If I could give them a 0 I would. Had tickets to Tom Petty for last Wednesday. We get all the way to the venue to find out that he rescheduled for the following Monday due to having laryngitis. Well I work in an Emergency Dept and work the day he rescheduled for. I can't just change my schedule around. I had to specifically request the original Wed off. Anyhow, I call Online City Tickets and the lady was unbelievably rude. Told me to try and sell the tickets myself. Also said that on their website it clearly says concerts can be changed at any time and it's "your (my) problem for not reading that". I will NEVER use them again
It was very easy to navigate the site and get the tickets. However, the "service charges" were exorbitant... almost $50 for two tickets delivered electronically. I think this would be a site of last resort... use only when tickets are not available through more legitimate outlets.
You ticket resellers have your nerve charging consumers a 25% "convenience fee" when you should be crediting us for the convenience of you never even having to print out and mail real physical tickets. What do you do besides collect money?
After paying exorbitant handling charges, the tickets did not show up on the date promised. One week later and one day before the performance, still no tickets. Too late now, I will let MasterCard deal with this questionable at best organization.
Easy to navigate web site. Able to locate seat and price we were looking for. Only concern is email received that confirmed order but stated it would take up to 4 months to get e-Tickets. Why can they not be sent as soon as you confirmed?
Tickets are sold for more than face value and mark-up is exorbitant. You might expect and not even mind that if you really have to get your hands on some highly sought-after tickets. But beware the estimated delivery date. From my own experience and those of other reviewers, it seems they make a practice of delivering tickets only a few days before the event. Their customer service will give you specious reasons for that involving the actual seller's not receiving the tickets until then -- but if that's the case it makes me think the sellers are delaying delivery in the hopes of a) selling the ticket for even more to someone else to make it worth refunding you your money, or b) obtaining tickets for lower than face value if the concert doesn't sell as well as anticipated and making even more money off you. In either case, your credit card will be charged immediately for something you will then anxiously wait months to see if you actually receive. My advice is to just stay away.
Making my grandson Jack very happy. He's going to be 2 years old in July. He absolutely loves Paw Patrol. Got my tickets emailed to me the next afternoon! I just wanted to say thank you in advance for your time.
He was a very sweet understanding to the point. He also double checked everything to make sure that all my needs were met and I'm satisfied customer I will definitely be back here for when I want to buy tickets again.
A+service, very simple and easy to use. Great prices. I didn't think I could ever afford to see the Lion King on Broadway. I thought it was just something I would faintly remember from my childhood from when my parents took me. But here we are. Thank you OnlineCityTickets. I know I am not the only woman you have blessed in your years of existence.
Same story as the other reviews. Asked for seats in row A. Paid for seats in row A. But typical bait and switch from a pushy used car salesman at best with a thick accent sold me row AA. When I tried to dispute the ticket customer support or lack their of said sales are final regardless if I heard him correctly or not. Total scam and crooks. Buy from Ticketmaster or more reputable companies. Not these fly by night scam artists.
Price was better than some of the sites... still wish it was illegal to buy up and
Resell tickets. I'd rather just get them straight from Ticketmaster for the real price
Even if I can't be online at 10 am the day the tickets go on sale. But I'm in to see
Dirks so I'm happy about that...
This was a easy way to buy tickets for my daughter graduation present. Sam hunt is one of her favorite singers. This site made it easy with no hassles what so ever. Will be using it again. Thank you so much
Ordering the tickets was a breeze and I got them quickly. However, since it is done by computer, I have to wonder why there was such a wickedly high service fee per ticket. Has this organization taken a lesson from hotels?
So far so good. Fast and secure. Hopefully things will go smooth once l get to the venue. First time trying OnlineCityTickets.com and the only thing that bothers me is the service charge. It's almost like buying another set of tickets.
I purchased tickets to see Chris Isaak's holiday show in December 2017. The show was cancelled, as was the rest of the tour, due to Mr. Isaak falling ill. It has been more than 2 months and I've yet to receive a refund. Online City Tickets says they are waiting to see if the concert is "rescheduled." First, how can a holiday concert be rescheduled later in the year? Second, Neither Chris Isaak's website, nor the Fox Riverside Performing Arts Center mention any rescheduled event. Both say the event was cancelled, not postponed. I will not do business with this merchant again.
