Scammers

Read the reciews before having anything to do with these scammers. Several months later lost delivery and today tried to take additional money from my account. Have to take them to court. Read all the negative reviews because they are the legit ones.

PAID £350 FOR A DELIVERY THAT NEVER ARRIVED

Utterly Furious – ParcelHero Is a Complete Disaster!

I am beyond angry with ParcelHero. I paid £350 for a delivery that never even arrived, and they still took my money! To make matters worse, I contacted their customer service immediately, thinking they'd fix the issue. But no – they've kept me waiting for over a MONTH with absolutely no resolution!

Every single time I reached out, I got the same useless excuses and empty promises. How is this acceptable? Do they even care about their customers or the items they're supposed to deliver? It's like they've just taken my money and vanished.

This has been one of the most frustrating and infuriating experiences of my life. ParcelHero is unreliable, incompetent, and an absolute waste of time and money. I regret ever trusting them. If you value your sanity, AVOID THEM AT ALL COSTS!

Losing all hope

I used Parcel Hero to send a package by next day delivery to my son at university in Birmingham, UK. One month later, he is still waiting for it and we are receiving cut and paste emails about understanding our frustration. After over a week of failed deliveries by the carrier, UPS, (don't use them either) and after paying Parcel Hero a further fee for extra handling costs, I asked for the parcel to be returned to me. UPS said there would be no charge. Somehow, and they have not explained how, Parcel Hero accessed my husbands AMEX details from a previous payment and charged us a return fee. However, the parcel has not been returned. The parcel made its way back as far as our local depot where it sat for two weeks before being mysteriously sent back to a depot near Birmingham.

Charged me £170.11 a week after the alleged large package surcharge. Yes you read correct £170.11 extra! What a load of nonsense. I had already paid over £40 for the delivery, using the parcelhero price comparison site. UPS were doing the delivery at the price paid. Then shockingly a week later, I get an email, saying I have been charged £170.11 no need to do anything, they had taken the payment from the same card I previously used. The audacity! This company has been doing this for some time, check the other reviews, on various review platforms. I really wished I had checked, before trying parcelhero for the very first time. Mark Taylor sent me endless emails, talking like a politician, with excuse after excuse, trying hard, requesting I give him my measurements, before he passed what they claimed the measurements were. When I provided him with the actual measurements (Photos) Uploaded onto my Google review, they were clearly different to theirs. Mark Taylor then asked me for other images that nobody would ever think about taking, of various angles of the parcel, with measurements clearly showing, Pathetic! Images were right there showing. Luckily I was Savvy enough to take images, using parcelhero for the first time. I will be taking this matter further, they are ripping lots of people off! I really hope they are not doing this to elderly or vulnerable people.
BE WARNED!
Chances are they will continue doing this to many others.
DO NOT USE PARCELHERO THEY ARE A RIP OFF COMPANY
Save the stress of massive overcharges furth down the line.

Terrible service
October 17, 2024

We have used this company twice and each time the parcel was not picked up or delivered on time. Their customer support may have well been non existent for the help they provided. Also I could not locate a telephone number to actually speak to someone over the issues we were having.
We will never use this company again and would warn others not to do so too.

Parcel collected on the 5th of August for next day delivery. It is now the 15th and the parcel still hasn't been delivered - I am receiving daily messages that there is a "Security Issue".
Despite contacting ParcelHero 5 times over the last 8 days - I am still waiting for an explanation of the delays. Today I received a message and an Invoice for an additional £71 for extra weight and size but still no explanation for the delay. Please bear in mind that I gave Parcel Hero the dimensions and weight before they quoted me. They are dishonest and fraudulent.
10 Days after the scheduled delivery date - ParcelHero are opening two "Cases" and will respond within 1 - 2 Business days. So it is now Friday and I expect the weekend will be used as an excuse to do nothing until Monday which means that my customer will be waiting another week for his parcel. There is "Useless", there is "Absolutely Useless" and there is "ParcelHero".

I have received the following "explanation" from Parcel Hero:
"Please note that the carrier has shared the reason for the adjustment applied which is kept by our Accounts team so we are verifying the detailed explanation from them to be shared with you in due course."

Translation - Utter Waffle.

Did Parcel Hero know, or not know the purported reason for Overcharging me before charging £71 to my Credit Card? Simple question and I would like an answer!

The Parcel had to be collected by my Customer from the Depot - not what I paid for. I am still waiting for an explanation from ParcelHero. Useless

ParcelHero will not explain what the £71 overcharge was for and UPS will not explain to me as "I am not their customer". Absolute shoddy customer service.
Avoid ParcelHero - they are not a Courier Service - they are dishonest, fraudulent shysters who quote competitive rates to sub-contract the deliveries to other Couriers such as the useless UPS and then
Charge additional surcharges to your Credit Card when they have your Credit Card Details.

Worst Service

My experience with ParcelHero has been beyond disappointing. They failed to inform me about crucial customs clearance requirements when I booked their service. To compound matters, they lost 2 out of my 6 baggage items. Dealing with them to settle my claim was a nightmare; they subjected me to mental harassment for 3 months, completely ignoring their own advertised claim settlement period of 14 days. Despite purchasing £1000 insurance, they only compensated me for half of the value of my lost items. Their excuse varied depending on convenience; at one point claiming outdated website information, and another time citing their strict policy limits.

