I've always had positive experiences with Nordstrom, but unfortunately, this recent purchase fell short of expectations. I bought a Marc Jacobs purse as a Mother's Day gift for my wife, thinking it would be brand new and pristine—especially given Nordstrom's reputation for quality and customer care. However, upon opening the package to inspect the item, I discovered that the purse had been previously used. Inside, there were multiple receipts left by the former customer, which clearly indicated it had been returned before being sent out to me. This is extremely disappointing. As a loyal customer, I expect Nordstrom to uphold higher standards, ensuring that all items listed as new are thoroughly inspected before resale. The fact that this transaction occurred reflects a lapse in quality control that is simply unacceptable. I trusted Nordstrom to provide a flawless shopping experience, and this incident has left me frustrated and hesitant. I hope Nordstrom takes steps to prevent such oversights in the future
I had 2 dresses I was returning. 1 to Macy's and 1 to Nordstrom Rack. I messed up the labels and didn't realize it until I received 1 dress back from Macy's. Thank you to them! I contacted Nordstrom and they said it's in their return policy that if something is sent to them in error, it will not be returned. I think this ridiculous that a billion-dollar company can't return something. So I'm out $100. They said it's recycled. So, I'm guessing, it's in a landfill or an employee has it. Both are unacceptable. I won't be shopping with them any longer.
Nordstrom Rack uses OnTrac shipping which is notorious for "losing" packages. My package was "lost" but this was only determined after I repeatedly contacted Nordstrom Rack via their customer service chat and phone number. I was able to get a full refund by calling their number and clearly explaining my situation, however, I can only imagine the number of customers that wouldn't advocate for themselves in that way due to a variety of reasons. This would lead me to believe there are many NR customers which do not receive their purchase yet NR still profits. Seems clear that NR cares about profit far more than their reputation and/or customer satisfaction. This being said, I'd shop at NR only in-person at an actual storefront, never again online.
I ordered three items that were listed on the website and charged for the items and shipping. 3 days later, I get a message saying that my order is cancelled because the items are not available, and that I will get a refund in 7-10 days. This company is playing games with people's money. We'll see what kind of refund I actually get...next week!
I purchased a $650 bag that was delivered to the new store in Omaha. I picked up the bag which was in a shipping box and when I got it home to open it up, I realized they sent me the wrong bag. The bag they sent me was not my style at all and $200 less than the bag I ordered and wanted. I contacted customer service which is the worst CS I've ever received. They wanted me to pay an additional $650 to send a replacement. When I told them no...they can send the replacement once I return the bag they insisted on getting my Credit Card info to "hold" just in case. What?! This business is a scam.
Do yourself a huge favor and don't order anything from this site. It has. Nothing to do with the REAL Nordstrom. They'll take your money but never ship anything. Good luck trying to get customer service or anything. It's practically non existent. How this site is allowed to post and conduct business by these social media sites is beyond me.
I found out later that some of my order was a special sale that means Not Returnable. I phoned up and their website said to go to the store. I just spent time waiting on line at the store only to be refused again.
They have lost a customer—but I guess they don't care.
If you change your mind on an order you only have one hour to get a refund, according to the customer service person. No where online or on my email receipt does it state that. It states that there is short time to cancel. I tried to cancel after 5 business hours and they wouldn't budge.
Shoes was uncomfortable, it's difficult to say if it's comfortable at all unless you wear it all day. Worn it once and they refused to take it back. I just won't shop at this store anymore. If I could rate them a zero I would!
Last Christmas 2022, I placed an order for a gift and they cancelled it 8 days later- so I was out a gift 3 days before the gift exchange. I should have learned! This year, 2023, I ordered Men's Ugg boots for my son on 12/9/23, and on 12/14/23 I received women's waterproof walking boots instead. I am DONE with this company. Their online customer chat showed no care and typos.
