Absolutely no policing of scam listings. Unable to leave feedback unless a transaction is completed. Meaning, I could message someone, make a deal, and drive 30 minutes to meet them. Wait 20 minutes for them to show. Then, they can message me to just forget the deal. It's off, and I CANNOT LEAVE NEGATIVE FEEDBACK FOR THIS. So, the next guy gets screwed as well because I can't leave negative feedback in this scenario. The report an issue is worthless because nothing is ever followed up on by Offer Up. Listings are years old and absolutely worthless because the item was either sold elsewhere, the seller is a flake and totally forgot that they even listed it, or it's stupidly high priced which is why it will never sell and it's just taking up space on the site and I have to see the listing always even though it's a wasted listing. Scam ads run rampant and try to scam everyone. LetGo was much better! Force listings to renew listings at 30 days like LetGo did. Get rid of scam listings selling $******* items for 400 bucks. Allow feedback and penalize the scum that get blocked by 5 or more people regardless of their star rating. Clearly they are scum if 5+ people block them after messaging alone! Total crap.

I hate offer up so much I plant fake post just to waste the time of the rude low ballers.

There is far too many scams. There are cars for sale that you need to use a hot mail account to contact. If you check the same car will be listed in several states and cities. They always claim to be listing it for a relative. Then there are several ad's that have unbelievable prices. You will never get what you paid for. OfferUp will not help and apparently they don't have a department to report scams to. I never got my bongos and congas and got zero help from OfferUp the scam is back up@ OfferUp

Offer up is legit the worst selling platform out there. They charge astronomical fees to sell/buy, and if someone has a question and wants to talk on the phone, you try to send your number and they delete all your posts and close/block your account. Go screw youraelf, will go use Craigslist or FB Marketplace thank this piece of garbage app!

I've been trying to buy a car for about two weeks now off the offer-up app and no one responds to any messages and also when you email the people they all say the same thing about every car, which makes me think they are scams and they used eBay to sent car which doesn't make sense if their using the offer-up app.

Tried to buy a nintendo wii on offerup and even got as far as the seller accepting my offer and the payment going through. The next day I get an email saying my account was terminated for "violating community guidelines". Big surprise, I reviewed the guidelines and I of course did nothing to even come close to violating them. I used a legit account to buy something using a legit card connected to a legit bank. So when i emailed them about it, stressing that i did nothing wrong and that my money may be in the ether somewhere, they replied "Offerup reserves the right to remove profiles at its own discretion with or without previous warning or education efforts". Wow, thanks.
I'm still trying to email them, but it's clear they do not care about their customers at all and are very cowardly hiding behind an email instead of any actual phone number to call in order to solve things. Terrible company, don't even bother.

I have had offer up for years. NEVER violated any community rules. My daughters and I started having tech problems. Customer service to get help isn't reliable. First saw a msg that I needed to reset password. Once I did I couldn't log back in. Saw a msg that says I violated community rules. So I'm done and deleted App. Great idea bad business management.

Ever since the change... dead! I'm sure others are experiencing the same thing. Letgo was perfect... what's with all this jazzy stuff... local... shipping... you should have just left it alone.

Moving my items over to Craig's list, market place...

Another users asked about one of my items and then changed her mind about a minute after. She's in TC and I'm in NC, so I responded that I don't ship to TN anyways, to which she responded that she doesn't deal with $#*!s. I sent a bunch of laughing smileys, then she responded saying that it was her "15 year old nephew" who has "had bad experiences with black and hispanic people in the past." Get the hell out of here. If you are a person of color, do not use this app. It's taking forever to for these idiots to solve the issue even though I have provided them with the user's name and screenshots of the conversation. They have no customer service phone number to speak directly to a human being, so everything is done through email. I had to take to social media just to get their damn attention because they kept saying they couldn't find my account with the email address I provided, even though I sent them screenshots from my settings. These people are idiots.

Its been 2 months and you have not deposited my money.My bank is correct. I will report this to the BBB and I'm going to file a complaint with the attorney's general's office.

The people on OfferUp that respond to posts for items with very reasonable prices are a waste of time. I get so many, "I want to buy your item!" responses and then get jerked around back & forth. I offered a shelf unit for $10 and this woman asked if I delivered! Is she insane? Car gas would cost more that the $10 If get for it. Another woman said she'd get back to me by 6 pm about picking it up. She did NOT. Too many flaky idiots. Craigslist is way, way better to sell items on. Never again will I deal with the idiots on OfferUp. Waste of my time!

This site would not exist without buyers. I am a buyer, here, on Ebay, Amazon. I have over 3500 positive reviews on Ebay as a buyer, but this site is the worse ever. You take your chances whenever you order out of your area and pay online. If the item arrives broken, damaged or doesn't arrive at all, don't count on getting your money back. This venue favors scammers and it is rife with these types of "sellers". The item I ordered arrived broken. It's been one week and over a dozen e-mails trying to get a refund. Even though the company knew there was a problem with the shipping, they still released my money to the seller and I'm having to go through hoops and hurdles trying to get a refund. My best advice-stay far away from this site.

Offer Up complaint department screwed me by siding with dishonest seller who agreed to my full price offer, then got greedy and welched and asked for more money. I reported that the seller is trying to use offer up as an auction site. Offer up has no standards of conduct. I will not use offer ul again.

Be careful what you post. What's good for the goose may NOT be good for the gander. It seems as though OfferUp's screening process of "Prohibited" items is quite selective and only goes so far. Customer service is no help whatsoever as actual people don't respond. Inquiries and complaints are handled automatically with general prefab responses. Good luck!
