I ordered a couch on January 23,2015 on overstock.com. I understood that because it was oversize, it would take some time. I followed up in early February via Chat, and was advised my couch would be shipping on/about February 13,2015. I continued to check my order status and it still continued to be 'processing' (as it is as I write this review on 2/21/15). After contacting OS again about this order and indicating that if it was not shipping in 7 days I wanted to cancel, I was contacted (2/19/15) by Jasmine who advised she would be the point person on this order. On 2/20/15, I received a bill for the order. I contacted OS and advised I would not pay a penny until the order AT LEAST shipped out of the warehouse/mfg. OS had me call 2 different numbers, neither CSR could help, and referred me back to Jasmine. At this point, I'm so angry I'm not sure what to do, but I want others to know what to expect from OS customer service!
I ordered a set of womens fleece pajamas and a robe approximately 2 months ago. Now both the pajama pants and robe are unraveling at the seams. Paid a price for quality and got junk. No longer a customer. Beware out there when shopping at overstock.com.
Once in a while I find something I need at a good price. Never had any problem with shipping or customer service.

Absolutely flawless for dishwares. Got a set of their cups and I could not be more happy with them. As a tea and coffee lover, I always want to have new pretty mugs to drink from, and this lovely site provided that for me with very little effort! Amazing, amazing. And all the pieces came UNBROKEN! Which is so rare from buying glassware online!

Quite possibly the WORST customer service on planet Earth. Too bad because they do have some good prices from time to time. But even if their merchandise was FREE it's still not worth putting up with such rude and incompetent customer service. I quit shopping with Overstock a while back and I have still been able to find all my shopping needs at other sites, and usually for the same price or better.
Before Amazon, there was Overstock. We've received a couple of nice things from them, but these people don't know the meaning of the phrase "customer service." Was your package ripped open in transit? They don't care. Wrong item? Broken or defective product? No refund. No acknowledgement of any problem. Write a bad review on their website, and your words get deleted. Finally, Overstock = Overpriced. Their "deals" involve "refurbished" items and cheaply-made things one can buy anywhere for less. Bottom line: Avoid at all costs.

Found a great duvet set that was inexpensive and very good quality.
I ordered a dart board from Overstock.com and had a horrible experience. The dart board was shipped in its original box, as if purchased in person from a store - no shipping box or bubble wrap or anything to protect it. It arrived absolutely trashed - the wood was cracked in half, chips throughout the cabinet and even the inside was severely scratched. I called to report the damage and the customer support person asked if I wanted a call or email from the claims department. I asked for a phone call so I could explain that it was shipped improperly. I never received a phone call, just an email that the replacement product was to be shipped to me. And the exact same thing happened again! Even the inside of both dart boards were scratched very badly. I have no doubt both were used dart boards. I felt bad for the customer support people that I spoke with – I guess it's not their fault they work for a horrible company.
I have never written a review, positive or negative, on anything in my life. But I am so frustrated I want to make sure people know to take their business elsewhere.
Great choices and I love the items from other countries that help in that country. I love how it comes straight to the door with very little shipping charges. Unique products
Overstock.com has good prices and very fast shipping. I have never had a problem with anything I have ordered from them.
Answer: Hey, I would be very careful. I have transacted with Overstock three times and I don't believe there is as much security in terms of guarantee as with Amazon. And, if you buy items fulfilled by Amazon (meaning the product ships from Amazon's warehouse) you are even more guaranteed. For example, I bought some dinner napkins from an Amazon seller, fulfilled by Amazon. They were not what they were supposed to be and Amazon issued me a credit immediately and scheduled UPS to pick up my item to return. I'm very confident that with Amazon you will get quality service and if the product is not as described or substandard you will be in better hands especially with Amazon fulfilled items. Overstock is just not up to par and I wouldn't purchase something like a medicated cream from Overstock until they get it together.
Answer: I used a credit card on Overstock when purchasing my bed. It was years ago, I still sleep on it. I had no problems using my credit card on Overstock
