The overall reputation of the company is marred by significant customer dissatisfaction, primarily due to issues with ticket delivery, refund policies, and customer service responsiveness. Many customers report being charged exorbitant fees, receiving invalid tickets, and facing unresponsive support channels, leading to frustrations and claims of being scammed. While some customers appreciate the variety of events offered, the overwhelming sentiment reflects a lack of trust and reliability. The company's rigid policies regarding refunds, particularly for postponed events, further exacerbate negative perceptions, suggesting a need for improved customer service and clearer communication.

I went to purchase 2 tickets for an upcoming event. I selected the 2 tickets i wanted. At time of purchase the site said they were no longer available to select others. I did select another set but once my order was complete instead of 2 tickets, they say I purchased 4? Within 1 minute I call them to advise this discrepancy and change the order..." Oh we can't do that as the tickets have already come off the board." I get to a supervisor who offers me 150 credit with THEM for future purchase on something that cost me over 600 because of their website... I have reported to my credit card company and this will be resolved. They will loose more than one customer because of the person who posted their tickets here for sale will also be out their money!
$40 per ticket of service charges seems a bit extreme. Not to mention what is this charge for? What the heck?
It was very easy to get tickets and I received them right away! I am very happy with my purchase. I would definitely recommend this site to purchase your tickets.
They used a stolen credit card number for tickets, and despite me calling and emailing both them and the credit card company immediately, they are claiming the "purchase" is valid. They are criminals. I am just shocked and upset by this entire experience and they absolutely refuse to do anything about it.
Found out about Bob Seger announcing that this is his last tour just a few hours ago. I'm 53 and grew up listening to Bob Seger and was determined to see him. This was the first site to have tickets available for people who have to travel to another state to see the show. I wanted good seats for one of my top 10 must see acts. I was able to get two center section seats at the show in Des Moines IA.
Awaiting tickets. Service charge was unreal. The convenience fee was nearly 35% of the cost of the ticket.
STAY AWAY from these scammers! Not only their tickets are overpriced (when there is a lot of tickets still available), the fees and charges are insane! Sometimes near 70% of the ticket itself! They may not ship it to you as they promise, and you end up printing your own tickets without notice! Their fine print has no tolerance on refund and exchange. Check the actual venue for tickets, don't buy from these guys! Customer support is a nightmare! KEEP OFF from OnlineCityTickets!
I didn't know my stats had an obstructed view of the stage until after I had already purchased them. That's disappointing.
My contact was EXTREMELY helpful for locating the best seats for the price and the location for the event we will attend in San Francisco, Ca this December.
Fast and efficient ticket ordering and purchasing service. Thank you for a great experience. We are looking forward to attending this great event. We will tell all of our friends and family.
Quick and easy delivery. This site worked much easier than others that I have used in the past. Will definitely use them again for my future ticket needs.
Additional charges come as a surprise when purchasing tickets and are overly expensive for what they're for, supposedly.
Submitted order for two tickets, received call and email to verify card used. Verified it twice and yet they cancelled stating the card image was an issue. They use Sertifi to "facilitate online authorization" yet it only delayed the process only to find out they cancelled it. Very disappointed, representatives don't care, unprofessional and terrible process. Don't waste your time or money.
Always a pleasure. Fast and easy to use! Instantly downloaded. Thank you. Looking forward to the concert
I downloaded the ticket easily and the web site was easy to use. However the additional charges seemed high.
It purchased 7 tickets. I only received 4 tickets via email. Thankfully the venue found seats for us and let all 7 of us in.
I am typing while on hold for the 10th time during my one call. Paid for the tickets in June. Nothing came from seller. Told to wait. Called back in September 5 days before event. Had one agent for 1/2 hour, then on hold for senior agent. They claimed the seller had already sent the tickets. Then made me search my email account for the second time. They say seller sent them but don't have any visual proof to ensure that the seller sent them to my correct email address. Do they really think I would wait on hold for them if I actually had the tickets? Sigh. Now waiting for a supposed resend. Worrying that this has all been a scam. Will get American Express involved and Better Business Bureau if this is not resolved. Final time on phone: 8:26-9:52 And still no tickets in my inbox. Told to call back in two days if I still don't have my tickets. DON'T USE THIS COMPANY!
