The overall reputation of the company is marred by significant customer dissatisfaction, primarily due to issues with ticket delivery, refund policies, and customer service responsiveness. Many customers report being charged exorbitant fees, receiving invalid tickets, and facing unresponsive support channels, leading to frustrations and claims of being scammed. While some customers appreciate the variety of events offered, the overwhelming sentiment reflects a lack of trust and reliability. The company's rigid policies regarding refunds, particularly for postponed events, further exacerbate negative perceptions, suggesting a need for improved customer service and clearer communication.

My mistake for not looking them up before purchasing my tickets but I bought tickets for next year in March and was charged $150 more than expected. Catch is, I bought the day pre-tickets were available and didn't think much of it thinking tickets were maybe legitimate but I went on Ticketmaster a few hours later and my friend picked up the SAME seats for the correct price.
Highly doubt the legitimacy of the company, but I contacted support and they said it's final sale and my responsibility to resell them if I don't want them anymore. Too bad no one will be able to buy them unless I pawn them off to some poor sucker that won't be able to use them, cause I already got the same seats through the venue.:|
PSA that the total will NOT show the final price or value until you purchase it.
Scam company. Beware. Not only was I charged more than $120.00 more than my agreed upon price and was provided a bill without any breakdown of the extra fees, the show I paid for was cancelled by the artist and...? They will not refund the money! This was after 2 hours on the phone trying to find an actual human on the other end.
I bought 4 tickets at $267.00 each. I figured the bill would be ABOUT $1060 (4 X 267) assuming there would be some kind of tax or handling fee added. There was no mention of Service Fee during the order process. I paid through PayPal and was immediately informed by PayPal that I had paid $1400. 71. (32% more that the stated price). I immediately contacted OnLineCityTickets via Chat and the kindly sent me a breakdown that showed a SERVICE FEE of $325! ($81.25 per ticket or 30% Serve Fee). BEWARE!
The person who took my order was good but the seats were terrible. Right in front of us was a big square and so we couldn't see well and everyone was standing at stairs blocking our view
They take no responsibility for changing of the dates on last minute and then make it your responsibility to find somebody to buy the tickets it is a total rip off
We got ripped off by them over Ed Sheeran concert in Milwaukee this is not a company that can be trusted whatsoever
Luis was very helpful and very detailed. All of my questions were answered. He explained to me everything.
BUYER BEWARE. $71.00 FEEEEEEEEEE $6.95 FEEEEEE for e ticket so they dont have to pay for postage and mail it to you! They took our $300 payment and charged us $6.95 cent fee for e ticket only to find out that they dont even have ticket available that they are selling they will let me know no later than december 3 and I purchased on November 5. Total $#*!ery with no guarantee of ever recieving a ticket all we get is sarcasm and condescension from the employees who insist we signed agreement this way even though their $#*!ty policies were only told after we made the purchase.
So I'm going to choose my words quite carefully here. I've read a lot of negative whining about the prices charged for tickets from this website. This is unjustified in my view. The person I spoke to was completely upfront about the charges, my card was charged exactly what I was quoted, and it was my choice to buy. If you don't like the price then don't buy. I can't say I'm generally in favour of this kind of business, but then I don't like Ticketmaster's stranglehold on events either, and OnlineCity provided a service to me when I needed it, and provided it with excellence. I missed my chance to get tickets through more legitimate means, and they got me into a concert I was desperate to attend at a not unreasonable cost. The website is easy to navigate and I was delighted with the service provided. They are what they are, people; scalpers/touts with a website. If you are okay with that then they may be your best option in a tight spot, and I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.
Thought I was ordering tickets to a comedy venue at Cleveland's Playhouse Square and the option for purchase tickets was rerouted to this city ticket site without me knowing. I purchased two tickets and got fake tickets sent to me UPS. In the middle of filing a lawsuit. How is this place even allowed to do business? I've also contacted the better business bureau and they said they have had several similar cases... it can't speak to a live person and the TelePrompTer is setcto getvyku so frustrated that you hang up and bang your head against a wall. Deceitful on every level
Always good recommendations, nice talking, sometime is better than do it by your self. Thank you for the service
The service from Arthur was very impressive, top-notch! Arthur is very thorough and helpful. He answers all your questions patiently. He is very resourceful.
First of all, I am so confused. I purchased tickets through Vivid Seats. They couldn't find them anywhere! They denied me ever purchasing them even with my PayPal confirmation that they took $419.88 out of my account for Ed Shearen tickets in the New Orleans Superdome. Finally, after a dozen phone calls to vivid seats, my tickets finally appeared! Come to find out, they are actually from onlinecitytickets.com I guess? That's where my email confirmation is from even though I purchased them from vivid Seats. Concert is tomorrow night, and I'm nervous as heck they aren't legit.
Your people are amazing staff so pleasant to speak with. I had the perfect tickets thanks to this page and Oliver was great! Thank you for that
THIS COMPANY IS NOT IN THE UNITED STATES THEY ARE IN THE DOMINICAN REPUBLIC
I shelled out over $900 + fees to take my wife and 10-year-old daughter to see the Ed Sheeran concert. Tickets were purchased 1 year in advance for a concert on 10/27/18. TICKETS NEVER RECEIVED! Charged the full amount with no refund.
