Very bad
March 10, 2020

Ordered a yard of fabric on 2/27/2020. Recieved an email confirmation about my purchase but nothing beyond that. It's currently March 10,2020 and I haven't received the package yet. Contacted customer service two days ago and they have yet to respond. Live Chat also seems to always be unavailable although it says 9a-5p service. They're horrible.

I avoided all the reviews because my item said that it was in stock. Placed my order and a week later they say the item is out of stock and will take 10-14 days to be re stocked. It's been a month and my item still has not shipped out. When I called they said that it would be shipped days ago.

They sold me items they didn't have in stock, sent a partial order and did not contact me about the back ordered items until after I got the partial shipment. Then when I called them they told me it would be in a few days later and shipped immediately. That day passed and of course they did not send the fabric or notify me. I have wasted months waiting! The service could not be worse or more dishonest!

Bad Fabric, Wrong Color

I ordered royal blue velvet from these people. First, the velvet arrived two days outside of the 3-5 days shipping window. Second, the quality is ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE! You can see right through the fabric. Third, it's not royal blue, it's more like a cerulean. Do NOT buy fabric from these people.

I have been LIED to twice already by this company concerning my order's delivery. I will NEVER purchase fabric from this company again. I was told my order would ship in 5 to 7 business days. It had been over a month So I called and was told it would ship next week. It did NOT. Called AGAIN and was told 2 MORE WEEKS. NEVER AGAIN. ZERO STARS!

I placed a small order five days ago to create a hostess gift for Thanksgiving, this Thursday. They have yet to ship the material and I won't be able to make the gift any more. I have emailed with no response back, I tried to call during business hours, and got an answering machine, attempted to live chat during business hours, and they are offline.

Ordered 27 yards of curtain fabric Nov. 6 and paid extra to get it 2 days earlier than free shipping option. It was supposed to arrive in 3-5 business days, but it is now Nov. 15 and it still hasn't arrived. I have called 5 times and emailed at least that many. No replies to emails, except to say my "request has already been handled over phone and is being closed out." Each phone call, I heard a different story about the fabric and why it hadn't shipped. They charged my credit card Yesterday and said it shipped UPS 2 day today. I was just sent a tracking number and it shows that fabric shipped and is scheduled to arrive Tuesday. It was extremely difficult to get reliable information from this (Massachusetts based) company, but hopefully the fabric will be worth the delays. Prices and selection are decent, especially if you're buying a lot of fabric. If you have plenty of time to wait for fabric, you might take a chance on them, but, if not, read the reviews and Consider going somewhere else. I wish I had read them before this purchase!

I went to order some fabric that I was just going to put dirt on for halloween that was ok but then the shipping charges was more than the order. I thought maybe they were overseas but when I checked New England there's no excuse for that it's not heavy material it's burlap cheap burlap.

I will post the brief version of my experience: The original sample I ordered took 3 weeks to get to me and not the 5 business days as quoted online. They didn't even mail the sample for a week after I placed the order. When I tried to get them to overnight the sample, they wanted to charge me $25. The other option they gave me was to cancel my order.
I regretfully ordered the product in May. Quoted 7-10 days for delivery. After a minimum of 20 emails, horrific customer service, zero apologies and lots of excuses, I got my order 4 months later.
Do yourself a favor and NEVER order from this company!

Called the customer (no) care a few times. Terrible customer service if any. They do not want to listen or god forbids resolve your issue. No flexibility or any art of attracting lifetime value customer. Glad not do business with you guys ever.

I ordered two yards of fabric then found a more suitable fabric on their site. I ordered the second choice and immediately emailed them to cancel my first order. I waited for their response, checking daily. They sent an automatic response saying they would respond to my request to cancel. Waited, checked, waited, nothing.

Then both orders were sent. I called they said they had emailed me about canceling. Yes they did, with a return address that did not include their name - OnlineFabricStore.net or anything that would tell me the email was from them.

Every other email, 'Order Received', 'Thanks for Signing Up', 'Your Order has Shipped' had a clear return address of OnlineFabricStore.net. But the one email responding to my cancel order request had a return name of "Xor R." Had I known to look for "Xor R." I could have called them before it actually shipped and maybe stopped it.

