I WOULD GIVE THIS 0 STARS! This is the worst company to deal with. They do not care for customers. I purchased a fan on a saturday night a few minutes later a cancelled the transaction because i found it way cheaper on another site. I was informed that it was to late that it has been shipped i find that impossible. I called to cancel order they would not, I asked about matching the price they couldn't because I was not an O member which you have to pay $20 for it. After going back and forth they offer me the member for free so they can match the price. Once I asked to match the price overstock would not match it because it can not be a third party vendor. Overstock would rather loose business this way instead of pleasing a returning customer. This is my last time i would buy from this place. NEVER AGAIN.

I bought several items in preparation of moving into a new address. First, they have no way to delay shipping until a later date, only 2 weeks. Second, they shipped one item and I received 2 emails simultaneously, one that it was shipped, one that it was delivered. The only problem? I hadn't moved in yet and I had no chance to call UPS to delay delivery( I had already arranged this on 2 items that had been sent out). When told of this screw up a SUPERVISOR tells me she can't do anything to fix it! I told her that I no longer wanted it and to return the item and give me a full refund and she insisted that I would have to pay for shipping to send it back, even though I didn't even have the item and it was their fault for not sending out the notice of shipment. In the end, I arranged for UPS to pick it back up, which they were happy to do but Overstock's Supervisor refused to do. Horrible customer service. I will never shop with them again. I gave them 3 chances to fix the issue and they never did and forced me to deal with it, as if I don; have enough to do with the holidays, works and moving.

I ordered a coffee table (Anjin Enzo Contemporary 2-tone multi-storage coffee table) with Brand of "Furniture of America" from Overstock.com. I received the parts a week after placing the order, just to realize that there were missing parts, without which I could not even start the process of building the table. When I registered a complaint with customer care of Overstock.com, the gentleman names Kade promised that I would receive USD 50.00 as compensation and that the parts would be replaced at the earliest. What happened next... Guess what! I get an email mentioning that the order for missing parts for "Altra Carson End Table' has been placed and I shall hear from their customer care in 2 business days! So wrong parts ordered for wrong product and not a mention of the refund! When i called customer care again to confirm what's going on, I hear that there was no refund promised or registered in system. Also, the parts were wrongly ordered as I had guessed. They corrected it in their system (apparently... let's see what email i receive next from Jessica). And there was NO promise for any compensation...
This is not the first time Overstock.com has messed with the delivery of parts for "Furniture of America". Just a few days earlier, my headboard that ordered from Overstock.com had parts with holes drilled in wrong places., They finally had to send replacement parts which arrived after 8 days of complaining.
NEVER AGAIN any order from OVERSTOCK.COM.

I recently brought a swivel bar stool. When I opened the stool I decided to send it back because I assumed it was two stool for the price I paid. I had a live chat with the intent to return the stool or purchasing an additional stool. I notice within a week the price increased $34. I asked for a refund and a return label. So the rep gave me BS you a valued you customer, if you keep the stool and I give it too you the purchased price will that be alright. I thought about it. I said, as long as I don't pay the increase price. I gave the jackass my information verified the height and same color. When the invoice displayed he charged me the current price of $189. When I complain we disconnected. Contacted another rep. The process took another 45 minutes. She was nice. My order was canceled, a shipping label was sent via email. I was told, I would receive a refund 3-5 days. I had 45 days to return the stool. I returned the stool within two day. Now I'm told I will receive the refund once they receive the stool.
I will never ever order from them again. Walmart and Amazon don't have their customer waiting for your refund that long. I order three items from Overstock, it's amazing how all three items increase in price within a week. Yet they say don't have anything to do with pricing. That's ridiculous.
I purchased a leather headboard. I'm a very comparitive shopper and was a bit nervous. The reviews seemed good so I placed the order. Well it was impossible to attach to the bed frame, one leg screw was bad and mashed the threads to attach to the base of the headboard witch was also drilled in crooked. Overstock asked me to review purchase for a free shipping- I did. They never posted the review and never came through with the free shipping. I waited several days and submitted the review - again- again they would not post the review. I was very respectful in the description btw. NOW YOU KNOW WHY THE REVIEWS ARE SO POSITIVE ON OVERSTOCK.COM.
I BOUGHT SOMETHING PAID IT OFF 1 DAY LATE BUT WAS UNAWARE OF THE CHARGES THAT WERE ACRUING. THEY SENT ME A BILL FINALLY STATING I OWED ONE HUNDRED AND TWO DOLLARS FOR A LATE CHARGE AND OTHER FEES, MIND YOU I HAD A ZERO BALENCE. THEY ALSO WILL NOT HELP YOU LOWER YOUR FEES UNLESS YOU KEEP YOUR ACCOUNT OPEN. THAT RIGHT THERE MAKES ME MAD. NEVERAGAIN WILL I ORDER FORM THEM AND HED THE WARNING.
Can I give them less than a 1 star? Sent wrong item, lied about refund being sent NUMEROUS times. A month later, and still can't get them to refund my money.
You will pay more to return the item than the item cost. Non-existant customer service. In addition, I found the same brand, same rugs for half the price on Amazon.
I ordered an entertainment center through overstock.com. It was scheduled for a delivery date. Day of, did not arrive. I called them, they said that the item had arrived at their warehouse, but was not scheduled for a delivery. Scheduled delivery again and gave the # of my bf and my own for contact as my bf was going to be at the apartment all day awaiting the delivery. Day of, kept my phone with me ALL day, no call to me OR my bf. At the end of the day, contacted them, they claimed that someone tried calling me. I had no missed phone calls or a vm, neither did my bf. At this point, I just wanted to cancel and get a refund, which they agreed to. I proceeded to order an entertainment center through a different website. Next day I received an email from overstock.com saying that they would refund me, but I would be charged a $185 restocking fee. This was not explained to me when I expressed my wish to cancel and now I have ordered 2 entertainment centers and have neither of them! I emailed with a manager, they were not willing to let the restocking fee slide, so I scheduled yet another delivery date, specifying 3 times my phone number not my bf's this time as he could not wait all day this time. They called my bf's # and he had to cancel his physical therapy appt because overstock.com cannot get organized apparantly. I would NEVER order anything from this company again! TERRIBLE experience!
I saw ottoman chair with cow hides, they have the price for $125. When i tey to check out, price keep changing. I contacted them but they have ni answers, i have put a complain to BBB.
I have boughten several things from Overstock. Com and i am very happy and satisfied with my purchases. Things were as promised and delivered on time.

