I will admit I didn't read the rules and regulations but I have some tactical and novelty knives I wanted to sell and looked them up on OfferUp and saw SEVERAL of them and they were from over 4 months ago so saw no problem with it. Well I kept posting the knives and I was getting notifications that it was taken down. I thought, ok maybe bc of the size of the blade or something so I kept posting but left out size. They took them ALL down and suspended my account bc I had too many violations?!? If they were all at one time then how was I suppose to not do it again if I didn't have time between violations? I emailed and told them how I saw MANNNY and they said they don't catch them all? Really? You caught mine in 10min but there are ones up there from 4 months ago AND they allow ads that send you to other companies to sell knives bc they are probably sponsors and THATS ok and noticed all the ones up there are posted by men so I called them sexist and on a rant to let as many people know what pieces of $#*! they are and don't waste your time
Bought a washer and dryer for 300.
They claimed they were working, however
They did not work. I need a refund to buy another set.
I uninstalled and reinstalled the app. Im getting posts from 3 to 4 years ago. I tried contacting offer up to no avail. Waste of my time!
Management from offe up do a poor job on costumer service.
Great lack in professionalism, low qupeople in charge
OfferUp would like you to think of them as a better marketplace than Craigslist, Ebay, or Facebook Marketplace. They are not.
Offerup has two primary issues:
1) OfferUp makes it easy for fraudsters/scammers to utilize the site
2) OfferUp makes it very difficult for legitimate users to utilize the site.
Offerup has an aggressive "ban" program that appears to have little to no validation in it. So if you're a legitimate user that happens to run into one of the many bad actors on this platform, the bad actors can easily get you banned from the site.
It's not worth the hassle or aggravation of dealing with this platform - use Ebay or Facebook Marketplace.
NOTE: If you've been banned for no reason, and you want back on Offerup, file a complaint with the BBB. Offerup seems to have dedicated customer service agents to review/resolve complaints through the BBB (and the general complaint is they ignore/don't respond with any detail/don't resolve the issue through their normal customer support channel.). But once OfferUp accuses you of being an unsavory client of theirs, do you really want to continue to utilize them?
So use OfferUp at your own risk, and don't be surprised when you get a notice of being banned with no detail and without validation.
In my case, after having an account for a few years, I attempted to buy a product from a buyer. It was set up to ship and it was a fixed price. I bought the item at the listed price, and then started getting questions from the buyer on how they were supposed to ship it. I pointed the seller to the OfferUp shipping FAQ's, and shortly thereafter, the buyer canceled my payment.
Again, I have no idea why my account was banned - OfferUp provides no details. Their lack of transparency on matters like this is unacceptable for a platform operator today. Take your business elsewhere.
Called customer service to advise of a fraud issue and was sent to a vacation hotline for Thailand. Enough said?
A site that sales cars and other merchandise it's cool you should try I liked it and I still use it anything you're looking for they had it
Becareful with this seller on offer up. He is a thief, he stole my $200 but never reply back or send me the Item. He is a SCAM!
Don't waste your time unless you like being bombarded with spamming ads and clickbait. When it was let go it was great. Now it's just Spam and scams
OfferUp is a bunch of crap I've tried and tried to cancel, what is going on with this so damn company if that's what it really is.
Who ever posted that 2012 Nissan murano for sale for $1200 should be sent to prison for taking my money it's a fake offer should be sued
I never got paid for the item I sold/shipped out. They never respond to their messages. What a scam.
Listing not even showing even paid money for listing. Get no response from support on my second ticket number.
This site was created by and ran by scammers. I looked up a product and 99% of the products I saw were scams. Don't waste your time on this site.
They allow people to advertise Crap on this site but when someone tries to advertise property for sale or rent they block you
After looking at ads for days I realized that almost all the ads are old some as much as 2 years old. Why would a site keep old ads?
Now they want you to pay for it, just to slow to even consider it. There is nothing but adds anymore just sell it back to let go and move on.
Answer: No limit to how many items you can post. To delete the post. Just click on offers. Them there will be a mark as sold button, edit button, then next to that is a button with 3 dots. Click that. Then click archive. Done. No affiliation
