This site is great if you dont have time to go through and call people. I needed a clean done for our office in sydney, I stated exactly what I needed and within seconds I had people calling me with quotes. My job was completed in the week. Very happy

I wanted a cost indication, I made a general inquiry, Oneflare published publically the wrong email address for a connected but unrelated business. With information not related or mentioned in the inquiry. The phone and emails ran hot for the wrong business and web site. The wrong services were offered and the replies were aggressive and offensive when told they were responding to the wrong information.
I tried to contact Oneflare and found that also extremely difficult/impossible. Frustration leads me to make this review.

These sites exist for one thing $$$
They don't really care for the poor tradie who pays to join unless pay the premium rate as a preferred/recommended tradie.
Even less satisfaction for many of the people using these sites. Poor workmanship, overcharging and then having to pay again to have rectification work carried out.
There's no loyalty and no real satisfaction for tradies who kid themselves they are self employed on these sites.
The fact is thee is less than a 30 % chance of a satisfactory result with any service providing site.
Put it this way - if these sites were so safe, and offered the answer for finding good tradies why don't the Strata Managers, Property managers, Insurance Companies, Schools and big businesses use thes sites?
Risk is the answer. So before you get sucked in think it over

I have used Oneflare two times and both times have been disappointed. The first time I put a job for the repair of a TV and had zero replies. This time I wanted my carpet steam cleaned. I placed the job, a man rang and gave a reasonable quote. We booked a date and he gave me his phone number. He was to ring and confirm the time, I never heard from him. I rang the number that he gave me for three days, no answer, and he never showed up. I wrote an email and sent to Oneflare and advised them and have had no response to my email. What can I say!

The clientele oneflare attracts are predominantly tyrekickers and nickel and dimers. They want skilled tradespeople for the price of a 16 year old hospitality worker.
Moreover oneflare has an unfair contract term that makes you cancel your account in writing *15 days before your next monthly payment is due*. There is no need for this.
2 weeks isn't long enough develop an informed opinion about whether its any good or not. You need a full month. Oneflare shouldn't gouge new users for an extra months payment if they decide the platform isn't much chop.
Cancelling a subscription is instant with one click of a button. Its a largely automated website that connects tradies to leads. You are either signed up or you arent. The idea that oneflare needs 15 days to "process" cancellations is absolute garbage.
Oneflare intentionally traps people into paying for an extra month by making it unnecessarily onerous to cancel with this 15 day rule.

Hi Zane, thanks for your review. I'm disappointed to hear you've had a poor experience with the leads. Predominantly we find that customers using Oneflare hire the business with the most reviews and price is not as important as the reputation and qualification of the business they are hiring.
The 15 day cancellation policy is disclosed to businesses when they sign up. If you are in a position where you are not sure if you are willing to continue I would recommend requesting to cancel your plan just in case the remainder of your experience shows Oneflare will not work for your business. You can always choose to sign up if you change your mind later.
Recently had a problem with an elderly customer seemingly stuck back in the 70's regarding pricing. I contact Oneflare support and a Oneflare staff member named * said, and I quote
"The sooner old dinosaurs like Peter (the customer) die the better off we all are!" and "I can't wait to see what he is going to say", and "Come on Peter. Hurry up Peter you old Fossil" and "I love this sort of stuff seeing what clueless idiots like this say" and "I'm married to a tradie and I know what fools like this are like"
Very unprofessional and disrespectful behavior.

The person you sent was absolutely useless. I complained to you and you dodged the situation. Luckily I got rid of him shortly after he started before he completely wrecked my place.
I lost $3,000 deposit on this incompetent 'handyman' and it's been a while. Anybody who sees the 'work' would swear it was done by children. In the meantime my place looks rather nasty from the street.
I felt totally ripped off and have been reticent to get the work re-done due to being 'gun-shy' with trades people and various personal matters that have cropped up.

Advance notice needs to be given to suspend an account and only thru an account manager, funny the only time you get to speak to somebody. As for the leads not for tradies crap leads and overpriced for what you're getting very little flexibly. HiPages offers better service.

Businesses are advised upon signing up that a cancellation request needs to be made 15 days before your plans next renewal date. Your account manager is also directly contactable during office hours and are always happy to assist you. I'm dissapointed to hear that you feel that the leads were not suitable for your business. I'd like to speak with you to discuss why you feel this was the case and look forward to hearing from you via email.
Hired a painting business only to have the project ruined. These guys were masquerading as professional painters and the result is sickening.It seems Oneflare host just anybody without a proper screening process. We are contacting Dept of Fair Trading about the contractor and implicating Oneflare also for hosting these mugs. I second, stay away.