I've had two very bad experiences with Overstock in the last month. The first concerned an order I made for a white set of kitchen table and chairs. They delivered it to me but all of the pieces were yellow even though my order read WHITE, as did the receipt. The customer repI talked with was honest and told me that if I returned and reordered the white set there was no guarantee I would ever get a white set. I sent it back
About the same time I ordered a purse. It was from a third party but I didn't know that. I received the purse but the first (and only) day I used it, the clasp would not close and I was walking into stores with the purse wide open. The third party refused to accept a return as they referred to it as a normal item. I appealed to overstock and they refused to refund the money for my faulty purchase.
I've seen lots of bad reviews over the years I've bought from Overstock but now that I've experienced the disorganization and horrendous customer service, I will never buy from them again!
So change this to ZERO STARS.
We bought a rug from this dealer. Great price, looked good online. But when it was delived it was not very good. Had to pay a fortune to return it!
Be warned do not buy from this company. I ordered wall arches for my living room. I never received any shipping info a week after ordering. Contacted customer service numerous times they we're unable to tell me the status of my order. All they do is give you the run around, never a direct answer. The website doesn't update you at all to tell you when your item is shipping not does customer service know. 10 days after I placed my order it shipped. To me that's unacceptable. I told them to cancel the order, again I was sent a run around email telling me they couldn't cancel it. Why can't it be cancelled if it hadn't shipped yet? I finally get my order, and instead of the brown arches I ordered they sent me blue. Contacted customer service yet again. They said either ship it back for a refund or ship it back to get replaced. I live alone and am disabled I am not able to physically get it back to a shipping carrier. I asked for a small refund as part of compensation because they did in fact send me the wrong color. They offered to refund me $5 back. Lol what a joke and disgusting company. I will never order from this joke of a company again
I ordered a $4K+ bedroom from overstock in early November. After waiting more than 5 weeks for delivery, my $$K+ bedroom suit was delivered without parts. I called customer service because now my bedroom is inhabitable. I have parts all over my bedroom floor. See the pictures attached. The mattress is against the window. I called overstock to get HELP. I asked for a Supervisor to assist me. His name was Paul. He started by reading a card about how sorry he was about my experience, blah, blah. He told me that he could reach out to his partners to get some parts shipped out. Still not understanding my dilemma, I asked to speak with a Manager. He said it would take 2 days for a Manager to respond. Again, I asked Paul if he was understanding my issue. That I was basically without someplace to sleep for the night. Again, he said that he could reach out to his partners to investigate why the parts and instructions were missing. He told me that it would take 2 days for anyone to respond from Overstock. I WILL NEVER SHOP AT OVERSTOCK AGAIN. The customer service is non-existent. The pictures attached reflect my pain and dissatisfaction with Overstock!
We deliberated on a Bookcase for some time comparing options from Overstock and many other stores. Eventually we chose Overstock because there was one on sale and it had a Ratuken discount.
Without any notification or warning, Overstock cancelled our order. Had I not logged on to check the status of the order, I would not have known. Customer service says that after I placed the order they realized they were out of stock. The plan to refund our money but now we have missed out on Black Friday discounts we could have got for alternative options.
We asked that they re-instate our order and that we would be happy to wait for re-stock but they refused. We asked that the promise to offer the item at the price we paid for when it came back in stock but they refused. They said when it comes back in stock we could talk to customer service about the "best price" but refused to promise it would be the same price. Even if it was, we have missed out on the Ratuken cashback offer on Black Friday.
We are devastated that we are now left without a bookcase and will have to pay hundreds more because of their mistake.
My advice to consumers, avoid Overstock; particularly if the product you want is running out. They may never fulfil your order and they won't even tell you when they cancel it.
Answer: Hey, I would be very careful. I have transacted with Overstock three times and I don't believe there is as much security in terms of guarantee as with Amazon. And, if you buy items fulfilled by Amazon (meaning the product ships from Amazon's warehouse) you are even more guaranteed. For example, I bought some dinner napkins from an Amazon seller, fulfilled by Amazon. They were not what they were supposed to be and Amazon issued me a credit immediately and scheduled UPS to pick up my item to return. I'm very confident that with Amazon you will get quality service and if the product is not as described or substandard you will be in better hands especially with Amazon fulfilled items. Overstock is just not up to par and I wouldn't purchase something like a medicated cream from Overstock until they get it together.
Answer: I used a credit card on Overstock when purchasing my bed. It was years ago, I still sleep on it. I had no problems using my credit card on Overstock
