The overall reputation of the company is marred by significant customer dissatisfaction, primarily due to issues with ticket delivery, refund policies, and customer service responsiveness. Many customers report being charged exorbitant fees, receiving invalid tickets, and facing unresponsive support channels, leading to frustrations and claims of being scammed. While some customers appreciate the variety of events offered, the overwhelming sentiment reflects a lack of trust and reliability. The company's rigid policies regarding refunds, particularly for postponed events, further exacerbate negative perceptions, suggesting a need for improved customer service and clearer communication.

It was fast and easy. Really great service! Can wait to see Chris Brown! My first time buying tickets and it was made very easy and painless.
Got my tickets almost right away. Very easy to do but the online fees are a little over the top. 18 dollars per ticket is a bit outrageous
Purchased tickets on line last night and received shortly thereafter. Tickets were in section and row as advertised.
Our first experience buying tickets online and our LAST! Our tickets were originally $49.50 each for 2 tickets and our total ended up at $249 plus change. Its going to be hard to actually enjoy this concert now knowing how bad we were gouged by OnlineCityTickets. Our tickets even have someone else's name on them. Sorry folks but we are honest hardworking people who just wanted to try something a little different and this has left a very bad impression! From now on I'll just watch them free on YOU TUBE. The radio station WGAC should be ashamed to advertise this!
We purchased tickets to see Dirty Dancing. We paid $386 for two tickets (way overpriced). My husband sat next to a very large woman. She was so large she took up about a third of his seat and was sitting on him. She was hot and sweaty and consequently smelled. We were both miserable and regretted our purchase. Now we know why those seats were available. I would not pay those prices again and the seats were not that good anyway.
This site made it so easy to order concert tickets for our upcoming anniversary. I will definitely continue to use this site in the future to order tickets for many other entertainment events.
Easy and quick. Only downside was not being able to see exactly where seats will be for the program. If that feature was available, rating would be five stars.
I don't have a problem paying service fees, as long as I know in ADVANCE and not after i've decided to make a purchase. And $19.22 PER ticket?
I'm very sad and dissatisfied with the large service fee ($21 each) I was charged during my recent ticket purchase. This was an online purchase to which I did all of the work. I will like to add, learning about said charge until checkout is disheartening, I felt pressured to continue because I had no choice.
The prices look great at the intial view, but once you've put in your credit card and are one click away from tickets to you even you will be socked with a 30% or better service charge per ticket. Had I just gone to buy the tickets from the venue direct the initial ticket price would have been higher, but in the long run I could have saved $40 in my particular instance.
The website was easy to navigate and picking the ticket was easy and efficient. Now if I get the tickets as promised i will be very happy. These are a birthday gift for my grandson and a friend.
Great service will definitely use again. Easy & quick response, tickets received immediately transaction approved.
I thought I was buying direct from the Buell Theatre and was directed to Online City Tickets. I paid $270 for two tickets to Mamma Mia. When I received the tickets, they were just print outs and I wondered why I wasn't just directed to print online. If I'd bought directly from the Buell, the tickets would have been $110. I thought I was splurging to get decent seats for my daughter, but turns out I was ripped off. You live and learn, but hopefully I can prevent others from making the same mistake.
A lot more costly than face value, only weakness. But, Ticketmaster and mainstream outlets had hardly anything good left already, 5 months in advance. The price you pay for not ordering super early; understandable. Got great seats, overnight shipping included. Better seats than best alternative of similar price with instant download. Bravo.
Tickets were supposed to come day before event but they came a few hours after I ordered them. It was a great transaction
I found it to be a lot of links. And I was told I got a Cd :( hopefully the weather is good and the rest is smooth
Great site, easy to navigate, fast service and delivery was faster than expexted. Secure and safe payment, Thank You
So easy to go in to site and choose what you wanted and purchase, confirmation came over quickly along with great instructions on what was needed for event. Customer service number right there so you didn't need to search for a number if you needed to contact someone.
Like I said, very easy to navigate. I knew what I wanted to look at, and the site brought me right to the concert I picked out. I do not however like this review section since I do not have at least 100 words to say. I will tell other people about this site and use this site again if and when I need tickets.
Answer: In my case, they sent e-mail that the tickets would be forthcoming. When I failed to receive them the week before the concert, per e-mail download as promised, I called their #, the person on the other end told me that it was will-call at the box-office with the copy of the e-mail I needed to bring. The box office told me that as a 2nd line seller, they did not keep them there. When I called to ask why they did this to me and demanded re-imbursal, they sent the tickets per e-mail download THE DAY AFTER THE CONCERT. They tried to cover their tracks with the credit card company, the problem for them was that the time stamp of their sending the tickets reflected the day after the concert. So essentially, they are not even competent as rip-off artists.
Answer: So sorry to hear you have been conned by this outfit. Apparently sometimes they DO send valid tickets, so I hope you are one of the lucky ones. I suggest you tell your credit card company (by phone and IN WRITING) that you are disputing this charge. Also tell everyone you know to avoid this rip-off company. I know this doesnt help you now, but in the future buy tickets only from Ticketmaster (I've never had a problem with them). Good luck.
Answer: I couldn't even open the download so I called the number and all I got was an answering system to send email and I did but no reply from them so the next day a call about 50 times until I got someone. After getting transferred to 3 different people and waiting about an hour for the supervisor the guy told me no refunds are allowed but money is 100% guarantee if it doesn't work at the time of the event. So I'm praying to God they are good the event isn't until the end of November
Answer: They are scoundrels. I know where their office is and went by there recently. I am laying out a plan.
Answer: If you have already purchased your tickets from this outfit, good luck. They sent me tickets for a concert in Tennessee and I asked for and live in Florida. They said it was MY mistake and that I asked for TN. They supposedly tried to resell the tickets and couldn't so I was out $300.00 for two tickets. They have something like 130 complaints and are a scam outfit. Next time order elsewhere and good luck with these tickets.
Answer: I just cancelled my order because they never sent the tickets. At least you got yours so maybe they will be okay. I would call the arena where the event will be and ask them how many issues they have had with this company. I emailed five times and they always sent an automated response back. Then, when I was in a meeting at work they finally called and the number just read, "33333" when they called me. No return phone number... very strange. They left a message to call them so I did immediately after my meeting (15 minutes)... the automated system was up and did not allow me to speak with a person. Thus far, I have never spoken to a real person when I call their number. I disputed the purchase, got my money back and bought tickets for much less at StubHub. I was surprised because my last tickets at Stubhub were kind of expensive... but these tickets (McCartney) were not too crazy expensive. Anyway, best of luck, and I would make a back up plan.
Answer: You will get your tickets, but they will likely have someone else's name printed on them. Worst of all, they will most likely not be honored at the gate/box office. My advice is to get a refund NOW and buy tickets from a reputable outlet like Ticketmaster. City Online are thieves and scammers. See my review about James Taylor concert in Norfolk, Virginia.
Answer: Contact the venue, give them all the details on the tickets received and verify if U will be able to legitimately use the tickets, considering the issues with this company that are so overwhelming. My experience reviewing all the people who describe their issues with them is that even if the tickets are usable, the overpayment is so excessive that it would have been better dealing with the regular ticket outlet for the venue.
Answer: Yes Ann, you will get your tickets. You just over paid by a HUGE amount... but other then that, the company is legit. They are just robbers the way they do it... thats all. Have a good time and yes, at least now you learned a lesson (like all of us on this site);-)