When I questioned that the tickets were never received they stated that the re-seller provided them with adequate proof but my messages - InBox, Deleted, Junk, Spam, etc. are automatically stored by more than a decade - all were checked tickets never provided. When I asked for the proof that they were sent they could not provide. NO refund was provided.
NOTE: You will identify addresses in the United States but when you call customer support you will get someone from the Dominican Republic where the business is located. If you complain or have questions they will transfer you to a "Supervisor" who is either in the United States or has a very good American Accent.
Stay away from them like the Plague!
The customer service agent was absolutely fabulous this was my first time purchasing tickets for any venue in over 15 yrs He eased my mind about the purchase and took his time finding me the right seats.
I have called the customer service number several times and explained that I was sold tickets to the wrong concert, placed on hold and was either disconnected or no one ever came back! I paid for 2 tickets and drove one hour to find out it wasn't the right concert! We turned around at the door, never saw the concert and I'm out of $150 dollars! I want some compensation for the miscommunication of the customer service representative, who is foreign and spoke limited English. I specified I wanted tickets for The Young Jeezy concert and he booked me for The Young Giant, me not knowing much about this artist and it was a surprise for my friend, I assumed that was the title of his tour! I would like someone to contact me and rectify this situation. I can be reached at *******727. Thank you.
The technician who answers the phone when we had questions took us through everything we needed to do to purchase the tickets from you. He was very pleasant and thoughtful! His name is Cesear.
Online City Tickets. Lousy company... I ordered some tickets and they took $680 out of my pocket, but I never saw any tickets. After that they declined my request for a refund without hesitation. My advice: find your tickets somewhere else!
I felt hesitant in buying, it started at $21 a ticket then by the end it was pushed to close to $30 a ticket before I realized it. I regret my purchase and tried to cancel after hanging up, my husband felt I was taken advantage of when it came to all the charges that came with it. I feel succored. That was way more than I expected to pay. I expected just sales tax, possibly 4 or $5 more but not $10, ouch. Won't ever by tickets over the phone again.
Paid 377.00 for tickets face value of 158.00 There were 1000s of tickets available. Not supply and demand. JUST SCALPING. Should be illegal.
Answer: In my case, they sent e-mail that the tickets would be forthcoming. When I failed to receive them the week before the concert, per e-mail download as promised, I called their #, the person on the other end told me that it was will-call at the box-office with the copy of the e-mail I needed to bring. The box office told me that as a 2nd line seller, they did not keep them there. When I called to ask why they did this to me and demanded re-imbursal, they sent the tickets per e-mail download THE DAY AFTER THE CONCERT. They tried to cover their tracks with the credit card company, the problem for them was that the time stamp of their sending the tickets reflected the day after the concert. So essentially, they are not even competent as rip-off artists.
Answer: So sorry to hear you have been conned by this outfit. Apparently sometimes they DO send valid tickets, so I hope you are one of the lucky ones. I suggest you tell your credit card company (by phone and IN WRITING) that you are disputing this charge. Also tell everyone you know to avoid this rip-off company. I know this doesnt help you now, but in the future buy tickets only from Ticketmaster (I've never had a problem with them). Good luck.
Answer: I couldn't even open the download so I called the number and all I got was an answering system to send email and I did but no reply from them so the next day a call about 50 times until I got someone. After getting transferred to 3 different people and waiting about an hour for the supervisor the guy told me no refunds are allowed but money is 100% guarantee if it doesn't work at the time of the event. So I'm praying to God they are good the event isn't until the end of November
Answer: They are scoundrels. I know where their office is and went by there recently. I am laying out a plan.
Answer: If you have already purchased your tickets from this outfit, good luck. They sent me tickets for a concert in Tennessee and I asked for and live in Florida. They said it was MY mistake and that I asked for TN. They supposedly tried to resell the tickets and couldn't so I was out $300.00 for two tickets. They have something like 130 complaints and are a scam outfit. Next time order elsewhere and good luck with these tickets.
Answer: I just cancelled my order because they never sent the tickets. At least you got yours so maybe they will be okay. I would call the arena where the event will be and ask them how many issues they have had with this company. I emailed five times and they always sent an automated response back. Then, when I was in a meeting at work they finally called and the number just read, "33333" when they called me. No return phone number... very strange. They left a message to call them so I did immediately after my meeting (15 minutes)... the automated system was up and did not allow me to speak with a person. Thus far, I have never spoken to a real person when I call their number. I disputed the purchase, got my money back and bought tickets for much less at StubHub. I was surprised because my last tickets at Stubhub were kind of expensive... but these tickets (McCartney) were not too crazy expensive. Anyway, best of luck, and I would make a back up plan.
Answer: You will get your tickets, but they will likely have someone else's name printed on them. Worst of all, they will most likely not be honored at the gate/box office. My advice is to get a refund NOW and buy tickets from a reputable outlet like Ticketmaster. City Online are thieves and scammers. See my review about James Taylor concert in Norfolk, Virginia.
Answer: Contact the venue, give them all the details on the tickets received and verify if U will be able to legitimately use the tickets, considering the issues with this company that are so overwhelming. My experience reviewing all the people who describe their issues with them is that even if the tickets are usable, the overpayment is so excessive that it would have been better dealing with the regular ticket outlet for the venue.
Answer: Yes Ann, you will get your tickets. You just over paid by a HUGE amount... but other then that, the company is legit. They are just robbers the way they do it... thats all. Have a good time and yes, at least now you learned a lesson (like all of us on this site);-)
