Disappointed
December 12, 2015

I felt I had to review this site- just to vent my frustration. I shopped for office chairs. I was happy to find several at a reasonable price- but each one I tried to purchase had a pop up note saying, 'sorry this promotion has ended,'. My feeling is if the promotion has ended, then the sale price should have been removed. How hard would that be? If feel the price should have been honored. I contacted customer service and they could have cared less. Just had to vent. I also am no longer a customer of overstock.com

I have ordered several items from on line. The prices are very competative. The perfumes are reasonable. The linen and comforters are good quality and affordable. Excellent variety of merchandise to shop. Great customer service if needed. No hassle returns and refunds on most products! I would recommend to friends and family members to shop here!

Ordered a bed frame and the package was delivered over a week later without the screws and legs. After calling and asking for superiors we were promised overnight shipping for missing parts and a call to let us know the items were shipped. Still haven't received the call and still haven't received the package. Will be buying from Amazon from now on.

Overstock has no concern for the customer. I will stick with Wayfair, Amazon and Walmart as my top 3 online stores. First time I purchases from overstock and what I got was not as described. They basically did not believe me. It was the first and last time for me!

Horrible

They refused to take a return of a large expensive item, that is useless to me as it does not fit in my space. They were totally unaccomodating, not helpful at all, and basically said they would not take the return after initially saying they would. So now i am stuck with something i cannot use, and out alot of money. They suggested I resell it. Imagine. I have never been treated so badly by any company. I would never ever buy anything from them again, and would never recommend them to anyone.

Overstock.com was sold to a pirate sometime in the 2000s. They used to be a great company worn real overstock liquidations. Shipping was $3.95, no matter if you purchased a quilt or a bookcase. The current owner wanted the name and immediately turned out into another conglomeration like Wayfair - lots of Chinese, drop-shipped goods and no real overstocks. No real bargains anymore. Sad...

I used them to purchase a rug. The purchase was smooth. The problem I'm having is with their political views. Everyone is entitled to line the pockets of anyone they wish I reserve my choice not to do business with them.

I ordered a bedspread a week before an event at my house that it needed to be in for and the shipping said it would take 3 to 6 days to get here which would have been fine but on the 5th day I checked the status of it and it had hadn't even shipped yet and said it lacked 5 days.

Ordering of cologne

I really thought this company would be better. Ive known people to do business here. I will NEVER EVER! Deal with the place. They lied, I called in DHL delivery involved. They did. Went through a whole dealing with they. All to fight over a refund. Which still have not received. Then the idiots give me a gift card, SERIOUSLY! LOL! Why would I go back to the same crap they put me through. A suppose manager named Sammy spoke with me. Which I challenge that. Because she has no voice mail. First supposedly manager Ive ever spoke with that doesn't have a voice mail. I did contact the BBB. They are asking to try to work it out with Overstock.com. Honestly when I do. They are actually very rude. I m not a customer of theirs thankful for that. They think they are above people. That will come back o0f them. Very bad customer relations.

I ordered a ring for my Daughter and it had a flaw in the stone, they said no problem. They sent me another ring got it two days later. Told me to keep the first ring at no charge. They didn't charge for the second day delivery.

I ordered some memory foam from them and it showed that famous hand imprint that usually stays in the memory foam for a second or so. Well, this cheap stuff couldn't make an imprint even for a millisecond! Then to make matters worse. I write a review about it and they publish it for 1 day. I read it and the next day It's gone. Haven't shopped there since:-(

We ordered an item from Overstock.com about six weeks ago. It arrived a week or so later and we thought that was it. But it isn't. Ever since, we receive numerous e-mails with "special offers" every day. I've unsubscribed by responding to the e-mails, I've done the live chat and called three or four times begging them to stop sending these annoying e-mails but to no avail. I've been assured numerous times that the e-mails will stop but they don't. It's like "Goundhog Day" or "What About Bob?" Unless you're lonely and want to receive these e-mails, don't buy anything from Overstock.com. They never stop.

I have had the worst experience ever with your customer service representatives and other staff. I got a new table and chairs which I loved until I noticed the marble table is cracked and all the wood on the bottom is coming off. I sent pictures and was told I would get a replacement. Then I was told my replacement was lost. Then I was brought a headboard?!?!? Then I was told they can't deliver a new table without new chairs? And now they are refusing to give me a refund. I need help asap this has been going on for almost 4 weeks now and not one person can help me.

Don't go to this store. I ordered a sofa set which was scheduled to be delivered on Monday and I confirmed this on Saturday. But I didn't get the furniture and when I call them, they said there was some confusion and when I said I really need this, they told me that they can deliver it on Tuesday so I took another day off to receive the furniture and when I still didn't get the furniture they told me that it is not scheduled for today. They clearly lied to me. And the staff is also very rude, they were not accepting that it is their mistake. Don't trust them if they something because the other moment they will flip and will say that they never said this. This is the most ridiculous place. They don't even deserve one star.

Overstock does not stand behind products. Period. Bought a rolling chair for $177. Within two months it started shedding 1/32 - 1/16th inch ball bearings and now the chair is useless. When you place an order at Overstock.com it is presumed that the items are in stock since that is what they are selling - overstocked items. However, I actually had a situation where the item was not in stock and the the stock out was not disclosed for 5 days. I had to have the item and was forced to purchase it elsewhere. So I needed to cancel my back order. Overstock does not have a process for that because it is not allowed. It took 3 days of calling, chat sessions and emails to make it happen. Then and only then did they do it because it was 1) their fault and 2) I was moving and not in the position to receive the item when and if they ever shipped it! The process was extremely frustrating. Be forewarned. If it goes wrong with this company, it is hours and hours to make it right. Not worth it.

If you want incorrect orders, jumbled delivery dates, terrible assembly instructions and so-so customer service, you can stick with this company, but I want better marks across the board! This company is TERRIBLE! Their products are no good and the assembly is too much hassle for what was paid to get the items in the first place.

The pillow cases I ordered were not even close to the shade they showed on their site. They also did not have the sheen shown on their site. They wanted me to pay for the return even though it was their mistake. I will never buy from them again!
