I had a problem with unsolicited pop-up windows. I tried everything and finally went to Microsoft site to download another copy of IE 11. That didn't work either. What I thought was the Microsoft Help Desk was instead Omni Tech Support. After 11 hours (really!) and $279.99 later my problem is fixed and that's why I gave it 2 stars. But the real issue is their technical knowledge is really not worth it. They did exactly everything I did, and the reason it took 11 hours was the software that they installed (Advanced System Optimizer) performed an entire optimization of my system. This s/w is worth the price ($29) and it removed 262 junk files, 1457 spyware, installed 15 drivers, and fixed 22 registry files. The only thing they did different was they finally uninstalled Google, Ask, and MySearch. The first 2 hours with Omni Tech Support was wasted on trying to sell me their on-line support for 2 years for $299, then they brought it down to 1 year for an extra $50. I finally got the $279.99 package for 6 months and the Advanced System Optimizer for 1 year. I will renew ASO after a year. It's worth it. But, we ware of on-line support services -- especially Omni Tech Support!
I was looking for some help from Microsoft and got shunted to Omnitech instead. What a joke! For hours, they went through the same steps I had already taken. They kept taking control of the computer away from me, so I finally had to shut it down. I count myself lucky that I was only taken for $56.00. They tried to make me sign up for $250.00 but I put a stop to that. Don't go near them!

When a customer contacts us, the we identified ourselves as OMNITECH SUPPORT”. We never tell the customer that We are Microsoft or related to them. We always identify who we are. Our name is one our website and appears dozens of times in our Terms & Conditions. Our technicians are trained and certified to work on Microsoft products in addition to working on other software, networking, setup, registry and virus issues. Because we are a large organization, if he did a Google search for a Microsoft-related issue, our information would appear fairly high-up on the page. Because we are not Microsoft, we do not honor their warranties, so charging for doing work is simply not “bait & switch”
We’re an Independent Support and certified to work on Microsoft products, and we’re a large support company. We are not scamming anyone or not performing any unethical practices. We provide cost effective support to many thousands per day and they are very happy with our beneficial services to maintain their computer bug free and at peak performance level. As it is a trusted 3rd party diagnostic tool, no one can produce a bogus result with it.

Total fraud, i called because i had an issue with MS office then, they tell me i got a polymorphic virus and ask for 250$ to remove and repair my computer and telling me it will take 30-40 minutes... an hour and half later still the "technician" tries to sell me a complete care package but i while checking what the tech was doing(nothing) after awhile i go to my other computer and found some very bad press on Omni-tech services. When i ask the technician what he was doing he told me he was repairing files by manually! Complete B. S. these guys are total fraud and worst they are proud to say they are member of the B. B. B. Like its gonna be applicable with a company operating in India. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM. I've fix my computer myself

I feel I was really ripped off. For $249. Not only was my computer in worse shape when they were done with it... almost 2 full days talking to techs. They took over my homepage and personalization and added things to my files. I was very uncomfortable then. Today, someone who barely spoke English said they were from Microsoft and that my computer was sending them notices that it was infected with several viruses. I have uninstalled everything they put on my computer and am in the process of
Changing all my pins and ID's. This is a scam! I only went with them because it was a likn from Microsoft Support and said it was approved by BBB. Don't get caught!