Order: 1 pr sandals that didn't fit (84.22) Returned within hours. Charged almost $10 for emailed shipping label for return and another 10 for shipping. Total refund 64.12! NO EXCHANGE POLICIES/ $20 to try on a pair of sandals. Worst company I ever purchased from. NEVER AGAIN
Michelle Salatorie was the most rudest employee of Nordstrom Rack in years she is very fake and has showed nothing but favoritism in the work place she is rude and I will never shop here again! She is lacking leadership and should be written up with her nasty attitude
Nordstrom Rack took 16 days to ship a $200 item that I ordered. To make matters worse, LaserShip stopped updating tracking shortly after taking possession of the item. It hasn't moved in 10 days. Nordstrom says that, according to store policy, I have to wait 9 *business days* before they will consider it lost. LaserShip hasn't responded to me at all. Well, I'm not playing their games! I have a policy too: I *will not* wait more than a month for an order and I will not be victimized! I called my credit card company and initiated a charge back.
This company is simply unable to meet the expectation of today's shoppers. They take way too long to ship, have unreliable shipping partners and treat customers badly compared to other successful online businesses. This is what it looks like when business leaders fail to keep up with technology.
TL; DR place your order in July to get it in time for Christmas!
Apparently even a "manager" cannot return an item with tags on, in the original shopping bag, and with a receipt, if it's dated anything over 60 days. Might have gotten further if I "lost" my receipt. Doesn't make any sense. I worked retail in Seattle for many years when Nordstrom was known for their customer service; in particular, accepting return on a set of tires! This got them decades of positive and free publicity. Guess those days are gone, but in a world with fewer free-standing retailers you would think customer service would be more important. Oh well… time to shop elsewhere…
"Final Sale" is just that. Even if merchandise is defect you are stuck with item. Sole off boot after a few wears, sneakers where stitching gave way within a short time. You own it. Bad customer deal.
Order took over 2 weeks to ship to me. (while it states on website 1 - 3 days) I received multiple emails - you will receive your order tomorrow, only to receive another with a further date. In today's logistics world, to have to wait so long is quite a joke. My business trip has come and gone, and I'm still waiting for my shirts...
Wow nordstrom rack, you all tried to pull a fast one on me. I returned a coat that I purchased for $129.97. I received an email stating my refund was for $58.93 so short by $71.04. Upon further examination I see that I was charged $68.89 for "Late Return fee". I've never heard of anything like this and it certainly does not mention this in the return policy. Just wanted to warn people of this. I called and they did refund that fee but just wonder how long they have been doing this.
I ordered a beautiful leather bag for my husband's birthday. When it was delivered, I opened the box to old worn sneakers. I called corporate and they would just hang up every time I called. I had to physically go to the store which is 30 mins away from me. They didn't even have the bag in the store so the best they could do is return the money to my card. I was left with no gift for my Husband. Never doing online shopping for Nordstrom Rack Again! After reading reviews I see this is not the first time this has happened
If you order an item and they ship the wrong item to you, you end up getting a partial refund because you pay for the shipping both ways as well as the tax paid on the item that you never received! That was how I felt and rightly so. But I must admit that after contacting them thru their chat now line, I was kindly assisted and refunded the remainder so that I received all of my money back. I'm just not sure how I feel about trusting their shipping department again.
Bought a pair of Sperry boots online in May, then started to wear them in Oct, the zipper already coming apart in two months. I called their customer service and was told they can't do anything about it... Bad customer service and bad product
Answer: Yes, they canceled my order, then still charged me for it.
Answer: It took roughly 2 to 3 weeks to process my order. I placed a similar order with a different company and received the items by the end of the same week.
Nordstrom Rack's reputation is marred by significant customer service challenges, particularly related to shipping delays, order cancellations, and issues with returns. Many customers report dissatisfaction with the responsiveness and effectiveness of customer support, which often leads to frustration and a lack of trust in the online shopping experience. Conversely, some customers express satisfaction with product quality and the resolution of specific issues when they proactively engage with customer service.