Bought 3 tickets to Phantom of the Opera in Vancouver for myself and my two younger sons. The tickets were each $50.00. Well... by the time it was all said and done their service fees were almost the price of the ticket... FOR EACH TICKET! Also, they hide little writing to let you know that the tickets are in USD despite sending me a message that the sale price was in the agreed to Canadian dollars. Brutal company. I've been e-mailing them back and forth for a few days and they keep relying on the "All Sales Final" line. Do yourself a favour and go buy tickets elsewhere. I don't know how these people are still in business... I'm sure I'll enjoy the show regardless but it's a shame these folks are operating in the manner they are. 1 star is too much for OnlineCityTickets.
Would like to know where seats are - I'm in row 6 but not sure of seat numbers. I will look at order confirmation again to be sure I didn't miss something. Also was rather surprised by the almost $40 service charge fee. A bit misleading at beginning of the booking.
Good, expensive service! Would like to know how much they were going to charge before the final invoice came up! My $325 ticket cost about $447 with fees. - WOW!
I guess they are OK if you find a seat you really want (to a sold out show) and had the money to buy it!
Site is really easy to use. Got thru the process in less than 5 minutes. Confirmation email came immediately so within 10 minutes, probably less, I ordered tickets, paid for them, and printed them out.
... service and download changes are much too high. Each ticket had a separate download fee even that it was on the same pdf. I really wanted to see the choir so I decided to swallow the fees up, but will think twice next time before buying. The additional fees came up to 1/5 (=20%) of the entire order! Tickets arrived quickly and there was no problem with downloading them.
Answer: In my case, they sent e-mail that the tickets would be forthcoming. When I failed to receive them the week before the concert, per e-mail download as promised, I called their #, the person on the other end told me that it was will-call at the box-office with the copy of the e-mail I needed to bring. The box office told me that as a 2nd line seller, they did not keep them there. When I called to ask why they did this to me and demanded re-imbursal, they sent the tickets per e-mail download THE DAY AFTER THE CONCERT. They tried to cover their tracks with the credit card company, the problem for them was that the time stamp of their sending the tickets reflected the day after the concert. So essentially, they are not even competent as rip-off artists.
Answer: So sorry to hear you have been conned by this outfit. Apparently sometimes they DO send valid tickets, so I hope you are one of the lucky ones. I suggest you tell your credit card company (by phone and IN WRITING) that you are disputing this charge. Also tell everyone you know to avoid this rip-off company. I know this doesnt help you now, but in the future buy tickets only from Ticketmaster (I've never had a problem with them). Good luck.
Answer: I couldn't even open the download so I called the number and all I got was an answering system to send email and I did but no reply from them so the next day a call about 50 times until I got someone. After getting transferred to 3 different people and waiting about an hour for the supervisor the guy told me no refunds are allowed but money is 100% guarantee if it doesn't work at the time of the event. So I'm praying to God they are good the event isn't until the end of November
Answer: They are scoundrels. I know where their office is and went by there recently. I am laying out a plan.
Answer: If you have already purchased your tickets from this outfit, good luck. They sent me tickets for a concert in Tennessee and I asked for and live in Florida. They said it was MY mistake and that I asked for TN. They supposedly tried to resell the tickets and couldn't so I was out $300.00 for two tickets. They have something like 130 complaints and are a scam outfit. Next time order elsewhere and good luck with these tickets.
Answer: I just cancelled my order because they never sent the tickets. At least you got yours so maybe they will be okay. I would call the arena where the event will be and ask them how many issues they have had with this company. I emailed five times and they always sent an automated response back. Then, when I was in a meeting at work they finally called and the number just read, "33333" when they called me. No return phone number... very strange. They left a message to call them so I did immediately after my meeting (15 minutes)... the automated system was up and did not allow me to speak with a person. Thus far, I have never spoken to a real person when I call their number. I disputed the purchase, got my money back and bought tickets for much less at StubHub. I was surprised because my last tickets at Stubhub were kind of expensive... but these tickets (McCartney) were not too crazy expensive. Anyway, best of luck, and I would make a back up plan.
Answer: You will get your tickets, but they will likely have someone else's name printed on them. Worst of all, they will most likely not be honored at the gate/box office. My advice is to get a refund NOW and buy tickets from a reputable outlet like Ticketmaster. City Online are thieves and scammers. See my review about James Taylor concert in Norfolk, Virginia.
Answer: Contact the venue, give them all the details on the tickets received and verify if U will be able to legitimately use the tickets, considering the issues with this company that are so overwhelming. My experience reviewing all the people who describe their issues with them is that even if the tickets are usable, the overpayment is so excessive that it would have been better dealing with the regular ticket outlet for the venue.
Answer: Yes Ann, you will get your tickets. You just over paid by a HUGE amount... but other then that, the company is legit. They are just robbers the way they do it... thats all. Have a good time and yes, at least now you learned a lesson (like all of us on this site);-)