The call from an alleged Microsoft representative, this person received was not from OmniTech Support. It was a scam call. It was not us. We simply don’t call people and tell them they have a virus. This is a well-known scam that has intensified recently. Absolutely no one can tell if a computer is infected, unless they have direct access to the computer! If someone calls with this line, people should just hang up. This tech support scam that is making the rounds recently are from unscrupulous companies and individuals, that are calling people claiming that their computer is infected with numerous viruses and the only way to prevent their computer from fatally crashing is to subscribe to their tech support services, so they can remove the threats. Sometimes, to lend credibility to their scam, they claim to be representatives of a leading tech support company, like we are. We are a top ten tech support firm.
We do not scam or rip our customers off. We provide quality, affordable technical support, and always try to provide the best services to our customers. As always, we are here to assist people who truly need our experienced technician’s help regarding their any software related-issues at any time, day or night. That’s why we have earned and maintained an A+ rating from the Better Business Bureau, which tells about our success story and trustworthy service at any point of time. Meanwhile, we hope this serves as a lesson to everyone out there. No one can call you and legitimately say your computer is infected.
This just happened to me, my MS Excel is not working the way it should, so i went on ask.com and typed my question. Then i saw Microsoft support, clicked on it and it was Omni Tech Support. So i typed the problem, waited and got thru to a technician who was to tap to my computer to see the problem. This was a Tech 298, that's what they went by. After a few minutes the tech told me i have a lot of hacking problems and a lot of viruses. That they will charge me $199.99 for the whole fix. Something told me not to go ahead with this. I told the tech I've not been working so i cant afford that, he/she lowered to $119.99, i said that it was still too much. She lowered it to $49.99 then asked me if she could redirect to the payment page so that i can give info of how i will pay, by my checking or savings account. I said when i start working i will contact them so that we can fix my computer. The agent got mad and just logged my computer off. OMNI TECH SUPPORT IS A SCAM!
It’s not true that Microsoft is directing their customers to OmniTech support. The customer might have searched for assistance in resolving a Microsoft product and saw us in search engine list, as we are global and large online independent service provider for all kinds of software issues and we rank very high in the search engines for support on Microsoft products.
As an initial troubleshooting step, our technician runs a free diagnosis on the customer’s computer to uncover the root of the problem. Some issues are obvious, but in others, the diagnosis may uncover registry errors or malicious software. Later our technician might convey this person about the scanned results and possible errors on the computer with the possible effect of those errors. Our process is very transparent and the customer can watch every steps performed by our technician.
Obviously, we are a fee-based solution to our customer’s needs. As is clearly mentioned on our website, we offer annual and half-yearly System Assurance plans, which offer great value. If a customer doesn’t want a subscription plan, they can elect to purchase, one-time fix or single issue support, which are very affordably priced. However, one-time fix price always depends on the complexity of the issue (as required time can be varied to fix issue to issue). This customer might have been given an offer to pay the service charges in installments as he stated, he can't afford the charges. The original price would be the same as explained. This person misunderstood our process.

4.5 hrs watching someone make changes to my computer when a simple explanation of the program I was having problems with would have worked, fortunately I was able to restore to an earlier date and startover. Now to try and get my money back

THESE BASTARDS ARE THE WORST OF THE WORST! A TOTAL SCAM! THEY ARE FRAUDS, LIARS AND CROOKS! I AM DISABLED AND THEY SWINDLED ME OUT OF $250.00 THAT i COULD ILL AFFORD. IT MAKES MY HEART SICK THAT THERE ARE PEOPLE LIKE THEM STEALING MONEY FROM INNOCENT PEOPLE! THEY SHOULD ROT IN HELL!
This case is simple and transparent. We refunded this customer $100.00 after deducting $149.99 for the success resolution of her initial issue. She definitely agreed to it. It’s strange to see a complaint from her even after she got money back from us.
This customer contacted us on January 29,2014 with an issue “Unable to send/ receive in Outlook” and signed up for Half Yearly Plan which includes unlimited tech support by making a payment of $249.99. We didn’t swindle her out of $250.00, she certainly had the service plan explained to her and then she agreed to the payment. As we record every keystroke of chat sessions and record all phone calls, we can prove our position.
Later our technician fixed her Outlook issue and she checked and confirmed the resolution.
Two days later, on January 31,2014, the customer came back to us and asked us to optimize her computer and we performed optimization on her computer.
On the same day she sent a mail stating that we are scam. We couldn’t understand where she had been scammed by OmniTech Support! Then, we called to see what her concern was about, but it reached her voice mail and left a message. On February 4,2014 she again sent a email and asked for a full refund. We don’t give away our services for nothing. Then we called her and we refunded the amount of $100.00 after deducting $149.99 for the two services, with confirmed resolutions by her, rendered by OmniTech Support. We sent a email to her with the refund transaction details.
The transaction details of the refund initiated are given below:

We are an organization, where we always try to provide the best services to our customers who truly need our support. If we make an error, we fix it. OmniTech Support is accredited and rated A+ by BBB, which means that our business has committed to meeting the highest BBB standards and we actively work to resolve and respond to all disputes, even if they are without merit.
SCAM! Same story as everyone else. I went to them for a minor problem and they claimed to be Microsoft. They took control of my computer, ran a "virus" scan, found 300 viruses and said it would be $250 to fix it. When I tried to close their site, they took control of my mouse so I cut the power and got rid of those bastards.
First and foremost, we never claim to be Microsoft nor we did ever. Our company name is very prominent on the website, that when we greet our customers we use our name, our name is on the diagnosis, our name is on the chat window. We are an independent Technical support company and we provide support for various software issues on computers running a Microsoft operating system with the help of our experienced technicians. We record each remote session. We can prove that nothing was done to his computer and his allegation of our planting a virus is simply not true.

