The overall reputation of OfferUp is marred by significant customer dissatisfaction, primarily stemming from poor customer service and account management issues. Users frequently report abrupt account deactivations without clear explanations, along with challenges in resolving disputes and obtaining refunds. Additionally, many customers express frustration with the app's glitches and the prevalence of fraudulent listings. While some users have had positive experiences with transactions, these are overshadowed by the negative sentiments surrounding the platform's reliability and support. The need for improved communication and user-friendly processes is evident to enhance overall customer experience.

We monitor reviews for authenticity
I have used offer up in the past but recently none of my posting are getting posted. The return emails are no help. Using Craigslist now.
I paid $45 for a bose speaker but they just shipped me a tic tac candy, becareful. I wish have a opportunity to send you a pic. I'm so upset about it.
Offerup Employees are acting as an authenticator for Gucci and Louie Vuitton. Offerup claims that they are connected with LV and Gucci. I sent few peices of my LV that are true and genuine and then Added a Replica along with it to see how good their authenticators were.
SHOCKINGLY... They accepted 3 of the REPLICAS AS AUTHENTIC and REJECTED 2 OF MY REAL GENUINE LV BAGS.
I APPEALED THEIR DECISIONS AND CHALLENGED THEIR AUTHENTICITY PROCES. THEY THREATENED TO DELETE MY ACCOUNT IF I COUNTINUED TO POST MY 2 AUTHENTICATION LV BAGS.
I APPEALED AND TOLD THEM ABOUT THE OTHER 3 REPLICAS THEY ACCEPTED AS AUTHENTIC BUT REJECTED THE OTHET 2 WHICH WERE REAL GENUINE LV.
THEY DELETED MY ACCOUNT FOR CHALLENGING THEM AND TOLD THEM ABOUT THE 3 REPLICAS.
BEWARE BUYERS. REPLICAS BEING SOLD AS GENUINE AND... APPROVED BY OFFERUP AUTHENTICATORS.

Ive been riped off by cheats on offer up, reported them, and they still so business. As for me, i disnt know that you cant post links to items. I did it one time and they removed my account. Here is the message they emailed to me. Hi,
My name is Princess. Thanks for reaching out.
We've reviewed your account and found that you've been sharing links to website is not permitted.
We're serious about making OfferUp the most trusted marketplace. After discovering the conduct above we don't think your actions support that goal. At this time, we will be removing you from OfferUp.
Let me know if you have any questions, I am here to help.
Best Regards,... so... princess blocks my account based on one mistake. But thieves are fine? Offer up is a joke!
Most people dont take down their add, many never answer you when you contact them to purchase their item. Too many uneducated advertise on this site
Either be free open source platform or offer paid services.
I am a business owner and offer up keeps flagging my contents.
If you don't like me posting my products, open a business page sites that just for business.
Don't just flag my content because you don't like businesses posting content.
Pathetic.
They block me and NEVER ANSWER MY E- MAILS
PEOPLE REPOR ME, BUT THEY DONT KNOW WITH WHST KINDA OF CUSTOMER WE HAVE TO DEAL WITH, FAKE CUSTOMERS, CUSTOMERS WITH FAKE DOCUMENTS, BAD ATTITUDE. BUT THEY STILL USING THE APP