Joined to find an accountant had several email replies, most very professional however one was extremely rude and unprofessional, contacted oneflare and was told someone would contact me, still no contact obviously not interested in customer service

May I warn potential advertisers with Oneflare that these people do not represent your best interests.
I have found their leads to be generally unqualified and after I signed on as the only provider in my sector in my area they jacked the price per lead up significantly claiming that because I had signed on there had been a 100% increase in demand, hence the price rise. Oneflare have now cancelled my account balance to zero and are refusing to provide a statement of transactions which would enable me in formalising my complaint to the Office of Fair Trading.
Be very, very careful before you flush you advertising budget down the toilet of Oneflare.

I've taken a look into your account and can see that your lead pricing hasn't changed since the 14th of June when you first signed up and started quoting. Some leads in your particular category are more expensive than others by around $1 (1 credit) and this is because we have a dynamic pricing system that prices each lead based on their location, popularity, size, and many more factors. The great thing is, we show the price to quote beforehand so you can pick and choose if it's worth it to quote. There was about a month between when you quoted for the first time (first quote is free) and when you purchased your first credit pack so you had seen the pricing before you started using us more regularly.
All credit packs carry an expiry date, which you were notified of when you decided to purchase one. We send a reminder 10 days out from your expiry in case to encourage you to use them up. A few of your credits from that pack did expire as you weren't able to use them, but your account is still open and ready for you to use or access at any time. You can find any invoices in your Account Settings under your Billing tab if you'd like to download them. I'll send you a copy of your invoice and a password reset email in case you're having trouble accessing your account. Please reply and let me know if there's anything else you need, speak soon.
One flare claim to bring clients to your business. I signed up for their premium service at $99/month for 4 months in total without generating any work. The cost to bid on jobs is random (and too expensive). They do not validate the jobs or the contacts. Most jobs requested unrealistic low budgets. I don't know how any business makes money from jobs on Oneflare. And their support & service stops once you sign on with them. It took them two weeks to correct a problem with my listing where my business profile was not displayed. A complete wast of money. There are more cost effective methods of generating business.

At Oneflare we aim to maintain the most competitive lead prices in the market whilst not compromising on lead quality. These lead prices are determined by a complex algorithm that takes into account many job attributes such as size, location and demand. The price to respond to the customer is always listed on the lead before you quote so you can pick and choose what you wish to spend your money on.

Oneflare has cost us thousands of dollars and caused us a huge amount of stress. Oneflare claims to provide connections to independently verified trade businesses, "connecting you to the right experts first time and every time". In our experience nothing could be further from the truth. Our landscaping contractor in Canberra, hired through Oneflare, was a scammer and a thief, possessing zero qualifications. We have reported him to Oneflare but he is still listed on the website. The landscaper is even using a false/unregistered name - so much for Oneflare's "verification". We have lost thousands of dollars in stolen deposit money. The Oneflare "Customer Happiness Team" doesn't even try to help. No care and no responsibility!

Despite having many professional businesses registered on the platform who are keen to help customers out, we always encourage our customers to do as much research into their potential businesses as possible. This includes comparing reviews, qualifications, past work photos and more. When a business uploads any of these items we upload them on their profile so you can see they have them and make an informed decision.
If an issue does arise, we are happy to attempt mediation and a desired resolution between yourself and the business, taking necessary measures to ensure this does not happen to anymore customers.
Needed an accountant for tax return (Honestly still do) but one who contacted me was impossible to get on the phone to arrange meeting, there was no real amount quoted and they were the only ones to respond. I posted again and got somebody wanting to do it via email for $250... Might just try the dodgy accountants down the road at this point

We started out with Oneflare early on and I think we paid $49 per month for 20 Leads. They have substantially increased their lead prices over the past 3 years where they have now asked us to pay an enormous $320 per month for the same 20 leads, even after telling us we could stay on our current plan ($159 per month for 20 leads) for as long as want. Most of the time leads never get answered or went nowhere. Complete waste of money, so understandably we cancelled our plan. Money hungry companies that don't give a toss about small businesses that made them successful in the first place

I have a pest control business, and have been on Oneflare for just over a year. Last year their platform was semi successful for me, as far as covering costs and trying to create repeat customers. This summer, so far has been a disaster. I haven't even recouped my increasing quote bid costs. Incase you didn't know, all businesses that submit a quote to you(up to six per job now) have to pay, in my industry, between $10 & &15 per job bid. This is how Oneflare generates income (as well as passing your data on). If I go out and perform a general pest treatment at a house that is both effective and legal, my costs will be around $110. I am now up against new operators charging $75. This cannot be effective or legal. Don't be sucked in by the cheapest option possible, in this industry, it can cause a lot more problems than it solves and lead to no end of legal issues.
