't want to work anyway. Piss poor customer service and I'm sure there higher ups don't give a crap either. Overpriced and not worth the time. Can get it cheaper at several other stores. Wish I could give 0 stars.
Was guaranteed a delivery date. However, they could not assure me it would be delivered by that date. Asked to speak to a manager and representative just kept saying they will call you. After 10 mnts she said once we hang up they will call, guess what, we hung up and they didnt call. I even asked to transfer me rather than having them call, and she said "no, they will call." Never shopping through them again.
I ordered online to be sent to my home some stuff O got for Halloween and they never updated me on my order. Its bearer to Halloween and my order that I ordered a long while ago is still Pending for Shipment. I am currently on hold since I am calling for an explanation, and its been more than 20 minutes!

Spent over 25.00 for balloons. In less than 12 hours they were all flat, with the exception of one. Staff is unfriendly and very inexperienced. Better to drive down to Chesterfield Township. Port Huron Store employees are incompetent.
Sent the wrong item. I called to straighten it out and they refused to correct their mistake. Buy elsewhere, if you want customer service.
Ordered a pinata online, then had to drive 1 hour to the location that had the exact pinata in store. When I got there, they did not have it in store, but still charged me twice for the item. Horrible customer service and no one answers the phone!
They have come a long way with customer service lately. The next day delivery is amazing and if there is an issue with your order, they make it top priority to fix it as quickly as possible. They even gave me extra balloons and decorations for my trouble even though it was no trouble at all because they resolved the issue in no time.
P.S. This is the absolute best place for Halloween supplies and costumes!

I placed an online order recently, but somehow the order was shipped to a DIFFERENT address, and then returned to sender. If I had not gone online to track it myself, I would have only realized it the day before my son's FIRST birthday. They didn't call or email me to notify me of this, as though the address mistake is my fault.
This is my first (and BAD) experience with their shipping service, so I'll advice anyone looking to order online from them: TRACK your order yourself, cos apparently customer service does NOT exist.
I bought the 50th Birthday Balloon Bouquet 5pc - Sparkling Celebration the beginning of the week of July 2,2020 To pick up on July 1. I surprised her with this balloon bouquet the morning of July 2nd. These balloons are still standing tall in the birthday girl's house almost 3 weeks later! Amazing! We never thought they would last this long. Great Purchase!

I ordered the balloons for my son and husbands birthday on party city.com for a police birthday theme party! I called the slidell LA location this morning and confirmed that they would blow up all of the balloons I ordered, without any added fees. The staff member on the phone, told me that they do not charge to blow up the balloons as long as they were purchased from party city.com, to just bring the order form. I am unable to drive due to a surgery and had a friend run to get the balloons filled and in turn was charged $30 to fill the balloons. I purchase balloons at least 8 times a year and have never been charged for them to be filled, even went back and pulled up my past records of purchase and not one time was I charged for them to be aired up. I will NEVER purchase from any party city location or online again! They were rude and even the manager sounded like she was on auto pilot and kept repeating that they have always charged, over and over again! I am not mad about having to pay, I'm mad bc the sales lady I spoke to this morning, verified that I wouldn't have to pay for them to be aired up! I will gladly buy dollar tree balloons over these, they have already started losing air and it has only been 4 hours. Absolute waste of money!
I ordered balloons for my son's graduation.
When I ordered inflated balloons online, I asked how long inflated balloons last.
They told me it will last 6days but I could pay $1 extra to to last another day.
I told them I just need these balloons to last two days so that I don't need extra day.
I picked up on monday 5pm on those balloons that I have to drive round trip of 45 Minutes.
When I came down stairs next morning and find out that ALL BALLOONS are flat already.
Those balloons only last not more than 10-12 hours.

I called to see if they had plastic cups from the Mandalorian (the computer website said 12 and when I called they have 5). I gave them my name thinking they would have it at the front of the store. I got there, picked up something else and stood in line. I am waiting and this woman walks over and she goes straight to the register. I look at the cashier and she didn't say anything but helped her. I didn't say anything and then got up there. They hadn't put the cups on the side. One of the workers got them for me. I paid for my stuff and got out. I filled out the complaint on line. Sunday, June 21 the store manager called but I didn't hear my phone. I will call tomorrow. He said there is a policy to take curbside and prepaid customers. That is the policy. Where is the policy located. If the policy is not listed how am I supposed to know. I will not be going to that store again. This is ridiculous.