I purchased4 tickets for Trans-Sibrian Orchestra on Nov., 17th 2018 at 84.00 each. After tickets are printed the price on the say 47.50 each. So why did it cost me $445.43 for 4 tickets?
Not good - I would like the 2 tickets printed with my name on them

Answer: In my case, they sent e-mail that the tickets would be forthcoming. When I failed to receive them the week before the concert, per e-mail download as promised, I called their #, the person on the other end told me that it was will-call at the box-office with the copy of the e-mail I needed to bring. The box office told me that as a 2nd line seller, they did not keep them there. When I called to ask why they did this to me and demanded re-imbursal, they sent the tickets per e-mail download THE DAY AFTER THE CONCERT. They tried to cover their tracks with the credit card company, the problem for them was that the time stamp of their sending the tickets reflected the day after the concert. So essentially, they are not even competent as rip-off artists.
Answer: So sorry to hear you have been conned by this outfit. Apparently sometimes they DO send valid tickets, so I hope you are one of the lucky ones. I suggest you tell your credit card company (by phone and IN WRITING) that you are disputing this charge. Also tell everyone you know to avoid this rip-off company. I know this doesnt help you now, but in the future buy tickets only from Ticketmaster (I've never had a problem with them). Good luck.
Answer: I couldn't even open the download so I called the number and all I got was an answering system to send email and I did but no reply from them so the next day a call about 50 times until I got someone. After getting transferred to 3 different people and waiting about an hour for the supervisor the guy told me no refunds are allowed but money is 100% guarantee if it doesn't work at the time of the event. So I'm praying to God they are good the event isn't until the end of November
Answer: They are scoundrels. I know where their office is and went by there recently. I am laying out a plan.
Answer: If you have already purchased your tickets from this outfit, good luck. They sent me tickets for a concert in Tennessee and I asked for and live in Florida. They said it was MY mistake and that I asked for TN. They supposedly tried to resell the tickets and couldn't so I was out $300.00 for two tickets. They have something like 130 complaints and are a scam outfit. Next time order elsewhere and good luck with these tickets.
Answer: I just cancelled my order because they never sent the tickets. At least you got yours so maybe they will be okay. I would call the arena where the event will be and ask them how many issues they have had with this company. I emailed five times and they always sent an automated response back. Then, when I was in a meeting at work they finally called and the number just read, "33333" when they called me. No return phone number... very strange. They left a message to call them so I did immediately after my meeting (15 minutes)... the automated system was up and did not allow me to speak with a person. Thus far, I have never spoken to a real person when I call their number. I disputed the purchase, got my money back and bought tickets for much less at StubHub. I was surprised because my last tickets at Stubhub were kind of expensive... but these tickets (McCartney) were not too crazy expensive. Anyway, best of luck, and I would make a back up plan.
Answer: You will get your tickets, but they will likely have someone else's name printed on them. Worst of all, they will most likely not be honored at the gate/box office. My advice is to get a refund NOW and buy tickets from a reputable outlet like Ticketmaster. City Online are thieves and scammers. See my review about James Taylor concert in Norfolk, Virginia.
Answer: Contact the venue, give them all the details on the tickets received and verify if U will be able to legitimately use the tickets, considering the issues with this company that are so overwhelming. My experience reviewing all the people who describe their issues with them is that even if the tickets are usable, the overpayment is so excessive that it would have been better dealing with the regular ticket outlet for the venue.
Answer: Yes Ann, you will get your tickets. You just over paid by a HUGE amount... but other then that, the company is legit. They are just robbers the way they do it... thats all. Have a good time and yes, at least now you learned a lesson (like all of us on this site);-)