In this digital world, it is inevitable that organizations that provide products or services will get complaints. OmniTech Support has also had a few unhappy customers, but that number is a tiny fraction in proportion to the tens of thousands of our satisfied customers. We have resolved or refuted 100% of any complaints against us, real or bogus. Out of courtesy, many organizations provide a common platform, such as online complaint forums or complaint blogs to shed light on the Service Providers and their impact on customers. Among these complaints, a few might have some merit due to a misunderstanding of the services rendered and, unfortunately, others are biased, planted by a competitor, or simply not reasonable to an informed person. The Sitejabber is one of those respected organizations and we sincerely appreciate their efforts to convey to companies any upset customer’s complaints and feedback.
Scam, scam, scam - sure, they can fix your computer, but not before they screw it up entirely, and then spend hours and hours trying to fix it!

We treat our customers fairly and with dignity and respect. We always value their business and we take great steps to do our work properly and to address their concerns.
If the customer’s issue wasn’t fixed, then he/she would have got his/her money back instantly as per our Terms & Conditions, which our customers must agree to before we commence work. We provide quality, affordable technical support (we are a global company), and always try to provide the best services to our customers. That’s why we have earned and maintained an A+ rating from the Better Business Bureau, which tells about our trustworthy service at any point of time.
I was searching for a site to change my screen from win8 to original win7. Instead of a Microsoft site coming up, Omni came up instead. Of course I didn't realize it wasn't Microsoft till about an hour in. The guy ran a scan, he had to tap into my computer to do it. Now I get popups. The scan showed about 12k issues. My computer is 2 weeks old and my scans showed no issues. Being retired and time on my hands, I played him. Got the price down from $280 to $130. I have been online for many years and have a feel for the scammers. The dude wouldn't quit. Telling me my personal info has gone out to all sorts of people. Be sure you are on an official site. I have gotten scammed by clicking on a site, thinking it was legit, it wasn't. If they push hard for $$$, get away as fast as you can, or waste two hours of his time so he wont get a commission.

I had a program problem I needed fixed and called them. They suggested a complete computer tuneup from a scan they did on my computer. I agreed and paid them. They started the clean up on day one and took 6 hours and at that time they caused more errors and ruined my internet connection. They spent 8 hours trying to get my internet connection to work and had me sitting there at my computer the whole time. They finally stated I had an internet problem and to call my provider but I been working with one of their Techs from my laptop the whole time on the second day and then they finally blame the computer having corrupt or no internet drivers. They refunded my money and walked away from providing their services. Now I had more problems then just a program problem which they created. Now my computer is in a repair shop where someone can look at it first hand. They online services depend on your internet connections and your time to sit there in front of the computer. If they do somthing wrong like destroy your internet connection, do not depend on them to help you recover from they problem. They will do the same to you as they did to me. You will be better off taking the computer to a repair store.
This case is very simple and clear. The customer had an unstable Internet connection and this made it nearly impossible to fix his computer’s issue. This customer contacted us on December 23,2013 with an issue: “AOL Desktop not launching in the computer” and paid $129.99 for us to fix the issue. But, we couldn’t complete all troubleshooting steps initially, as it was necessary to reboot the computer (something we need the customer to do) after the initial steps.
We called him to connect back to us remotely, but we only reached his voice mail. Later when the customer came back to us, we were not able to work on the customer’s computer due to an ongoing Internet connectivity issue at the customer’s end. We tried all possible steps to fix it, but we couldn’t due to the instability of his Internet connection. Therefore, we suggested that he to contact ISP to fix the Internet issue first, as it was hardware-related and get back to us, so that we can work further. However, the customer didn’t agree and asked for refund. Nevertheless, we refunded in full and he apparently agreed to it. There is nothing we could offer more in this instance as we cannot work on his computer without an Internet connection.

In spite of working for hours on the customer’s computer, we refunded the full amount and also suggested a resolution for the Internet issue, one which is clearly not caused by us. BEWARE~SCAM ARTISTS! I've been hoodwinked! I wish I would have done a internet search on this company first before shucking out $250! I was redirected to a so called Microsoft site and OmniTechSupport magically appears. I've had nothing but problems with my PC ever since. A female rep. Hung up on me because I told her I couldn't understand her heavy accent. Now here's the real slap in the face. I purchased a brand new PC and as soon as I logged into my email account, the OmniTechSupport signature shows up again with redirecting $#*! and abnormal PC behavior all while the Norton was active. I will be returning my NEW PC & cut off my internet & start going to the local library so they can do that crap on their computers! Makes me wonder if ANY of these so called PC security programs work@ all. > :(

This person, if, indeed, he was a customer, misunderstood our process. We record every keystroke and every chat or phone conversation. We need to do this as there are competitors, who cannot match our terms or expertise, try to disparage us with off-the-wall complaints. We provide quality, affordable technical support, and always try to provide the best services to our customers. That’s why we have earned and maintained an A+ rating from the Better Business Bureau.
I too was told that I had polymorphic viruses. I have spent 3 days and almost 20 hours on live chat with them. I have had one problem after another since they talked me into paying $249.99 for their services. Half way through the fix they asked me for another $199.99 to continue the fix. I told them NO! I was ready to walk away and ask for a refund when suddenly they decided they could fix my computer for the agreed upon price of $249.99. The problem is still not fixed. I am so frustrated! They said they would call me tomorrow to resume looking for the problem - that will be the 4th day in a row that I will spend with them. How do I get out of this. HELP!