They are happy to take the order and ship it a week later, plenty of time to cancel, but become very cryptic and non-responsive to a 'Cancel Order' that was sent literally 15 minutes after the order was placed.

That is not an accident. My total shipping costs will be more than the two yards of fabric. You can be absolutely sure they are 100% aware of that. This is a horrible business model. I will not support a company whose model borders on a scam, regardless of their product.

I ordered fabric for a customer order. 7 days later no fabric. No anything. No call back to update me re order status. No idea if fabric is in stock or it it will ship. My account has been charged the funds for fabric and shipping, that much I do know. Response to my email said "issue resolved" and to open a new ticket if I required any assistance. I am so confused. In the meanwhile I have ordered from another company who will be shipping fabric out tomorrow. I will not order from this place again. I spend thousands on fabric a year so its their loss.

I ordered fabric on 5/13. Big mistake. I received an email thanking me for my order and they put a hold on funds in my account. Then I got an email telling me it was back ordered. I emailed and called them. Eventually they emailed me and said it was back in stock. Awesome. Today I check and the hold on funds is gone, so I can only assume it is not coming now. I am awaiting a response. Also access to an accountnon their website is futile. I have tried everything. It says my email is imvaled and then it says it's already attached to an account. I give up. And as soon as I'm positive they don't have access to my money and they aren't sending fabric I can try to find something locally. I needed this by Thursday, I ordered it in plenty of time. Be very very careful.

I placed an international order (Canada) for a Belgian linen that would have been prohibitively expensive for me to order from Restoration Hardware. I did so with quite a bit of trepidation given the reviews on this site and the issues some customers appear to have had with shipping and quality. I even called customer service to make sure that the fabric in question was, in fact, in stock before I placed the order. I expected shipping to take a long time based on reviews, but I was not overly concerned since the project I purchased the fabric for is not urgent. Happy to report that the fabric arrived in under a week! The item is identical to the sample I received and appears to be very high quality (although I have not unrolled the entire 12 yards). I am very pleased with my experience.

Was supposed to ship in 24-48 hrs, shipped after I requested to be cancelled and refunded was refused. Now having to wait for the order to arrive, then return, then wait an additional 5-7 day to get MY money back but they didn't waste any time taking my money. Do not buy here!

I ordered 10 yards of Black Micro suede fabric for a large order of pillow backings for leather pillows. The order was not completed with the hotel until after the 30 day return period was over. When I finally opened the package and cut the first piece to sew into the pillow backing, my hands became black with the DYE from this low quality product. I checked the fabric description and there was nothing about bleeding colors or dyes.

When I contacted the customer service person (Catherine) she assured me that they would take care of my problem. I explained that had I know how badly this fabric bled, I would not have ordered in the first place.

They would not accept the defective fabric back since I had cut it and it was past their deadline. How could I know about the bleeding without cutting the fabric and working with it?

When I left a poor review on their website to warn others about this, it was never posted OR they just removed it.

Their reviews are only from the customers who had no problem. The negative reviews all appear to have been removed.

I would give them a zero rating, but this is not available. Received my fabric and delivered it to my seamstress to have curtains made. My seamstress called me back and told me that there were repeating flaws and holes in the material. She took pictures and sent them to me. I emailed these pictures to the help center, and their email back to me was that the flaws were on the backside of the fabric and they wouldn't show. That is not correct! It was on the front of the fabric and it was a repeating flaw. Finally they said I could return my order and pay for the return shipping. Why should I pay for their mistake. I have sent several emails to Afrika explaining to her that I have recently been diagnosed with breast cancer and am about to undergo treatment. I would like my curtains in my bedroom done to block out the light. Not only does this company rip you off, they also have no heart. (The picture I wanted to attach the file is too big. These pictures are a tiny sample.)

Be careful about submitting an order. A lot of the fabric online is not in stock, and you will need to wait a long time to receive!

I placed my order in the beginning of the month, and had to contact them several times. Each representative gave me an arrival date, but the date kept getting pushed back.

I had to cancel my order after being told the fabric would be received over 3 weeks after I placed my order. Even then, I do not trust that date since the previous date they gave me was false.

They didn't offer any compensation, such as express shipping or discounts for the huge inconvenience on their part.

Terrible communication, transparency, and efficiency. I do not recommend!