I was on the brink of filing a formal complaint when, suddenly, they settled my claim the next day out of fear of further escalation. Their website promises are utterly misleading. ParcelHero exhibits gross unprofessionalism and a complete lack of customer service etiquette. I strongly advise against using their services; while they may appear cost-effective initially, the eventual cost in terms of money, time, and mental well-being to get your items delivered or claim settled is not worth the risk.

Awful. Avoid.

My experience with ParcelHero has been nothing short of awful, absolutely, and totally awful. Parcelhero, arranged delivery of an item measuring 102 cm x 85 cm x 9 cm, which I dropped off at my local post office for delivery by Parcel force.

Somehow, My huge parcel has been lost.

I have come across nothing but prevarication and excuses by them for not paying out my claim for the cost of delivery, which was £22, the item of £45 or the fees that I had to pay to the seller of the item.

Nothing but excuses, prevarication and hurdles to jump to save a £67 payout for your their mistake. How very very sad for a company to treat customers this way.

Hang your heads in shame ParcelHero. They have totally declined to refund the eBay sale price as I do not have the original invoice for the purchase of this item from eight years ago. This, despite absolute proof that the item was sold, how much it was sold for, where it was sold, when it was sold, when their 'service' was purchased, when the parcel was dropped off and, their admission that my parcel has been 'lost' by the courier.

BEWARE and be aware, before using this company.

I was looking for a quick parcel shipping company when I came across parcel hero and I saw UPS company which the date posted on the descriptions meet my need, the parcel was said to be delivered on 8th according to the price. So I never mind the price I paid almost £100 for 7.8kg weddings dress suit and items... this useless UPS never tell me am going to pay for customs fee in Nigeria if so I won't have use the service never. So when the parcel get to Nigeria I was told to pay #200,000 to release my parcel and the content in the package worth £300 in total. Also when the parcel get to Nigeria they deducted £6 extra for sizing package. I refused to pay the #200,000 because my point is I wasn't told before... also this is not my first time sending things to Nigeria with other companies and I never have this issue with then I only send from UK and they deliver straight to my Nigeria address. So this good for notting UPS Company then refused to deliver my good and now they said I need to pay another charges to request for my parcel to be return back to me if not they will keep my property with them... this people are thief, scammer, useless, fraud. Nobody deserves to be treated this way... am really upset as am typing this because they are not returning my parcel unless I pay for return.

Do not use!

This was my first time (and certainly the last!) using this company for sending a small parcel from UK to EU country.
Not only it was 5 days late (as per stated delivery time), but they also use third party customs companies to try to lure money out of you. The recipient was contacted by the third party customs agent (rather than customs itself) and asked to pay additional €20 for customs declaration(which I already provided detailed and clearly)! When contacted about parcel being severely late, their response was "apologies, we will try to do better…"
One week after the parcel was finally delivered I received an invoice (and automatic charge of my debit card!) for additional payment for "incorrect weight and measurements of the parcel provided"! My jaw dropped. I contacted them AGAIN to find out that they charged me for it but don't have any valuable info about it.

Hidden costs

My recent experience with ParcelHero has left me frustrated and disappointed. Despite providing exact dimensions and weight for my shipment, I was slapped with an unexpected £159 surcharge on top of the initial £64 charge.

To challenge this, ParcelHero demanded photos of the package with a tape measure - an impractical and unreasonable request. When I asked the same thing, for evidence from the courier, showing the measurements they used, ParcelHero claimed they couldn't provide it.:|

This lack of transparency and the excessive surcharge have left me questioning the fairness of ParcelHero - even as a third party.!Beware of hidden fees and think twice before choosing ParcelHero.!

Such a terrible experience. So many initial issues with booking confirmation, labels not generated, delays in response, confirmation of bookings not received and yet their third party courier UPS still turning up onsite, additional fees due to their errors.

THEN to be told I had to pay 530 euros in customs fees - ParcelHero refused to explain why, UPS refused to help, I had to contact customs directly to get any response! All over Christmas! I was then told the package had been entered by ParcelHero as a "commercial' shipment and I should have had no VAT/Tax fee.

I still got charged a 60 euro amendment fee to fix the issue with customs. ParcelHero refused any responsibility - accused me of filling out the form incorrectly, which is preposterous. I was simply looking for an apology and explanation how this had gone wrong. I got nothing.

Take your money elsewhere if you want peace of mind.

Avoid at all costs

I used this service to send a Christmas gift to Spain on an express service as this would arrive next day. I paid over £60 for the privilege and sent chocolate, toys and facemasks. I filled in the forms which requested details about the items to be sent. At no point was I told that these were restricted in Spain. The day of delivery they sent a message (no phone call) to say they could not deliver the item as it contains restricted items. No information on what and no further options. They have been absolutely shocking and have not provided information even after requested. The options were return or leave it there. I requested a return and they won't do so without charging for the privilege of not delivering! They also help themselves to your bank account after the fact: charged for an adjustment after the fact saying I'd given wrong dimensions/weight of package. A absolute joke of a company.
There are no contact numbers anywhere and the only way to contact them is through a query form on their website.
I am beyond disappointed in this awful service. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

Sent two young relatives a Christmas present via parcel hero (using DPD.) surely the 9th December is sufficient time for a courier parcel no it's 27th December and still no parcel.
But customer service from parcelhero is zero. Just aren't interested.

Fraudsters! Avoid!

I booked a collection which was not made and was then told it would cost £10.56 to rebook (even though they later admitted no one had tried to come and collect the parcel). They agreed to come out and collect a second time - no one arrived. I am now having to book an alternative carrier and have requested a refund of my payment although I have little hope of getting it. I will report them to my credit card company.