SCAM, SCAM. Loaded Windows 8.1 and could not populate the password field. Got on line to see if this was a problem. Clicked on what I thought was a Microsoft web site. Got redirected to this scam. They charged me $249.99. Should have suspected a scam at that time. They checked my computer and said I had all kinds of problems. The bottom line was a conflict between my security program and Windows. I'm a dumb $#*!.

These omnitech guys are a legitimate scam. I purchased a new computer and my desktop was becoming unresponsive within a day of purchase. So i tried to get in touch with microsoft. I was tricked by these guys into beleiving they worked for microsoft. Then they remote logged into my system, EDITED my registry in front of my eyes. The moment i saw that, i knew it was a scam. But i played out the game. Soon they ran a registry check to tell me that 169 errors had been found! So they plant errors and demand 199 $ for undoing it. Ofcourse, i am just going to system recover to undo their malice, but what a sleek scam.

I was having trouble logging into my User account with my password after an upgrade to Windows 8.1 from Windows 8. OmniTech was in the search results when I tried to look for help online and I thought they had expertise with Microsoft products. After chatting with an OmniTech screener person, I was hooked up with one of their techs, who ran an "OmniTech Support PC Diagnosis" program on my laptop. My PC Check came out as "poor" (I took a screen shot of this) and the tech informed me in great detail that my Windows operating system was corrupted by many "polymorphic" viruses. I asked how that could be when I had Norton Security installed and he informed me that these viruses aren't detectable by regular antiviral programs. Fortunately, before he could convince me of what he had to do to fix my system, our chat somehow got disconnected. OmniTech then left a phone message requesting that I call them back at their toll-free line *******940 but I did not respond because it was late at night and I was getting suspicious. Good thing I didn't call them back because after some searching on my own, I found a solution to my User account issue that had nothing to do with my system being corrupted! Also of note, I had to chat with a Norton Security tech the next day due to an incompatibility of one of my programs with their program, and when the Norton tech did a scan of my laptop, he did not find ANY viruses or problems with my system. I'm so glad that I did not get sucked into giving OmniTech any money because they provided totally inaccurate information about my laptop and appear to be a scam operation.

Anti-virus programs can vary widely in what infections they can block and as this customer obviously does not understand, they are not designed to discover corrupted registry errors.

We have earned and maintained an A+ rating from the Better Business Bureau, which tells about our success story and trustworthy service at any point of time.
After thinking I was in contact with a Microsoft related site, I ended up having them tell me my comp was full of viruses. Even tho I have protection on my comp and keep it updated. I was told they could fix it for $250. I ended up taking my comp to a local comp repair shop. It cost me $50 for them to tell me that my comp was fine, no problems.

We provide cost effective support to many thousands per day and they are very happy with our beneficial services to maintain their computer bug free and at peak performance level. No one can produce a false screen of spyware. We ran a PC Health checkup and it displayed some system registry errors, which cannot be changed or modified by anyone through remote access. As it is a trusted 3rd party diagnostic tool, no one can produce a bogus result with it.

This has truly been a night mare! First Windows 8 allows someone to hack my paypal account and then my bank accounts. Then when I unknowingly allow these scum bags to rip me off even further, they did it too!
SHAME ON YOU!

Had a funny feeling while I was online with the tech. Let them look at my computer and of course they found thousands of corrupt files, etc. Told me $199 would take care of everything. I said no. He "put me on hold" while he checked with his supervisor, then came back and said $99. I still said no, then he came down to $79 and when I said good night the cursor began scrambling all over my screen and he clicked on my Quicken icon to open it. I turned the computer off to get the leech off my laptop. I would never recommend them.

I called this company with a simple question, thinking that they were Windows support. They said to me that they were contractors for Windows, not true! After a long time and no solution to my problem, they wanted to scan the PC and I foolishly agreed. After the Scan the agent launched into a sales speech and tried to assure me that there were many problems with my PC. I explained that both my computer people and HP had worked on my PC within the last month and there were no problems. The agent tried to tell me that HP just claims to do work and often has done nothing. I am sure HP would not like that. This company is a fraud and that is the most polite thing I could say! STAY AWAY FROM THEM!