Don't buy from Nationwide it's asking to get scammed, you pay the seller & he doesn't respond & the customer support is pathetic, you don't even get your money back.
I have been using the app since 2014 and already accumulated over 100 listings with a perfect 5 star rating ang also made a few purchases locally. Recenttly, i made a payment+shipping(via OfferUp payment system) to a seller in TX for a Samsung Galaxy s9 plus for $650. Days came by, thena week and a half. No phone came. So i messaged the seller but he claims he never received any payment from OfferUp even after i sent him the screenshot of my payment confirmation to his phone and email. Tried to contact OfferUp but to no avail(no contact numbers) except for the Report Flag on the upper right corner of the chat page. So i ended up messaging them in their Facebook page. Just yesterday, found out that all my buying and selling messages were gone, over 100 listings are gone and even homepage not opening. I keep messaging my seller but he kept telling me the same. That he never received any payment from OfferUp. Now i dont what to do and who to turn to retrieve my money.
Started to get convinced like most users have been claiming that OfferUp work and conspiring with scammers. Or OfferUp is scammer itself. Just waited for the perfect time to populate memebers then screw them all at the same time.
I was using this app for quite sometimes untill they start removing my postings due to having inappropriate content which I could never find out what was that about. I had 5star reviews on my account which was rated by more than 20 customers. I tried to contact them and after sending bunch of emails all I got in respond was one short email which said I won't be able to use this app using my account and won't be able to open up another one! Without any info on how my posting were inappropriate. I don't know who is behind this app but they clearly have worst customer service.
I noticed the complaints about buyers here, but what about the bad sellers? I had an experience with a seller that did not sell product (bicycle) as advertised. It had busted tubes and the alignment was bad.
He was then very rude when I contacted him and accused me of tampering with the bicycle. I let it go since it was not a lot of money, but I reported him since he was pretty rude about it. Also he changed the price on the site after agreeing to meet me at our agreed price. I contacted him about it and he says "don't worry just bring the amount we agreed on"
I also read that reporting people really doesn't accomplish anything. I don't think offerup provides any type of guarantee from you getting ripped off or receiving bad service. Also be careful in terms of safety. Always meet sellers in a well lit public place where there are people. You are rolling the dice. Always test product before paying too. This site is only good for cheap stuff under 50 bucks that way it's no big deal if you get ripped off
Worst app ever! Had for over 6 months gave it a shot and all I got was bs. Fake buyers. Fake helpers. Terrible experience. Never again. Seriously the worst!
They would remove posts that followed everything by their rules. They don't send you an email saying exactly why they removed your post. There is no way to contact them on a specific post. Stick with Craigslist and Letgo.
Sellers don't respond or flake out when the deal is done and it's time to meet. OfferUp doesn't do anything when you complain. There's no consequences or repercussions for bad and fraudulent sellers.
OfferUp is not working for 6 months was good now everybody is either non-existent a scammer a tire kicker or they want to offer 10% of the offering price nobody will meet at the police station not any good anymore OfferUp
Way too many scammer people send messages saying they are interested in buying and never come thru the offer I put no reply back from them if anyone know any other places to sell please help don't waste your time on offers up
My first experience was selling a chair. After numerous email back and forths and one meeting cancellation I finally met up with buyer. Drove 5 miles on my lunch break to meet her. After hauling chair out of my car she comments "I think the chair is not tall enough for me desk"
Great, thanks for totally wasting my time. You could have determined that by reviewing the listing. Some flaky Austin chick in her little hybrid car.
I did have one positive sale where buyer showed up with cash and didn't try to retrade the deal. And my last interaction was with someone who wanted an expensive mint down jacket i listed at $49 (a bargain). She didnt have any cash (a major red flag) but could pay me $40 thru Venmo. No thanks.
Use Ebay. Buyers are way more sincere and you get your money upfront.
Too many flakers that don't come through. Waste of my time!
Better yet to sell your items on eBay or Amazon.
The reviews here are so helpful. As my first time to sell something in offerup, i didnt know much about the shipping policy but as i read the negative reviews, i decided to make my item available on my area not nationwide. A couple buyers were so eager. One told me to reconsider my decision to have it ship the item to her. But i refused and said, if she is so eager, i can ship it on my own but not through offerup. Guess what, offerup has a generator/algorithm system that will automatically ban your message if you attempt to negotiate and sell the item other than through offerup itself. Just wow. So be careful what you're saying in your chat. They are watching your words. Lol
Will never use this app again. Big waste of time. You cant call or talk to the managers when There's a problem all you get is a form letter saying you can report to the police if you fell you are the victim of a crime. LAME!
Answer: No limit to how many items you can post. To delete the post. Just click on offers. Them there will be a mark as sold button, edit button, then next to that is a button with 3 dots. Click that. Then click archive. Done. No affiliation
