Order something and pay an extra $50 for 1 day shipping yet they can't put it in a box until a week has passed. Break their own company policy by charging you before your order ships and who knows how long until that's back. Stay far far away if you want something in a timely manner.
I went through this last time and forgot. The product was clearly not in stock. Label created, but didn't ship for another FIVE DAYS. Then was sent via DHL, it's now been another 10 days and still no product. Good luck getting any kind of information from customer service. I will not buy anything from Optics Planet again.
We purchased a product back in October 2020. We understood shipping would take a while, but what we didn't expect was for them to continue to push it back month by month until they decided to cancel it. They realized they would no longer make money on this order, so they decided to cancel it. Do not advertise a price if you're not going to honor it. We reached out to their customer service team multiple times and they always told us "It will ship once we have it in supply" but they are selling the same product today at a higher price. Scummy business practices, take your money elsewhere.
I ordered ammo on Saturday Feb 3rd. Ordered was cancelled on Feb 8th falsely stating ordered was placed on Feb 6th. When the ordered was placed it was legal for them to ship ammo to me.
They didn't do that and lied to me.
The shipping date changes every week to a week farther away. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME. They don't answer the phone and say they will call you back but the call never arrives either.
As other have mentioned, Optics Planet does not have many of the items they advertise for sale in stock. Their last response (received today) to my multiple inquiries for an expected ship date for an item I ordered six weeks ago was;
"Thank you for contacting us. This order is currently processing. We ask all of our customers to please allow 1-3 business days for orders to process. Once processed, you will receive an email confirmation as well as the tracking information. If there is anything else you need please let us know. Have a nice day!"

I've been buying from Optics Planet for over 3 years and never had any problem of any kind. I have purchased items that still have a better value than when I bought them. Always do your homework and wait for the right time. You'll know when to pull the trigger. Complete uppers, high end optics, ammo to name a few things and about 6 OP beanies.
They have a great selection of products at competitive pricing with frequent coupon codes but the slowest shipping in the industry. Made two separate purchases on the same day; one with free shipping and the other with paid, expedited shipping. Free shipping took 12 days (7-10 advertised) to receive while the paid, expedited shipping (3-5 days advertised) took 9 days. If you're in no hurry to receive your order it's a good company with nice inventory. If you need the products in a reasonable amount of time, you may want to look elsewhere. E-mails normally go unanswered after purchase.

She was so understanding and over the top helpful in processing my return. To be honest I was expecting resistance in getting a refund. Ms Amy, was a professional, super helpful and friendly. Her customer service was above reproach. I even asked for her extension for future business with Optics Planet. Thank you, Ms Amy!
Absolutely do not waste your money on any type of expedited shipping, it is a waste. I requested and paid additional money for 3-5 day delivery. Tried to track item and have been notified expected delivery is 2 weeks after order was placed. I paid for expedited shipping due to a deadline, not that the reason matters. Nothing expedited about DHL which utilized the USPS which is notoriously slow. I have now been burned twice as I dismissed the first time as a fluke. Won't get me a third. I am done with this clown show.

Thanks but no thanks for future orders. No pkg, internal protection damaged most boxes.
Moat all corners on boxes broken off. 3 of the 10 boxes are broken or cracked.
Additionally, for three days I tried to confirm the order shipment update. Your email indicated the order in transit but your website indicated I had nothing on order.

If you are lucky, you can sometimes find a deal and have it shipped without issues. I have had multiple occasions where they list an item in stock that is not in stock. They don't fill backorders properly either. Often times if you contact customer service, they are not very honest.
Ordered 357 mag brass in November. Was "in stock " when Ordered. As of today expected delivery 9/2022. One email stated delivery 2/2022. As of today delivery 9/2022. For something that was in stock. Needless to say order has been canceled
I ordered a holster for an M&P 9, the full sized handgun, not the smaller Shield version. The website explicitly stated that the holster fit the M&P 9, so that's what I bought. Lo and behold, the holster arrived and was for the smaller Shield gun. There were options on the site for me to select the exact holster I needed, such as choosing the model of the gun, the material, etc., and still they sent me the wrong holster. I believe the holsters are made to order, so they had to have used the wrong gun mold to make my holster or it was a rush job. I was able to contact support and they told me to send it back for adjustments. I did just that, and I got it back a few weeks later, now fitted properly for my gun. The only issue I had afterwards was that they told me they would reimburse the shipping cost, but I was ignored for a long time until opening a new claim with them about it. I got my holster fixed and my shipping money back, but it was a hassle. Holster is good quality and affordable otherwise, so if they don't manage to mess up your order then you'll be happy with the product.
I guess I may have just been one of the lucky ones. Because I purchased ammo, received it in the time stated, and am happy with it. I didn't read any of the reviews before my purchase, so I will admit that I naturally feel a little reluctant to place a second order lol. But I can at least say that they're a legit site, with authentic products; they may just have some kinks to work out from what I'm reading.
I ordered a folding stock for an AK 47. I did not read enough to see it would not fit my Yugo AK. I emailed them and they emailed me a prepaid label and told them what I needed. In about a week I had the replacement that for my Yugo AK. If you don't call that customer service you don't know come here from sic'em.
Order number ******* was placed the second week of January. The experience ted ship date continues to get pushed back.This is not the first time this has happened but will likely be my last.
I recently ordered scope rings, after a reasonable amount of time elapsed (2 weeks) I had corresponded. They basically rambled about being at a "satellite warehouse " and slight delay. Some more time went by and I corresponded again and met with another stalling rant. I still waited and without any explanation they just refunded my money back to pay pal. Extremely poor customer relations and terrible business practices. You suck optic planet! Don't buy anything from these people! Take that star off of there and shove it!
I've spent hundreds if not thousands with opticsplanet.com over the years. As of today, no more. Long story short, ordered a g17 zaffiri barrel on sale for $120. Checked out and paid in full for tax/shipping $134 with change only to be notified my barrel will ship in 2 to 3 weeks. Week and a half of waiting i receive a notice from PayPal i was just charged without my permission an additional $23. I'm done, avoid this company
I'm still waiting on an order from two years ago and when I tried to write a review on the product website stating that, Opticsplanet "denied" my review because it "wasn't about the product". That's insane. Horrible business.
Answer: They ripped us off too. I'm going to file a BBB complaint and will mention I'm not the only one the took $$ from and never delivered my order and accused us of lying about it.
